Am I alone in thinking we should have tried harder to keep Danny Wilson? The fact holt has captained our side in recent matches says a lot for me, we lack leaders and guys who know the club! Danny Wilson was a future gers captain imo! With alves looking like gone in the summer cardoso unfancied and Martin a loanee, at 26 I'd have thought we should have been getting Wilson a decent contract drawn up! Maybe we did and the guy just wanted a move but seems like a strange one to me!

29 Jan 2018 22:25:20
seriously though, we MUST get Herrera, Krankjar Dalcio and Hodson off the payroll PRONTO, no excuses, they are all MINCE and costing us money we can't afford.

30 Jan 2018 00:07:39
I strongly agree about all 4 names above I'd even throw Alves or Cardoso on that scrap pile

30 Jan 2018 02:14:44
Calm doon with caps, eh

30 Jan 2018 03:10:12
Comparatively speaking Hodson and Dalcio will not be be on a big wage, and although we all want to see youngsters coming through, they must be providing more competition than the likes of Atakayi etc., otherwise our former u20s coach would have them on the bench instead. After all he knows them and watches them train everyday. Purely from the the games in Florida, Dalcio offered more than Atakayi. Prior to that I would have sent him back too.
Given our business so far this window I personally trust Murty and Allen to make the right decisions. We spend too too much time arguing over what values we should attach to our players, when we should just get behind them regardless of what the press or the unwashed have to say about them!
If we do get offers that our board deem acceptable then we should wish them well in their future endeavours. In the meantime I hope they do well enough to earn a move that suits all parties.

Keep Believing!

29 Jan 2018 22:18:25
good riddance to Wilson, we don't need him, however can't blame him to want to make his fortune with someone who can afford it.

29 Jan 2018 22:37:01
It's a shame because he looked to be coming onto his game. Seems a strange move but I wish him good luck. From what I've seen of him he's always seemed like a good guy, can't blame him for wanting to try something different. Hope we at least got some cash for him

30 Jan 2018 06:53:27
Well I personally hope his career crashes and burns, he's another player we have nurtured and nursed through injury and gave a second chance to then at only 26 he walks away for pennies to WHO exactly?

30 Jan 2018 09:23:14
Jyf, that is the most appalling post I have seen on here for a while. Believe you should be ashamed of yourself although accept you are entitled to an opinion.

30 Jan 2018 20:51:52
how much did we gt for him

29 Jan 2018 19:19:31
Jordan Jones no thank you sir! MOH nose bleed in the box school of fitba.

29 Jan 2018 16:09:02
Old firm game moved to 11th march 🔴⚪🔵🔴⚪🔵

29 Jan 2018 16:49:59

29 Jan 2018 16:55:52
Brilliant. Fly back from my stag in Athens on the Saturday so looks like I'll not have to give away my tickets and my brotuer will be off the hook for booking old firm weekend haha

29 Jan 2018 17:21:34
Athens for a stag Stuart? Never heard of there being used for a stag before. I'm sure it will be class, love Greece, hoping to try Athens soon. Have a belter and let us know how it is haha.

30 Jan 2018 06:51:39
Bear mode i'm getting married in crete in May so to keep up with the theme. Haha. Nah just fancied something different, call me boring but benidorm etc doesn't appeal to me and I've seen most European cities that I want to see so Athens it is.

29 Jan 2018 15:10:05
The penalty claims.

The 1st one I didn't think was a penalty he jumped with his arms in a natural position and the ball was played off his hand with no movement towards the ball. Andy walker definete penalty.

The 2nd penalty ball blasted towards martins face as he's falling to the ground he instinctivly puts his hand to protect his face. Penalty given. Andy walker not a penalty i think the referee was making up for the 1st one.

29 Jan 2018 18:10:24
I agree RfcChris the 2nd penalty was given to make up for the failings of the first penalty

29 Jan 2018 18:58:34
I'm I the only person that thought the first wasn't a penalty and the second one was? I know he puts his hand up to protect himself but it's still an unnatural position and the shot is goalboand.

29 Jan 2018 19:31:59
zikos you sure you aren't Michael Stewart from Sportcene in disguise lol

29 Jan 2018 20:18:53
1st 1 hit Bates on midrift, 2nd claim Bates is actually bringing his arms back in from unnatural position not a stone walker but I’d expect it to be given more often than not.
The award that was given was never a penalty due to the speed of the ball and the close proximity of our player to the ball, it’s just smashed off him.
In conclusion they should have been awarded 1 penalty and they were awarded 1 penalty but apparently we were lucky. If it was awarded at 1-0 and became 1-1 we could easily have gone on to win still.

29 Jan 2018 12:52:40
Does anyone know the structure of dochertys deal? Hearing some amount of nonsense from the other side and would love to put them straight

29 Jan 2018 13:33:43
Nope and neither do they. Bottom line is hamilton were happy with the deal they got. Hamilton chairman praised the way Rangers conducted themselves throughout the negotiations. They had no need to accept a bad deal when other teams were interested in Docherty. Pay no attention to the C*ltic pages mate. They're starting to realise that their "world class" players aren't as far ahead of us as they thought.

29 Jan 2018 13:50:27
Who cares he’s signed 😜

29 Jan 2018 14:11:06
I know I shouldn’t bite but sit in between 2 of the feckers and get it tight everyday ha. They have claimed 1st payment 350k in aug when spl money comes in?
Then 100k every aug for the next 3 years. Just wanted to shut them up and say that’s just pash!

29 Jan 2018 14:14:18
Accies chairman even went as far as to praise us on the way the board conducted their business.

Don't believe what they tell you, the fear is ripping out them, they are already at DEFCON 5 and we are sitting 2nd on goal difference. The stories they come up with are all pure fabrication.

When we eventually do challenge and win the league, the meltdown will be biblical, think 1999 at parkhead x50

29 Jan 2018 15:26:56
Who cares if that is how the deal is structured Anderbear.

29 Jan 2018 15:45:56
Exactly Parky, that kind of structure may suit them and allow them to forecast their future seasons spend based on it, I’m pretty sure a lot of these types of transactions take place.

I’m hoping we get a couple of surprises coming in over the next few days and at least 3 or 4 out, then I’d like to see some cross border bosmans signed up for next year ASAP.

Good luck to Danny Wilson on his new move btw, always very professional in my eyes.

29 Jan 2018 17:05:23
Just wondering why some Celtic fans care so much about how we structure deals. I couldn't care less who they sign or how they sign them. More interested in what MY TEAM is doing

29 Jan 2018 18:20:21
they will be paying through the nose for musonda, big fee upfront then hefty wages for 18 months, he won't be worth it, overrated in my opinion

29 Jan 2018 18:45:30
Only reason I was askin as I’m sick of them banging on about us having no money and can’t afford upfront payments, just wanted to to call them on this one this morning. I get what u say about might be better for some clubs if it’s paid over a schedule or whatever and I know it doesn’t matter, he’s home where he belongs but just want to shut them up. Obsessed swines!

29 Jan 2018 19:17:04
Trueblueaotrue I disagree. Personally I think musonda is a wonderful young player and one I would have loved to have seen in a rangers strip. Sure he will have good games and bad games but on his day is arguably the most technically gifted and talented player in Scotland by a long shot.

29 Jan 2018 19:57:25
Anderbear its £300,000 downpayment now and then £380,000 to be paid just before the start of the season ( which will probably be paid off of the season ticket money) and finally a really high sell on clause of any future transfer fee (25%) hopefully this sorts a few things out mate and shuts up that Manks who would do or say anything to try wined us up.

30 Jan 2018 00:11:05
He's not even kicked a ball yet

29 Jan 2018 12:10:40
Does anybody think there will be anymore business done in this window?

I think if we could shift Herrera and repair at least some of the damage done in the summer it would be an extremely successful window. Nothing against the big man he seems genuine, (unlike Pena) but it's just not working.

29 Jan 2018 13:53:06
Interesting that Hearts boss suggesting Lafferty might be away - cash &MOH?
If / when Wilson leaves then I’m sure another CB will come in. Anything else depends on Herrera or windass leaving

29 Jan 2018 14:20:30
I'd actually take Lafferty back Gers09, not usually one for past players coming back but I think he could be useful in Murty's set up.

But there's literally no point trying to do business with Hearts, they will rip the arse right out it. Good idea with MOH though, it's worrying he can't even make the bench, players like Hodson, Krancjar and Herrera making it in front of him. Embarrassing.

29 Jan 2018 15:27:54
Why would we want Laff back?!

29 Jan 2018 16:18:17
We weren't interested in him when He was free. Why would we want to pay for him now?

29 Jan 2018 16:41:55
I just think he offers something different up front, would certainly be more effective than Herrera that's for sure.

29 Jan 2018 16:53:02
I think the only business we'll do is players going out. Can't see a need for anymore midfield or forward players, even if Hererra goes, Miller is nearing fitness and Windass is capable of playing off Morelos or Cummings if either are injured. If Wilson does, that'll leave Martin, Bates, Alves and McCrorie as options at centre half. Wallace, Dorrans and Jack still to come back from layoffs so we have some real strength in depth IMO. We can afford to lose Hererra, Hodson and Alves/ Cardoso and still have enough quality and depth to be a success this half of the season.

29 Jan 2018 19:14:44
OMFG they are signing players like Musonda and you want Lafferty back? Get a grip!

29 Jan 2018 23:22:29
Calvin55, you lost again mate? Wrong page.

30 Jan 2018 00:13:52
Guys seriously they have signed a Chelsea youth on loan and you speak of him like yes up there with Messi and we should be scared Kyle Lafferty is proven in Scottish football is Musonda . time will tell hope that big lad Cedric Kipre gets his hands on him or Kirk Broadfoot

30 Jan 2018 06:58:15
Lafferty ripped them a new one!

30 Jan 2018 10:34:35
Bearmode91 and Jyf, Serious question do yous think Lafferty is the answer and will instantly get us closer to them? Serious answers only please lol Lafferty is worse than the Naismith suggestion!

29 Jan 2018 09:39:44
Murty managed to play Morelos and Miller. He has to start Morelos and Cunningham now. Maybe Cunningham's not fully match fit but you can only get that by playing matches. No excuses Mr Murty.

29 Jan 2018 11:36:30
Kfraser I think Morelos and Cummings could make a good partnership

29 Jan 2018 13:18:23
Cummings said himself after the county match that’s he’s. it match fit. But yeah would love too see him play just be Morelos instead of Windass

29 Jan 2018 13:58:34
Windass is a 20 minute player, lad has ability but doesn’t get himself involved in the game enough - three times yesterday he was played in and only managed one shot on goal - there’s a player there but not sure how you get 90 mins out of him

29 Jan 2018 14:22:06
Cummings literally said he was starting to blow out his arse after 10 mins.

What's the issue with playing Morelos from the start and then bringing a different type of threat on as the opposition start to tire?

Strength in depth is key.

29 Jan 2018 15:48:26
Defo lads, Cummings/ Morelos will be good to watch in a couple of weeks once JC is fully match fit and the opposition merits 2 up top.

I actually think that the Celtic game mid March will be a 2 up top job!

Review Of The Day 29th January 2018

29 Jan 2018 05:58:48
{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 29th January 2018

29 Jan 2018 10:06:12
I see they are signing that boy from Chelsea. As much as it pains me that's some signing!

29 Jan 2018 13:01:43
You seen him play much calvin to me he's another boy with potential nothing more similar to zelalem he's had what a 20 odd game career find it difficult to say that's some signing he may well turn out to be a player but to early to suggest he's the real deal

29 Jan 2018 19:20:01
Of course I've seen him play otherwise how would I know he's some signing? Zelalem shhhh!
