So Jack didn't headbutt Stokes or Broadfoot and red cards are revoked and life goes on. The referee and linesman in each instance made a call on something they didn't see as proven by the fact it didn't happen. They assumed the honesty of the 'injured' player rolling in agony and clutching his face. You're not just cheating a fellow pro and affecting his career, you're cheating all the fans and the sport. The SFA can dish out retrospective action against Alves for something missed by the ref. How about the same for Broadfoot and a mandatory 12 match suspension introduced into the rules for feigning injury, lying and cheating.

02 Nov 2017 20:11:29
Wasn't that when he was rolling about for youz lol

02 Nov 2017 21:25:02
A certain incident with Kyle laffertt comes to mind 😂

02 Nov 2017 22:06:15
I think kfraser is making the point that players are cheating the officials to gain unfair advantages, regardless of who they play for.

There should be a heavy penalty for players found guilty of "conning" officials in football and I hope it would reduce the rolling around that we see in every game these days.

03 Nov 2017 03:00:55
Rob, a certain incident with Kyle Lafferty?

Oh you mean the one when he did the exact same as Broadfoot except Lafferty was retrospectively punishes for? Aye that one.

That’s now two players vs Ryan Jack that have actually cheated ( no other way to put it than cheating) in order to have their fellow professional banned. The fact the red cards have been rescinded shows they cheated, but no punishment goes their way.

Lafferty was just as bad but he was punished. Stokes and egg coupon Kirk should have been banned also.

05 Nov 2017 09:28:55
Kfraser we’ve had players over the years that have got opposition players sent off so be careful what you say.

02 Nov 2017 18:23:57
What about strachan

02 Nov 2017 18:33:25
What about him?

02 Nov 2017 18:37:10
No chance wouldn’t want him anywhere near our club

02 Nov 2017 18:40:16
Na. The majority of Celtic fans I know and work wae didn't like or rate him.

04 Nov 2017 21:50:10
I wouldn't want Strachan but i think the reason they didn't like him is because he was straight after O’neil which was a hard act to follow

04 Nov 2017 21:51:36
But he would make a great rangers manager. might set a record for the shortest reign in charge.

02 Nov 2017 13:49:53
I would really like it if Kevin Thomson could land a Position on the Coaching Staff, I know that if McInnes OR Wright, who for me are the best Candidates, if either one of those gets the Position they will bring their N°2 with them, BUT no-matter what! Just due to the interview that he did on Heart and Hand alone for me merits a Coaching Role! We definitely need someone like Thomson around the place, he has for the past while been involved in Coaching, dunno if he's done any Coaches Badges BUT as most Bears we want to have Walter about but he ain't immortal,
Was thinking tho, having Coaches that have Played under Smith, learned from him and also have a bit about them themselves!
Bomber is back at the Club albeit on the Scouting Team. Lovenkrands is there and S. Wright who I think are both class, but Thommo definitely has something about him AND if we do appoint McInnes we can be assured that he will be able to get the Players playing for HIM and the CLUB, no-one better to watch and learn from, need the Players and the Boards confidence does help but yeah I really do think that Kevin Thomson COULD offer something to the Club. Would be a fantastic addition not only for Developing Players, but having the man around the 1st Team too could only have a positive affect.
Any thought/ opinions adding someone like Thommo to the Coaching Staff,
â—€QUESTIONâ–¶ Who would you like to see in a Coaching Role at Auchinhowie? Who do you think the younger Players would benefit the most from ala Technique, plus

02 Nov 2017 19:08:57
Cristiano Ronaldo, and Xavi on the coaching the staff would be good.

02 Nov 2017 20:26:44
Graham Roberts would instill some fight in the squad and Durrant for obvious reasons. Footballing skills and bite, two things in short supply at the moment.

02 Nov 2017 22:24:35
Laudrup absolute class on and off the park, would love him on board

04 Nov 2017 21:49:22
Agree 100% with Kevin Thompson being involved. Terrific player and the right mentality to instill it in the player he coaches.

As for your question, I'd have to say Barry Ferguson. He came through the ranks at Rangers so knows what it takes to make it and as for technique there is few players to have played for us in my lifetime who had the ability Ferguson had, particularly during his first spell.

05 Nov 2017 08:51:34
Birdswing, ronaldo was on the jonothan ross show in 2014 saying he doesn't want to be a coach or manager he wants to keep selling clothes or perfume when he retires from football.

05 Nov 2017 09:27:21
Kevin Thomson was cheated out of becoming a true great at ibrox. He should have been our next captain and stayed for years but he was Sold for a pittance because our shambles of a board needed the money. I would have him back in a coaching role on a heartbeat as I'm hearing great things about his academy.

02 Nov 2017 13:15:31
two out of three red cards have been overturned now so surely we should be able to make a complaint now about how the refs are treating our players.

every game i watch and i'm not niel lennon but i honestly see favouritism towards whoever is playing us and some of the fouls they get away with are just shocking.

02 Nov 2017 14:23:16
I agree 100% mate, its every game. Teams are now uaing it as there fame plan because they are getting away with it. Shameful.

02 Nov 2017 12:33:49
Just wanted to make a point about managers win ratios.

Before Rodgers took over at Celtic, he had a managerial career win ratio of 40%.

This is not different from the likes of Pardew, in fact Pardew is 42%, and he didn't have the reigns at a Liverpool side with Suarez in it.

I've said before I wouldn't mind Mcinnes, think he's a good manager and understands Rangers, but the main point i'm making here is that we are talking about the SPL here, we have massively greater funds and resources than everybody bar Celtic, so all it should requires is a manager of decent pedigree and we should progress.

I mean, we all knew Rodgers was a good manager, but did we expect him to do as well as he has done with that seemingly honking Deila team? No chance.

02 Nov 2017 12:11:38
No matter who gets the job I just as the rest of us will back him 100%!
I THINK that McInnes will land the position, and for me he's the right choice.
We should definitely not go for a Foreign Manager! In my opinion we need someone who ticks as many boxes as possible, someone who knows the Club, who understands the way the Support views the Club, knows the Scottish League, who gets the fact that opposing Teams see's games against us as a Cup Final! He knows the Team, seen them play AND would prob know quite a few personally. McInnes knows all that plus the fact we would be getting someone who would not have to be dealing with things like finding a place to live and all the other stuff that goes with having a Family.
THESE are factors that in my opinion due to where we are as a Club are HUGE!
To appoint someone who can basically come in and 100% fully begin to grab this Club, get it on track and Steer it in the right direction! And for me if Del can get a Team like the Sheep to 2nd and Two Cup Finals then I honestly do think that with our current Squad, who are 100% definitely a more Talented Team (NO BLUE SPECS! ) Then McInnes CAN achieve the success that we believe we can THIS Season!

02 Nov 2017 09:30:22
Aindoh. Have you been drinking. Mc coist for god sake. He walked out of the club and took garden leave. Then had the cheek to take a chewue for past services. Past playet he was. Manager or coach he aint

02 Nov 2017 10:33:08
aly is very good with people and could be a good no.2 like he was under walter but i do agree he ain't ready for a managers job yet

02 Nov 2017 17:54:59
Great player an absolute hero but as a gaffer no. He gets on with people as he is a yes man who tells people what they want to hear. No baws

02 Nov 2017 19:12:11
The thing is Ally had the contract and tbh I would rather he pocketed the coin instead of any of it making it's way to Ashley's lackies like Lambias etc

02 Nov 2017 20:17:23
Before the financial meltdown super ally was doing well as manager. Then he had to deal with everything after that. He was used and I think he deserved to walk away a rich man.

03 Nov 2017 12:10:00
Nizzyman, don't even try and slate mccoist. let's get this straight. 1 he was 15 points clear of celtic when we went into admin. 2 he started in the 3rd with 5 players, he got the best players he could at the time with the little money he had. 3 the circumstances and pressures that he worked under from all the circus carry on from the board and media was unreal, not even walter smith would have been successful under those circumstances. 4 he tried his very best to keep the club, fans, players together and you could tell in his interviews that he was under immense strain. 5 he deserved every penny he got from the club. 6 he could have played youth but he had to get up the divisions as quick as and go as far as we could in the cups to protect the pride of the club. 7 we wouldn't have done this with kids as they would have got kicked off the park in the 3rd and 2nd divisions. 8 show the man the respect he deserves, he stood by us in the darkest of our days when no one else would touch us with a barge pole. Under different circumstances he could have been a great coach, as I said he was 15 points clear of celtic when we went into admin. He was succesful as walters number 2 so he obviously had something about him. The man is a rangers legend, always has been and always will be. Show some respect!

03 Nov 2017 15:12:42
Ally's percentage is nothing to be disgraced about under the circumstances. In fact it was pretty damn good. @coldo I agree with you.

02 Nov 2017 08:35:42
I feel at this moment in time we need to play it safe with a manager and by that I mean, a manager that has proven himself in the spl and that has to be DM. Yes there are better managers out there, and yes they may have better contacts for players, but 3 players we need are already in the spl, walker, mclean and moult. DM has enough star power to bring them. Having experience in the english leagues doesn't mean they can handle the spl. The goldfish bowl of glasgow is not something everyone can adjust to.
We all want to be winning the league and winning cups. But at the moment I don't think we need a manager coming in with ANOTHER football philosophy that the clubs needs to learn and play by. We need a manager that just does his job.
So for me it has to be DM.

02 Nov 2017 13:36:55
You achieve nothing in life by having the play it safe attitude.

02 Nov 2017 14:24:35
We didn't play it safe with the Warbs appointment, unproven new manager, that didn't go well. We didn't play it safe with the Pedro appointment, unproven manager, that really didn't go well.

02 Nov 2017 15:15:19
Get knocked down try again why just go for avage joe in McGinnis because it's safe when really there is every chance he could turn Out to be a bad appointment to. you never know in football but I would just like to see us be more ambitious than him and go for a bigger name who has experience at at a higher level if it fails least we have showed some ambition.

03 Nov 2017 12:02:59
Spot on

02 Nov 2017 08:23:18
So why should we have dm as new manager do not back this move at all

02 Nov 2017 10:49:16
who do u want then? and why

03 Nov 2017 12:03:23
Why would we look anywhere else? He's sitting a point behind the manks with a fraction of their budget. He knows our club and the expectations of our fans, he knows the opposition, he signs guys suited to our league which is something we haven't done well since we returned to the spl and he is a good man manager and tactically sound. Should have appointed him in March, just hope he doesn't knock us back as we are an utter shambles

01 Nov 2017 22:44:20
the final choice MUST come from

McInnes
McLeish
McCall

any one of those will do for me.

Dont even need to question WHY.

02 Nov 2017 06:04:42
Ritchie2,like everyone on here you deserve your opinion pal! We all have different opinions on manager's we would want for the famous glasgow rangers! I personally think we need to be aiming higher than your 3 choices mate! Derek mcinnes, like i've stated on here is a good manager, but i believe there's better candidates out there! Big red who i rated and loved as our manager in the early noughties, has had his time and a very fruitful time at that, i don't think we should be looking back! Stuart mccall is of a very similar standard to mcinnes, but again is a good manager but again there's better we should be aiming for! My own personal 3 would be-1.Sam
Allardyce,2.Harry redknapp/ chris coleman and 3.Don't care what anyone says, wee billy davies! If anyone continues with ie. mcinnes or mccall is better than davies then i advise them to compare their CV'S! The very successful records that wee davies holds down there within the english championship, still stand to this day! With several different clubs as well! Don't take my word for it check it out for yourselves!

02 Nov 2017 08:08:33
Was agreeing with you up to the point you started to loose the plot with Billy Davies. Forget his CV he’s a bam, comes across like a ned.

NO NO NO!
Would love Harry total class, however maybe too late now.
Sam will go to Everton
De Boer needs a lifeline and so do we could be the perfect timing.

02 Nov 2017 08:10:48
Davies and mccall no thanks

02 Nov 2017 08:47:39
harry redknapp would set us back years. he's destroyed most of the clubs he's been at.

02 Nov 2017 09:08:07
Harry redknapp destroys clubs you say bigandy2310?I've never read the most biggest, pile of mince for ages! Have you just arrived from the moon? Harry (houdini) redknapp has been superb at most clubs he's managed! God, some folk!

02 Nov 2017 12:35:51
id love the likes of harry but that just won't happen and i'd like to see mcinnes in as i think he will make a name for himself at our magnificent club

02 Nov 2017 13:09:10
It has to be big Eck for me Murty as his number 2 learning the ropes to take the job himself in about 2 and a half seasons Eck would steady the ship knows the score at Rangers an would be a good man for Murty to learn from, it would cost anything upfront to get him in and he is of a far higher pedigree than Derek McInnes

02 Nov 2017 13:42:50
redknapp was awful at Birmingham this year. he has been relegated with Southampton and brought QPR and Portsmouth into financial meltdown.

He quit QPR when the going to tough because he had sore knees.

He also doesn't take training and hires highly paid coaches to do it for him.

he would also demand a load of cash to spend which I wouldn't goive him because his dealings in the tranfsre market are atrocious. mind you, at least we already have Krankjar.

hes also 70 year old, he's not up for the challenge.

However, it doesn't matter, he wouldn't move this far up the uk.

02 Nov 2017 17:01:40
question for coops11 why has billy Davies not been at a club for 3 years? why did Kilmarnock and hearts reject him? if he is that good? and there is a new job down south just about every week yet he’s syill unemployed? if he got the rangers job {which he won’t}it would be a shocking appointment.

02 Nov 2017 19:51:18
Your questions are easy to answer laudrup1!Firstly, billy davies was NOT rejected by kilmarnock or hearts mate! In fact in both instances davies was both clubs no.1 choice as well as st. mirren further back! Remember davies said that it was out of courtesy that he spoke to kilmarnock and St. mirren but he himself drew out because he thought that both clubs weren't big enough for him! Regarding hearts mate if you cast your mind back he wanted full running of the club from top to bottom! Ann budge said they had a structure they believed in and davies pulled out of becoming their manager! Can you not remember budge actually praising davies to the hilt and said the blueprint he had for his hearts project, was quite superb but she wasn't allowing at this particular time, anyone tearing up their time spent structure and starting again! Regarding english jobs, davies has been overlooked down there as he's fighting a legal case against a particular individual, who spouted absolute lies regarding davies! This individual told other clubs owners and chairman not to go near davies accusing him of all sorts! Davies in a recent interview with mcdermott of the daily record, said he was very close to winning his case! So laudrup1,hope that answers your questions on billy davies mate and quells you and a lot of others perception of him!

02 Nov 2017 20:59:44
Why do so many people on here go on about Allardyce? The man has stated, he's not interested in managing at club level again, sacked by engurlund for being an a*se as well. Even if he would, not for me!

03 Nov 2017 12:04:58
Redknapp has done a great job at most of the clubs he's been at. Maybe too late now but a great manager in his time.

03 Nov 2017 12:11:34
Supercoop, Mcinnes is the best shout. He knows the club, the league, what players are needed for this league, he has a proven track record in the league.
