must hand it to Stubbs, he doesn't half annoy me, but he is honest and has backed Halliday. Nice to see a manager who doesn't just disagree for the hell of it!

31 Dec 2015 03:54:45
I've always quit likes Stubbs tbh. I have never had one problem with the guy even through all the years he played for that mob. He is a decent enough guy doing his best for his team. He is a good manager and his team plays good football. If only more managers took his stance and be a bit more honest about their own players when they're in the wrong, then the better our game would be for it. I would like to see Warbuton deploy the same stance if one of our players were at the madam one day. Haliday was not entirely innocent either. His reaction was just not needed. Fyvie totally disgraced himself so that's all that maters.

Blue bear Steve I have to disagree with u on that one mate. The constant anti rangers bile coming out of Stubbs's mouth this season has been embarrassing. Even after the game he gave some glass half full/empty analogy trying to defend Fyvvies actions. Probably someone higher up told him to change his tune I believe. When Lafferty did it Walter Smith fined him, made him issue a public apology and I would imagine he probably went through him like a ton of bricks for it. As I said in an earlier post the quicker we get away from this supposed rivalry with hibs the better, they are trying to drag us down to their level. Thankfully our managers respectful ways rub off onto our team and we rise above it all.

I'm with you on this one recbob, the bile against our great club that comes out of hibs manager alan stubbs mouth is way over the top imo. stubbs is only now trying to play down what he said about rangers because his mob were soundly beaten by us and he's now trying to retract, big stubbsy has got a massive goose egg all over his face!

He should take lessons off our very clever, dignified manager mark warburton, who conducts himself superbly! Warbs is what I expect of a glasgow rangers manager and I'm over the moon to have him as our manager and may he be here for many years to come!

Would love to see a Albertz type player, we do so much passing around opposition box that it we be nice to see someone with a dig in them and have a pop now and then what do you think guys?

31 Dec 2015 16:30:21
Couldn't agree more I think if we get a dm player in and haliday could move forward more and have a few more shots during the game. I also think if you have a player that can score from outside the box teams start to recognise this defenders rush to shut then down which leaves gaps for runners and through balls.

30 Dec 2015 21:18:53
The tackle on Andy was far worse than the shoulder barge, well done to the SFA for acting so quick, let's move on and hope this is finished with .
But don't like the point we are reported for the sectarian singing one, hope it's not a case of let you of with this one but doing you with this!
We have plenty of songs to get the atmosphere going guys but for some reason the billy boys is not one so let's take heid .

31 Dec 2015 10:59:27
It's a good chant, just change a few words get the nonsense out and it's done, wtf is the problem. Football is all about banter, wind ups, taking the wee, lose that and we turn into robots. To be honest there is not a song that the Celtic sing that offends me at all, it's part o their history, make up and all that, most celtik and gers fans are 90minute bigots but they don't know it or refuse to accept it, I know plenty celtik fans who hate, and I mean hate the gers for 90mins then then are back to normal, we are the same, to much PC going on and it's an rasy fix done in a positive sensible manner.

30 Dec 2015 15:54:40
looks like our midfield maestro will get his red reduced to a yellow . I know i'm taking stick here but still think a wild swing wi the boot in retaliation is at least a yellow. and well done to the sfa for the cheats 2 matcher. deecee.

30 Dec 2015 19:53:22
The kick alone is a red card.

30 Dec 2015 20:27:44
Watch it again, he doesn't kick out at him, he's trying to get his balance, there where nothing in it, just glad we went on to win right enough, cause he'd a been to blame for reacting, which he shouldn't have! Yellow card max that was.

30 Dec 2015 23:08:02
He did kick him it's clear for all to see petulant kicks to bigger players than halliday gave resulted in red cards Beckham and Gascoigne to name a couple it was a moment of madness from both but feel both should have the punishments as they stand just now?

30 Dec 2015 15:20:07
Hibs' Fraser Fyvie handed two-match ban for feigning injury at Ibrox.

Halidays appeal won't be heard till jan 7th.

30 Dec 2015 21:17:52
Still free to play though.

30 Dec 2015 14:25:05
Just a heads up guys, i live near Dumbarton and the weather has been terrible, from what i hear the putch is a big, and surrounding areas flooded, just hope this clears up for saturday, would hate to have a break after that performance, would be good to keep the positive mood flowing.

30 Dec 2015 16:20:42
Better cancelled than playing on a mudheap. That would be a great leveller.

30 Dec 2015 08:32:37
Lafferty got a 2 game ban for cheating let's see if the sfa treat Fyvie the same. I'd doubt it though.

30 Dec 2015 15:12:07
Fyvie received and accepted a two game ban for simulation. Assume this can only help Andy, s appeal.

30 Dec 2015 17:08:31
Hooly, the guys a cheat for definite, and even his 2 match ban is lenient, imagine it had happened in our box, I know it never, but if he was willing to cheat in midfield he would be willing to cheat in the area IMHO, disgaceful .

30 Dec 2015 18:49:54
Surprised to see they have moved quickly on Fyvie. Well done! Just wondering if Bobby Madden says the sending off was for the kick out then Halliday ' s red card will stand?

30 Dec 2015 19:32:21
I expect Halliday's red card to stand. While I feel it should be reduced to a yellow they will consider both the attempted kick and the shoulder barge, neither of which were warranted. If he gets the red card rescinded he will be a lucky boy.

In any event let's hope that we have signed a quality holding midfield player before the 7th January which will lessen the loss of Halliday if his red card stands.

30 Dec 2015 20:20:41
Think the kick will result in the red card standing and the appeal will be unsuccessful. Don't know why Halliday had to kick Fyvie. The game was won and we could have scored one or two more. His actions were stupid and put us under unnecessary pressure.

30 Dec 2015 21:11:19
He was sent off for the "headbutt" not the kicking out.

30 Dec 2015 21:18:22
Halliday has no case to answer whether it's was a kick out or not the refs match report states he got sent off for a headbut which everybody nos it wasn't. that's what the charge is for. they can't add to that really it's a waste of everyone's time and money as it will get throne out straight away. But take a second to think of the ramafications if we drew or lost because of that. a thought the ref had a poor match but got to say he is blameless on that decision cause he got conned and maybe thought fifvie had a black eye but it was his cheap mascara running.

107 spot on could have cost us points.
