Hibs Club statement on Allan:

"In the face of continued media interest, Hibernian Football Club can confirm that Scott Allan has today handed in a written transfer request.

This comes on the back of two unwelcome and uninvited approaches from Rangers FC regarding Scott, the first for £175,000 and the second for £225,000.

Hibernian FC has refused both bids because the Club has no wish to transfer a valuable player to strengthen a major rival in the battle to win the Championship and gain promotion to the Premiership.

Hibernian’s position has not changed. The player will not be sold to Rangers."

if sa has submitted request and hibs are saying no,, what happens then

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed039's Note - PFA Scotland might try and step in to mediate but just because a player submits a transfer request doesnt mean his team have to sell. If Hibs dig their heels in then nobody can force them to sell, he could just sit out the season in the reserves)

hibs have a very unhappy player who has been lied too by his manager and board there fans are giving him and his family so much stick on social media if you see pictures from bbc alba you can lip read there fans telling him to f off when he was warming up and they say they want him to stay if stubbs was on the same commission deal as his pal mcnamarra is with his players he would drive him to ibrox himself

The hype over this is staggering. They should accept the situation as it is, thank him for getting them into 2nd spot last season and realise a handsome profit from the sale. It's gone from " not for sale " to " not be sold to Rangers " in three days.

Allan was player of the season and that in itself attracts interest from other clubs and this bid from us should have been well anticipated and prepared for by Hibs. Instead it's turned into a debacle blown out of all proportion. It needs to be cooled down and letting him go for a reasonable fee to us is the only answer.

SA has handed in his official written transfer request (Daily Record)

Also if Rhys McCabe signs for Hibs are Rangers due a fee as he was one of our youth academy players?

Season tickets pass 30,500 - amazing. But If we want to see more signings, and if we want to see a bigger bid in for Scott Allan then I suggest we put more trust in our board and make a big push for 35,000. If we can do 38,000 for McCoist and the horrible football we played under him, then surely we can do something similar if not more for a team that plays attractive football like we are trying to do this year. Come on fellow bears!

He will be a Rangers player very soon. There's a lot of bad hibs fans saying terrible things about him and his family absolutely shocking!! There's no chance he will ever play for hibs again.

He will end up signing for a SPL team (Aberdeen, Dundee Utd or Celtic)

That is looking likely unless he hangs onto next season to sign for us but I find that unlikely

God u would think use were trying to sign messi or ronaldo the way sum of use are going on! The boys a decent player but nothing more! And as for he'll end up at Celtic! He wouldn't get in our team! Like I said decent player but he's playin in a poor hibs team which make him look good! The same hibs teams use beat in the the playoffs last season! Poor lot! He would be nothing more than a squad player with the champs!

STOP TALKING ABOUT SA I enjoy this page but it's killing me the now. 5 yrs ago he would be a squad player now the saviour of Rangers. Looking forward to a good entertaining season got some great signings in that look the part.

that was then though, this is now, new era n all that,id take the boy in a heart beat, but am being serious here when I say this, we don't need him, and a don't know where he'll fit in, so its fairness to say, if we get him, well good, but if we don't at this moment and time, am not really to bothered.

Do we bid one final offer of £400,000 for Scott Allan or do we just wait in the hope that he would sign in Jan?

If he were wanting to definitely sign in Jan, for me it would work out perfectly and more preferable for both Scott Allan and Rangers if they were to go up to the SPL for many of reason, not least the fee demanded from Hibs

Would rather bid £450,000 and get him now to be honest. Think if we wait he might end up going to England if he gets the chance.

Fed up hearing about Scott Allen now if it isn't going to happen we should look at other targets like cover for LB and another wide man! Then come back for him on a pre contract! Scottish football chairmen are some of the greediest individuals on the planet and will hold us to ransom every chance they get! Trust in MW's contacts south of the border for recruitment
