ED, He is part of the under 19squad

Is it true that are after this guy ED ????????celtic have released a 6ft 6 centre half called declan gallagher who has just turned 20 and he is to sign a 3 year deal with rangers

Sky Sports news on Sky channel 405, says that two Premier League clubs have made bids for Craig Mackail-Smith. Any slim chance we had of getting him should be all but dead now, I think.

all of these player are within our wage budget (except viera) and are all on bosman deals :)
as my source told me that ally doesn't want to spend much money in the summer unless the player is value for the money so expect a good few bosman deals and goodwillie for 2.2 million

Gareth Mcauley signed for West Brom as stated before and also Abdoulaye Faye has been at rangers before and was an embarrassment.

Abdoulaye faye was not at rangers before i think youl find it was amdy faye (spelling) that had a rather unsuccesfull loan spell at rangers

what a load of s**te on this page y not just wait and see what happens , its nice to speculate but lets b serious we only have 5m to spend plus what we sell but we will have to sell first #

Its at least 7 mil as we are the only team in cl and rangers and celtic get cash form the spl every season for getting in to cl its not much around 3.5 mil maybe not as much maybe ed can help on the exact amount celtics didint get in so we get its all we still have cl money witch is about 6 mil right away and 4 mil tv rights so its closer to 15 mil this season and them whyte already said if ally need more and he can convince him that he needs it fact so really no 1 know the amount ally has but u can be sure its around 7-8 mil and at least 15 mil if we make it in to the cl grps

Any truth to any of theses rumours ed?!

{Ed010's Note - I am left scratching my head trying to work out whether you are referring to a particular rumour or set of rumours or just all rumours in general. Fortunately, the answer to both scenarios, is exactly the same.

I have absolutely and positively, no magic formula for working out which rumours are true and which are false. Like yourself, I may have opinions on the validity of them but that is all they are, opinions.

Which rumours to linked players do you think are nearer to the mark ?

I'm getting a little sick of us being "rumoured" to be interested in average players in their 30's who I don't believe could bring much to the team. I would much rather see Murray Park graduates such as Cole, Ness, Hutton, Wylde and let's not forget Fleck get prolonged runs in the team under Coisty than buy below average Premiership players who will come up and do a job maybe for two years but then leave. Those two years could be spent nurturing these young talents. . instead of letting them rot on the bench and become disgruntled with life at Ibrox, move on and become stars elsewhere! i.e Charlie Adam, Chris Burke and to an extent Ross McCormack. What do you think ed?

{Ed010's Note - Ed010's Note -Steven, I understand your concerns but remember, Ally McCoist and his team will never, ever listen to rumours and speculation that appears on any website, including this one or any conversations between mates, over a cold beer. Rumours are just that, they are rumours which on some occasions can be quite close to the mark but in the vast majority of cases, so far off that it is laughable.

Your second point is admirable but again is based on the assumption that the rumours are true or could be true. Ally McCoist is Rangers through and through and will be working hard behind the scenes, to secure the services of players that he believes will do a job for him and Rangers. Once he has these players signed up, they will be paraded as Rangers players and then, we will all see the standard of player and perhaps then address, whether they are any better or any worse than the young players we already have on our books.

Ultimately Steven, Ally McCoist will initially be judged on the quality of his signings, even before a ball is kicked in earnest and he won't want to leyt anyone down, especially the Rangers support.

Naismith and Kerkar are leaving in the soon. Steven for big money, Kerkar not so much, if any.
Diouf is not required at Rangers next season, and £15m for McGregor is a joke, if there was a serious offer of £7.5m to £10m with ''extras'' he would go. Rangers need the money, as £25m over 5 years aint a lot. And Alexander is a more than ample replacement, as he showed in the few games he played

{Ed010's Note -Nothing new so far on Ivan Trickovski. I do know that Lokeren (BEL) made a bid of £1m in January of this year but was rejected by Apoel, so if Rangers are interested, it is going to take more than that to secure him. I also agree with you that Trickovski looks a player.

Mr Whyte is not at rangers to invest huge amounts of cash hes here to steady the boat he'll be here max 5-7 years and then sell i would say maybe 10 mil plus cl money first season with most being kept for jan and then 5 mill plus what every we make for the next 5 season but u can be sure Mr Whyte WILL DO HIS UP MOST TO MAKE AT LEST 1 BIG NAME SINGING THIS YEAR but most will be free/loan we have a good team only need Dc/Cm/Mr/SC so 4 max be-four jan with maybe 2-3 in on jan depending on what ally think he need by then

Ans Steven Whittaker is head and shoulders above Bardsley.Did Bardsley score into double digits the last time he was here?Or set up as many goals for others than him?Or stop as many goals going in?I do not think so.Bardsley is well over rated.All he has is pace.

I don't agree with whittaker being better bardsley by far the better defender would rather see whittaker in midfield an the reason he has scored as many is coz he takes pens an that's the only reason

He never took pens when Boyd was here, and he was doing that then.Out scoring Bardsley all the time.And was not always in midfield.In fact he was mainly at right back sometimes left back.He is a better player than Bardsley.When did you see Bardsley go score a super solo effort like against Sporting?It does not happen, the only goals he gets is the odd hammered blasted shot about 3 times a year if he has had a good season.Whittaker has far more skill to.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean has paved the way for Rangers to sign El Hadji Diouf by admitting the winger isn't in his first team plans. Look it up, true. If Rangers want him they can have him I suppose.

{Ed010's Note -In my opinion, we need at least 2 defenders, 2 quality midfielders, a striker and someone on the right wing with a bit of pace.
I think that is the bare minimum that Ally will bring in. Over the last couple of seasons, we have really struggled in the midfield area, there is no one really, with the possible exception of Davis, who can hold the ball up and who is also capable of delivering a defence spliting pass.

What positions do you guys want or see Ally strengthening this summer ?

GK, LB (Papac to CB), RB, CDM, CM, RM/W, ST.

I believe McGregor won't last long, with Alexander stepping in, we need a quality no. 13. 2 decent wing backs with pace and creation should be sought with atleast one centre mid playmaker bieng brought in. A flyer on the right is essential to provide Jelavic and a secondary striker to compliment him. With Lafferty's recent run of good form hoprfully shop windowing him for a potential return to england (prem)

Am thinking an attacker 2 midfeild n if weir n bouggy leave then 2 decent cbs n mabee 1 for the bench as a said earlyer we should get down league 1 n 2 coz in my opinian there sum great bargains to b had but at the end of the day super ally noes more bout wot he want than me so on that note in ally I trust

I would be very surprised if Ally brought Kenny miller back, and here are my 5 reasons why.

1. Rangers would have to pay a fee.

2. He would be on good wages.

3. He is 31, so paying fee, good wages at his age na.

4. The form and link up play of Jelavic, Lafferty, and Naismith in the run in.

5.Rangers need a tall striker, who is good in the air to give us a different option.
I no lie.

They already have 2 tall strikers in Jelavic and Lafferty, what they need up front is pace, to link up with big Jela. Although I wouldn't take Miller back myself, I think it's time we tried someone else.

Jelavic is great in the air so don't know what ur talking about its pace we need an miller has it wid take him back in a heartbeat we didn't get to see much of them 2gether coz of injuries but they will score close to 50 if not more between them lafferty has height but can't head the ball

If David Vaughan Dosen't want to sign for the champions of scotland Rangers. So what i want people with ambition not fighting relegation with sunderland who are in freefall. Not players who think picking up mega wages and EPL staus represent a good football career. A winner would choose champions league football and who realises that rangers and celtic are massive football clubs with huge fanbase and worldwide status and if it wasn't for the income the premiership clubs get every club apart from man utd, arsenal, liverpool, chelsea the rest would be in the shadow of rangers and celtic and when are we going to get the respect we deserve for achieving so must with very little money. Aberdeen digging thier heels in for Foster - they want to much cash.

Never mind the other chat like Vaughan etc - Rangers will make contact with loads of agents during the transfer window. It does not mean they will sign! Be realistic here if you were offered Premiership wages would you take that over the SPL? Of course you would.
