Was wondering something and hope someone can correct me if I am wrong but Rangers can put in bids and agree terms with players with the actual transfer not happening till January. Can they not?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I might be wrong as well, but do they not have to be in the last six months of their contract before you can even talk to them. and given that most contracts end may/june time of year. I wouldn't imagine there would be many available, unless they come from outside europe.

if you are talking about buying them, I think you have to wait til january.

you already have a team of players who are scottish top tier standard to win third tier league, why do you need /want more, when you don't even know if you can afford them. shammy

Why hasent ally signed a central defender yet, cribari is slower than my granny and perry's rank rotten?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Simple, has to offload first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well the 2 of them will be very hard to get rid of so we already have at CB Cribari, Faure, Perry, Hegarty, Gasparrotto, Cole, McCulloch & Daly can play there but I really hope he's only used as a striker. So when u look at it that way how can we justify a new defender & how can we afford to have all those players picking up a wage & not playing? I agree it's the 1st area that should have been looked at but only if we get rid of Ally's Deadwood!

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember we have Kyle Mcausland who is a Centre Back and just came back from loan at ayr he only 20 and looks very promising also scored 3 goals for ayr last season more than Cribari, Faure, Perry, Hegarty put together in a higher league as well

Any1 els fink we should bring in players for the future dnt beleive we should be signin players over the age of 23 my self
What's your thots?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think that team still needed a stronger nucleus and now I think we've got it, right done the middle from back to front we have Bell, McCulloch, Law & Daly which is a strong base. let's hope Clark can bang them in again & players like Temps McLeod McKay Wallace all perform to the standard needed this team should be romping the 2nd division & the Ramsdens cup no doubt. We've brought in 3 very good team players in Smith Foster & Daly plus we've yet to see much of Peralta who looks like he could be the hard hitting ball winner we needed for these lower leagues.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with nearly all your points Larky but would just play youngsters in the Ramsden's Cup to give them experience like Arsenal and others do in the LC in England. After all, we're Rangers and bringing on the youth is more important than winning the a minor Cup. Doubt Ally will see it that way though.

Good point but newcastle fans hate him and are always demanding multi million pound signings as with us it would be a lot cheaper and he has links with us already with the kit deal

Over the 27,000 mark for ST's now. The lassie in the ticket office yesterday told me they were expecting over 25,000 by close of play today, so things are on track anyway. Great effort bears as always.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Take my hat off to the loyal season ticket holders who have again stood proud. The public sale for season tickets are next week bears. let's show the watching world just how good our loyal and undying support for club is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't even make sense. Over 27k now you state but you were told that it would be over 25k by end of today. martyc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

N2 wake up the op is trying to letus know we have sold more tickets than sales girl expected to sell maybe you should think before typing

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Of course it wouldn't make sense to you ya diddy. Is 27,000 not over 25,000?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 you are a bunnet and why are you so concerned about our st sales is it because we are the best most loyal fans in the world and that is so hard for you to take. jmgers

Agree0 Disagree0

We've sold 44k :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Should you fail to reach europe next month then you will be lucky to see 44k all season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7: doesn't really matter if at least 44,000 have bought STs - money in the bank.

Agree0 Disagree0

7 we will still get Europa anyway still Europe

Anyone know when the new kits will be available for retail?
Cant seem to find any info.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Rangers site gives the dates on the page revealing the strips

3rd kit, July 25th

Home Kit, August 8th

Away Kit, September 5th

Training Gear, 11th July

Agree0 Disagree0

Third kit - July 25th
Home kit - August 8th
Away kit - September 5th

Agree0 Disagree0

Traditionally the home kit was sold from 1st August, then over the last 10years it slowly got earlier until it was releases during the previous season!

Does anyone not think we should be looking at our scouting and coaching system. instead of spending money on all these players we should get decent coaches to make better use of Murray park. the amount of players we've brought through since it was opened is nothing short of scandalous.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah that's an overnight exercise ain't it and a new crop of players will be ready for the new season. These players that we have brought in for heehaw will command a transfer fee down the line. The club is making money in these players over the long term.

Agree0 Disagree0

They'll spend more on wages than any of the money they think they'll sell them on for.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 who exactly will command a transfer fee? Daly? Smith? Foster? I doubt very much that any of the players signed will be improved then sold for a transfer fee. U need to get guys around 18-20 develop them then sell them on something that ain't going to happen under McCoist

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ Who will command a fee? Daly, Black or Shiels? The buying policy is all wrong. Ally is unwilling to play younger players in case promotion is put in doubt.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've already reviewed the coaching system. Did you not see the new one we just brought in from Holland? It's Premier League level apparently!

(Sorry couldn't resist lol!)

Can I just say with all these presumed signings you are getting, your bus better be a world record bus as it has to fit about 100 guys in it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What a load of rubbish on the bus you only take a squad of about 23 players 11 to play 5 on bench and rest encase they get an injury in the warm up and about 12 coaches/media guys

Can anyone clarify this for me. Now that the SPFL has went though can 3rd division teams now be relegated?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, to the 4th division.

not a fact just a comment I saw on newcastle page, mike ashley is open to selling newcastle because he has his eye on rangers. what do you think? would you take him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wishful thinking by the Geordies. Why swop the EPL for Scotland? Financial madness, and I don't see him doing it.

New puma kit launched with blackthorn sponsorship

What are the moaners going to pick on next

Jg

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good call sir. Loads of wee timmies at work and on forums saying that both deals were dead in the water.
Whats that coming over the hill. Its the Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like them, on the picture I did notice how rediculous the size of the shorts are. For the first time I would consider buying all 3. Some are moaning saying these are templates. So what!, they were also templates when we won 8 in a row, France had the same shirt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post number 1 were the most successful club in scotland and the timmys can't get over it

Got to congratulate the board, forward planning for the future. The addition of a new Dutch coach will be good for the younger players. Or have I read this wrong?

Well that's the new SPFL merger through with Rangers were associate members of the SFL but are now full members of the new organisation with full voting rights.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does anyone know if players will use there allocated shirt numbers now or if it's still 1-11 for the starting line up?

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Can anyone tell me the answer to the tv money? what proportion are we getting this season?
fauldsrfc

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 still fraction of what we got before, also we now share with 30, rather than just 12 before, and also green gets his cut first

whatever is left ally gets as a war chest. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 thanks, no one seems to know. I thought tv money worked like spanish and english where everyone gets a standard amount and then the more times your on tv the more you get. Manchester United and qpr didn't receive the same tv money last year, qpr about 40m and Manchester United just over 60m. don't seem to see our amounts probably to save face ha

Official. Rangers total salary bill is BIGGER than that of Celtics! Better buy those briefs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Where is the evidence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye ok. and the proof of this is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance not with guys like Ledley & Brown there on the equivalent of 4 or 5 of our 1st teams wages let's see the figures to prove it please?

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Source? or is it east end accountants yet again!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont talk rubbish celtic have quite a few players on 20k a week and the others are just below it anf there are a few on 8k a week

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets just entertain this rumour for a second then shall we, even for banter purposes.

How? Why? and were on earth is the proof to back this up?

Agree0 Disagree0

OP. Total SALARY BILL, not talking about players! Have a look at the boardroom structure! Total wage bill is higher thann Celtics, don't just look at players wages. Look higher and think more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter nonsense!

there won't be a player in the first team, on less than 15k a week and most will be on a lot more. samaras, ledley, brown will be on 30k ish.

Agree0 Disagree0

One easy answer, get the audited accounts out for all too see, or are they being cooked. usual hold up, 3years in a row this has happened, they will scare the sh*t out everyone when the real costs are shown

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't care what celtic do

Agree0 Disagree0

Sally on his won cost 1. 375million last year. To win Div 3!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your lot must be paying 3rd div wages then down at the "dump".
Roll on the season. we got enough players to win every game this time. time for a punt me thinks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon is not on 750,000 that Ally is.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a percentage of turnover (which is the universally agreed marker). Rangers are well into the danger zone - Celtic are near the 60% norm. Yes rangers have a much higher wage bill in this respect and its going to bite hard very soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 21:17:06
375 million please just go and read this back to me haha the boy must of just had a line of coke before he posted haha w, a, t, p

Agree0 Disagree0

@15/ Oh dear. Read it properly funny guy. Or are you on the Bolivian marching powder? Clearly states£1 POINT 375m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only correct and proper that the manager of the worlds greatest club is the highest earner,, duh? the gers are on the way back, be prepared, ugly betty knows it and he will bolt after he wins another nothing title,

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you included the money you pay to keep them quite tho?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 07:49:50
Gordon. Would also be usefull in brining the younger lads on. Would be a asset.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Theres a full time keeper coach to bring the young boys on FFS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not so much a rumour as a thought I've been having - Rangers are likely to see Boca head back to the states and Goian will probably dissappear back to Romania or something so they are therefore linked with every freebie CB available.

I personally don't think we will sign 2 players, maybe 1 but I think we have a CB pairing at the club to challenge any. McCulloch and Hegarty.

Hegarty has great potential and McCulloch is. well. McCulloch. Experienced leader of men who could bring Hegarty on.

Just wondered what everyones thoughts on the issue were. very interesting and hard decision. Over to you Super Ally

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you play McCulloch at CB you have to sit deep as he has no pace. This then draws the midfield in leaving a huge gap to the front men. Cue the long ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hegarty is as bad as perry and that's pretty bad, gasparotto should be given a few games but I'd have McCulloch at the back with a signing
fauldsrfc

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually agree with you mate but got the feeling I might be the only one. I would love to give the young boys hegarty and gasporatto a game in div 2&1 to see how they cope and then re-asses the situation before SPFL. McCulloch will do a job back there but personally, I'd like to see and experienced cb to play alongside either of the lads, to hopefully enhance their development. Not sure mcculloch is the right man to do this (even though he could do a job back there)

GordyBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to sign another experienced CB, but we could play Wallace and have Smith at LB.
McAusland, Gasparato, andHegarty are other options.
Faure and Cribari would be only used if the squad has major injury problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hegarty is woeful and shouldn't be anywhere near the team. What potential has he got? He is slow, can't pass and rotten going forward so where is the potential? Very average player who found his level last season in div 3

Agree0 Disagree0

Hegarty is probably the worst player in our squad right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

How hard realistically is division 2 going to be? A lot of talk about new signings but does anyone seriously think we haven't already got enough depth to win this division easily. The likes of East Fife and Arbroath with no disrespect intended to them, will not provide us with any major challenges

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No they should not. But Ally's management last season proved some teams can get at the defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't imagine there's much of a gap between Div3 & Div4 so with the new signings I reckon we are further ahead of our opponents than last year.

We would win this league with a team comprising manily youngsters.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 youth is not good enough old experience pros and more experience players in the league would beat the youth they are still learning the game and a mix is needed to get through

Agree0 Disagree0

3. I said a team comprising mainly youngsters.

Not like say Dunfermline who really will be fielding a team of youngsters next season, all likely 17-19 year olds.

This was a fantastic chance to develop our youths but Ally is frankly too scared to risk it. Ok not enough maybe shone through last season but neither did Black, Sandaza or Shields, looks to me like that's largely down to coaching and not the fault of the Ibrox youngsters.

Agree0 Disagree0

I asked the lassie in the ticket office today how many season ticket's have/will be sold and she just said they think they'll have sold about 25,000 by close of day tomorrow. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not bad. Get another 15k or so on the gate. Be fair. Get a few positive results be 50k again. Also if that 25k figure is true there is still a way to go before season starts. May reach 30k or more. Like I say if its true.

Agree0 Disagree0

If true then not surprising that 13,000 haven't renewed yet. The turmoil in the boardroom and appalling football produced has clearly affected sales

Agree0 Disagree0

How many are kids ST's

Agree0 Disagree0

Payday weekend, will likely see a good few sold

Agree0 Disagree0

At average £200 that £5mill.

Enough to survive to start of season, or pay of the spivs.
