Lets get a reality check here. When Walter had a far superior team to the current team he still defended at Parkhead for 85 minutes and counter attacked. Do you seriously think he will play an attacking format with the current squad - no chance.

I can understand everyones desire to go 4-4-2 with Bartley and Bougy in the centre but with the players we have at our disposal I can't see it working. If we had McCulloch available to cover then yeah but with Whittaker being attack minded i think we would leave us vulnerable.

Thought id thro in my tuppence worth . . if i were manager tonight id go 442 tonight. See how the celtic team deal with the two strikers (my only worry bout this is that we can't play Weir against them with that formation) the reason id go with this is to se how the celtic team react with it. Id happily sacrifice the league for the Scots Cup and at least this way we will know how that 442 plays against them.
However i don't think this is how Smith and the gers will come out, I actually think (and its not been mentioned here yet i don't think) is he will play the european 541 formation as the players all seem to know their role and if u look at the home games in europe this year we quite clearly looked at our mostt solid and strangely created more chances using this formation.

Thanx for all the messages etc guys, I actually came on here to say goodbye to my friends I met on here, and thank the Eds, not look for sympathy but your messages have changed my mind, I will admit that some of your thoughts and messages posted brought a tear to me and SickGhirls eye. If I was ignorant or abusive to anyone, I sinceerely apoligize to one and all, but my head was all over the place. And it helped me through alot of troubled times to come on here and have a rant/ banter. SickGhirl couldn't believe that people I have never met could be so thoughtful and nice. So, on behalf of my family thank you all and if it is ok, with you guys, could we wipe the slate clean and start again. I will always pass my opinion, but I also respect others as alot of Rangers fans can vouch for, I am 99% a decent (and semi intelligent guy) LOL
