43,383? Good attendance tonight from the Teddy Bears. Don't do walking away? Don't do walking there either by the looks of Ibrox tonight. On the one night when one of the potential bidders was there too. He must be well chuffed seeing all those empty seats. It'll be making him believe he was right when he decided he wanted to liquidate Rangers.

Believable5 Unbelievable10

FYI more people were at Ibrox tonight than were at champions league finallists Chelsea's game, i would say that not bad for a midweek game shown live on T.V.

Maybe if Celtic fans spent less time on Rangers sites talking about Rangers they might not have an average attendance thats 11,000 less than capacity.

For a team thats won the league that is shocking amount of empty seats.

Agree9 Disagree5

Live on sky sports! And still pulled in 44000... I would say thats more than acceptable! Now jog on timmy...

Agree7 Disagree4

No way was there 44000 in there.counting season books i think

Agree4 Disagree4

No2,how many season ticket holders do rangers have?thought rangers fans where boycotting sky?

Agree2 Disagree1

If this was nearly 44000 then Ibrox must hold about 100,000!!! Ranger fan who r we trying to kid !

Agree4 Disagree3

Remind me, was it 9,000 at porkhead the night the fox ran onto the park before the wee Fergus took over?

Agree2 Disagree2

What were septics hone attendances in Europe? Can anyone help? What were the numbers just before mobray got the bullet?

Agree1 Disagree1

Celtic V Motherwell 2010 midweek game, april. Check the internet and the paper write ups 10000 which leaves around 50000 who couldnt be bothered to turn up. End of debate I think PB

Agree6 Disagree3

The difference is Celtic arent on the brink of dissapearing with fans spouting "we dont walk away," every two minutes. Poor show.

Agree2 Disagree2

Not really. The OP is talking about the fact that Rangers fans said they would pack Ibrox out till the end of the season, no matter what. Whether it's a midweek match or not, Rangers fans should be cramming into the place and making a lot of noise so that anyone thinking to invest sees the 'passion' you always talk about.

Agree7 Disagree6

Well it said 43,000 odds not bad for a game live on tv just remember some fans travel from along way and it is midweek doug

Agree7 Disagree5

43000 at a meaningless midweek game? Not too bad IMO. CheltBlue

Agree7 Disagree6

Were you at the game tonight? I doubt it very much. 42k for a midweek game thats televised is pretty good id say.

Agree7 Disagree5

Midweek game, live on the tele, I'd stay at home too

Agree4 Disagree2

Thought you wanted full houses in this time of need?

Agree3 Disagree0

But your skint club needs the money! So much for the loyal fans who would fill ibrox in every game until the season ends! Poor show as usual

Agree4 Disagree3

Ive a season book but i couldnt go tonight so they would probably count me ,t here was space for some tic fans to come and see how football should be played not stamping on other players feet from a certain tic player who shall remain nameless that came from hibs doug

Some good posts on here tonight, as a true bear, I've just finished George orvilles 1984 and I noticed a few similarities in the book to what's happening here, has anyone thought that a lot of the creditors might be working on orders to coin a phrase, inventing debts to pull down the club at the order of the government. The snp have never wanted a strong rangers because they see them as a threat to their plans to get a republic. Alex salmons is no rangers man, and a lot of the discussions he has had with the Tories suggest that the ebt stuff is just victimisation. This has been Britain since the days of the Picts and we are now losing our club and our country. we should boycott the elections so that we show a signal that there should be no football thought police.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

George Orville? You been reading about Keith Harris elsewhere on this site mate?

Agree3 Disagree0

The conspiracy theory is that there is no conspiracy.

Good reading, OP. Some on this board probably really do believe Rangers matter that much to Scotland.

Brilliant. Now you're talking. Football intertwined with politics. David Cameron is a True Blue puppet PM. His real agenda is saving the Gers from the abyss. ha.

What's the crack with David Healy always on the bench? Aluko and Kerkar are NOT strikers yet AM insists on playing them both upfront. Aluko suits a free role more, whilst Kerkar is a wide mid/winger at most.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Aluko's style of play is far too free-flowing for the structured play Ally seems to encourage. He would do well in Spain.

Okay - dumb question time- but can someone tell me how if we go with Millers plan to liquidate (or not as the case may be) how does he get his hands on Ibrox when Whyte has his shares and a floating charge on key assets such as the ground?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

From what i believe is he 'wants' a pay off of a few million.i see it as he wants about 20 to 30 million pay off as if he sold murray park & ibrox then he would get since he would be wanting a quick sale.D&P can argee on a new buyer but when the current one wants a pay off & bill miller is for talking sake putting up 20m the he will need to give whyte some sort of pay off for miller to get the keys to ibrox

lenny

Agree0 Disagree1

In the Administrators report Ibrox was down as Rangers asset (although the transfer to CW's holding company is also mentioned)

The Administrators think they can deliver this, I'm happy to accept that they know their business, at least until there is some evidence to the contrary. Actually think they've been pretty good up to now. They may not have pleased everybody, but Administrators are not there to please.

Transfering assets from one sister/parent company to another, a few months before administration is a fairly obvious trick- they can be reclaimed for the benefit of the creditors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Easy. D&P liquidate Rangers - i.e. sell the assets, and CW can't stop them. BM's newco buys the assets including Ibrox and the SPL share.

The stumbling block is not CW but HMRC who will need to be satisfied that newco is paying Rangers enough. Someone else might offer more money than BM for Ibrox. But that's unlikely, as it's worth more as Rangers' ground then anything else.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 May 2012 18:50:41
Who is actually holding the selling of the club? The bids by Miller, and the Blue Knights seem to be coming across as fine with constant statements "A New Owner Could be Announced Today" being issued every day! So the blame has to be with Duff & Phelps milking this for all they can lay their greedy paws on!

Believable4 Unbelievable3

It has to be an offer at least equal to the break up value of rangers assets. It's all linked to the creditors, hence the CVA......green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, I agree with green jedhi. It really is that simple. D&P must get the best price for creditors, however that price is realised.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2012 18:43:56
Once again...we must remember

Duff & Phelps ARE NOT there for us (Rangers)..there priority is to the creditors, not the business.

Much as we are all frustrated by this, Duff & Phelps can't legally sanction a very low bid from the BKs, if Bill Miller is offering more to the creditors.

D&P are actually doing the blue knights a favour by giving them numerous opportunities to match Millers offer....they don't have to do that.

I'm not saying that D&P aren'l looking after themselves, but there is an awful lot more to this process than meets the eye.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

02 May 2012 18:30:30
Why don't Duff and Phelps just keep their mouth shut and then make a surprise announcement once a bidder is chosen. Surely this would be better than the crap that's going on at the moment. Duff and Phelps are fast becoming the masters of the slow death by 1000 cuts.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Napoli, home of the mafia, went bankrupt in 2004 and regardless of contacts went straight to the bottom of all Italian leagues, Italian FA packed with integrity.
Swindon in 1990 got into the top English division, and got dropped two divisions due to the player sales bungs scandal. The previous manager got bungs for selling players, nothing to do with the club or players or fans. English FA packed with integrity.
Neither of these cases went to high courts or involved non payment of social taxes.
Why does the Ed never post this true post? It's elsewhere on the net! {Ed001's Note - it has been posted numerous times - stop with the conspiracy nonsense when you are too lazy to look back and find the post.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

02 May 2012 17:57:30
Looks like it's Miller time, i reckon this guy will do for Rangers what McCann did for Celtic. His plan does not mean liquidation but a temporary newco very similar to what Celtic did in 1994.

Celtic formed a brand new company to take over the football club and put the old company in hiatus, if anyone says that Rangers are not the same club then niether are Celtic post 1994.

Rangers will still be called Rangers and still play at Ibrox with the same fans and most likely now still be in the spl with little or no penalties as that was condition of his bid.

The old Rangers plc company will still work on a cva and pay as much debt back as possible, but this will be a long process maybe taking years.

The Rangers plc company was not formed till 27 years after the football club anyway so while interwined they are not the same thing. {Ed001's Note - that is not what Celtic did at all. All they did was change from private limited unto a public limited company (or the other way around), nothing else.}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

My god!twelve weeks in and this rubbish is still getting punted! Celtic were in no way close to whats happening to you..........green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense Feargus did nothing like that..... Clutching at straws.... History is going going gone........Newco= zero history.
History starts the day of the Newco.

Agree4 Disagree0

Celtic didnt write off their debt in 1994 , Celtic didnt use EBT's to sign players they couldnt afford , Celtic didnt owe clubs money for players and Celtic made do with inferior player such as Wayne Biggins , Carl Muggleton , Lee Martin etc while they settled their debt to the bank , a totally different approach than what Rangers are trying to take .

Agree4 Disagree0

Temporary newco how the feck do.s that work garlar07

Agree2 Disagree0

WELL SAID ED..we became a plc,not a newco, this incubator nonsense is too try to appease the fans& dress up the fact that a newco is still RFC..whenever there newco starts, that is the end of RFC,s timeline...stevo

Agree4 Disagree0

Celtic formed a brand new company here is a copy and paste of the companies index website saying so. Note how old the company is.

Company Registration No.: SC153534
Incorporation Date: 11 Oct 1994
17 Years old
Financial Year End: 30 Jun

http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/the-celtic-football-and-athletic-company {Ed001's Note - it is not a brand new company! It is simply a change of TYPE of company.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You won't win, Ed. These guys won't believe it because they don't want to. It's the same as those who are still refusing to blame SDM for the mess at their club. Still all a 'timmy conspiracy' to them.

1903 {Ed001's Note - when I first started my business, I was a sole trader, when it became a partnership, the name had to be changed at the bank, even though it was the exact same company. What Celtic did was very similar, they just brought in a lot more shareholders into their company.}

Chris McLaughlin now reporting on twitter that the Duff and Phelps do not expect to name the preferred bidder today - they are a total utter shambles - I believe that they cannot deliver Craig Whyte's shares and may have been his puppets all along. Just getting ready to go to the game I think we should all stay in the stadium after the game until they come out and tell us all what the hell is going on. I know it may sound childish and pointless but this is so frustrating they way they have treated the Rangers support has been disgusting since the start.

Whether you're a football fan of any persuasion or just a passing observer, this is becoming a five act drama. D&P's credibility as a business is shot to bits. They have to stop saying things like "We expect an announcement today....." etc. Who would appoint them to save their business? Unless you have a spare cool £2Mill + to pay their bill! SPL teams warned that for each and every year that Rangers are out of the top flight it could cost the other clubs £600,000 a year each. Source express.
Is this a realistic figure or could it be more? is this the reason why the clubs defered the vote? as for some, if Rangers die, they die?

Believable7 Unbelievable6

No, it would COST nothing. It's just less income so clubs will have to downsize their squads, which they can do because suddenly the average standard of the competition has also gone down.

Emotional nonsense.

Agree5 Disagree3

It would probably cost more than that. Most clubs get at least that from the Sky deal every year which would obviously go. The SPL would struggle to get a new sponsor so that would mean even less money, and no Rangers fans at away grounds would cost them all at least £100k a season.

GovanFR

Agree3 Disagree2

Why would the SKY deal 'obviously go'. The only obvious reason for it going is if SKY loses its licence to broadcast - unlikely to happen. Anyway, SKY isn't the only show in town. Finally, where was the 'concern' of Rangers fans for the other clubs finances when they (and Celtic) were trying to engineer a way out of the Scottish league system to England or the oft-proposed Atlantic League?

STOP PRESS : Disney Corporation have tabled a last-ditch bid to buy RFC. Murray park to become a football theme park. On entry, each sucker, sorry, guest, will be given a tour of the facsimile trophy room, several of which will have little stars attached to them thus *. Exhibition games will be staged at Ibrox Park, each carefully choreographed with the collusion, sorry, assistance, of genuine SFA referees, and directed by the guy who also does the Disney Western shows which ensures the good guys, ie. the home team, always win. Catering will be supplied at ludicrous prices, by a voucher scheme designed to cheat previous contractors of their rightful dues, £9 for a coffee, and £18 for a burger, to help pay for debts accrued by previous owners. Here is what a Celtic fan did, without
publicity when we had our troubles..
BOS threatened to pull plug on Celtic
board unless the overdraft was brought
back to a manageable level, John Keane
put £1m of his own money in to Celtic's
bank account to stave off threat from
bank, this gave wee Fergus and others
the time to work out rescue package
and then raise a share issue which
Celtic fans OVER SUBSCRIBED.
There must be Rangers fans out there
with money, but none are coming forward
and also to answer Govan FR, Paul
Murray seems to have short arms
and long pockets, in other words he
does not use his own money for anything
to do with his "beloved" club..
Underwrite £50m share issue, Govan Fr
your having a giraffe, anyway so
far Rangers fans have raised £0.4m
where is the other £49.6m coming
from?.... Timalloy

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Yes there is gers fans out there with plenty of money and love to be associated with rangers but too stingy assed to put their hand in their pocket doug

Agree9 Disagree1

Doh, you can't raise a share issue on a company that currently exists without the consent of the majority shareholders ie Whyte. Secondly we are in admin. Thirdly the debt is massive and has not been finalised. No one will invest until it stabilises and a final figure is known( more than likely liquidation as it is massive)In effect it's nothing similar to Celtic 1994. Now you have had this explained before Timalloy so stop being a goldfish or see your GP regarding your affliction. In fairness the RFF is at 400K by donations from fans expecting or wanting anything in return, purely wishing to help their club, something you lot never ever done. Why do you insist in distorting facts.

Agree2 Disagree1

I have actually been agreeing with Green Jhedi on Celtic supporters handling of '94 / BOS compared to ours. The apathy of RST, RSA and most supporters has been shocking....It's all too easy to come on these forums and spout what we all should and shouldn't be doing...but the reality is we have done nothing except for a frankly ludicrous march to Hampden alst Saturday...a march against the wrong people and at the wrong time...

Good point Timalloy...As I have always said, I wish we had a Dempsey who could have rallied the support and seen us - the supporters - fight for our club. Instead, we have done nothing!

SPM

Agree4 Disagree1

"He got the typical away back to own
page "

That's because what we was suggesting didn't actually make any sense, didn't address the issues, and in any event could not be done while the company was in administration. There's not point flag waving "share issue" as the solution to everything when the admins are in control of company, what would you "share issue" for?

If he'd suggested we should have had a whip round at Park head last week, or bake cakes, to solve our current difficulties, it would have been more meaningful. Sure you guys would have loved making a contribution.

;)

Agree1 Disagree0

I see 1 of the stingy fans is on his computer this afternoon and disagreed with me ,im on my laptop too but still working and muti tasking as woman keep telling me doug

Agree0 Disagree1

To the poster number 4 - everyone is missing the point of Timalloy's OP...the main point is as fans we haven't done enough to make our concerns known....we've by and large sat back, shown some defiance in attendences at Ibrox but other than that, we've done nothing. Its as if everyone is either resigned to our fate...or...just so arrogant that because its Rangers, everything will be alright! Whether or not anyone of us can make a difference, it sometimes means something to show you actually care. We have not demonstrated that!

SPM

Agree4 Disagree0

@4; not trading in RFC shares.Rather raise the amount to satisfy the administrators, get preferred bidder status all thru fans donations, then when you have control, convert the funds and monies paid by fans to shares. Not to difficult i would have thought.........green jhedi

Agree2 Disagree1

@7 Sounds lovely, have you ever organised anything like this before? having raised the £12-15million via carboot sales etc, what would be your future plans for the cub? on going cash requirement etc?

BM has the money and was part of consortium that does this sort of thing day in, day out. PM had an involvement with the club, understands the needs of the business and genuinely thinks he can still pull it off.

It's not that I'm doubtful of your sentiments green jhedi, it's the fact it's just that, sentiment. There's a bit more to it than your obvious good intentions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Main poster - fair bit of brown tonguing on yir mate GJ.
So much for your lot knowing what really happened at your club. Don't think this guy was part of the fans movement, but wanted to see his club survive. Maybe that says a lot.

@8; well living within your means would be the start as no credit will be easy to get. I would have thought you might be worried about Miller getting your club...........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 green jhedi, that's why we're here! we're all hoping that someone will buy the club, very, very, soon.

Ally's spoken with both bidders, happy to work with either, even seems quite up-beat. You never ever seem to really "get it" do you? just flit about making snidey remarks, here, there and everywhere, like a little evil fairy- Well, whatever rocks your unhappy boat.

Ed-what is the difference between Newco and liquidition {Ed001's Note - a newco is a new company altogether. Liquidation is the end of the old company. They are completely different things.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Newco is ALSO end of the old company Ed! {Ed001's Note - no, you can create a newco at any time, it is independent of an older company. It doesn't have to presage an end to the old company, though in this instance it will likely lead to that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

So if you liquidate the old company you need to start a Newco. {Ed001's Note - you don't have to, it would just be the end, finito etc. But you would need a new company to take it's share in the SPL.}

Listen Bears!! It's simple. If you liquidate, change your name, start a Newco or any other combination then YOU ARE NO LONGER GLASGOW RANGERS FC. YYou can say what you like but Celtic fans will never totally accept you as the real Rangers and will always feel contempt towards you for destroying the Old Firm legend. It takes two teams to compete in the Old Firm and now, because of Rangers wrongdoing, you have stabbed a dagger at the heart of Scottish culture.

As for fans like myself being the reason we're in this position?!! No debt, all revenue streams from tickets, catering and strips will be back with the club and the history will remain in tact.

Reportis today that were Rangers to not be in the SPL next season due to ... insert reason here... it could cost the other clubs £600,000 a season. Whilst Celtic could no doubt take the hit, a drop in income of that amount for the rest of the clubs could see some of the more vulnerable clubs follow us into admin next season.

Quote from the article:

"It is a very tough call for the other clubs but we estimate that it could cost them in the region of £600,000 every season if Rangers are lost to the SPL whether through sanctions or a newco scenario.

"Quite frankly very few of them can afford any income stream to dry up never mind confront that sort of major financial deficit for an unknown length of time especially in the current climate."

Ed what's the chances of rangers being relegated next season with 15 point deduction and having to play under 19s? I think is a cert. {Ed001's Note - highly unlikely, the SPL have already shown a marked desire to keep Rangers in the SPL.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Why should we help the spl out now ? div 3 we,re not getting europe for 3 years by the looks of it.now we can all stick together and we generate our own money and by the time we get to the spl again we will be in good shape and half of the backstabbers will be gone. airdrie bear

Agree4 Disagree2

So do you not think rangers will be involved in relegation battle next season with 15 point deduction ed? Going be some effort be youngsters if not. {Ed001's Note - sorry, I misread your question. I thought you were asking if they would be demoted rather than relegated. It will certainly be a hard season, depending on who is in charge and which players they can keep hold of. Also depends on the league make up, with one down, I think Rangers should stay up, if they increase the number of teams and make it a 2 up 2 down system, then they are likely to struggle badly!}

Agree2 Disagree0

@1: you want to destroy the league you aspire to return to... when it's destroyed? Isn't that a bit twisted?

Agree1 Disagree1

Also, answer me this question. Why would they have a 15 point deduction next season if they were in the SPL? There is no rule stating that at all just now.

Currently if they are still in admin by 3rd August then they would start on -10 points, although that could then be 15 or a third of this seasons total based on the proposed rule changes.

If they begin as a newco then there is currently no punishment in the rule books but the SPL would punish them in some manner. If the proposed rule changes go through then it would be -10 points for 2 seasons

Celtic own everything, rangers own nothing, Celtic own shirt sells, pie stalls, etc, Celtic having been paying loan payments since kingdom come, Celtic are miles ahead of rangers off and on the park deal with it, plus Dermot Desmond is a good honest owner.

Celtic have other forms of income, eg shirt sales, nike deal, match day catering and also have bigger crowds.

You dont have to be a genius to work it out. Celtic are run by proven businessmen with financial acumen while Rangers are run by a buch of chancers.

Agree1 Disagree0

Something has been puzzling me for a long time, OP says we pay 20m per year in wages or 1.6M per month. Whyte apparently held back 1M tax and NI per month for 9 months. Someone tell me how we pay 1M tax and NI on a 1.6m wage bill per month

JG

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 I would think there's more than just the players that would get paid I.e. grounds staff , admin staff and so on .

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte was withholding VAT on ticket sales player sales etc also that is why the bill is 9 million. Basically anything he had control of HMRC wise was withheld. In my opinion his attitude was that paying anything to HMRC while the first tier tribunal was undecided was a waste of money, his plan all along was that 9 million would just be lumped in with the rest of the debt for a pence in the pound deal cva or liquidation. As walter said everything whyte did was on purpose. I dont doubt for a second that we could have afforded to pay the 9 m on time, as we have been doing for years beforehand ebts excluded in that obviously. It may just be me going crazy but iv been thinking the whole getting knocked out of europe etc could have been done on purpose also just to create the whole admin scenario in the first place and to cement his secured creditor status. He was creating debt on purpose ticketus etc so that the figures worked for a cva, why do we believe he didnt try to limit income on purpose aswell. Just a thought

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple mate, any organisation/entity the size of Rangers (and celtic for that matter) have enormous tax liabilities. Not only in PAYE but in capital Gains and other form of tax liability. Dont forget, CW withheld PAYE for almost 9 months, not including the x amount of staff that are employed by Rangers as a company. When you consider that in many circumstances the size of specific wages from your top earners such as greegs and Davis (who are paying 40% plus in tax and NI) I would imagine the maths is'nt too far off the scale. I would say 9M in unpais tax is the very least we owed, with the remainder probably owed several months later due to certain HMRC payment schemes. Lets face it, 9M is a 'generous' debt and how on earth Whyte slept at night whilst witholding this money is baffling. If he is guilt free and refuses to relenquish his share in the company then his statement the day we went into administration can be finally proved as false from the beggining. smoke and mirrors. DC

A 'newco' option to exit administration is looking increasingly likely for Rangers, even though Brian Kennedy, associated with one of the two bids on the table, insists that an exit via a company voluntary arrangement is still feasible.

A newco could dump the club's load of toxic debt and then re-apply for admission to the Scottish Premier League. Rangers manager Ally McCoist insist that such a scenario would not mean liquidation and wiping out the club's history, although possibly they might have to call themselves Rangers 2012. McCoist is hopeful that administrators Duff & Phelps will name a preferred bidder by the end of this week.

One difficulty, however, is the distinctly unhelpful attitude shown by the Scottish football authorities towards the plight of 'Gers. Rangers are essential to the viability of the Scottish competition, not least for the number of away fans they take to smaller clubs. However, the 'leaders' of the Scottish game seem determined to enforce their rules in a relentlessly bureaucratic way regardless of the wider consequences.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Disagree!! Rangers are not needed for the SPL to be viable. I think everone has now accepted that if Rangers go the SPL will downsize and will still be viable and sellable, albeit on a smaller scale. Why don't Rangers fans wake up, smell the coffee and stop thinking that football, and life itself, depends on them. It doesn't. If anything, Rangers owe the SPL, creditors and everyone else who's getting shafted some money, apologies and most of all some humbleness.

Plenty tims did and posted what they found only to be told"jog on timmy" dingwall, mccmillan and the rest were sleeping while a shyster looted your club, and now they appear on TV like they know the score!Honest guys, you gotta start asking what these clowns actually do for you? They had a meeting with whyte and thought he was great, kinda says it all really.I remember listening to another berk called edgar on real radio, after a meeting with murray, claiming he could not say what but exciting times lay ahead for rangers! is this what he meant?

@1. So you agree in downsizing the spl? Is that not a step backward for a league that wants to expand to 14 teams... All you would do then is bring three duff teams in instead of 2..... ooooohhhh that would be a more competitive league..... rubbish.... the spl would crumble... why do you think they want to keep us in....

Why Should the SPL, SFA or other clubs help Rangers in any shape or form. Rangers (and celtic) have tried to leave the Scottish Game for years now when you need help you say the gmae can't survive without you, but when you had a team / business you were willing to leave it high and dry. Go to EPL Championship, Football League see if they will have u

once again guys...you are all forgetting something.....D&P are NOT there for Rangers...they are there for the creditors.....without the EBT case being settled it is not possible to avoid a newco 100% impossible.....

May still not be possible if HMRC block transfer of assets to newco.

My guess is that they won't, though, as whatever offer D&P manage to conjure up from the bidders will be deemed the best in terms of valuing the club. Then what's left in the pot gets divvied up.

Agree1 Disagree1

Just because we, the public, do not know the EBT case yet does not mean to say the likes of HMRC, Craig Whyte, David Murray, Duff and Phelps and the bidders don't

HMRC are very good at keeping these things out of the public eye until they wish to release them

Agree2 Disagree1

No doubts it could be a newco for Rangers but to say its impossible right now is tosh.

D&P have been talking to hmrc since day one, not saying it will happen like this but a CVA could have already been agreed with Rangers paying a bigger pence in the pound deal the higher any bill is.

Most of the Celtic tax experts said this case would be done in 90 days well its way past that mark now, the fact that it is taking so long i think more or less proves that this is not an open and shut case.
