I think Ian black sums up ally in the transfer market, pure dross, I really hope Charles green doesn't give ally anymore Money to waste, his signings have been awful.

With all the disagrees, does people on here actually think ally has signed good players?

Templeton is a good signing, shiels is a good signing, and if ally had his way or a decent budget Kyle n sandaza would never have been brought in, but this is the market we are shopping in for now. I think the time to judge ally is when we march to div one (which we should) n see what he brings in n how team performs in that div

@5 sandaza was allys number 1 target when we were still in the spl.

@1: he had more to spend under Green that all of the teams in the bottom 3 divisions put together. In fact, you could add most of the SPL to that too, so he had more to spend than most of the teams in the country put together.

u should have been made to up hold transfer restrictions and go with wot you had no other third division team can spend this kind of money and rangers old or new shouldnt be allowed either

Thommy j. Yours is one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever read on here, and that is saying something.

If the ban was for two window's then we would have been eligible to sign players the whole of summer 2013, if it was a one calendar year ban (out of interest which one is it Ed) then we would still have had a fortnight to buy players at the end of summer 2013 to prepare for a tougher league programme. Either way, the current embargo can be construed as a harsher punishment than an immediate one would have been as Ally then had only a fortnight to plan and recruit players for two seasons instead of just one.

Exactly what point are you trying to make because it really just sounds like the usual anti-Rangers drivel we see all too often on here. Are you saying Celtic should be handicapped financially to keep them at the same level as the other teams in their division? That is how ridiculous your post is. Jeez.

Watching the Queens Park v Rangers game . All I can say is WoW just WoW ! What a magnificent game of football - silky interpassing, goalmouth incidents , fantastic shooting - every footballing skill on display . Plus those masters Ally McCoist and Gardner Speirs directing tactics like moves on a Chessboard . A wonderful advert for the Third Division . Next on is "The Magic of Messi" - I know its going to be an anti-climax .

Your sarcasm could also apply to the fans of EPL teams who believe the SPL is a joke also.

I wish I had watched. I just sat through 90mins of mince on my laptop . I will never set foot inside Celic park again . It amazes me we are where we are.

I wish the 3rd div was as competative as the SPL you just cant tell who is going to win it.

Well well, a brand new club (as the Selik call us) sitting on top of the league and banked 22 million from shares issue. Who would of thought that after players left in their droves and the other half predicted out of business by Christmas that we would be in such a position. Lets look forward to 2013 with hope. Finally, for a brand new club there is a lot of Celtic fans still driven to despair by their obsession for us. Strange. Happy new year to all including Celtic fans and best of luck to them for the juventus game. All the best.

@12. Every team in the Scottish leagues from SPL to Division 3 pays their players ya turnip. Well except for Hearts anyway, think before you post!

@13: Collum was dreadful today, for both teams.

@14: if players are paid, they can't be amateurs, can they?! That was the point of my post. And Queen's Park don't pay the players a wage, so they are amateurs. Who's the turnip who's incapable of thought now? {The Ed039's Note - They do not pay their players, some maybe get expenses or something. It is explained in their club moto - "Ludere Causa Ludendi" � to play for the sake of playing)

@16. Well said ed, the players get paid a small bonus for a win or a draw, travelling expenses and in some cases appearance fees. They are not under a full time professional contract, this applies to both Arbroath and Queens Park and both are part time clubs. So @ 12 and 16 thats why you are incapable of intelligent thought. {The Ed039's Note - Arbroath are part time, not amateur, they do pay their players, but again its probably a pittance and enough to cover their expenses or buy their boots etc)

@21: what have Celtic got to do with it? I was referring back to post 14. Anyway, despite being 6 and 15 points ahead of their leagues, neither Celtic and Rangers are very good.

The hundreds of creditors who supplied rangers over the years must be amateurs as well because they dont get paid either.jamie

@23 Presuming its a Scottish team you support then if Celtic and Rangers aren't very good what does that make your team? Tell us who it is so we can laud them, lol.

Jamie. 'over the years'? Trying to stretch it a bit there and make it out as being more than it is are you not? They will get paid, just nowhere near as much as they were due unfortunately. It happens in business within a capitalist culture. Get over it, the creditors will. Before anyone starts harping on about how wrong it is etc I have previously been a creditor (to the tune of roughly £1200) due money (more accurately goods) from a liquidated company. I am not belittling it, I was peeved off same as they will be, but life moves on. Time a lot of people on here did the same.
