Morelos has a 1 in just over 2 scoring record with us, Not bad for a 21 year-old, in a new country and did not speak English . He is still very raw but with the right coaching, as I now believe we have, we could have a star on our hands, 18 in 43 not a bad record for any young striker . He needs work but does a lot of things right . He can only get better, I think 30 next season is not out of the question .

Morelos partnered in 4-4-2 is my much preferred shape. It remains to be seen how Morelos performs with a partner up front.

on morelos. kid hadnt had a break for 2 years solid, ran himself into the ground every game and still hit nearly 20 goals. kid has the talent and hunger to be a rangers star

on sadiq. his goal ratio not good? 5 in 13 for NAC who were 5th bottom and struggling side isn't a bad return given the chances he would of had, 3 in 8 for roma is decent, hit loads for spezia to get his move. kid has something about him

on Edourd. bigget waste of money ever. 1 in 16 at psg, 11 in 29 for the dirty lot last year isn't a good return when you consider they dominated 99% of gmaes and created chance after chance. bang average player

To say ‘looks like we finally have a decent striker coming in’ is a bit of a jump. We’re taking in a young guy with potential who in his only real taste of first team football scored 5 goals in 12 games. Not a bad record but is it not suggesting a bit much that our current striking option (ie Morelos is a bad striking option and this guy will be much better? I hope he really does turn out to be a great player for us but let’s not already set our expectations high only to then knock him if he doesn’t live up to them. For what’s it’s worth my guess is Gerrard is bringing him in to boost our striking options but not as a first team starter. I feel he will bring in a much bigger name or more tried and tested forward still as our main striker/ challenger to Morelos

So you judge Morelos, who was a 21 year old, who comes from a very different background, and yes did miss some sitters but was still our top scorer in his first season and who works harder than probably any other forward in the league as a dumpling but you’re staying that someone you’ve never seen play before (other than you tube clips, which by the way if you were to watch those of Morelos he looks tremendous) who is also very young and coming in from a very different background will be streets ahead of him and a much better forward?
I genuinely hope you’re right and he turns out to be a world beater, however let’s not build him up too much at this point, at least until we’ve seen him play.

One thing I did notice about the training camp was I have never seen Morelos smile so much .
He never had a decent pre season last year and was on his own up front, let's give the lad this season to prove himself .

I think that possibly Morelos's main strength last year was his physical energy and being a real nuisance to defenders, now I don't think I'm being unfair here, but the boy was a couple of pounds over weight.
The prospect of a lean fit Morelos with a good pre season under his belt is something that excites me more than the prospect of Umar coming in on loan.

Totally agree with you Ger78, let lay off Morelos, I honestly believe he will be a real asset for us this season and will score plenty of goals. Yes he will miss some sitters but all strikers miss some. The thing to remember is that you have to be in the right place to score and to miss.
I am looking forward to seeing a fitter, fresher Morelos this season

21 yr old who played for 2 straight seasons there without a break. 89 first team games with 42 goals and been away from home since 17 yr old with a. language barrier. Aye morelos is a dumpling. I'm not a great fan but nothing to do with football but his record says otherwise. Certainly not a dumpling at football in his short career.

Get a grip and get behind the young colombian! Morelos is a good young striker, who of course has a bit to learn, but will get better and better! I have a very strong feeling that 'EL BUFFALO'will have a very good season for us this season! Remember an important statistic here, before anyone is too critical of him! Morelos didn't get any rest at all when he signed for us, from helsinki! He had a year of playing without any rest, as the finish league is played at a different time from ours!

I hope Morelos has an outstanding season, firstly because it will obviously help us but secondly he takes an absolute pounding from our own fans and fans of other teams.
Yes he van vossened it more than a few times granted and there are no excuses for those mistakes if he were a 27 or 28 year old with lots of experience but he's not, he is a young lad who as many have stated basically played without a pre season so was knackered before everyone else, also the hundreds of thousands of us rangers fans were pinning all our hopes on him, he had to carry the burden because no other striker could, give this guy a break and some time and I am sure he will blow our socks off, if I am wrong fair enough but I genuinely think he could be a cracking player for us this season.

Alves is 50 50 to me, he's obviously a good defender looking at his CV but had awful players around him last year so could come good still.

The squad is too big and the players that we need to exit include guys like Halliday and Hodson that will be less than easy to move on. We also need to bring in players since the current squad, thanks to the aforementioned and others are simply no where near good enough. Personally I would like to see us sign a top quality box to box midfield player and a top notc

Rumour has it Cardiff to trigger his £3m Release clause. There was confusion about the Release clause but asked 4LHAD and they said there is a Release clause.
