Just watched the Southend game young guy called jack payne cracking wee player and out of contract at end of season would be a good addition to the team.

30 Mar 2016 22:17:59
Yeah the guy has a touch of glass, lol, he looked shattered at the end,!

30 Mar 2016 16:38:29
Here's a question, can o, halloran and King play in the petrofact cup final, as the pair haven't played in this tournament then they should be available, does anyone have any details about this, thanks guys and girls.

30 Mar 2016 17:10:00
I don't have info to hand but would surmise yes as would not be cup tied as did not play for another team, they are registered in our squad so I think its a banker on YES.

30 Mar 2016 17:13:44
Yep as far as I know both can and probably will play.

30 Mar 2016 19:48:24
Delboy: Yes they can, Shiels and Templeton signed after Rangers first ever Ramsdens match against Brechin and they were OK.

30 Mar 2016 16:16:40
let's get back to reality I think lads. We're not going to be able to complete for all these Eastern European players due to the fact that majority of them are already being scouted by teams in the premier league. Now let's be honest here, Scottish football has went downhill since we went down (that is my opinion and I am entitled to it) and if your a boy from Easter Europe with a talent in the game, where do u expect him to choose? The BPL? Or the SPL? Yes we are a massive club but we've not been playing in Europe for a good few years now so some of these lads might not recognise our club. Let's just stick to what warburtons opinion instead of acting like the manky mhob and arguing between us. Not one signing has let us down this season look at where we were last season compared to now? We are the people.

30 Mar 2016 17:11:52
Am happy with core British Squad mate, has done us no harm as yet, and a don't see that changing, young hungry boys that can play a bit, good system they are in don't matter were you from if the system good and the players fit they it will, buy British I say!

30 Mar 2016 18:26:00
Jp72 i think most european players will know of our club, regardless of our time outwith euro football,

30 Mar 2016 20:15:44
I'm happy with buying British just now as well. The money in the EPL has forced many a good English player down the divisions because teams are buying in a lot of foreign imports. Look at the Spurs team, all their best players are young English guys who were playing Championship football not long ago, either on loan or for their previous team. Now they're all worth fortunes.
I get the feeling everyone laughing at us for buying guys from Doncaster and Accrington won't be laughing next year. Forrester will score a lot next year after a good pre-season and I'm sure Windass will as well.

30 Mar 2016 14:46:40
Once again I will throw the name of Aaron mooy out there outstanding for Australia again last night, doesn't waste a ball, wins 95% of 50/ 50s, corners, free kicks and goes the full 90 mins this guy is getting touted the now in German leagues and he is at Melbourne just now who man city own do the deal, guy is 1st class.

30 Mar 2016 16:15:33
Don't no anything about him so I'm not going to knock him but they were playing jordan.

30 Mar 2016 19:47:59
Mooy was nothing special at st mirren if I recall.

30 Mar 2016 13:16:10
Rangers transfer policy will be to sign players from SPFL, English Championship (at a push) and English League 1 players that's the financial climate we are currently in. We will also bolster squad with another 2-3 young English Premiership players on loan with Dom Ball and Harry Winks likely additions from Spurs. Warbs is waiting until the 25 men squads are submitted then he will use his contacts and proven track record of yourh player development to complete these deals. We might get someone decent from Liverpool due to Frank McParlands link to the club.
I can only see major cash injection or qualification for Europa league changing this and to be honest Warbs ability to improve young hungry players will be key to taking us to next level next Season.
54.this time next year 55!

30 Mar 2016 16:33:28
Sorry mate but the only people that know what market Rangers will be dealing in is the gaffer and our board, only they know how much money will be made available to warburton and weir, my guess is the same as u, it will be the English leagues were we will get players but as I said it's only an educated guess, I really hope King and co find some extra funding for the summer but only if it doesn't harm our club or we spend what we can afford, but I don't think this board would operate in that manner as they love Rangers the way we all do.

30 Mar 2016 17:16:10
Spot on. At long last we have guys in charge that want the best for the club.

30 Mar 2016 09:21:53
Morning Bears. Just looked at the fixtures coming up. Away to Raith on Saturday and home to Dumbarton next Tuesday. We should win the league by beating Dumbarton next Tuesday night. Don't you think this would set us up nicely to play Peterhead in the Challenge Cup final and win that then there comes the Celtic match. With the league and hopefully Challenge Cup both in the bag the players must surely be up for the Celtic match more than ever with nothing to lose. I know O'Halloran and King are cup-tied but any thoughts on the team for the Celtic match? I fancy Ball to play the holding midfield role and how do you thinkg Kiernan and Wilson will handle Griffiths. Like him or not the guy is a pain in the a**** goalgrabber!

30 Mar 2016 09:45:54
To have it sorted beforehand would be ideal, griffiths will be thw danger as i'm not sure any of them will handle his pace though i'd just stick ball on him like glue for the whole game though i reckon itll be the same for them with us , one thing i can't wait to see is halliday with brown i can see a couple of red cards in it to say i'm excited is an understatement.

30 Mar 2016 12:06:16
I definitely agree, Halliday and Brown will be brilliant, but it will be the right wing battle that will be the most entertaining. Lustig handling Wallace and Mckay? King Kenny wrecking havoc vs their CB's (please pick ambrose delia! )

30 Mar 2016 12:07:55
Yes, sounds like a battle royal there! Also, I think with Barrie Mackay running at their defence it increases the possibility of yellow and red cards for them. I would have loved to see Waghorn battling in their penalty box but maybe King Kenny will have the last laugh.

30 Mar 2016 13:24:43
They will play 4-2-3-1 with full backs pushing on. I think our full backs will sit quite deep with ball protecting the back 4. Our energy middle to front and having 3v3 battles in their final 3rd when at least 1 of their full backs is wrongside of the ball when we break is where we will hurt them.
Their arrogance is what will cost them whereas Warbs will ensure we are tight at the back. Sviatchenko can't handle pace and he's their best defender IMO I think we will play:
Foderingham, Wallace, Wilson, Kiernan, Tavernier
Ball cdm, Holt, Halliday, McKay, Miller, Forrester
In 4-1-4-1 without ball and 4-1-2-3 in possession.
3-1 Rangers for me.

30 Mar 2016 13:26:13
Never thought a would say it as a don't really rate him as a player, but nullify Griffiths and the game should be ours. Or out score him which we are more than capable of with their defence.
I agree, Ball on Griffiths for the 90mins. The rest of the team are toothless, just look at their stats. Pretty grim reading for them without his goals.
On the other hand I hope they double up on McKay. Leaves space for the rest of the team. We have goals throughout this team. Forrester, Miller, Holt, Halliday, Tav and Wallace all capable of grabbing a goal or 2.

30 Mar 2016 15:24:40
Calm down, our back two aren't the best either. Should be an open end to end game. Exciting times. If we tighten up at the back then we have a great chance.

30 Mar 2016 16:17:47
Recbob. more capable of out scoring them with their defence. where does your confidence come from . they play in a higher more competetive league than we do . have scored 4 goals less than us but conceded 1 goal less. considering their opposition to ours i would say their stats trump ours. ovrr confidence will be our fans weakness rather than theirs. arrogance is all yours.

30 Mar 2016 16:49:35
If I had to choose a dm between ball and haliday it would be haliday every time, I think ball gets caught on the football too often and is slow at moving the play on.

30 Mar 2016 16:50:28
Listen people shouldn't underestimate Celtic, they still have good players who will be right up for this game, my concern is we are very lightweight as a team, if we think of old firm games, they are battles that are usually won or lost in the middle of the park and right now we don't have much steel in our team, as a team rangers are great going forward but we're very lightweight and I'm worried we will get bullied off the ball and won't get a chance to play football, but i'm really looking forward to the game to find out how far we've came since last seasons game, it might be 6 months to early but we're going to find out very soon, I just hope I'm totally wrong and we beat them lol.

30 Mar 2016 17:03:00
Johnny a never said we had a better defence. I just said we as a team could out score Griffiths. He's the only one in their team I'm worried about. A few years ago commons was in that category. Whereas we score from all over the team, it's harder to defend against what we do than a one man team like theirs. The stats don't lie they didn't have another player in double figures the last time a checked.
I expect Celtics so called 'muscle' will be passed around. We've done it to every other team from the big bad SPFL and this Celtic team is marginally better than the rest.
I'm confident, not overly confident. I'm well aware they could beat us and in some ways people would say it was expected. I'm just not one of them, they're there for the taking from what I've seen of them.

30 Mar 2016 19:20:16
Recbob. lots on here quote " that defence" but the facts are they concede less than anyone else in a tougher league. and as they have scored 73 i am sure griffiths has scored less than half of them therefore as you said in your reply they also have scorers all around the team
.

30 Mar 2016 19:51:23
I'll judge with my eyes thanks Johnny. And I think the Celtic defence is clueless. They've been found out against any decent opposition they've faced this season.
Don't see how that makes me arrogant.

30 Mar 2016 21:34:02
On the other hand, our defence has been found wanting against lesser teams never mind decent teams. Its going to be a game that's decided by the team that's best organised I think.

30 Mar 2016 23:44:19
It could be a free for all in terms of goals scored that's for certain. If this was a low scoring game I'd be shocked.
