I don't know about other rangers supporters but I actually think that coventry city manager steven pressley would be a good appointment as the next rangers head coach/manager as has done a decent job at coventry with practically no resources and gives youth a chance in a style of attacking football, pressley is maybe just what we need at this particular time ie. a young upcoming coach who is good with youth and would excel in a new system with a technical director above him overseeing everything else, what do you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

J r hopeless would not do

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance, no ex Celt ever as a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Jr, I'm with you in as much as a new coach, fresh ideas is needed. His previous would not make him a popular choice but I could care less who he supported or played for. If he is good enough then I'm for it. Probably in the minority with that thought though

Laylex can you please explain why an 'ex celt' shouldn't be our manager?

Kenny miller has been welcomed back twice at Ibrox and he played for Celic. Its not the fact that Elvis has played for us and Celic that's the problem. He's just not the answer.

Is the current manager not an ex Celt

@2) would you not welcome David Moyes mate if he was lured to Ibrox in the future.

evening troops. I can honestly say I've not been looking forward to a Rangers game this much in YEARS! I really really believe we can put one over them, guys like mculloch and Miller even Boyd have old firm experience and I think they will be the go to guys from the rest of the squad, Sellik seem to think it's a foregone conclusion but they haven't played against a team that's wants to gub them with every inch of their being. like AC/DC say

STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!!

COME ON RANGERSSSSSS

Sadly we don't have a team who are capable of that pal, I really fear for two down in mins, no shape, no style and no players, I pray I'm wrong, but for the first time ever I have decided to work on Sunday, I will sky plus in case its decent, I wish I could scream come on the gets, but I don't think we have real gets men listening, please god I'm wrong

I know your right but big Marv said keep beleiveing : )

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon bears, as I said previously. On paper they should win comfortably but, the game is played on grass and all it takes is a couple of their team off form (and that is not a pipe dream if you have seen some of their performances) the Gers being up for it, Broony losing his nut, as he does and who knows? I did not expect them to beat Barcelona and this current team is nowhere near that good. anyone's game this. And, as underdogs (can't shy away from a top division team playing a team from a lower division) less pressure. I hope a great game and supporters behave themselves. (Don't need anymore negative publicity, club fines, suspensions etc)

Agree0 Disagree0

Password though I won't be at the game I would like to tell those going to watch your selfs, be carefully before and after the game, I say again watch your safety and look out for your fellow bears, hoping yous all return home safe and well, ps with a victory I hope, c'mon the bears.

This week-end, and the way we conduct ourselves are critical for the future of our club. I worry that the frustrations of the last few seasons will overcome us. I was going to use the term sensibility, but unfortunately that does not exist on an old firm day. Walter Smith correctly referred to laxatives not being necessary this Sunday, but this nervous energy can be used by our experienced players to get us a result. Even if we win, one swallow does not a summer make, but the reciprocal is true, a defeat is not the end of the world. Our cup final, this season, will take place on, or about, the 2nd. March and we must try to remember that.
I won't be at the game and I won't even watch it on the box, but as I take my grandaughters a wander, avoiding any chance of getting updates, my stomach will be churning. I used to think, as you get older, your passion for our team reduces, but I can assure you it does not. As wee bill says we might be more cynical, but never doubt our loyalty.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Serious world wide interest. From LA to Melbourne this game is catching the football imagination. I hope the rumours of a pitch invasion are just Gallus media chit chat. I really hope the players put on a show. Good luck Bears.

I know the talk on here is Ashley, King, EGM etc, but on the football side the excitement is building nicely!

Lots of people need to have words rammed down their throats!

Come on Gers!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just remember it is only one game though. The most important thing is to gain control of the club, or at least get a size 10 in the door. Hers's one who won't be watching any of it.

Ive now got 4 days off, the champagne is on ice, I've even told the wife she's more than welcome to go out and burn the plastic on Sunday while the match is on. I've been bricking it for a while about this match, but the closer it's getting I'm getting a wee bit more confident about it, I've just got a feeling this is the day, Rangers players become heroes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im glad you have that feeling mate, my stomach is churning already, lol!!

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you base your confidence on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Am feeling confident the closer it gets aswell, there managers mentality for a start, seems to thinks he's already win it judging by comments made, corn muttons comments aswell the players know there massive underdogs, but comments like that will get noticed in the dressing room, hopefully they come out with a bit of fire and bite!

Agree0 Disagree0

Royal blue are u gipsy rose lee with the crystal ball in dsguise

Agree0 Disagree0

BIGWULL. i'm an optimist mate, I know on paper and the way we've played this season that lot should win at a cantor, but I don't think it's going to be as one sided as a lot of people think. If we manage to get the first goal selik will panic big time mate. I just think the players will rise up for this game with 21. 000 bears singing their hearts out behind them, and many thousands more across the world willing them on anything can happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gie the ball another rub to see who scores first goal for the sweep

Let's be honest here guys celtic aren't anything special we can win this game if we turn up with passion and a determination to stick all the taunts right up ther ar*es. if hamilton and Ross County can take points at parkhead why can't we win at hampden? The only player I genuinely fear is commons so keep him quiet we have a chance. Let's forget about the board and Ashley for one day and beat these arrogant bust*rds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Absolutely OP. Obviously we are big underdogs but it’s plain crazy to write us off the way that eejit Sutton has just done. Totally disrespectful.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said gingerger! It would be nice to have a day's break from all the off-field c**p! We've nothing to lose. Surely players with Premier League experience like Wallace, McGregor, McCulloch, Law, Miller, Daly and Boyd can turn up? I hope Hutton plays so maybe: Simonsen; Foster, McGregor, McCulloch, Wallace; Hutton; Law, Shiels, Templeton, Smith; Miller. Subs to come on - Daly, Clark, Boyd, Aird, Black. Can't afford to play Black from the start as he'll probably end up getting a red card!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 12:00:26
am I correct in saying bell is almost fit? possibly fit by sunday?

Agree0 Disagree0

No they aren't that special but they don't have awful players like Simonsen, Foster and Hutton. I reckon the team won't be far away from the one mentioned however I do think Black will be in and Shiels out

Agree0 Disagree0

I would loov it! Just loov it! To stick it right up that b$%l end Chris Sutton. would that be the same blindfolds legia Warsaw used to beat dignity f. c. Eh ya person. if ever there was an article written to motivate mcculloch and co then that's it. if we pull off the unthinkable it would take a weapon of mass destruction to wipe my smug grin off my face. c'mon watp

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 08:32:54
I love it when certain ex-players are that silly they come out with statements like Sutton saying that celtic could win wearing blindfolds, Technically that is a a hard one as they would be running around like a bunch of heidless chickens banging into each other as Rangers sneak up one side of the pitch quietly and score fom every kick off making a record score of 73-0 in an old firm derby.
Joking apart it is so stupid as now we know one thing for 100% certain what headline will be pinned up in the dressing room. I am not being naive and saying now we will win but I imagine the players will be wanting to shove that statement down Suttons throat.
I have been praying no Rangers players come out with statements that we will beat them it is 11 against 11! A shock win is our best hope, their arrogance and complacency is our best hope

So come on Gers keep qeiet and on Sunday go out and make us all proud to be Rangers fans and beat them 1-0

The man is a midden,he played like one and he still talks like a corner boy.No class.I won't be at the game,it will be the fifth Celic game I've missed since 69.
I personally have never seen any heart shown from this Rangers side, but if they do on Sunday, that will do for me.Anything else is a bonus.

Agree0 Disagree0

Played like a midden. are you sure you went to the Old Firm games when he was playing? I wonder if the statement form Konterman winn be added to the list of stupid ex players opening their mouths without thinking! just waiting on wee Nacho coming out with his tuppence worth, must be due.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 10:26:47
That man should keep his mouth shut, now he says mass exodus will take place at half time as Celtic will have the game tied up by then. Sorry Chris are you remembered as as some kind of legend? No wait were you just Shearer and Larssons set sidekick? that's right you were always the lump of wood used for winning headers because you couldn't dribble down your bib son.

30 Jan 2015 11:00:49
I think we can do it, I think we are more organised under McDowell. I hope Templeton gets to play nice wide park hampden would like to see him run with Miller at that Celtic defence. Kyle Hutton has the hardest job keeping Brown quiet. Take Brown out the game they can't link up their play. I would rather Jig played holding in front of the defence and play Zaliuskas with MCGreogor at the back. I would rather S Smith did'nt start. Play compact in the middle of the park make them work the ball in from the wings, be very disappointed if we lose due toa direct run at goal.

30 Jan 2015 10:45:45
@3 So you were watching the same Old Firm games as me mate?At least you know a dud when you see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont rise to the bait let the result do the talking if we get one

Agree0 Disagree0

That is a bit unfair guys. Remember, Sutton all gave us a good laugh with his greeting face after we beat Dunfermline 6-1.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 12:42:04
He still maintains to this day Dunfermline lay down, even though they scored first and had a go.I'd expect that from the likes of Sutton in the direct aftermath of the match, but the same bleating speil after all these years is a disgrace.A bitter hate filled idiot of a man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sutton is what he always was a petulant child with zero respect for his fellow professionals it would be good to see him shut up and after Rangers win 1-0 they all put blindfolds on and take the piss out of him

Dunfermline made it 1-1,I thought they scored first. It will happen to you all when you get aulder.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone really care what he says?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sutton Ffs he was on the ground more often than the ball, rolling about like a big wane, never fell playing in defence, but when up front fell over if anybody looked at him. one of the biggest cheats ever to play in our wee country.
