Expect to get some hate for this but please hear me out. Don't know how much everyone pays attention to the premier league but Ian Holloway has stepped down as the Crystal Palace. Now I have a lot of respect for Ally and the job he did during administration and as a player but I'm sorry he's tactically inept. Ian Holloway would be a brilliant replacement. His wages won't be bad and he's used to working with small budgets like at Blackpool and the football they played when he was in charge was superb! He has previously expressed his love for the Scottish game and has a good eye for a good cheap player. I see him as someone who could take us to a new level with man management. This is just my opinion, what is everyone's thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Listen mate. Ian Holloway would do an awesome job for any team. Rangers would benefit hugely with a manager of his pedigree. Just unfortunate for him that he didn't have the necessary resources to compete in the premiership. But we all know Allys "jobs for the boys" clout, means he's going no where.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we should offer him £825,000k
do you think he would come for that
maybe some discounted shares to
i, ve a feeling he would jump at the chance

Yes just what we need, a guy who hasn't won a game, and walks away when the going got tough, get a grip man, Holly may well be a great guy, but manager of Rangers,? so you like the sound of him on the telly, and he seems like a nice guy? yeah? well so does ally sound like a nice guy, and so do hundreds of others, a silly post and no benefit to anyone, are you just going to put forward any name who appears on the horizon,? You say ally is "tactically inept " I agree, however so is Holloway, or does getting relegated and then destroyed in the English prem not count?

Tommy think you've no had your morning cereal. The guys obviously not made a snap judgment. Maybe he watched English championship football like a lot of football fans and in doing so, seen the style of football Holloway had Blackpool playing. His hands were tied with palace on that kinda budget. Who would you like to take the mantle when the time comes?

RB, if I had a choice it would be defo Billy Davies, or Derek McInnes who both know how to win, and play good football, I would also never rule out a good foriegn manager, but we got Ally for the foreseeable future, he, s tied in with whatever contracts Green dealt out, so no real point, we don't need Ian Holloway ffs, we need a good man manager who is tactically aware and used to a major club,

Rangers in my opinion have made a big mistake in not signing our ex striker kris boyd, in over 30 years of going to watch rangers I rate kris boyd the best, most natural gifted finisher I've witnessed in a rangers jersey, the hardest thing in football is scoring goals a chore that big boydy finds easy, I don't care what he does inside the box but when he's in it he's an instinctive, natural assassin, a goalscoring machine, simple as that, if he had stayed at rangers the length of time mccoist did he would have smashed super ally's rangers goalscoring record to smithereens, I would love boydy to come home and I hole mccoist signs him in january, a jon daly & kris boyd partnership would be mouthwatering, what do you think guys?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Having already scored 42 goals in the league in only 10 games then it's obvious we don't need Boyd. If will take at least 2 years to get back to the top league do you really think Boyd is the answer? We need to build a team to try and compete when we get back to the top not sign another former player whose best days are behind him

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason he won't be back is, the guy in charge wouldn't want him to break hs record. Ally is all me me me. His self importance stinks.

apart from the fact Boyd can't play football and rangers have scored about 20 goals a fortnight I agree, oh and the fact that he left for more money,

What about the fact he held rangers to ransom demanding £20k a week when offered £18k a week then when offered £20k a week he walked, what's he on now?

I'm up for banter as much as the next guy. In fact it's great. That said, some recent posts stating that not one Rangers player would make the Celtic bench is laughable and there are obviously plenty Celtic fans stirring things up on this page.

Off the top of my head who would make their team, never mind the bench, Wallace, Law and Mcleod. Moshni better than they've got. Maybe five would walk into their team but 11 vs 11 I reckon Rangers would beat them as it is. This Celtic team held in such high regard by their loyal fans ain't that good. But they did scrape through against Partick yesterday, I'll give them that.

Well it was our derby game, form goes out the window when you are playing your city rivals

Agree0 Disagree0

Kfraser, that's not banter really is it? And your point is stupidly crazy. And if you are being serious then I've got to disagree with you. None of the players you mentioned would make celtics bench never mind starting slots. Weve got to be real here guys like mcleod and moshni have never played top flight football (full time players in part time leauges). How many caps does law have? Celtics squad is full of international players playing the likes of barca, milan and ajax on a regular basis. As for us v them I hope not, wouldn't stand a chance. I've got a wee feeling your a celt on to stir it up though eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wishful thinking I'm afraid mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kfraser just noticed down the page a bit that your stating places on the bench at least for mcausland and gasporatto. How many times have you seen these guys actualy play? You talk about the "celtic team being held in regard by their fans" that's exactly what you do. These kids mentioned have had very little if any really game time for you to be championing them already, waken up pal

CIFRCA

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't talk mince. On what grounds do you say there better? Is it with all the European experience they have? The fact is rangers are miles behind Celtic you need your head examined if you think otherwise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wallace yes McLeod with some top flight experience no doubt the rest just wouldn't it's not hard to see this. There more than holding there own against Milan, Barca, Ajax am I jealous no we will get there one day I've saw us play in Europe lots of times it's great but we need to walk before we can run &
I'm enjoying this rebirth of Rangers but our whole team doesn't have near the same resale value that Forster, Forrest, Van Dijk, Ledley & Mathews has. Plus If that was us playing Partick after a European game midweek we would probably have lost was always the way with us. Why don't we just concentrate what's infront of us & if we pull Celtic in the Cup then we will see where were at.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good god man are you nuts? Wallace would be only player who might get a game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cammy Bell is better than that useless polish goalkeeper they have no the bench, no way we would beat them though, think your kidding yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

The sad truth is if NL/PL thought any of the players you mentioned were good enough for celtic we would just pinch them from you, how much would they cost anyway £500k tops? small change for us but you're robbing board would bite our hand off.

For the record I'd take Wallace - Izaguire is a shadow of the player he once was and needs some competition for his place. As for the rest, the boy mcleod looks ok but its too hard to judge in a part time league, could be worth a punt for the future tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deary me. When are all the bears going to get there noses out the dihms ars#s! They got to the last 16 the same way we got to the uefa cup final. By parking the bus and effective counter attacking. The same tactics they tried slamming us for. They won't get there again then they'll get put out the Europa league early doors. There's nothing classy or special about there team. When we come back up and reinvest in the squad we'll be on an even playing field. And if we were to play them now it be 50/50 easy street. Enough of this average Celtic team talk. Over and out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wallace is the only player that would have a chance of getting into the Celtic side. How can anyone possibly say McLeod would be good enough when the boy hasn't played at a high level yet. As for Law if they had wanted him he would have been there and not at Ibrox. We have to be realistic they are much better than we are and unless we get some major investment and a decent manager we won't be challenging the anytime soon

Agree0 Disagree0

N10 rb I don't think they will make the europa league bit hey ho yea never know
