Congratulations Leicester, does anyone else think they will be fighting relegation next season?

02 May 2016 23:26:28
Congratulations and a brilliant achievement by leicester city, we'll never see anything like it in the next 100 years in football that's how big and surprising this is! Over the moon for leicester city manager claudio ranieri who's a total gentleman, really have a soft spot for him, he's very dignified and humble!

03 May 2016 09:17:07
Yes scotjo i'm with you I read there something like 50/ 1 to be relegated if so well worth a bet.

02 May 2016 21:41:18
Dundee United relegated sporting integrity has prevailed.

02 May 2016 21:58:38

02 May 2016 22:26:07
Goodbye Mr Thompson enjoy the Championship. No need to boycott Tannadice any time soon.

02 May 2016 23:18:34
In all for forgiveness in the main. However I hope Utd now implode and fester away down there for years.

03 May 2016 07:52:40
They threw money at guys like pongollle and demel to save them, glad to see them down. Want Kilmarnock to stay up tho and judging by there scydding of Hamilton they have a real good chance.

03 May 2016 08:50:42
Hamilton to go down with dundee utd would be great les gray had too much for say for himself just like Thompson, falkirk to go up.

02 May 2016 21:21:38
cmon hemmings well done lad put these persons doon.

02 May 2016 21:38:56
All in all folks a don't wanna sound like a got a chip on ma shoulder but AV been to tannadice many times n we've been treated like animals and the fact that the wee baldy man Thompson can't stand us I'd just like to say. Dundee Utd get it right fkn round yeez.

02 May 2016 21:41:39
Well there you have it. Thompson and his team will pass us as we return to the top league, revenge is so sweet, enjoy your trips in the Championship, you may struggle to return at the first attempt. remember our name RANGERS. you got what you desreved.

02 May 2016 21:46:49
Horrible club and chairman got what they deserve. Karma can be a bitch. The imagse of Thompson chewing a wasp will be my new screensaver. Enjoying this so much. A club that took great delight in our plight. He'll slap it intae them!

02 May 2016 22:42:35
Mate last time i was there it was total abuse obviously you expect some but laughing at us for what was happening at the time really still to this day sticks in my throat, but my beer is lovely and cold tonight after watching that . they can ram it hope they drop quicker than a cheap prossie and end up playing non league.

02 May 2016 22:35:46
what a season if newcastle go down as well.

02 May 2016 16:25:58
if most of the loanees we sent out are not good enough to get games with those lower league teams, then I think it reflects badly on our youth academy at Murray Park, It is suggesting that they also are not good enough to play for us, so why keep them at all? and more importantly, apart from the few better ones, what exactly is the point of Murray Park if the players coming through are not good enough? We seem to be wanting to buy or sign for free young players from elsewhere and give them preference over the ones who have not lived up to expectations. Are we lacking in the leadership at academy and under 20 level?

02 May 2016 16:34:48
Barrie McKay didn't play much at raith and came back and has been 1 of our best players.

02 May 2016 16:41:40
Wee Bill, sometimes Barry Mackay was not picked for Raith Rovers during his loan spell and it did appear that neither Ally, McDowell or indeed Stuart McCall fancied him as all had the opportunity to play him. He would come under your "not good enough" from the academy and look what's happened to him. Hopefully others out on loan can achieve the same results as Barry. McGreggor, Hutton, Shinnie, McCormack, Burke, Loy, Hemmings, Gallagher the two lads that scored for Livingston and St Mirren the list goes on and on. We must be doing something right there.

02 May 2016 16:52:28
dunbar blue- you are obviously correct with the players you have listed but how many are currently at Ibrox, and bear in mind I DID say a few made it.
My big concern is that we have shipped out players that perhaps would have been better coached by sticking around playing in our younger teams. I know its not the same competitively, but surely better than getting splints on their bums sitting in subs benches at ramshackle stadiums?

02 May 2016 17:46:03
I believe that a lot of teams don't know you to use wingers and the player suffers Mackay stands out because of the way mw has us playing not anything against the player he was always good but in the British game we now play with rm and lm which is different from rw or lw. Look at di Maria at man u compared to him at psg or real Madrid, caudrado at Chelsea was the same much better at juventus. In the British game playing rm or lm is really putting a central midfield player wide. Wingers are flare players with imagination the managers need imagination to utilise it that is why mccoist a man who didn't have a clue struggled to use Mackay, in the old days we played with 5 up front four of them were wide men it worked because we let them play I remember watching davie Wilson talk about only doing fitness and all the tactical stuff was down to the imagination of the players. The famous Liverpool side that dominated the 70's and 80's played five a sides it stops self expression being coached out them, Mackay probably had conflict with mccoist due to the fact he wanted to express himself. Look how James mcfaddens career faltered because managers didn't know how to use him Mackay is lucky we have mw as some managers would have sold him to a lower league side and the boy would just get kicked off the park.

02 May 2016 18:18:11
Think some of the young ones should go out on loan, watched young Liam Burt when he came on last week and he got bounced all over the place, very talented but bit lightweight at the minute, going out on loan toughens them up,
Remember MW has only been in a season and changed a lot through the youth levels, Murray Park will produce as it is at this minute,

02 May 2016 20:12:57
How much £ do yous think the transfer fee would be to get Liam Bridcutt signed?

02 May 2016 22:03:27
Wee bill calm the **** down the management team and scouting system has been in place for a short few months. 1st priority promotion give them a chance to start bringing the young blood thru.

02 May 2016 22:12:11
Brian p I totally agree. No doubt Liam burt is a massive talent but done nothing. Everyone keeps shouting about youth. The team is full of young players n if warbs thinks they are good enough to get a chance fair doos. If not move on. Guys shouting about Murray park if the youth r good enough they will get their chance from warburton more than any other manager if not put them out on loan for experience and then again if that isn't happening get rid. In warbs we trust.

02 May 2016 11:10:17
Want to gauge thoughts on John McGinn.
Think he has had a great season for hibs and to be honest I was surprised that we never went for him last summer. He was a free transfer and is a young dynamic midfielder. Defo think he is worth a big even more so if hibs don't come up. Thoughts?

02 May 2016 15:13:21
Yip a think he would be a good signing.

02 May 2016 17:21:07
Yes he's a smashing wee player but no chance hibs will deal with us i reckon mcginn will be earmarked for a move to the rotten mob from east end of the city.

02 May 2016 20:46:42
Yes you are right he was a free transfer at the start of the season but we were too busy "chasing" Allan - he was a low risk gamble - too late now!

Better chasing Allan again once he moves on from Celtic?

Stubbs seems to spot these players about a season before us, both club and fans. To be fair MB and DW were just in the door but it was a missed opportunity?

03 May 2016 07:54:15
Would hardly call it spotting mcginn and Allan were both well coveted by most clubs in Scotland.

03 May 2016 08:04:38
Have to say, if I were going for a Hibs midfielder it would be Fyvie all day long, very energetic and peoples faces, so under rated in my opinion.

03 May 2016 11:04:04
ScottyGDF I hope your on the wind up. Fyvie?!

03 May 2016 13:20:23
Cee

May well be the case but Stubbs was the only one to take a chance on them.

02 May 2016 13:29:57
Scottish football has stood still for years and years . only a few years ago it was 1 up 1 down so in a lot of seasons teams had nothing to play for if there was run away winners. the league is sponsored by a bookie that is paying pitens for it and the people at the top think they are doing a good job. the game here is stale and needs a change I think 16 team . 2 up 2 down and a playoff would help Scottish football and with us back in the league it should attact a better sponsor .

02 May 2016 14:31:48
i don't know how anyone can suggest 16 teams when all the tv money is for the old firm games, how do you manage this with 4 old firm games a season?

02 May 2016 14:51:53
It's what has to happen for Scottish football to move forward.

02 May 2016 17:23:50
Thats the problem too many teams looking at the money side and not what's best to improve our game . the current set up is boring and stale playing teams 4 times we need a bigger league play each other twice . keep the play offs and take europa place away from scot cup and give it to a league place and there will be extra competition for euro places.

02 May 2016 18:07:21
Yes, we have had a while away so it will be more of a novelty playing these teams again for the first couple of seasons and having 4 OF games and meeting Aberdeen for the first time in ages and also being introduced to Ross Co for the first time.
There will be a freshness there for a while but we need to extend the teams in the league for the long term as there is too much familiarity due to too many matches v each other.

02 May 2016 18:21:27
Play a home and away old firm cup every year to replace the other two games, stage them in different venues around the globe like Oz and USA. I agree we need to go to 16 teams. The two Old Firm games in the league would be huge as well.

02 May 2016 12:59:41
END OF TERM REPORT (well nearly) . We've got a great management team and a scouting system in place. We've very good players in Tavernier, Wallace, Halliday, Holt, Mackay, Waghorn, Miller, Forester. I've concerns about Foderingham, Kiernan and Wilson. If Ball and King can be signed permanently then they'd be OK. We must get more muscle and experience in the centre of our defence and must cash in more of the many chances we make. I'd definitely like to see Hardie, Walsh and Murdoch given a chance in the first team squad but we need four or five very good players to compete for the title. A top 3 finish whilst admirable given where we've been simply won't do in my book. I think the team will return to top form in the Scottish Cup final.

02 May 2016 14:13:02
Agree with most of your post but King is no better than Walsh.

02 May 2016 13:25:17
the problem kiernan and wilson have is the way the fullbacks surge forward kiernan is best of the 2 but in the celtic game they both payed well because the fullbacks were not as adventurous as in other games the goalkeeper i praised last week then he has made some mistakes he still is better than cammy bell i will never forgive him for mistakes in last seasons playoffs doiger hopefully your right about cup final to me one or two think that after celtic game they are superstars they need a good old fashion rollicking to bring them back to earth its also obvious that law is in the cream puff because he is not being offered new deal which cuts down the quality on thee bench.

02 May 2016 10:58:35
I know scotland don't have anywhere near the amount of money in the tv rights etc as england but I think its shocking the winner of the championship (us) only gets roughly 450k for finishing first. What is it england gets for winner of championship 80million. No wonder the Scottish game has been fading away.

02 May 2016 12:19:46
Remember when sky tv deal was worth 40mill? And the guys running our game got greedy.

02 May 2016 11:35:01
We're our own worst enemy tho selling rights for pennies. i'm sure the spfl could make there own channel. they could show games all weekend from all leagues. i currently pay 5 quid month for bt to watch games. i'd quite happily pay double that to watch my team most weekends. i refuse to buy sky sports now cause it mostly english games which we all subside buying sky. look up kodi on a search engine and install on pc.

02 May 2016 13:31:20
cee that's spot on rangers celtic and aberdeen wanted to stick with sky but the rest were to greedy and went with setanta and the rest is history its even worse conidering the first live game in the uk was broadcast by beskyb was celtic v ayrutd at parkhead its also worse now because when a game is televised now the attendance more than halves an the tele money hardly makes up for the bad attendance.
