Well I agree with stubbs for once. A 2 goal advantage isn't a comfortable advantage

Believable1 Unbelievable7

28 May 2015 23:50:39
Difference being that we were the home team with 2. with second game being away. This time is the home team who are 2 up. and with their own support and ground to help them . hard ask i'm afraid. Different scenario.

Agree1 Disagree2

28 May 2015 23:56:55
ALLY, Motherwell were incredibly sloppy after we scored, the nerves have kicked in and McCall will have the lads ready to go flying at them

Agree2 Disagree3

29 May 2015 09:23:19
Onlyshowaround would you have agreed with Stubbs had he said it after the 1st leg last week? Or now simply because it is something you want to believe?

Agree1 Disagree0

29 May 2015 09:39:30
No actually Gaz I agreed with stubbs. A 2 goal advantage is never comfortable. Everyone in football knows a 2 goal advantage isn't a comfortable one.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 May 2015 20:59:16
No worries onlyshow, it definitely has a stick or twist element to it, strangely more so with the home leg to come, Celtic didn't know what to do after 3-1 in Amsterdam O'Neill's 2nd year, lost 1-0 at Parkhead. If you want any comfort for Sunday to date every single SPL play off final game has been a two goal victory for the away team. 0-2,0-2,1-3. So ya never know. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2015 23:11:12
think we would been better served playing same formation at Easter road tonight surely
McCall knowing Motherwell as he does must have knowing they would rip our defence apart with there pace think the players must thought they where on holiday tonight after getting 3.4 days off at training this game has just showing if we where to get up how hard it be to just keep ourselves in the league never mind pie in the sky ideas from king of challenging Aberdeen and for top six spot after Sunday its time for king to deliver on his promises of between 20 to 30 million of investment regardless of what league we are in and to get a new manager in then let them replace every sing;le player at our club cause without doing this we will struggle players are terrible standard

Believable5 Unbelievable1

28 May 2015 23:31:17
You can't be serious! 20 30 million? That's just not going to happen my friend.

Agree3 Disagree3

29 May 2015 00:40:05
jack can I ask you why this is not going to happen this is what david king said previously so only pointing out what he said surely he will not go back on his promises I look forward to hearing his plans for future after Sunday regardless of league we are club needs striped top to bottom after Sunday it will be kings time stop all the talk instead fans will want to see actions as saying goes actions speak louder than words

Agree2 Disagree1

29 May 2015 14:07:37
Yes criag I can tell you why I think this. Wait I have NOMAD idea why I would suggest king is a liar!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2015 22:35:16
Typical rangers not taking our chances and we can't blame mcall mans only working with tools he got a hope super ally watched that tonight and seen his mess he created for us or maybe he was watching his bank account going up and up instead watp

Believable2 Unbelievable7

28 May 2015 22:55:44
Sorry but I think you can blame McCall for tonight. He is very negative and keeps playing players who haven't performed all season

Agree2 Disagree3

28 May 2015 23:03:38
But the mess he created beat hibs to get us in the semi final to the final? Stop blaming mccoist, is we won tonight youd not be saying that

Agree3 Disagree3

29 May 2015 00:02:41
Let's be honest if Hibs had some decent strikers they would have beat us home and away. Against QOTS we were hanging on at home with 15 mins to go. We came up against a struggling team tonight and they wiped the floor with us

Agree1 Disagree1

29 May 2015 06:38:39
Mccalls record is played 16 won 7 drew 6 lost 3 is that really good enough for you? And what about the anti jig brigade what are you saying? The defence were leaderless and lost 3 goals for the second time in 5 weeks without him so now it's Foster that's getting it. These players should be and are good enough to beat well with the right tactics but I fear that's just a dream. We have had plenty time to get it right since Ally stood down, he played 27 matches and there have been 26 since he went you need to look else where for your scapegoat.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 May 2015 07:45:24
All the goals came down our left hand side and Zaliukas and mcgregor looked culpable at number 1 and 2. Foster gave tge ball away in the attacking half at number 3 and shoulders the blame for the result as usual. As I've said repeatedly on the site I don't think Foster should be given a new contract based on the entire season but guys please stop the villification of one player. All of the defence was terrible and after a bright start we got suckered too often on the break. We were unlucky at times but we now need a big performance to get through. We can still get there. The first goal is crucial and you never know. Maybe a few changes of personnel as McCall suggested might be the answer

Agree0 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:04:25
Best team won, no point in making excuses. McCall has done as well as he could with what he was left.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

28 May 2015 22:28:36
Agree entirely. This must be the worst squad we have ever had. Terrible defenders, hopeless midfield and abysmal strikers. I don't rate the keeper either.

Agree3 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:34:02
Well I hope the pro Foster brigade were watching that tonight. He was shown up for what he is a poor defender whose distribution is shocking. Don't get me wrong not all down to him and there were plenty of woeful displays. Ripped apart by a team who have been getting humped all season. We made them look like the Harlem Globe Trotters tonight

Agree2 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:48:16
Agree OP about the best side winning tonight and no excuses but let’s see how Well cope with the pressure on Sunday. I’ve tipped us to go up and am sticking with it.

Another year in the Championship doesn’t bear thinking about.

Agree2 Disagree4

28 May 2015 23:53:36
They appeared to cope with the pressure tonight. and we may find the pressure and expectancy of our fans being to much come Sunday.

Agree1 Disagree1

28 May 2015 23:53:39
We're so predictable its just balls into the box from the wide areas aimed at hopeless strikers, we cannot break teams down like motherwell tonight, there's no penetration from our midfielders. The most glaring problem for me all season against better teams like the 3 defeats against Hibs in the league and the games against better opposition like motherwell tonight, is that we cannot deal with teams on the counter attack who have pace. McCoist build a team that is overpaid slow and utterly useless.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 May 2015 08:43:53
They knew it mate, that's the way they set up, letting us get it wide to Foster all night long. They know the man is a total f***y.

Agree1 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:02:29
It's not over, would start with Walsh and Ferguson out wide on Sunday Boyd through middle. Vuckic in behind!
3-1 is a bad start but what's the point in being negative.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

28 May 2015 22:22:12
I totally agree with you keyser. I think we need another season in the championship so king can invest in his premiership quality squad and give them time to gel. That way we can go up to the top flight with a team
confident in its abilities. A good
mix of youth and experience, with the confidence to take on the current top flight teams. This lot would get hammered regularly. We need to rebuild. I can live with one more year for the long term good of our great team.

Agree2 Disagree4

28 May 2015 22:37:07
There is a difference between being negative and realistic. Team were a shambles and ripped apart by a poor team. Do you really think we can keep a clean sheet Sunday? Something we have managed 3 times since McCall took over. Only consolation were the performances of Murdoch and Walsh and the fact that 12 imposters are out of contract in the summer

Agree2 Disagree1

28 May 2015 23:02:13
Sorry johnsd1 but what premiership quality player would join us to play in the championship? Also how could we afford that calibre of player?

Another year in the championship would be disastrous. Season ticket prices will stay the same meaning King will need to invest some of his promised funds just to survive the season which will deprive us of the monies needed to challenge in the premiership for when we finally get there. Finding external investors will prove more difficult.

Let's hope for a stellar performance on Sunday. I genuinely believe our future relies on it.

Agree3 Disagree2

28 May 2015 22:02:26
On Radio Clyde tonight Mr Keevins predicting Rangers 3 or 4 nil as was most every caller, where do you get this from? Motherwell are a poor team by SPFL standards but are streets ahead of your team, and as an outsider looking in, only in the second half when you had 3 or 4 of the young boys on did you look like doing anything, just think if you had gone with good talented young boys 3 years ago you would probably be in Hearts situation just now, overpaid under achievers from players to managers have put you where you are and you have only yourselves to blame for going along with it, hard to stomach but every word the TRUTH.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

28 May 2015 22:08:50
Really? Lol, people have been saying for the last 3 years to blood the youth, but thanks for pointing it out.

Agree3 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:25:56
The tie is not over yet. Late goal has given us a realistic chance of victory. However our record to this point in the playoffs (2 wins, 2 defeats, and a draw) is not exactly inspiring confidence.

Agree1 Disagree5

28 May 2015 23:19:24
Keevins and the rest of those clowns are a disgrace to fair minded and honest football fans and they only thrive on bigotry and narrow mindedness.
There is no place in the 21st century for morons like him who are free to broadcast utter garbage and sensationalism based on very little intelligence and logic.
They would rather curry favour and please the few, than speak the truth and concur with the many.

Agree4 Disagree1

29 May 2015 07:39:16
It's easy to come on after the match and say that keevins and that were wrong. hearts only bloodied the youth because Gary Locke did it before there admin. Most fans wanted youth to be given the chance but you know as well as I do a lot of fans only want players with big reputations and big wages.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 May 2015 21:54:46
Let hope for something special on Sunday

On the bright £1/2 million to Newcastle unlikely to crystallise.

Fear we maybe too busy fighting on 12 June rather than building for the future!

Scottish football broken anyway thanks to SFA mismanagement good luck to new sponsors I won't be using them soon

Must assign Hibs to champsionship for ever - Pedrie should rot there!

Believable1 Unbelievable6

28 May 2015 22:18:13
Get out of your strop OP.
It's time to stop blaming the SFA and the rest of Scottish football for all the failings of the club.

Agree5 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:26:15
Bitter, bitter man.

Agree4 Disagree1

28 May 2015 22:57:57
It wasn't the sfa , Newcastle, hibs , Celtic or Ladbrokes that were totally inept against a Motherwell team on a quarter of your teams wages , it was Stuart McCall's tactics and your overpaid players who made last night happen .

Agree8 Disagree1

28 May 2015 21:52:33
Abysmal!!

Believable7 Unbelievable1

28 May 2015 21:50:11
Tonights performance isn't the reason why we won't be playing in the premiership next season. that's firmly down to mr mccoist and his utterly useless management team and the under performing so called big names he signed.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

28 May 2015 21:49:14
No point going up with that dross. Foster couldn't cross the road

Believable4 Unbelievable2

28 May 2015 22:39:52

You aren't allowed to say anything against Foster on this site some think he is the answer. For me he is useless and has always been useless however he is in good company in that squad

Folks calm down, we are well capable of turning this around! We are the better side and will prove it, 3 0 next week I have no doubt!

28 May 2015 22:04:12
That's what I like to see StefRied. We can still do it, even with these bams we've got!

28 May 2015 22:24:57
Thanks gkk, I have a feeling that we will be eating humble pie and toasting Boyd next week. Nothing to lose after tonight, get the ball in the box and let boyd do (what he used to do) best.

On another note I do think mcCalls time is up even when (if) we win

Agree1 Disagree4

28 May 2015 22:10:41
I love your enthusiasm, I also don't think this is over. There were good spells in that game tonight, especially the final 10 minutes or so. Granted there were many moments when we sacrificed possession easily and this must be looked at in great depth. school boy errors. We need to be clinical in finishing but when you look back we had good chances, we need to keep pushing. All defence tonight looked lost, that's why the result is so poor, Motherwells speed on the breaks made us look very poor and slow. 3 goals at Fir Park is not an impossible ask, very difficult but we all need to get behind the players and hope for 90 minutes like the last 10 tonight and who knows. fingers crossed lads. This club simply can't be in Championship again next season. We need promotion and new faces throughout. I would stand by and completely support McCall though.

Agree0 Disagree4

28 May 2015 23:21:00
I would stand by McCall to Dumfries but unfortunately not up to you and I. One way he might just get the job is to turn thi around.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 May 2015 21:39:38
Ive not been impressed by McCall in the run up to this game and feel he was thinking more of motherwell than trying to get us over the line. Tactics tonight as poor as the performance from wallace.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

28 May 2015 22:43:12
McCall not the answer too negative

looks more like a new manager now, what a mess we are in. how do we attract replacements for all those under achievers?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

28 May 2015 21:27:41
looks like we are playing with 10 men. All the balls into the box have been awful in particular from Wallace. 3-1 we have a chance, 3-0 we are goosed!

Lot of money being piled on Rangers by punters including myself, coupon price has changed from odds against to odds on.

Would probably settle for a one goal advantage to take to Motherwell, two goals would be fantastic.

Agree1 Disagree0

Big game for us tonight.
But also remember for some of our team this will be the last playing at Ibrox for Rangers.
I hope they rise to occasion and do it for everyone who loves our club.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

28 May 2015 10:47:51
Still think the 12 out of contract shouldn't get them renewed. Nearly all of them have been poor and have nothing to offer club going forward. Hopefully regardless of the outcome of the playoffs someone will start to build a team worthy of the club. Not sure it will be McCall though sure has they wanted him they would have already offered him the job

Agree2 Disagree2

28 May 2015 00:00:13
Dick Advocaat has left Sunderland, could he be heading back to us?

Believable1 Unbelievable8

28 May 2015 08:51:16
As much as I would love advocaat back I don't think we could afford his wages and he had already said he won't be back at rangers. The advocaat era was an amazing time for us and it will never be forgotten we signed some of the best in Europe and some of the worst. Let's just get a win tonight and see how the rest plays out, can't be worse than last 3 years that's for sure.
