Only two from scotland no limit on non scots

Do not ask why

Agree0 Disagree0

HQ makes perfectly good sense. The fitba in Scotland is oan its erse and we don't want to do anything which might encourage younger talents to come in, add some excitement and improve our standards. That would stop the titanical list we have right now. Naw, bring in all the foreigners, flood the game with Luigis, Alfonso's Drakiyts and Ivanoffyitch's. They can then progress and move on to EPL etc. , improve the standards of their own national teams while being paid by the gullible Scottish public. That then leaves room for their brothers cousins and the like to continue the flow. No, must not do anything to encourage and support our own national team and leagues. Hope that clears the matter for you mate?

my honest opinion = if we took all our players AND coaching staff to a car boot sale we'd be hounded by the trades description people and would have to stick them all in the boot and take them home again!!

I've said it before - they may not be Rangers standard ( as we used to know ) but the biggest problem, and I cannot figure this out is THEY ARE ALL UNFIT!! None of them could chase a snail if it gave them a start.
We need a BRUTAL coach who hates the world and doesn't care who he upsets!!
Get shot of the "oldies" and give youth their chance before the drain plugs are pulled from the bottom of the pool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are now truly under a puppet dictatorship run by a board and manager that are doing what there told from outside sources hence the 5 players from Ashley's Newcastle United surly the gutless SFA must look into this man. McDowell won't know what to do with them cause he's hopeless!

Gutted that we are bringing in the young players from Newcastle. I would like to see Smith Foster Black Aird Daly Faure Simonsen Robinson all released but play Murdoch and a few of the other players not unknowns from NUFC. Add the fact that the management a term I use loosely have no tactical knowledge continuing on the previous few years. We have no style or pattern of play that you could develope the players under. Gutted at the lack of passion and ability on Sunday McCulloch is a spent force and should stand aside bring in Zaliuskas and give him a run he has been fit for a month now. A question to everyone, How many games in the lat three years have we dominated the play, controlled the midfield and generally left the Stadia thinking I enjoyed that game / player skills / ability? I can only think of two and one is the Motherwell game in the first season in the lower leagues. I read a lot of the regular posters and agree with a lot of the sentiment in the messages I fear for the future and don't think we will get the result we are looking for at the EGM if it happens. I am gutted at present and in all my life never thought I would consider not buying my season ticket but if this board remains I will take my time to think over the future. Taking my kids to see Manchester city v Hull this weekend hopefully to show them that football can be enjoyable. Tried explaining to my 6&9 year olds that the Ricksen atmosphere was enjoyed every week. Just to clarify my first season ticket was the year before Souness. I still remember meeting Big Jock Wallace as a young lad

Is it just me, but does it look to anyone else like that is Celtic "buying" their cup final win today? Strip mining the talent from Dundee Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Not really, they were interested in the players well before they knew they would play each other in the cup final)

02 Feb 2015 22:37:17
It looks like there buyin the best scottish talent and paying a fair price for it!they don't need to buy the league cup when our team don't put up a fight in the semi!

Agree0 Disagree0

What I don't unsderstand is why is GMS giving up a cup final place to move to a club he's already signing for in the summer? Yes he prob will win an SPL medal but he's pretty much got that in the bag the next few years. If it was me I'd cherish a non old firm cup win more than an old firm one.

I'd say it will be the wage rise which will be between 5 and 10 times his currentvwage. Be honest would you knock back an increase like that or delay it for 5 months of you were offeree it, Ivdoubt any of us would.

What we need to do now fellow bears is forget the game yesterday, after all it was no great surprise to be beaten by them! Was it? The only thing was the scoreline they will be gutted only two scored against our poor quality team, the biggest disappointment was the fact we did not even have a shot on target and the players did nothing for the Jersey or the fans that is the hard part.

We must now fully focus on the upcoming EGM this must go the kingco way or our club if proper f****d

If cashley did win ( and I am being very hypothetical) then I for one would advocate a complete boycott of all things cashley and especially Spivs direct!

Going by wee toxic spouting his mince on the LSE chat room they are very worried as its all about the votes! And I really think anybody with half a brain will vote kingco!

C'mon the EGM

Read inbetween the lines mate he says ashley will not let the David king win he would rather sink the club if David king is not back out withing a year regardless of players coming in on loan ashley couldn't give two hoots about the club or fans anyone that backs this man are off there rocker he will demand the players on loan are in the team now so I class that is interfering with the team witch is not on that's a managers jobs total disrespect

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Craig's 8686, Ashley or llambias will dictate who will be playing no doubt about that whatsoever, history of it at Newcastle, that gives mcdowall the chance to man up, and tell the fans, or will he stay stum and take the credit if they make a difference to rangers performances on the park,

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Feb 2015 22:36:42
Lets face it we need players in after sundays performance if only on loan to give the players a kick up the backside and besides we can't afford to buy anyone and if it improves the product on offer it can't be bad to many have been underachieving for too long

Agree0 Disagree0

If all is true, who is dictating the team, a canny see McDowall dropping his pals unless the powers above tells him, we know llambias tried it at Newcastle and was told by kinear to do one, in which he was forced out,

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all a little too late to save this corrupt regime, we dodged a complete embarrassment yesterday because of a poor pitch and a sub par opposition. Humped by hibs, humbled by hearts, out passed by QOS and demoralized by Alloa. Announce the date for your downfall now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - can only loan 2 players from the same side so 3 of them arent)

According to ssn 4/5 players coming in Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - maybe i am not reading rules right, SPFL rules says only 2 loans from one club at one time, maximum of 4 players at one time with only one aged over 21, it doesnt seem to clarify if that is between member clubs or whether the rules are different for loan deals from clubs outside Scotland)

02 Feb 2015 14:47:38
Just one other point about yesterday which has nothing to do with how poor Rangers were, but the pitch at our national stadium was an absolute disgrace. A passing game wasn't possible on that surface, not that Rangers teams under McCoist and McDowall play a passing game anyway! lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Feb 2015 14:26:08
Bears I think we need to get things in perspective
We have been away from the top level of football for 3 years
Any athlete for example a boxer that stayed away from the top level of opposition for that period is automatically rusty and ill prepared there is zero chance you can compete.
Throw into the loop we have had the worst management team and signing policy in our history. Plus 3 years of financial fraudulent activity and financial mismanagement.
I am amazed we did not lose by more.
To strike a positie note after that we are about to enter into an EGM vote that will change our history and I hope start the transition we wanted that is the complete restructuring of Rangers FC. Boardroom, Management, wages policy, signing target types, scounting and the youth academy overhaul
This can be done by King and the 3 Bears with possibly Sarver as a partnering investor. Magath brought in to oversee the scouting/youth development and McInnes plus his own team to supervise all things first team from tactics to players he requires.
This is what should have happened 3 years ago it didn't and now is the time to move on and remedy that.
Celtic are obviously a more complete squad than us I do not see what the issue is there. When Souness brought in Englands complete central spine and numerous top international players we were for years a far superior squad to celtic. They didn't have to suffer the financial meltdown we have so we have more reason to understand that it is just an temporary thing. Football moves in cycles of being at the top for a few years then rebuilding after a team peaks. It has Always been that way think we both have had our 9 in a row teams and we both in recent times had our clubs reach Euro Finals.
Rangers will rebuild from the top down and the bottom up. Our one consolation s that I honestly do not feel celtic have progressed significantly in the 3 years at all if anything they are not as good. FFS can you imagine what would have happened to Rangers had we been facing the Martin O'Neill team at it's best with Larsson in attack? We WOULD have lost by a barrowload. That team destroyed all the SPL teams week in week out taking 5-0 at least results against Aberdeen every time they met. This celtic team is better than us but it is no way a hard act to catch up to and I estimate in 2 seasons we will compete when the restructuring is in place.

Until then we need to realise we ar going though the biggest change in our history and it will take time but it will happen.

Way to much expectation of this team.

Congradulations to timmy they were professional and made us look what we are average.

I am looking forward to the rebuild and challenging them at the top in 2 years

George think we could had least expected them to get a few shots on goal absolutely appalling not getting we have bigger problems though and egm is crucial to future of our club thit's hope 3 bears king etc have a ace up their sleeve the board will cling on for as long as they can and will do anything to stay in charge

02 Feb 2015 14:16:55
I'm surprised at Kenny Millers comment that the gulf between the old firm is smaller than expected, how big did he think it was? it looked big enough especially with Tweedle Dee playing the same players and tactics that caused that gulf under his mate. Hopefully once the EGM is over a manager will be a priority and we can push on for promotion.

Hi Ed, any word yet when King is coming to Glasgow, thought I sen on previous list he was due today or this weeks. Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - I think he was due to arrive in uk yesterday

He arrived yesterday watched the game on the airport telly and changed his ticket to return today I think he is going to see if he can withdraw EGM request and save himself another 20million

Joking apart I think he is doing the rounds of the shareholders and borderline voters. That seems the logical thing as the EGM has to be nnounced this week the board re obviously fannying as long as they are allowed to by the rules.

I hope he has all the votes he seems to blieve he has as this vote is turning into the most important thing ever in Rangers history.

I dread to imagine the asset stripping and ontinued financial mispractice were King not to win.

While it's nice to be talking about the football for a change the truth is yesterday's result and indeed the game itself was totally irrelevant.
I hope now with the distraction of yesterday behind us we can all get on with the real job in hand of ridding ourselves of the scourge who occupy the boardroom.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Feb 2015 13:23:11
Yesterday confirmed what many of us feared and that McCoist engineered us into a team without hope. Oldest average age team in the UK, no youth policy worthy of note and no future. It'll take years to undo the damage. I can't see us in the SPL next season and finances squeezed for another year at least.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Kfraser

It isn't that bad with a new board and a new management team in we will be back at the top in 2 years.

We are no different now to the team Rangers had before David Holmes stepped in and brought us Souness and the 9 in a row era.

The Rangers team were awful then and awful in the New Firm 1980s era too. I know I used to sit in the Centenary Stand (old stand with benches prior to Govan Stand for any young bears lolol) suffering watching them lolol

This era of despair and financial theft will end in 4 weeks mate I am convinced of that

After that we may not ever be in the Souness era again spending multi millions but we will recover and I expect us to win the league again in 2 or at worst 3 years with a Magath and McInnes led backroom staff

Keep the faith

no excuses for yesterday but how did scott brown stay on the pitch? 3 fouls first half and that shocker on black that was clearly deliberate? All I hear is praise for his performance it's a joke, if black made that challenge at the end he would be off and be getting pelters. Saying that we got beat easily and fair play to celtic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some of our tackles weren't the cleanest either, and I think we got away with a skiter late in the game at the front of our penalty area that should have been their FK not ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

A hard challenge but was not late and wasnt high so never worthy of a red card. Lee McCulloch on the other hand should have bene off for the deliberate elbow on Leigh Griffiths and the stamp on John Guidetti. Think the referee was awful, he didn't have a lot to do but the things he did he got badly wrong. A very easy win for Celtic and I think 2-0 makes Rangers look considerably better than they are. Better finishing and ref decisions would have seen 5 by half time and if the pitch wasnt like a ploughed field I think it couold have been more. Rangers are a long way away and they really need some quality, problem is, how can you get quality to sign?? even if there was some money.

Agree0 Disagree0

My point on brown was he deserved two yellow cards during the match imo,Not a straight red. Don't you think if we had a manager like Walter Smith from the start of the season we would be performing much better? I just think it's a lack of discipline and authority and the players feel there's no plan or vision

our management team showed how pathetic they are yesterday! 4-5-1 against celtic. daly for Aird, clark coming on in the 80th minute, should've been a 4-4-2, simmonsen, foster, jig, McGregor, Wallace, aird, black, law, temps, miller and daly, 60th minute clark should've came on. take the game to celtic, not sitting off them and giving them all the position, no pressure on players, even with 5 in midfield, it cost us 2 goals! such a shower

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Putting a well past his best midfielder/striker in the most piivotal roll and frankly most important defensive position in our team for this game was simply put bad team selection, favouring old pals, sticking with supermanager's tactics and basically the reason the defensive errors caused both goals. Disgraceful marking of a dwarf for first goals then dribbling backwards INTO our goal are for second rather than clearing the ball.
