Wabara could be signing for Rangers permanently (2-3 year deal) in the next few days, IF he has a successful trial. Looking likely

Don't want to sound negative but i'm getting the feeling that there are not going to be that many more senior squad signings. We've got a good young squad ready to develop but are still missing the experienced (not veterans) pros as promised. Is DK waitin for the season tkts sales to improve? Is he going to invest like he said he would? W&W are confident enough to arrange a game with Burnley, who will beat us as we stand currently. Is he over confident of his management capabilities, or does he know that 2 or 3 good players are on their way.? just wondered what everyones take on this is?

At last someone brings a dose of reality thanks smrfc. We are scraping together a team from rejects and dressing it up like MW is the new Fergie and will have us like Man U youth team from 90s. These bairns (Wilson apart) are not new investment just wages from the duds we let go. We want new money DK PROPER DOUGH put your money where you're mouth is. Stranraer Loyal want to keep the faith but need some fireworks not damp squids so far.

No wonder were in a state when so called fans are having a pop at each other. Yous forget Lafferty winning us the league in 2011. 93 points and that manky Lennon was sick I was at Kilmarnock. Steven Davis also a legend and jumped ship canna blame them they saw the writing on the wall

What's scoring against Celtic go to do with it? That man deserted the club and for a lot of his tenure at the club he was an embarrassment. King Kyle indeed!

Goin back to the original post, if I may. Check out the 1st team squad on the official site, add wilson & keirnan plus a couple of the youth pros. Ask yerself will that team win the championship? Bottom line is we need min 3 decent experienced players. We need to win the league in good time to experiment with the youths, so next summer is refining the squad for the spl.

Can you please explain me questioning your name has got us in the state we are in? Also lafferty didn't win us the league he was part of a team that won us the league. Finally all of them who jumped ship aren't legends and many fans do blame them and resent them.

Think you need some Sudocrem for your sensitive skin mate. I try to make a serious point about DK and his deeds matching his words but you just ask if I'm for real because of a username. Like the other boy says different fans like different players. I want new players to like and come on here to hopefully get exited about big names turning up at Murray Park but there nobody's. Just getting a hard time from rugby types like you and even ma brother now because he says My grammar isn't the best!

King kyle your original post is laughable mate. We are in a league where we shouldn't have to spend money. Let's give it a week or so and see what happens. The players have only been back training for 3 days so obviously W and W had to see what they were working with. I've done plenty research on Wabara, foderingham, halliday and all 3 would be a massive improvement from last year with the added bonus they are young and hungry. Anyone who thinks we will go out and sign players for a million or 2 is either stupid or is having a laugh.

Give the management team time to work it out and I'm sure come the opening day of the season we will have a team strong enough to win the league whilst playing a decent standard of football.

I get the feeling you do not know what you are talking about

Management 2 weeks in the door and the official transfer window OPENING isn't till 1st July ffs

It doesn't SHUT till 31st August but you "get the feeling" we won't sign any more senior squad players

Some people seem to just type and post on here with no thought put towards what they are posting

Agree5 Disagree4

01 Jul 2015 04:47:34
Seriously

You lot are aware that the signing window OPENS today the 1st of July

It doesn't CLOSE till the 31st August.

Management has been in place a couple of weeks and on top of the top 2 signings so far we are looking at 3 other players at Murray Park and I am sure the Warburton and Weir network of contacts are working on countless other avenues to sign players in Scotland and England, plus likes the Spurs kid Winks we are probably going to sign up a few loanees and Bosmans.

We have 8 weeks of signing window to go and 4 weeks before we have to play in the mickey mouse Petrofac Cup, promotion is all we are really bothered about if we are honest, so please all the impatient keyboard whiners give it a rest and support the management, board and the team. it is what fans are supposed to do.

Agree5 Disagree7

01 Jul 2015 06:52:06
Most of the players were still wanted and highly respected by their clubs or wanted by other teams better than us. With that being said the fact that they are even willing to come to the team who finished 3rd in the Scottish championship on trial speaks volumes for their determination to sign up also most of them want astep up in their careers are ambitious because they will be signing to get us up.

I don't honestly know how good they are or even who they are but neither do most of you. Its typical of everyone on here to slate absolutely everything and everyone wait till they have at least played a game for us before they are labled guff, second rate?

Great post KT still plenty time for more signings and warburton has said himself we have to have 2 or 3 experienced players so he knows what's required, this can't be rushed we must be patient after all this is the management team most of us wanted, let's get behind them and support them 100%. keep the faith 🇬🇧

A lot of snipping and s@&t getting stirred. Even when SM came in the dead wood could still not raise their game. Our directors were absolutely correct in there actions regarding contracts . A new manager with different players was exactly what was needed . You need a correct gelling of skill ,work horses , youth and experience . I am not saying this will be a magnifenct Rangers by any means but I do in my opinion think that our new management team are gearing up the team in a better proffesional manner than Allister McCoist. I am enthusiastic about the future of Rangers with the board and the management team we have in place and will look forward till my dying days supporting Glasgow Rangers, the most successful team in Scotland.

Just a thought about the new season, W&W are pretty much putting a brand new team together, how quick are we expecting them to gel and start getting results? I imagine Hibs will be off and running from the start so don't want to be playing catch up all season.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

30 Jun 2015 19:54:35
I think our manager knows what he's doing so I can see him getting the team to jel without the need of a big pre season, I think we have a better squad/manager/fitness regime/mentality than least season so I can see us brushing them off.

30 Jun 2015 20:51:46
Myles, your deluded mate if you think a manager can completely change a team with minimal pre season, and come out all guns blazing.
I admire your optimism, but he is relatively unproven, I'm sure warburton is a decent man, but no one knows how good or bad a manager until he's had at least 1 season

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Jun 2015 20:58:12
I'm sure it will take time look how hibs were at the start of last season but I do have a lot of faith in W&W who In my opinion will get it right like every new team there probably will be teething problems to start with but I'm hopeful it won't take long for the team to settle

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 23:03:06
W+W are doing now what Ally McCoist should have done 3 years ago. This isn't going to be plain sailing but these guys have a plan and ethos that I'm fully buying into. It's going to take time but for the first time in years I feel good and confident about us. If ye want a team to make million £ plus signings then pick a team in the Premiership because that's not us anymore. Rangers then. Rangers now. Rangers forever.

Agree5 Disagree0

01 Jul 2015 00:14:48
No what i'm saying is we will have a proper manager this year. Mccoist wasnt. The coaching sessions now will be a lot more heavy whereas last year weren't challlenging enough.

01 Jul 2015 04:47:05
We are in a mickey mouse league and actually worse in the 2nd tier of a mickey mouse league

Warburton formed a team at Brentford that were 2 games away from the richest league in World Football the EPL

I think if he puts together a team remotely similar to the Brentford one we will win the Championship by March it is that simple he is coming from a league where players are able to control the ball, pass, cross and do so in an exciting style. These things are all new to Scotland as outside of Celtic, Aberdeen and maybe Hearts our teams are a total joke football skills wise and would not survive in the top tier of any European League set up apart from maybe Iceland and the Faroes.

It isn't about what Warburton does in the joke leagues of Scotland what is much more exciting is what I hope he can make us do when we get back into Europe.

We will beat Aberdeen and Hearts relatively easily and I think unless Celtic improve under Delilah we will beat them also by 2017 season.

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Jul 2015 10:24:43
I didn't mean for my post to sound so negative, I am very excited about the future under the management of W&W, I'm also very happy they don't seem to be spending much money on the players as long as they bring in quality. I was just wondering how long are other fans expecting it to take us to start playing good football?
As excited as I am about the future I am also aware that building a team from nothing is a massive job and will probably take a while for players to build an understanding of one another's game etc.

Agree0 Disagree3

30 Jun 2015 19:39:54
Probably not as I think his fee would be around half a million and we seem to be going for bargain basement signings, not that this means Warburton does not have the potential to unearth some gems.

Would love to see Allan at Rangers, not least to deprive our main league rivals of their star player.

Agree1 Disagree1

30 Jun 2015 23:13:18

maybe I am showing my ignorance by not knowing some of names that are coming and going at murray park danny wilson the exception whoes signing has really peased me but I feel we need acouple ball playing middfielders who could be used depending on the opposition and for once kris boyd said sometthing sensible that the chances were not there I know it had been rumoured down here that he may have got another contract for a year because if he gets chances he will score goals but these are only my thoughts but so far other than danny wilson no one has excited me

Believable3 Unbelievable4

30 Jun 2015 14:05:12
Bigwull, did we know Colin Jackson,Derek Johnstone or Davie cooper.these guys went on to become legends for our club.unfortunatley when sourness became our manager we have been spoiled.i think we need to trust mark and Davie.after all the majority of fans on here were demanding that mark warburton became our next manager.contrary to what Celtic fans were saying. as they apparently know everything about "thee most successful team in Scotland". so give them some breathing space to mould the team.

Agree5 Disagree5

30 Jun 2015 15:50:44
well in fact we did know of them I was only saying I certtainly wasnt crtising warburton or weir only saying there has not been much to wet my palletand if the team is to be totally made up of out of contract players I don't think we will be able to give hibs a run for there money again just my thoughts

30 Jun 2015 15:55:54
Think Scott Allan has been identified as the one they want, but a fit Templeton will give us the option of playing him wide or as the "no10". I just hope Nicky law isn't going to be our main midfielder again because he is a chicken.

Mcgregor
Wallace
Zaliukas
Miller

Zaliukas better not be in the frame to get a game never mind captain

Surely with the 2 centre halves signed another young canter half about to be signed then Zalukius is surplus to requirements

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 13:36:46
For me it's Wilson, Wallace is not a leader, nor is
McGregor Zal should be a back up defender at best and Miller better only be warming the bench, I know Wilson is young but he's got experience of being a captain and winning the league and he knows what the club is all about. The other new signings might be good and we might get other good leaders signed but will they know what it really means to play for Glasgow Rangers never mind be captain?

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 11:39:35
Thought Warburton said he will only sign players who have a good chance of getting in the first team.

Does Tom Lang have a good chance of getting in the first team?

Do hope we get Wabara though. What a defence we'll have if he signs with the lads we got already :)

The amount of defenders were linked with, the Bears will have seven at the back.

As for AV showing interest. Who cares. They have stayed in the EPL by the skin of their teeth on occasions.
