Liverpool v Cardiff City - A Liverpool Perspective

28 Oct 2018 23:46:53
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Liverpool v Cardiff City - A Liverpool Perspective

28 Oct 2018 20:26:09
Not posted b4 but need to vent, reality check required by our supporters. We are a massive club that's been in decline for a long time, after the last few false dawns in the last few years our board have some would say gambled on a rookie manager!
When appointed in June would we have bitten anyone's hand off to be top of our group at half way stage in the Europa League and unbeaten on our Euro campaign, 2 points behind Celtic after a trip to the midden come November?
Today was a set back and yes we have some things to sort out but Steven Gerrard comments after the game only told me, long haul here, massive club, show quality or move on, I for one will back our manager til the end when I'm sure he will move on to where we all know he will end up! let's go!

28 Oct 2018 20:49:20
Agreed with majority of points made in your post. Today was an awful result and shows there’s still a lot of work to be done before we seriously challenge for silverware. I believe we are a couple of signings away from being a real good team. Need to keep the pressure on those above us domestically and then see where it takes us after the new year but I fully trust Stevie G to get it right.

28 Oct 2018 21:05:55
Good post. SG is building a team. We brought in 14 players and he and the rest of us all know we needed another striker as well as Lafferty. We have been unfortunate with Dorrans and Murphy getting injured both who pose and attacking threat.

Come January I am sure we will get in a striker and a creative midfielder.

SG is here to build us back to the top. It won’t happen over night so let’s all accept we are on the up and take defeat on the chin as a blip on the road to success.

28 Oct 2018 21:18:16
Anybody wanting SG sacked should have a word with yourselves. Honestly what are you expecting? We all knew there would be bumps along the way. i'm fully behind the manager we are way ahead what I was expecting. I didn't expect to get to group stage never mind be undefeated and top of our group in Europe.

28 Oct 2018 22:54:49
Sorry, but we lost to a team who were totally and utterly dreadful today. That’s the worst Aberdeen team I’ve seen for a long time yet we never once tested their keeper. There was no guile and the standard of crossing was amateurish at best. Why does Tavernier continually take corners when he is rubbish at them?

29 Oct 2018 00:03:11
100% mate. If you can’t do it, I will get someone who can start delivering or be replaced. Honest interview and bang on the money
He will get it done. January transfer window will be interesting. Let’s hope DK has a pile of cash for Steve G.

29 Oct 2018 09:22:52
Only 2 points behind Celtic because Celtic have been poor also.

28 Oct 2018 20:26:08
Out of all the disappointment today I have to say big Goldson was brilliant solid as a rock and even went on a few good runs, he should be captain in my opinion.

28 Oct 2018 22:56:51
Agreed he should be captain but he was up against nothing today. It’s frustrating to lose to such an awful excuse of a team.

28 Oct 2018 20:21:34
Think just a little too soon to call for SG head. Tweaks like get shot of Sadiq, buy decent forward and creative midfielder and get shot of midfield deadwood we might have makings of success. Problem is gers fans want instant success, which TBH, is preposterous.

28 Oct 2018 23:01:11
We lost against a truly awful side today it’s nothing to do with demanding instant success. It surely wasn’t too much to expect to beat such a poor team.

28 Oct 2018 20:12:05
Ejaria and coulibaly can't play in the same midfield, there inexperience shines through together. Arfield and Jack are must starts alone with either 1 of the 2 above.

28 Oct 2018 19:58:58
Honeymoon over. Bought into it again . Overrrated Ryan Kent. Candias master of the misplaced pass. Why doesn't Kent take a man on the outside. Treble again for them. Managers another false dawn and what does it take for Middleton to start. Flanigan getting worse, can't stand anymore.

28 Oct 2018 20:47:22
Ryan Kent has been brilliant so far this season, Flanagan is being played out of position and certainly wasn’t the worst today, morales let us down in the quarterfinals by getting booked left us without a striker for a semi final.

28 Oct 2018 20:59:31
Total overreaction bud sorry shocking I'd maybe go and support elsewhere we're on a journey can't get my head round our fans at times look where we are 2 point behind them one of only a handful of teams to go from 1st qualifiers in europa to not only group stage but joint leader in our group get a grip.

28 Oct 2018 21:01:38
Get a grip man. We have been on the crest of a wave recently playing nice football and granted today was poor but to come away with comments like that is far too premature.

28 Oct 2018 21:41:18
That comment on Kent not going on the outside is funny, but Middleton seems to struggle take players on inside. hopefully they'll both learn to vary their play. Both have good potential. Kent was targeted by Aberdeen today because he was our only hope of creating something.

28 Oct 2018 22:23:03
Macrae, Managers a new false dawn? You cannot be serious. We are all hurting, but that doesn't mean we can all start talking rubbish! And the reason Kent doesn't go on the outside is because he plays on the left and is right footed. surely you can see that?

28 Oct 2018 22:47:40
Easy easy calm down fella. Obviously very disappointed and we were pretty poor in the end, goes to show how much you miss 1 player, I am not saying Morelos is a world beater or that he would have scored but there is a good chance he may have scored or made a goal. He has to learn that needless bookings can hurt you further down the line.

I am starting to get frustrated with Gerrard subs though, he keeps bringing Middleton or Grezda on with 10 or 15 mins left, which for me by that point is just a desperate sub. Why doesn't he attempt to change games before they have got away from you. I feel sorry for the guys that come on simply because it's as if Gerrard is saying, right I need a goal so I need you to make it happen, then the player doesn't get that goal and will be demotivated by it.

The distribution from the back is poor and has been for the last few games, Goldson and worral keep sending it long and it's frustrating.
However while I am frustrated I still feel that the league should be our bread and butter, yes extra money from europa league is good, but you need to walk before you can run.

Not winning the league cup will not define our season, our league position and results against Celtic will.
Just my opinion obviously I never like when we lose but let this one go and move on, big games coming thick and fast.

28 Oct 2018 23:44:49
If he was on loan from Liverpool he’d play.

28 Oct 2018 23:45:14
See you later then Macrae! there's a difference between a supporter and a glory hunter.

28 Oct 2018 20:31:21
Some of you should support someone else if this pathetic over reaction follows every setback. This time last year we were getting humped off a team from Luxemburg and Motherwell in the cup. We were already miles behind in the league and had one of the worst Rangers team in living memory.

Gerrard has brought in 13 players and we sit just 2 points behind the tims in the league. People have short memories when you look at some of the great performances we have seen already this season. There will always be bumps along the way when rebuilding.

If in 2 seasons time, we have not progressed from here then by all means question the manager, but to do so after only his 3rd competitive loss is laughable.

28 Oct 2018 21:34:59
Not overall questioning our manager but a blind man could see at hampden today, that he should have made substitutions, long before going 1 goal behind! He should have had sadiq off at half time! Even when he did make the 2 subs, IMO it was the wrong 2,that stevie G took off! Waits too long to make subs and that's not just in today's game! Yet again another inept performance, in a big game at hampden! This is becoming far too frequent!

28 Oct 2018 22:29:38
Absolutely right Del. it's torture getting beat, but we are miles better off now than we were last year. I was once told if you have to make a change then make one change not 5 .

That's what our manager tried to do. A striker for a striker. Not move a few players about just to solve one problem. Unfortunately it didn't pay off. I'm not a lover of critisicing a Rangers player. so I will just say that I would be surprised is Sadiq is anywhere near the first team in the coming weeks.

28 Oct 2018 23:12:33
Del2807,

We lost to a team today who were utterly dreadful. It’s the worst Aberdeen team I’ve seen for a long time and we never tested their keeper. I think it’s more a case fans are frustrated that we couldn’t beat a very bad side.

28 Oct 2018 19:48:54
I am a total fan of Stevie G but he made major and costly mistakes today!
No-one but no-one expected Sadiq to play today and after that abject totally clueless performance, culminating in a booking for diving when, if he had stayed on his feet he might have scored. He did nothing but impersonate a lump of wood!
Stevie G compounded his mistake by leaving him on the pitch! Send him back to Roma tomorrow!
Middleton or Kelly or Gredza could not have been worse.
Secondly that is 2games in quick succession where our deadball expert, Tav, failed with every free kick and corner. Yet he continued to take them! No managerial activity from Stevie G!
Finally, Stevie G has appeared slow to make changes. When he did, it was by the book. Was I the only one who saw his assistant out showing him the change in a notebook?
When the book is failing its time to rip up the book!
Final comment, the current midfield is too pedestrian and lacks a runner who can play the killer pass to open up a defence. Dorrans is out long term at best, so get Steven Davis signed in January!

28 Oct 2018 20:15:14
Spot on mate. Davis is a must for January.

28 Oct 2018 20:23:04
Never been a fan of tav, never a captain for me.

28 Oct 2018 23:14:17
Mcc the knife,

Spot on about Tavernier awful defender who is never a Rangers captain and who continually takes corners when it’s clear he can’t take them.

28 Oct 2018 19:22:03
Just arrived home from game absolutely fuming until I watched the managers interview. Clearly knows what went wrong and as he says better players needed in depth and certain players we have are not good enough. He knows sadiq should not have played but it's too late. All we can do is move forward but at least he knows where it went wrong.

28 Oct 2018 19:40:28
The comment on self reflection hopefully includes himself. Top managers make big decisions. Big decisions on the players in the squad, and big decisions when things aren't working during the game. I really hope he starts making these decisions soon.

28 Oct 2018 19:48:09
Exactly cf, clearly we're all angry and hacked off BUT, we're still in the fight for the league and doing well in Europe. This team will improve, it's still early days so remember the depths we came from and have faith in Stevie G.

28 Oct 2018 19:59:20
Ok but at what point do we start saying look at where we were and start thinking of where we need to be?

28 Oct 2018 20:44:18
Ted rangers I'm sure self reflection will include himself. What possessed him to play sadiq in the first place will haunt him and opting again to play virtually a static midfield Exact same mistakes as Thursday with sadiq on top of it.

28 Oct 2018 21:47:05
If you watch stevie g's post match interview that'll answer your question. Anyone thinking he doesn't realise where we need to improve doesn't realise what a winner that boy is! He knows exactly where we need to be and gets my full support that he's the man to get us there.

28 Oct 2018 19:20:44
That's 2 games now were we dominate teams and don't look like scoring I said to my dad at 55mins I bet they go up the park and score. It's the managers fault he's reacting to situations instead of making changes earlier and taking the wrong players off. the honeymoon is over stevie get it sorted.

28 Oct 2018 19:56:09
Bang on mjg and if u listen to his interview he clearly knows where the issues lie. Hopefully lesson learned and we move on. Role on January as a few players clearly need shipped out.

28 Oct 2018 23:46:10
Listen it was a defeat so what . everyone knows we were mugged . if we had played rotten I would be concerned. it’s football happens to the best.

28 Oct 2018 19:09:18
Why pay £2 million for Grezda yet we don't even play him today, and not even as a sub? Ok he missed a good chance midweek but he has pace and Hampden would have gave him plenty of room to get in behind . A strange signing.

28 Oct 2018 19:26:05
If grezda has less quality than candeias, it's a terrible waste of money.

28 Oct 2018 22:55:49
To be fair so far it looks like a waste of 2 mil he hasn't really showed anything to suggest to me that he is any better than Kent Middleton or Candeias but then he has hardly played, then you have to ask why he hasn't played and clearly it's because the other lads are showing more in training.

Sadiq is useless poor lad literally looked like a deer caught in headlights. I am certainly not going to rip strips off Gerrard but he is making silly decisions and not making subs when they are clearly needed, instead he waits until 80 mins then hopes a sub will win the game rather than use subs to change the game before it becomes desperate.

28 Oct 2018 18:59:31
problem up front has NOT been resolved, We dismiss players who CAN do it, we lose the Columbian hot head too often
and now we have
found another torre andre flow, (Sadiq! ) C'mon Stevie, take a good look at our younsters or get players in at January that score regularly, CUMMINGS, MOULT for example at least in scotland they knew the way to goal

AND they speak English!

28 Oct 2018 19:14:11
Ritchie- context mate. Problem ain’t up front. Morelos- banging them in for fun, Lafferty- scores in Europe and when he’s played I think he’s banged a couple of league goals as well. Blaming a 20year old striker who’s never played a full 90mins with that team, in front of 50k fans in a semi final with a team behind him who couldn’t produce a cross with 2 sticks in their hands is what’s the issue.

28 Oct 2018 19:16:19
Jeezo the handwringers are oot early the night geeze a break!

28 Oct 2018 19:22:20
Haha, Cummings and moult? That's as ridiculous as your spelling. You obviously don't know much about football either, Flo scored 29 goals in 53 games for us.

28 Oct 2018 19:23:40
Lets be honest, we have been poor against Livingston, Hamilton, Sp Moscow and now Aberdeen. Certainly no signs of improvements at the moment. Come on Stevie, time to step up.

28 Oct 2018 20:36:27
What 3 defeats in 22 and unbeaten in Europe.
No improvement GET REAL.
The only thing I would say is get another striker signed plus an attacking midfielder.

28 Oct 2018 21:34:32
The league position doesn't lie and knocked out a cup again.

28 Oct 2018 23:43:16
Does my head in when people try and slag off Flo. He was a great player.

28 Oct 2018 18:53:09
Anyone think Gerrards bottle has gone with the unwashed in the final . i definitely think he would’ve went for it more had hearts got through.

28 Oct 2018 19:03:51
He always takes too long to make changes. Aberdeen away, and spartak at home are perfect examples. Today showed that he has not learned from his previous mistakes, which is worrying.

28 Oct 2018 19:15:12
Aye that's exactly what it is jibjo. At first I thought we just didn't create enough clear cut chances and lacked craft against a packed defence, but on reflection it was maybe because hearts didn't get through earlier! 🙈.

28 Oct 2018 19:37:08
Jbjo one thing gerrard will never lose his bottle not a chance too professional
What a stupid post!

28 Oct 2018 19:38:59
Give it a rest brand new team starting to gel to say tthe honeymoon is over is mental give SG another two windows and you’ll see it happen big time we all know we want it now it’s just a bit raw today but this time next season we will be unstoppable take breath boys.

28 Oct 2018 21:49:34
Ted Rangers - my typing is down to a faulty keyboard, what's your EXPERT knowledge down to? playing football manager perhaps?

its all about opinions on here, not just yours tonight we had NO Morelos, NO Lafferty and we play a stick insect who is utter garbage - how many low scoring or zero scoring games have we had this season when we were definitely the better team, Morelos scores the occasional one, an odd fancy back heeler yet some people out there think he's a God? now that IS a laugh.

28 Oct 2018 18:45:43
You couldn't make it up. Dire that we couldn't even make their goalie make a save never mind score an equalizer. We made Aberdeen look good. Sadiq hopeless, we need a half decent Forward ASAP, clearly can't rely on Morelos on his own. Really disappointed in that performance, you let that fantastic support down today. Simply not good enough Mr Gerard.

28 Oct 2018 19:08:27
Sadiq was terrible. The quality of supply was just as bad though. Candeias is a worker and he has some tricks, but he has no end product. Tavernier seems to have forgotten how to cross a ball. Flanagan is a defender and can't attack at all. Ejaria makes bad decisions in the final third. None of them can shoot. We have to remember the main priority was to solidify. It's going to take time, patience, and investment to add real attacking quality to that team.

28 Oct 2018 19:35:56
Kent has been our best player recently but he's too greedy at times, on 2 or 3 occasions today he went for glory when a pass was the better option.

28 Oct 2018 21:29:06
Agreed Ted, good points.

28 Oct 2018 18:43:16
82 mins then a change. Sorry should have happened sooner.

This Squad is not big enough to challenge in all fronts, midfielders coming out our backside and no fecking strikers. Wide men with no front men. Squid whatever's he called is a dope. Possession with no end product.

3.5 million made so far in group stages, let's hope we add a striker at xmas. Progress being made, however needs a result at Ibrox against Celtic. Blew a good chance there.

28 Oct 2018 19:12:39
I reckon we need to create chances too. Unfortunately we need a player like Ferguson. who we let go, or gilmour, who we forced out. or Lewis MacLeod, who we sold at a darker time. We've come a long way though. Bringing in real attacking quality costs a lot of money, and to be honest I don't think any of us know whether we have that money.

28 Oct 2018 18:42:14
I've been dithering coming back on here for a few months if I'm honest but watching that crap has seriously annoyed me. How on earth is Ejaria/ Coulibaly/ Candieas getting picked when they are literal workhorses. Ejaria is not a starter in this team, creates nothing, look rangey and like he's got all time in the world. but he offers literally NOTHING. Kent can't put a ball in the box and candieas for all his enterprise couldn't finish in a brothel. His decision making (bar that one through ball to Kent) was horrific. Tavs was majorly off it tonight as well. His deadball crosses seem to become dreadful in big games like this. I'm actually fuming as you can probably tell. Can't believe I say through 90mins of that to see us get 1 shot on target!

28 Oct 2018 18:48:17
Spot on mate Coulibaly has been a big disappointment time he dropped out, a creative midfielder and striker are a most in January.

28 Oct 2018 18:59:43
I can only assume there is some kind of agreement with the loans here. He took off jack who was at the time our best midfield player, winning the ball and playing it out. Arfield should have been on 20mins before that and I’d honestly drop Candieas for anyone. He’s pitiful.

28 Oct 2018 19:11:44
We badly need someone else up front. At the minute we've got 2 forwards . That sadiq is brutal. Candeias will run but the supports not there could see that with the half chance we created when if the giraffe would have come the other side like a normal striker he was in . Lafferty and morelos are decent bit we need fire power.

28 Oct 2018 19:26:03
Might as well recall Hardie as he isn’t getting a look in at Livi since his return from injury.

28 Oct 2018 18:40:30
Hope Fredo in the stand feels the pain badly badly missed and I was one of his critics God help us if he gets injured!

28 Oct 2018 18:36:53
Sadiq is a clown plain and simple. I am embarassed watching him wear the jersey. We played a man short today.

28 Oct 2018 18:43:49
Yep an awful footballer.

28 Oct 2018 18:47:06
Sorry but I’m not blaming him for that. Candeias was rank rotten, tavs delivery- rank rotten, Ejaria- passenger but today- what really got me, was that we had to sit for 82minutes of that before Stevie made a change. That was seriously poor. 1 shot on target from player who lacked intent today. Ejaria/ coulibaly and Candeias need dropped.

28 Oct 2018 18:56:12
I actually don’t blame him. I’m firmly putting the blame on the players who are supposed to be giving him the chance to score. Every time he got the ball he at least tried to be direct. Kent- always cutting in, did nothing, don’t think he actually crosses does he? Candieas. I’ll be honest every time I watch him he’s useless. Finally product and decision making is literally the worst in the team, usually has tavs there to bail him out of that, but tavs crossing was shocking. I don’t think Ejaria or coulibaly did anything.

28 Oct 2018 19:35:25
I thought candeias was by far our best player on the park.

28 Oct 2018 20:38:03
Candeias was decent apart from his crossing. Ejaria was probably our best player in the 2nd half but he needs more of a cutting edge. Sadiq looked ok when he had the ball but he should be hung out to dry for that shocking dive.

29 Oct 2018 00:15:39
Ejaria frustrates the life out of me, I look at him sometimes and think he's treating it like a training session. Turn his man, turn him again, turn back. He slows it down way too much for myour liking and let's teams set up again. So frustrating because he's got an unbelievable amount of ability.

28 Oct 2018 18:35:11
Sheep goal bloody nightmare for gers. Gers so much possession for such little return. Creativity in last third nil. Sheep goal defence nowhere. I know only league Cup but it was a chance to show SG team strategy working.

28 Oct 2018 20:22:11
Like Warburton all over again. Too much tippy tappy around the box, everyone wanting to be the hero rather than set up someone in a better position. Like you say, Mickey mouse cup, but domestic teams seem to have us sussed.

28 Oct 2018 18:33:34
Dreadful.

That's Celtic won the first of the 3 cups then.

Shocking performance. Sadiq should never have started the game never mind end it. Why has Gerard let that absolute donkey play 90 minutes? Should have been hooked when he decided to dive rather than score an open goal. If he ever plays for Rangers again then I will be shocked.

Another really sore defeat. 5th place in the league and out the League Cup. Big improvement needed otherwise Celtic will win another treble.

28 Oct 2018 18:32:28
Stick up for Tav now?, he was pathetic today AGAIN cost us big time AGAIN.

28 Oct 2018 18:37:14
Defending for the goal was atrocious, tavs set pieces was bad but to say that he cost us the game is not right. stevie cost us the game, sadiq should never have started, played very little football but plays a semi final, shows how good he was when he went round the keeper them dived with an open goal, brainless halfwit!

28 Oct 2018 18:38:21
Unfortunately the manager cost us. to keep Sadiq on for the entire match was a joke he was a passenger for most of it! Long time since I’ve been as disappointed as I am now, he doesn’t know how to change things, he waits for to long to make subs.

28 Oct 2018 18:44:38
I wasn't at the game today so gave me and the lads a close up view on our players. Now i read posts last week regarding Tav, basically stating he struggles with his crossing. We watched him closely and have to say his crossing is woeful as is his corner kicks and free kicks, wasted every time. So if its obvious then why is nothing get done about it. While i'm being critical, i ask why does Gerrard leave it late before he makes a change. By the way, the Aberdeen keeper never had 1 save to make. I know we don't want to criticise Steven Gerrard but for me he has to shoulder the blame.

28 Oct 2018 18:50:32
The truth is he doesn’t know how to change it. Needed an experienced assistant because Mcallister doesn’t have enough.

28 Oct 2018 19:20:04
Gerrard said team and tactics were his fault, but players need to step up. He mentioned at start of season of high tempo style of play he wanted, well today was far too slow to catch a cold, painful to watch. We really missed morelos up front, think that will be sadiq's swansong. hard to pick anyone with pass marks today, hope they all get a good going over in training this week!

28 Oct 2018 18:27:40
This is Gerrards fault totally persisting with that Sadiq.

28 Oct 2018 18:34:29
Gerard has to go, no tactical awareness, calling out for Middleton and nothing. Sadiq up front for 90 mins when he’s not kicked a ball all season. Millions spent and sitting mid table. Time for the Stevie G expirament to end.

28 Oct 2018 18:37:35
100% agree.

28 Oct 2018 18:37:44
Tim troll Gérard has to go 😂😂😂 aye right.

28 Oct 2018 18:43:00
Might be a troll but the manager has to learn quickly to change things a lot quicker.

28 Oct 2018 18:47:05
What a Muppet 😂😂😂😂.

28 Oct 2018 18:48:23
I ain’t one of the f*****g manky mob. How much time do we give him to get it right, a few mediocre results against less than mediocre European teams and he’s our saviour! I’d we had played either of the red bull clubs we’d have been destroyed, we are miles behind and still all this clamour over Stevie G, worst start to the league ever. Out of the cup to the sheep, I could accept being beaten by the manky mob but the sheep shaggers, we are a joke, and the sooner we realise that Rangers are bigger than a manager cutting his teeth the better, no matter how big his name is, we deserve better! He can’t control morales, how many bookings has he picked up this season due to petulance? The manager is supposed to nip that rubbish in the bud but he still does it, Booked the last game he played for petulance again, how many times does he cost us yet we all sing his name . #shambles.

28 Oct 2018 18:53:42
Tim alert Gerrard has to go get a grip ye he was at fault today but sack him no shocking.

28 Oct 2018 20:24:53
Mid-table yes, but only 3 points away from 2nd.

28 Oct 2018 18:23:04
Totally terrible not clearing our lines again and again, then we giving them a Set piece (their only chance to score) .
Tavenier/ Candias had 20 chances to put a decent ball into the box (not a single one reached a Rangers Player) : I am completely and utterly sick cause I know it was coming!

28 Oct 2018 18:18:41
stevie---you really do have to LEARN how to make changes. BIG TIME.

28 Oct 2018 18:18:29
Get that useless **** out of the club. He's been pulled up for diving in the reserves so why would not learn his lesson. Just tap it take it on and tap it in.

28 Oct 2018 18:15:32
Tav has to come off dead ball crossing so poor just now.

28 Oct 2018 18:07:13
Sadiq shining quite bright here but god he has to learn offside rule.

28 Oct 2018 18:29:52
Gerrard hadn’t a clue how to change that, to leave Sadiq on for 90 mins is a disgrace.

28 Oct 2018 18:30:14
Cant believe the sheep got through.

28 Oct 2018 18:31:52
Gerard has to go, worst start to league ever, out of the cup to the sheep shaggers. he has no tactical awareness, Derek McInnes once more shows how it’s done. joke!

28 Oct 2018 18:35:55
Calm down.

28 Oct 2018 18:38:24
away you go puddle drinker back on your own site.

28 Oct 2018 17:17:37
Very similar to Thursday so far. Good possession without really breaking through and the final ball has been awful again. Candeias has been the best player but his crossing has been poor. I also wish McGregor would stop lashing out, not much in it but it's bringing pressure upon himself.

28 Oct 2018 16:39:26
Well sadiq got the no. 9.Wouldnt have been my pick but now he has a chance to shine.

28 Oct 2018 18:05:30
Fs Gerrard make a change.

28 Oct 2018 16:34:57
Arrgh. Referee setting up Celtic for the win already. 2 minutes two yellow's. more to come sure.

28 Oct 2018 15:51:10
Good shout Billy boy sadiq starts big call flinging him in but we'll see 🇬🇧.

28 Oct 2018 15:46:37
So that's it then Sadiq starts!

I'd have rather had Middleton or Gradza in instead with a rotating front three as I think pace would destroy that deface today!

28 Oct 2018 15:44:52
I don’t think he’s a cheat, however I do think he is an extremely incompetent referee!

The guy see things no one else does and misses what we all see!
I didn’t watch the game but I did see the first minute where McLean was booked for going for header.
I don’t know what’s worse, him getting booked for absolutely nothing, or the Celtic player rolling about holding his face!

28 Oct 2018 15:41:40
Rangers: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Worrall, Flanagan, Ejaria, Jack, Coulibaly, Kent, Candeias, Sadiq.

28 Oct 2018 15:40:53
1 change for today, Sadiq in for Fredo.

28 Oct 2018 15:03:31
looks like the mhanks are in the final.

28 Oct 2018 14:56:57
Looks like Celtic then should we beat the sheep. a dodgy penalty and a howler from their keeper looks to have sunk the tarts.

28 Oct 2018 15:09:57
How dare you that poor wee downtrodden club have not had a decision go their way in over a hundred years. 😢.

28 Oct 2018 11:08:39
Blooming clocks going back, making us wait another hour for the match today! 2 changes today for me would be Arfield for Coulibally and Grezda for Morelos. Front 3 interchanging, making themselves hard to pick up. These comments seem trivial though, compared to tragic events at Leicester and Glenn Hoddle taking ill. Thoughts and prayers to all concerned.

28 Oct 2018 13:16:25
Absolutely pdot. What a terrible action of events. I'm hoping all involved in football today will come together and respect what has happened. Shocking. No doubt (at both games before anyone starts) there will be ar seholes who make noise during the minutes silence. Those sort of people need shooting. Hoping for two good games today. I'm also hoping for a hearts rangers final aswell though 😂.

28 Oct 2018 20:14:31
Dunoonbluebear, I don't think there will be a minute's silence since deaths have not yet been confirmed? Dreadful and tragic event.

28 Oct 2018 10:02:47
Could ejaria play as a striker? With midfield 3 of jack coulibally and airfield?

28 Oct 2018 11:01:24
Not for me, some people are over thinking things it's one game we have to make do without Fredo and lafferty! grezda Kent and candy front 3, interchangeable across the front line! Sadiq Middleton dallas optional from bench.

28 Oct 2018 12:39:56
If bringing in Sadiq or Dallas I feel Mccrorie will drop out. I think that’s unfair on the lad.

28 Oct 2018 12:58:51
Ejaria is never a striker. Doesn't have the physical or pace side of things to be one. A creater yes, a striker no.

28 Oct 2018 09:27:19
Just watched SGs latest video. He states when he came up to Ibrox with his Liverpool youth team last year it was a privilege, "AS A RANGERS FAN". He then goes onto to praise the club and again states he has been a fan for many years. Just love the man, he fits Rangers and Rangers fit him.

On another note, now that we have a Liverpool legend as one of our own, would be great to set up some Rangers v Liverpool charity/ testimonial/ legends games over the coming years to bond these to great clubs with similar history and tragedy, would be good for both - IMO. even better, Rangers draw Liverpool in the Champions league next year, that would be box office to eclipse the Leeds classic.

28 Oct 2018 12:31:21
One thing at a time mate. let's concentrate on doing well in the league and getting a cup in the cabinet before talking about champions league draws.

28 Oct 2018 07:33:17
The tragedy of the leicester city owner's helicopter crash, just yards from the king power stadium last night, puts football in the shade and into complete perspective! The rangers family, most definitely sends its thoughts and prayers, to all the families and leicester city football club, for the now feared dead, of the leicester city owner and chairman and all who were on board the helicopter!
God bless you all! Again such a terrible tragedy within football! This is when all football supporters come together, in heartfelt grief!

28 Oct 2018 08:35:28
Good post mate. All decent people will agree 100% your comments are spot on.

28 Oct 2018 11:31:50

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 28th October 2018

28 Oct 2018 07:34:53
Thoughts with all connected to Leicester City Football Club. Also to the family of Glenn Hoddle and hope he pulls through.

28 Oct 2018 13:18:34
Well said scotty123 big glen was was some player in his day that’s for sure and by all accounts the Leicester chairman was a very generous chairman to his players the fans and the area in general which is unusual in the game today.
