just back from the game , amazing performance from the players and the fans, union bears were amazing again! WATP

Believable12 Unbelievable36

Amazing performance? Not quite, too many passes going astray, final ball not the best, too many touches etc - something Ally needs to work on especially with the younger team members. I would say a reasonable performance with a good end result. We're beginning to gel together as a team, there is still a long way to go, but the signs are there and it bodes well for the future. bigbaz

Agree14 Disagree16

Young boys are doing well need centre half area sorted and big lee further forward

Agree9 Disagree13

Its early days, but they are starting to pull together. And the youngsters are getting a good run out. Agree about the need for decent centre half.

Why do we need a change? The teams starting to pull in the right direction! Fans wae short memories that's all I can say!

Believable12 Unbelievable14

Well said. We got the win we wanted and the match finished with five graduates of Murray park on the pitch in Heggarty, Cole, McCleod, McKay and Naismith. Time for some fans to wake up and finally acknowledge where we are and where we're going. The glass is half full not half empty.

Agree7 Disagree3

Yeah before we know it they will all be premiersip stars. get a grip

Agree4 Disagree3

@2. They are Rangers players and we should be backing them. No, not all will become 'Premiership stars' but maybe one or two will, and if we sell them on, hopefully we'll make a 'pretty penny'. We don't have the luxury of buying players (we still have an transfer embargo in case you forgot), so we make do with our own. For me, they have done reasonably well, and with more games under their belt they will improve. If you want premiership stars as you call them, go follow the EPL. bigbaz

Agree3 Disagree1

Ft premiership, ft spl... My only concern and should be your only concern is that the players are good enough for the division they are playing in - which they are - hence why we are top of the league. We had a few hiccups to start with but we have found our feet now and hopefully we can go on a good run home and away although i do expect a few call offs over the winter

Good result today first time I've watched rangers in their new league, don't look anything special but only a few months into a new season so time will tell.

Also can't wait to hear from the attendance auditors as there was alot of empty seats ....

Lenny

Believable8 Unbelievable13

Not as many empty seats as yesterday, and your game wasn't on TV. 23,195 official attendance today. bigbaz

Agree15 Disagree8

Aye - and they were charging £12 a ticket yesterday against our £16. What was that they said about prices??

Agree6 Disagree7

02 Dec 2012 19:05:17
@1 but Big Baz all you ex bears have to look forward to is a wee cup run and counting your crowds. 23,000 is poor.
We Celtic fans have travelled to away european games in big numbers 15,000 for 3 away games and spending plenty. Our average home crowd is 45,000 when europe is over perhaps these 15,000 will bring our gates back up nearer the 60,000.
Baz you have no excuses for poor crowds. Timalloy

Agree7 Disagree16

Its not rangers in a new league its a new rangers in an old league

Agree16 Disagree9

Admittedly more empty seats yesterday, however Celtic have higher priorities this week. Also Celtic aren't as dependant on ticket sales as Rangers. I think more worrying for Scottish football was the number of empty seats in the Edinburgh derby. Maybe it's just a lack of interest in the cup.

Agree4 Disagree4

I'm not giving excuses Timalloy. Lenny asked for attendance figures and i gave them - just stating the facts. I personally don't give a hoot about attendance figures as they don't really matter, it's really just a point scoring exercise between fans. I'm more interested in the final score - how did you get on with Arbroath by the way? bigbaz

Agree10 Disagree4

@5. Or maybe money is too tight, after all Christmas is just around the corner, and few people these days have any extra disposable income (Me for example). Does not sound too good if there were empty seats at the Edinburgh derby game, normally a banker for a sell out. bigbaz

Agree7 Disagree1

Exactly..

My thing is only a few weeks ago the attendance mob were shouting about the best support in the uk,not so much now.

About the Edinburgh game.. It's really down to cost.its be real ticket to a game,fuel/support bus fare/food before you know it it's not a lot of change from £100.

Lenny

Agree4 Disagree2

It was one each.good run out for 9 fringe players?

Not bad - still in all 4 comps got a game in had for the league.point of exercise yesterday was playing a youth team.... Think that big multi million complex that's called Murray park is where youth comes from think Murray park has a big hole in it the last few years though.seems players go in but don't come out ?

Lenny

Agree7 Disagree10

Dimalloy how many of this seasons CL away matches have you travelled to? Or SPL away matches for that matter? Dont lie.

Agree6 Disagree3

Is the football really that bad in the 3rd the only thing worth talking about is seats ??

Agree5 Disagree3

Think u better check the team sheet 8 of th players wer 1st team players

Agree5 Disagree2

Lemmon - i thought that was a cup game not a league game

JG

Agree6 Disagree1

@9. Lenny, you obviously haven't checked out our team selection recently then if you believe we don't have any youth from MP in our squad. Admittedly we haven't 'churned' them out before, but there have been many reasons, ie not good enough, young players attitude, spending too much money on foreign players etc etc etc, but now the youngsters are getting their chance and some of them have real potential.

9 fringe players? Thought you had about 8 first team players on the park?, ok then, i'll agree to disagree with you on that one. More likely they had their eye on the midweek game and weren't concentrating on the job in hand. bigbaz

i see you all want murphy and humphries from motherwell for nothing, so no change there , dont want to pay your way. but sign them in january and they cant be registered for a year or play until 2014 . would two young footballers really want to sit and do nothing for a year . and would you pay them wages for a year for doing f.. all. i am confused by this.. shamrock

Believable10 Unbelievable19

Wanting and getting are two completely different things shamrock....a bit like being not guilty for the EBT scheme, when everyone has already tried/convicted/sentenced you.

Agree15 Disagree5

Shamrock you have cheek you pay 900,000 for wanyama and want 25 millon for him 18 months later, are you serious?

Agree16 Disagree10

They would be free transfers who would be able to be registered on 1st september 2013. A few weeks into the season. Remember the players will be out of contract. I am sure you are aware of the bosman ruling?

As for wanting things for free why dont celtic pay the value of the players they have had for free over the last few years? Ledley and mathews were both free were they not? Add to that riordan who was a young footballer wasted by celtic.

Memory must be very short for those who are so bitter

Agree17 Disagree4

Derek riordan signed by celtic on a free transfer in november because celtic were too tight to pay a transfer fee in the summer, then wasted his young talent by playing anyone and everyone before him

Agree17 Disagree11

You where not found not guilty of the ebt scheme you where just found it wasnt taxable you still used them and gained an unfair advantage

Agree4 Disagree10

If they sign a pre contract they can sign after 01.09.13, so they miss a month, not a year as you incorrectly state. You really should do some research before wasting your time.

Agree6 Disagree2

5.) You where not found not guilty of the ebt scheme you where just found it wasnt taxable you still used them and gained an unfair advantage

This proves you don't understand EBTs 'you still used them' actually the EBT was paid by the trust from the Isle of Man, Murray Internationals Trust, NOTHING to do with Rangers paying players this way. #knowyourtax

Agree2 Disagree7

Its because Rangers can't sign players for a fee because of the embargo you numpty. Out of contracts are the only option until January 2014.

Agree2 Disagree2

Your right post 7, we were found "NOT GUILTY" , silly obssesed !!

Agree1 Disagree2

Shamrock - Celtic have only paid Scottish clubs for TWO players in the last FIVE years - hardly fulsome support of your SPL bed fellows - for info Stokes and Watt are the two

Agree6 Disagree0

10} not even going to think about that.but right off the top of my head . scott brown £4.4million from hibs season 2007/8 . now unless i,m seriously wrong that is within the last five years and i think hibs are a scottish team .. shamrock

Agree1 Disagree0

10}scott mcdonald, £700,000 from motherwell 2007 . five years ago . so thats over £5m we have given to our {bed fellows}

Agree1 Disagree0

11&12 - okay fair point but your clutching at straws - both Brown and McDonald are in or would have been in their 6th season with Celtic, so past 5 seasons not years - doesn't really change the context of the statement does it ? .... There may well be others as I have just applied the same investigation as many broadcasters and blogs I.e. somebody told me so I published it - maybe there's a job for me with the BBC or the RTC - what do you think ?

Agree4 Disagree0

13]how does it not change. have hibs not used that 4.4 million over the last 5 seasons/years to buy players. add mcdonald thats 5m . so £1m a year for the last 5 years/seasons . can you even come close to that .? no.. shamrock

Agree0 Disagree0

Shamrock - I was actually cutting you and your mucker a bit of slack - yesterday (3rd December) I said they had only paid for 2 in the past 5 years, so technically that's anyone after 3rd December 2007 - both Brown and McDonald were prior to this - an apology would be the norm but an acceptance you were wrong will do - cheers mate

. Got to laugh at the amount of comments by The Rangers fans on Celtic's performance. You're all over it like a tramp on chips. Hmmmmm................................Obsessed with Scotland's premier club.

Believable14 Unbelievable22

Nope just giving you some of your own medicine yous have slated us all season when we don't beat teams like Arbroath, as you keep saying ITS ONLY BANTER.

Agree16 Disagree5

Anybody would think that ICT and QotS hadn't pumped them in their own back yard AKA the Sports Direct Arena.

Agree10 Disagree12

Celtics result was a shock but when rangers struggle against these smaller teams it aint a shock.....id be far more worried being in rangers shoes.

Agree8 Disagree9

@1. Come on. Arbroath are mid 2nd table. The teams that Rangers haven't beat this season are mid 3rd and Scotland's bottom team. Stop making your defeats sound better than they are. Lol.

Agree8 Disagree3

@3 just the same way barca have struggled against the smaller team in champions league this year?

Agree10 Disagree3

If a penalty defeat to a club a division above you is a pumping then losing to kilmarnock must be the lowest point of the celtic players career.

Agree7 Disagree1

OP When did Arbroath become Scotland's premier team?

Agree5 Disagree1

@3. The difference is, we have lost the majority of our first team, and are having to play the youngsters as first team regulars. You lot still have all your first team players (so no excuses), and couldn't beat Arbroath at home. As you've said 'I'd be more worried about being in your shoes'. bigbaz

Being reported that SPL are trying to push through two leagues of twelve by saying that it could mean £300k for those SFL that get asked to join. In other words here's a bribe.

They are saying the places granted on "merit" and does not include Rangers. Good, I say, you can stick your Lawell league where the sun don't shine.

Let me make this clear when we get there it will be on merit, that's fine. I don't want a quick entry to SPL 1 or 2, I have no desire to be given anything by these two faced chairmen. The same chairmen that would not allow us entry on grounds of "sporting integrity", tried to blackmail SFL clubs by putting us in div one, so they could benefit. They were appalled by SFL decision which was the same as their original decision.

Just as a parting shot, presumably they will be inviting the teams in div 1, let me ask you what have most of them one to "merit" a place?

Nothing, they bring nothing, no ambition, **** hole of grounds, no fans, bugger all.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Of course rangers won't get invited, Celtic have a free passage into the champions league for about 5 years, the 3 years it takes rangers to get to SPL and another 2 for us to find our feet, Celtic will be going for 7 in a row without any real challenge.

Agree12 Disagree5

If the spl push for a new league set up, then the sfl clubs should stand by their own president and with Rangers backing should negotiate their own tv deal.
