Sorry but too many people on here are letting their severe dislike for Stubbs cloud their judgement. He has won a major trophy in Scotland and until we win one I don't think we can slag anyone off. Hibs have a decent squad and only lost out to Falkirk due to a last minute goal. We didn't exactly wipe the floor with either of the teams.

So he's getting praise for being alright in 1 off cup games but our success in cup games ( W2 D2 L1 ) against SPL teams doesn't count?

We also won the league by 11 points playing rubbish for the last 2 months of the season according to some on here.
Sorry but I'll take Rangers achievement this season over Hibs any day of the week. Promotion was our goal and so was Hibs anything else was a bonus. They've another year in the championship losing there manager and possibly there best player.

Heard the best rumour of the day boys, near choked on my sandwiches then proceeded to piss myself laughing. ibrahamivic may be signing for celtic as he stated he wants to finish his career with them. it's obviously so deluded of the celtic mob who were discussing this and when i questioned it they tried to defend it and say it might happen, lol.

I can see the pull of 40,000 spare seats watching him every second week and how brendan's got the pull of players of his calibre lol. You've got to laugh.

When it comes to a CB I think we should be looking more at a stopper rather than a ball player. All the talk of Bougie is just that, the full backs bomb on its part of our game, we need a defender who will sit in and not go wanders, both Wilson and Kiernan are capable of bringing the ball out and that's part of the problem they are to similar. Bougie falls into that, he brings the ball out of defence.

As to who comes in that all depends on who out of Wilson and Kiernan the gaffer rates more. Wilson being left sided casts question marks over a few of the targets rumoured with Beevers and Ridgewell both being left footed. We probably need to CB as Wilson and Kiernan are the only two recognised CBS in the squad (yes Crooks can play but I don't think that's why he has been bought) Gaspartto has left and Balls loan expired, do we go back in for Ball? If we do I think he would be ahead of what we have already but we would still need an experienced partner for him and there are few free transfers that fit the bill at the moment.

If we have money to spend on transfers it should predominantly be spent on a defender in my opinion, we will always score goals and the midfield looks sorted, yes another centre forward wouldn't go a miss but at the moment the center of defence has to be a priority.

I think we will see crooks at CB as we have signed rossiter and Barton already have Halliday all capable of the holding role! a would agree sign a experienced centre back and also a would like us to get ball back on loan or even better on a perm deal!

Agreed crooks will be centre half, btw I don't know were halliday is going to get a game now, our midfield looks really strong and I think him and holt won't play much next year, shame as both have been great all year.

If you look at the Rangers website, it categorises Crooks as CB and Windass as forward. This is really where these boys play but can play in other positions. So far Warburton has balance to the squad but we need more strength in depth.

When you look at the squad listed so far we are not really overloaded with midfielders.

Yes I saw this today and have seen clips of him play in both midfield and CB and I think he is made for centre back. We will just have to wait and see.

Anyone else's thoughts on if we go for 2 new CB's, maybe spend money for 1 and the other on a free transfer Mark Beevers plus a Columbian CB Bernardo Espioza is a free after leaving Sporting Gijon in Spain.

Cant see Bernardo as he won't be cheap. Apparently on 15k a week in Spain already and has been out with a long term knee injury. Middlesbrough are front runners along with Watford, Everton and Bournemouth so I'd say we would definitely be at the back of the line on that one.

gblue85, didn't notice about the injury, been out since January but I'd still take a chance on him. He might drop a bit in wages never know unless we try.
