I thing we should go for Gareth mccally and Harris vuckic both would add a lot to the team.

29 Mar 2016 18:34:24
Think we have better players at ibrox than them. Don't think they would add anything.

29 Mar 2016 20:49:23
Harris vuckic would be a good singing imo.

29 Mar 2016 21:19:00
Gareth mccauley is a better centre back than wilson and kiernan combined! I'd like to know any defenders we have that could play in the epl every week. I'll tell you 0.

29 Mar 2016 17:09:19
vuckic he would not come last year he is to slow also.

29 Mar 2016 22:36:35
Vuckic was good in a crap rangers team. That boat has certainly sailed IMO let's move on.

29 Mar 2016 13:57:18
Had to laugh at Lennons mindless analogy of debut Old Firm managers chances of winning. What a load of mince, he won his . If that mediocre manager can achieve it I'm sure Warburton is capable. Why do papers even give air time to drivel like this.
I sincerely hope we win the Cup, Ronnie gets the sack and Lennon comes back. Would be all the sweeter in victory next year.

29 Mar 2016 14:18:31
Hate how you never heard from lennon when he done a bunk down south but now he got the Bullet, no pun intended, he is right back on the Glasgow Band Waggon trying to worm his way back in about the old frim, Ronny should watch his back cause lennon would take his job in a min. No doubt he will be heaping praise on Ronny and Selik but secretly hopping the bears turn them over so he can get back into Selik.

29 Mar 2016 18:51:34
Mediocre manager recbob?
Won the league, cup, CL last 16 etc etc.
By your own standards if that is mediocre then Warbs is an extremely poor manager as he hasn't achieved anything like this.
I'm surprised you value your own manager so lowly.

29 Mar 2016 19:30:18
Lennon is Lennon we all know what he's about, but I do find it strange that one of his old clubs inEngland ar in the brink of a major miracle Leister City yet he chooses to go after Rangers! The only Show in Town! He is one of the most bitter people in football even the Wife dislikes him and she hates football!

29 Mar 2016 23:41:30
Lennon managed in the easiest time ever to be a Celtic manager i. e when we weren't in it. Left you's and ended up at the mighty Bolton. Went downhill from there. Hardly rocket science, that is mediocre.
Warburton is still unproven yes, but I'm sure the teams he's been linked with didn't even consider Lennon. Mediocre manager with a bad attitude to boot. The last I heard he was threatining to stab his mistress in Bolton. Big appeal Rayman.
Only you's would take him back, and even then it would just be to try and tempt an extra few thousand of you's into that breezeblock dome you's call a stadium (on a side note is Lawell counting the circling seagulls on match day in the attendances? )
Warburton will eat Lenmon for breakfast if he comes back next year. Or Ronnie it doesn't really matter, they're both inept.

30 Mar 2016 13:24:00
Recbob your only reasoning that WArbs is a better manager than Lennon is to insult him, no footballing reasons. Your hatred shines through mate. Come back when u have a reasonable footballing theory as to why.
Also had to laff at the "Lennon won it in the easiest time ever" lol.
Yes it was but do you even realise what your saying?
Warbs cudnt have it easier if he tried he only playing part timers and diddy teams.
Tho it really shows up how good McCoist was lol.

30 Mar 2016 14:36:25
Didn't Warburton and Justin Andrews launch the u19 nextgen series?

Guide Brentford to the English championship?

Win numerous manager of the month awards? (in a competitive league)

Don't know much about Lennon, can't say I have ever been to interested.

30 Mar 2016 14:01:36
Rayman you ignored every point a made.
Who's Lennon been linked with since making a mess of Bolton. Bolton are a far bigger Club than Brentford. Look at the difference between what both managers achieved in the only league the two of them has managed in. No comparison. And don't make the point about dealing with the financial mess of Bolton after slating Mcoist for operating under the same circumstances.
Warburton would never get involved in any the dirt Lennon rolls about in.
Miles apart in management and class.
All Lennon was good for was playing to the theatre (green brigade) . That theatre doesn't even exist anymore, would be more like a street performance due to attendances.
Lennon was left with the squad that was built to challenge Rangers's 4 in a row bid. Take away the £10m shortfall since we left and the team would be in the same state as Ronnies, a shambles. Warburton has built ours on a tiny fraction of that and I would take our squad over yours anyday. We need 4-6 players, you's need a complete overhaul. And I will be happy if Lennon is the man to attempt it.

30 Mar 2016 18:18:35
You would take your squad over ours anyday, oh the entertainment mate lol.
Journey men V internationals hahahaha.
U just won me the argument mate.
Even your ownsupporters wudnt agree with that lol.

30 Mar 2016 18:42:28
Can you read numbers Rayman?

29 Mar 2016 13:17:41
If anyone wants to see just what Cruffy left for Barcelona jump on sky sports news web page, check out the highlights of the u10 cup final against espanyol. The u10 play the game in the Barcelona Mould the mould the Cruffy laid down.

I can see were MW has taken inspiration from in terms of how he wants all our youth teams to play the same tactics and system, right through the club, if it good enough for Barcelona then the mighty bears should be happy that we have a manager in MW that has a vision for our club and that it has been taken right out of Cruffys book!

The future is Bright the future is ORANGE!

29 Mar 2016 14:16:06
Disagree why?

29 Mar 2016 14:34:09
Seriously you think warbs will round long enough to implement a youth set up that rivals Barcelona or Ajax.

29 Mar 2016 14:51:41
At what point did I say rivals, all I said was it is good that he is trying to implement a philosophy through the entire club, in a mould such as barca, no one can rival barca,

when we are looking at the shambles that we had before warbs arrive to what we have it is night and day.

It was the Rangers Board that wanted to bring in a manager to change the culture of our club, to focus on the future, the youth, the set up top to bottom in the Academy, even after warbs leaves, this is the template that Rangers will stick to for a long time!

It not just about being a manager for warbs he is trying to leave a structure in place that will stand our club in good stead for many a year!

Comments please New bhoy?

29 Mar 2016 15:27:29
Celtic and Rangers have been trying for years to get their youth policy's in order but it's a result driven business and if the manager doesn't get the success we demand instantly he gets sacked so why take the chance. Do you honestly think either of our clubs could rely on our youth polices, it will take years to kick in and if either of our teams comes second in the league we will sack our manager. If you were the manager and your reputation and job is on the line would you go with an unproven player or someone who has first team experience and shows he can handle pressure. It's great saying you want a great youth policy but you'll need time to bed it in which is something Celtic and rangers boards will not give managers who fail.

29 Mar 2016 15:43:53
Well put M3LVO.
I don't think Rangers could have picked a better manager to get this club organized from top to bottom. I believe his vision is second to none, not only will it benefit Rangers in future years, but Scottish football in general. I really hope he and sir Davie are here for a long time to come.

29 Mar 2016 16:07:44
I can see both sides of the argument but I would have to side with M3VLO. Yes it's a result driven game but he's right in saying the board wanted someone to change the club in to a sustainable one that replaces outgoing players (sold at profit) for youth. Creating a template for future managers. I would bet my house on Davie Weir carrying this on if Warburton left for another club. I can't see the manager being sacked, at the rate we have improved the sky is the limit. Celtic are regressing its there for all to see.
Celtic are also trying to do the same thing. The difference between them is Lawell also likes to buy overpriced turkeys these days and try and turn a profit on them. Not one or two, loads of them. It worked a few times so he tries to replicate it over and over but luck seems to be running dry at the moment.

29 Mar 2016 16:39:06
New Bhoy, I do understand the point you are trying to make, however it appears that as a jungle jim you will not understand the journey that Rangers have went through, the transitional period or club is undertaking and the fact that we are moving in a total different direction to years gone by, which you will witness first hand at hampden.

Rangers fans are now happy for the philosophy to be introduced and we now have a realisation that this is the best practice for us to go with now, taking into account what happened to us and how much damage was done to our club with mismanagement in years gone by.

Our club has a clear vision and clear goal, we are on an upwards trajectory back to the top,

lets face it this is the time if any for us to introduce this to the Scottish game, it is a brand of football that has never been seen in Scotland before and as we showed Dundee on our day, we will destroy teams.

Now I am awaiting your response, its Dundee, your a new club Sevco, your in a lower division, we have international players we are tainted champions of Scotland, but we all know as do you my friend that we are coming for you and we will soon have our rightful place back at top of Scotland, No1 team in the country. It is only a matter of time, we are not standing still we are racing forward, you lot are regressing with a manager that can't keep the same 11 player for 2 games running!

The future is Bright the Future was mapped out by Warbs, and going back to my initial post Warbs took his inspiration from CRUYFF, RIP!

29 Mar 2016 17:22:55
We've got more cushion as our expectancy levels are reaslistic in the sense we know we won't have instant success.

So we can implement and take chances where necessary. Once we're back in the league we belong and challenging then soon we'll be back to wanting instant success.

Both teams have had the ideal opportunity to rebuild and i have to say both haven't done it well. Only this year we've made changes and only time will tell if fans will be as patient when we're in the same league as each other.

29 Mar 2016 18:44:37
In 3yrs or so, we will hopefully have an abundance of talent coming through. I say 3 yrs because we have brought in a few young players at 17 18, then young burt so hopefully in 3 yrs these kids will be fighting for a place in the first team. I also don't think durrant is the man for the youth. I think mcparland is one of the best bits of buisness we have done in years.

30 Mar 2016 07:31:12
We will see what happens when you get into the premiership, my opinion is that if you don't win the league in two years you will be baying for blood and the youth policy will not get a look in. It's a fantastic idea but as super ally has stated the ideal opertunity had passed for both clubs to take a real punt with their youth system. As for hampden that game will look after its self.

30 Mar 2016 13:35:11
M3LVO one thing you do have in abundance is ARROGANCE. I surprised you not predicting a Champions League win over Barcelona in 2018.
Yes you beat Dundee and all this bluster seems to be based on this, but what about St. Johnstone thumping you 3-0 will we just forget that happened, of course that doesn't suit your argument.
The fact is you are a 2nd tier team who happened to be playing good football in the 2nd tier.
It means NOTHING when you come up and will be against stronger teams 38 times a season not just once or twice that's when you will find out if you any good and not before.

30 Mar 2016 14:08:16
Rayman, wait a min just to a wind in my fishing rod, take this dumb as fish off my line, ooohhhhh look its rayman. Think you are mistaking Arrogance with Confidence and self assurance.

Was only a matter of time before we got the comments flying in from the Jungle Jim Trollers.

The fact is this rayman, it will all come out at hampden. Ronny will be picking up his P45 after it. The only argument that you lot have is you are second tier, you are playing against part timers, we are Scotland champions, bla bla bla, am bored listening to you lot.

You understand the reason that you continue to spout your nonsense is fear that you know what is coming, it is so plainly obvious.

Selik and there fans are just raging that their time in the limelight is about to end. you are gutted that we now have a football philosophy that you lot don't have.

If you were no so ignorant to your own self's you would stop trying to discredit rangers, you must surely see exactly what rangers are building?

But its plain to see that it suits you lot to discredit us. Just remember Rayman, we are not Hearts we won't be coming back up fighting for 3rd place mate! We will be coming back up to take what is rightfully ours and always has been, so go and crawl back under your stank! !

30 Mar 2016 15:08:15
Yep M3LVO arrogance lol. Nope you are not Hearts they WON the 2nd tier first time of asking, humping u lot by how many points?
You say "FACT" then just summise and predict lol, I blame the schools you really need to learn what a fact is before you pass off an opinion or prediction as fact .
It really is laffable, if it was any other team winning the 2nd tier and playing decent football (not brilliant football) against lower end Scottish teams you would be saying exact same.
Listen mate you and your pals endlessly tell us we are winning a nothing league easily and there is no challenge for us, but this league is a level ABOVE where u are playing yet you continually slag it off as crap or celtic are crap.
Oh the irony if the best team in the country are crap where does that put you?

30 Mar 2016 18:44:49
Rauman : 2 points, I personally have never felt Celtic are in a non competitive league, of course it is the top league in Scotland, as far as Rangers doing well in the second tier league, well looking at it realisticlally Hearts were in the same boat and look how well they have fared in the top league, I think most people including myself think Rangers can emulate them next season and be in the top 3 or 4 of the league, and hit a kind of snowball effect like Hearts did.

30 Mar 2016 21:22:06
Scotjo I don't think for a minute you won't be in the top three, with a little investment, next season and that it looks like Warburton is a decent manager, albeit one who gas it all to prove having never managed in a top league anywhere . The guys we come on here to laugh at are the crazy eyed Celtic hater's like m3lvo, who in there anti everything Celtic, can't seem to see how ironic it is that pep Warburton is god and rangers are footballs equivalent to the Harlem globetrotters, yet Ronny is rubbish and Celtic are a terrible team despite both teams having similar league records this term and Ronny is doing it in a harder league against much better teams .

30 Mar 2016 13:52:36
Rangers don't have a history of sacking manager, Walter, coisty, big Eck, all lost titles, none were sacked.

31 Mar 2016 00:00:01
Precious, that's a fair argument you make re different leagues/ opponents tbh. However, I've a few questions for you, if you don't mind. Is your team performing as well as you expect them to under ronny? Are you happy with your defence? If Griffiths got injured tomorrow and was out for the season, would you still be as confident of winning the semi and retaining the league? I've some close friends and relations who are Celtic season ticket holders (3 of whom were even in the 15k on mothers day) and all of them gave three unequivocal no's as their answers, which is why I'm asking you. They also tell me that without Griffiths this year then Aberdeen might already have wrapped up the league as Celtic have, for the most part, been extremely poor in comparison to previous seasons. He has completely carried the team according to them and continuously dug them out of losing situations. The only other positives they could offer were Tierney, the extremely rare lesser spotted commons, and mcgregor (when on his game) . Are they wrong about any of the above? Don't get me wrong, they are absolutely convinced you will beat us easily when we meet, they do support their team. However, when the green tinted specs aren't on and Rangers aren't involved, they give me honest, genuine answers and in the main they aren't happy bunnies. Personally, I can't wait for this game tbh, for me it's 50/ 50 and could easily go either way. Last year I could've seen that game far enough when the draw came out. It was always a non starter and I was just thankful Celtic didn't get out of second gear that day or we'd have got smashed. Celtic might still win on the day but it won't be anywhere near as comfortable as it was that last year.

29 Mar 2016 08:47:33
When harry forrester came to us on a short term deal in january I was sceptical after watching his first few performances coming on as a sub as he looked overweight, sluggish and unfit, but I should have known better as warburton knows a player and once he gets a player under his wing he does get them right into shape and extremely fit, now watching forrester I hope and think he'll get a long term contract at rangers as he looks tremendous on the ball has an eye for goal and looks lean and very fit!

29 Mar 2016 13:14:05
The boy sure deserves his contract, he loves being at a big club, looks like loving life in Glasgow and relishing next season

In warbs we trust.

29 Mar 2016 13:33:53
a 2 year contract would be a good deal for him. it keeps him on his toes, and it means he is always valuable if any offer comes in for him.

29 Mar 2016 13:54:12
I'd give Forretster a 3 year deal. And I would also upgrade Mckays at the end of the season to 5 years. These two could be worth big bucks in the future.

29 Mar 2016 15:18:17
Recbob, Warbs has already stated that long term is gone. it will be 2/ 3 year deals for majority of our players. and quite right!, 2/ 3 years keeps the players hungry for better.

29 Mar 2016 16:14:53
Never said it was going to happen, just what I'd like to see happen. If McKay takes his form into the SPFL and then Europe he would be worth far more on a long term contract. That's my reasoning.
I can see him making the same progress as the two Hamilton lads have done Mccarthur/ Mccarthy. He's played loads of lower league football and has came back and lit up a packed Ibrox every second week. Tore SPFL teams apart with Wallace down the left. Not easy to do at his age in his position. Being that close to the touch line you can hear the negative rumblings when you give the ball away trying to beat a man. The boys a star in the making, well worth tying up long term in my opinion.

29 Mar 2016 20:50:56
I remember words like Essex pretty boy being spouted about when he signed lol, talented player with a bit of workrate about him.

29 Mar 2016 20:54:46
Forrester looks a better player than ohalloran. I know he has to get used to our style but I think he won't get much game time next season.

29 Mar 2016 21:50:09
Bluenose: Am not so sure about that.

29 Mar 2016 09:31:26
Gers back on top great for Scottish football. Lennon back a disaster for Scottish football.

29 Mar 2016 00:41:08
Is Templeton still alive?

29 Mar 2016 08:09:58
It's strange the injury has kept him out this long. Really thought with new manager in he was going to come good and be the player he was before he joined. Really disappointing it hasn't happened and it's looks highly likely his Rangers career is over.

29 Mar 2016 12:00:02
Thought he would have been great for us, disappointed it hasn't worked out.
