Percy's......

Transpires the BBC were right about Whyte and his dodgy corporate dealings (shocker!), surely Whyte will find it difficult to win his defamation case against them now?? Can anyone shed any light on this?

I don't think Whyte's been entirely honest and feel he has duped the supporters!

There may be trouble ahead?!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Miko, we can all read the news pal. Most of us sane Rangers fans knew that the BBC wouldn't air such an accusation without having done their homework. Most successful business men have all tried and failed (usually several times) prior to finally making it. This latest snippet of information will perhaps in a way affect Whytes defamation claim against the BBC but it will not affect Rangers Football club.

ps there is trouble ahead for all members of the SPL. The standard of play and competition isn't getting any better and in a few years European Football will be a distant memory if things keep going they way they are. Btw if i were you i'd be more worried about my jessie 'captain' bricking if from a wee leather ball than Craig Whytes legal issues.

Suggest you watch the programme again thicko xx
Wrong again as usual.

Agree2 Disagree2

Lol, it was a rhetorical question FF, there's no way Whyte will tackle the BBC, it was bull from the start!

Kayal's a wee sh*tebag! Not happy about that, the balls aint even leather these days, showin yer age there FF. Remember Mouldmasters? Now there was a ball you'd avoid, lol.

Who's this nameless chump suggesting I'm "wrong as usual"? Put a name to your post Percy!

Miko

Agree0 Disagree2

FF, you seem to be trying to distance Whyte from your football club. His past dealings are relevant to your club and Whyte's future, past and present, will have an affect on Rangers. Of course it will, how can it not?

Has Whyte made it? How do you know? It's common knowledge that his fortune and reputation appear to be sullied and murky, he was banned from being a company director for 7 years! Obviously for malpractice!

Miko

Agree1 Disagree1

Nothing in that article that we didn't know about. Miko, Whyte is taking the BBC to court because they stated that "he could and should have went to prison" for ignoring the fact he was suspended and continued to be a director of another Company, that is one of the reasons he is taking them to court. did you watch the program ?

Agree2 Disagree1

What on this earth is a percy?

School football on the red ash in december with a mouldmaster, now there is a ball you would duck....K

Agree1 Disagree0

Google it! lol

Miko

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen Percy, I absolutely believe he did, do you not?

Secondly, do you believe he will take them to court? I very much doubt it pal, put it this way, if he doesn't it's an admission of guilt. Don't be so naive ma darlin! Hehe!!

Miko

Agree0 Disagree1

He's copying a guy out of chewin the fat, callin everyone percy

Agree1 Disagree0

Miko - struggling to type your name with my iPad keeps changing it to MUG -nah seriously pal The BBC are shady you only have look at the editing on the McCoist clip to know that - I think Whyte would only need to produce that evidence in court to have reasonable doubt that the beeb have it in for him and the gers

to all Rangers fans, please support the players who wear the jersey, sunday was a bad day at the office,no question, and not for the first time, but, for fans to verbally abuse a player after the game,a step too far,im not big Kirks biggest fan,and no,he is no Cacu, but he plays for the team i love, and deserves respect. We are Rangers.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Is ok for him to play gash then shout at the fans? Give my 5k a week and u can shout anything at me.

Agree2 Disagree0

Is cacu, cafu? or kaka,or cocou? is it cacau? i just dont know but either way i agree about kirk, shouldnt happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

While i admit some people can be a bit OTT in their criticism of certain players, at the end of the day fans are entitled to their opinion. Our players might not be on the same wages as the Man City boys but they are well paid and taking stick is an occupational hazard for a footballer. If the players on the park are underperforming (which they have been) then the fans are well within their rights to get on their backs. I love Rangers as much as anyone and i pay my way but we were 13 points clear and within a few weeks that gap has been cut to four. We have hardly created a chance, we look lethargic and out of ideas from back to front so it needs sorted and sorted quickly. Everyone is entitled to a 'bad day at the office' but we haven't been at the races for the last few weeks and there hasn't been any signs of improvement as of yet.

Follow Follow

Agree1 Disagree0

Aye, but voicing your opinion during the game or on a forum is fine. Surrounding a players motor with his family in it is something entirely different. You cannae got about squaring up to folk just cos they're sh1te at football. The same can be said of the tubes that attacked Stokes hoose and Laffertys car. I mean, seriously, it's football! hardley worth causing distress to a pregnant lassie.
Some folk are just pathetic, sad wa**ers!

Baybear

Agree3 Disagree0

Our squad may not be the most gifted in footballing ability but there is no excuse for lack of fight, determination and pure hard graft, half these guys do not get out of second gear or even get their shirt dirty after 90 mins, our midfield will not support the forwards by making runs over the halfway line and we all want to pass the ball back or sideways, ok rant over come on the bears on saturday

Can anyone remember the time Stevie Smith ducked out of a shot in a old firm game? Not to sure if it's when Alex McLeish or Paul Le Guen that was in charge but I remember Ally McCoist saying that a player should never duck out of a shot on goal. Ally tore him to ribbons in the papers. As soon as Sir Walter Smith and Ally took over Stevie Smith never got his contract renewed and left the club.

Our best starting 11.....
Shagger
Mcmillan Goian Boca Papac
Whitts Davis Ness Aluko
Jela Lafferty

Positive team I think. Get Whitts out of defense and give Mcmillan a shot.

A fit Ness in the team would work wonders!

People bashing Aluko but for someone so long out the game I think he's looked pretty good and positive!

If it's not working got the option of Bendicksen on the wing, Bartley in defense, Mckay in midfield and stick Fleck or Healy on.

Not world beaters but with a bit of positivity can easy keep on trouncing the unwashed ones!

Celtic get 5 million for Europa win lose or draw

What did rangers make last night in Germany ?

Lenny

Celtic fans have led us to believe they have 5 or 6 10 million pound players in there team I don't see 1 I'd pay 3 million for.

Agree3 Disagree2

And your mob are playing who tonite?rangers are that desperate for cash they have to play friendlies, how much did you get for that money spinner last nite?think you will find that celtic do deserve to be there lad,why dont sion and rangers start a love in,one plays guys who shouldnt play and the other mob defraud the taxman, marriage made in heaven.

Agree1 Disagree2

REF Celtic fans have led us to believe they have 5 or 6 10 million pound players in there team I don't see 1 I'd pay 3 million for.

Do you or your club have 3million to spend lol ?

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree1

Usual Tim Lenny taking about money use seem to be more interested in how much money u earn, remind me how many league titles have u win in last 3 years, u will never get 5 million from this Europa run

Agree2 Disagree0

I know Lenny, absolutely pathetic response you sad wee man. Its all about the football and I aint denying we are financialy screwed you donkey! I admit it doesnt look good but we are still top of the league and have won it the last 3 years! Who needs money eh! I tend to look on the bright side of life! PS kayals pish! And no to the other poster you dont deserve to be there because you were not good enough, just like Rangers.

Raab

Agree1 Disagree0

Well lets see

mcgregor 2.5 million
whittaker 750000
goian 400000
bocanegro 250000
papac 500000
davis 2 million
edu 500000
jelavic 5 million
lafferty two sweeties

so whole team worth about 12 million tops and before you moan about the valuations. mcgregor i believe would command no more than 2.5 he was up for sale for 3 year and nobody was interested.

davis - there im being generous

jelavic - never mind the 9 million bids and all that crap- i bet he goes for no more than 5 million.

Agree1 Disagree3

So Raab you know the rules of football better than UEFA do you?Didn't see you answering questions about work permits for your Brazilian tie up earlier????And if Kayal is pi5h what is Davis,Edu,McCulloch,Broadfoot...........

What What What Speak English Boy lmao.

Lenny the £5m includes if Celtic had a sell out for each game. Plus Won every game in the group. I think for a win in the group stages every club receives £2.50. Lol.

Not good enought raab? Sorry 'wee man' end of the day sion shot them self in the foot hence why we are playing in Europe

Top the league the now but remember it was only a few weeks ago it was 12 & the league was over, 8 days & 8 points later & it's down to 4 & it's only November. Let's see how good rangers will be when jelavic goes in jan

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenny according to u lot at the start of the season the league would be over by Xmas, u putting it back a bit, mystic Lenny can see into the future he says jelavic isn't going be here in Jan

Agree0 Disagree0

I know exactly why your in europe Lenny ya tool! Just saying u aint good enough. Yeah Rangers are playing friendlies and you lot are playing in europe. Is that meant to annoy me? haha It would have if you qualified like a real team. But you didnt so be ashamed! All you go on about is us losing Jela and our cash situation blah blah blah. Pinning all your hopes on that aye? Maybe, just maybe you will win the league but i doubt it as Celtic have no bottle and you know it.

A Statement By Our Great Whyte Knight Chairman

WHEN I became the majority shareholder and Chairman of this great football club in May this year, the sense of honour and privilege I felt was overwhelming. Those feelings are stronger than ever within me now.

First, I would like to address what matters most to every Rangers fan - football. In recent years the performance of the players and the football management team has been quite magnificent and I would suggest their achievements rank among the Club's greatest.

Three successive League titles, three out of the last four Scottish League Cups, plus two Scottish Cups and a UEFA Cup Final appearance is extraordinary by any standard and set the seal on Walter Smith's outstanding second term as Manager and a truly remarkable managerial career. Every Rangers supporter owes him an enormous debt of gratitude.

Walter also left the Club in good hands and Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall and Ian Durrant are showing the same tremendous drive for success. All of us wish them - and the players - continuing success this season.

In May, the Club entered a new era both on and off the pitch. Whilst this Statement covers the 12-month period ending on 30 June 2011, it also affords us the opportunity to look forward.

I am the first to recognise the contribution that my predecessor as majority shareholder, Sir David Murray, made to Rangers over 20 years. With any change in ownership, however, there will be a change in approach and I firmly believe the changes I have implemented will be in the longer-term interest of the Club, which must always come first.

We have a new Board. In addition, we have appointed a new Chief Operating Officer to drive the business forward and take advantage of emerging opportunities and a Director of Football, whose role is to help Rangers maximise every opportunity to develop, attract and retain playing talent, as well as ensure the Club engages productively with football authorities at domestic and international level.

Perhaps the biggest change that has been effected since the takeover in May has been the repayment of all bank borrowings. The Club is no longer reliant on bank funding, nor does any bank control our operations on a daily basis.

I hope fans would share my view that, looking ahead, the Club should do everything to live within its means and operate on a commercially viable basis. I firmly believe that is the only sustainable, long-term strategy for Rangers.

Performance on the field has a direct bearing on the Club's business performance. Participation in the UEFA Champions' League remains important although increasingly difficult to achieve given the qualification process for the SPL champions.

During 2010/2011 we qualified for the UEFA Champions' League and played in the UEFA Europa League. Turnover at £57.2m for 2010/11 was an overall increase of £0.9m over the previous year.

Gate receipts and hospitality sales increased overall by £1.3m to £27.1m, due to the extra European games, although there was an overall reduction in season ticket sales, hospitality sales and sponsorship revenue.

Net operating expenses increased by £3.6m to £47.5m reflecting increased salary levels, higher European fixture costs and operational cost increases across the business.

The Club remains embroiled in historical tax issues with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, primarily the tax tribunal on Employee Benefit Trusts. It has been a dark cloud hanging over the Club for far too long and any resolution must enable the Club to move forward.

Rangers has never been short of challenges in recent years and there is no question there are many challenges ahead for both the Club and Scottish football in general.

However, I am certain that, as a Club, we can rise to these challenges and deliver success both on and off the pitch. That is what Rangers is all about.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters who have offered me so much encouragement. Your support for the Club is inspirational and I can only promise to ensure that the interests of Rangers and our fans will be at the heart of everything I do as Chairman.

NDIAN trialists Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhlua took part in a bounce game at Murray Park today with Ally McCoist and Kenny McDowall taking in the action.

The I-League stars played in opposing teams and it was Chhetri's side, wearing white, that came out on top.

After a goalless first-half a sliding finish from the impressive Lewis MacLeod broke the deadlock and it was not long before the central midfielder made it 2-0 with a powerful, low drive from 25 yards.

Kamil Wiktorski pulled one back for the Reds, firing home from six yards, after excellent wing play from Kal Naismith who is currently on loan to part-time Cowdenbeath until January.

But throughout the game all eyes though were on Chhetri and Lalpekhlua and both worked hard and were clearly out to impress despite the wet and blustery conditions at the training ground.

The strikers will now travel back to India tomorrow having enjoyed their trial period with the SPL Champions.

Rangers' director of football Gordon Smith is currently in Brazil, as part of a Scottish trade delegation, negotiating a possible link up with Corinthians.

So could we see a few Samba stars strutting their stuff at Ibrox in the near future?

I'd imagine work permit issues would be an obstacle to that mate
dmrangers

Agree2 Disagree1

There are ways round that, i have worked with and known a few brazilians and many of them have or are entitled to have portuguese or italian passports from the colonial days, thats why there are so many playing in europe, they cant all be in the national team

JG {Ed001's Note - if they can get them I agree, but it is not always that easy, which is why so many end up in the Portugese or Italian leagues.}

There is a total of 585 Brazilian football players playing in the European major leagues.
JG {Ed001's Note - that is because other countries make it easier to get work permits, unlike the UK.}

Ed you may have missed my point, if they have portuguese or italian or any european passport, they do not need work permits for the uk

Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty is in line to make the squad to face Dunfermline on Saturday after receiving positive news about his back injury.

The forward was substituted during Rangers’ match at Rugby Park on Saturday after suffering a muscle spasm.

Lafferty was left out of the squad that flew to Hamburg for a friendly on Tuesday and instead had a scan on the injury. Rangers have now announced that there is no serious concern.

If the player proves his fitness in training he will be included for the squad for the Scottish Premier League fixture at Ibrox this weekend.

Rangers Ally McCoist had said on Tuesday that the scan was a precaution to assess the player and revealed that Lafferty was one of several players in his squad with what he described as "niggling" injuries.

Carlos Bocanegra, Alejandro Bedoya and Nikica Jelavic are all expected to overcome knocks in time to face Dunfermline.

whittaker goian boconegra Wallace

aluko Davis Naismith whylde

lafferty jelavic

Campbell

Agree3 Disagree2

As soon as I see Wylde in anyone's "best team" it becomes void in my opinion. He is very very overrated. His crossing is terrible, he struggles to take men on, plays with his head down and regularly picks the wrong option. He has pace but doesn't even use that to his advantage. Simply not good enough.

For me, our best team would be...

McGregor

Whittaker Goian Bocanegra Papac

Davis Edu Ness Naismith

Fleck

Jelavic

Picking Fleck may raise some eyebrows, but the lad has ability and hasn't had a decent run in the team since he returned from his hamstring injury round about this time last year. If he had as many chances as Wylde has had then I'm sure he would have become 10 times more productive. A lot of pressure been on him, and when he doesn't live up to this ridiculous 'Scotland's Wayne Rooney' tag, he gets slated. 15-20 minutes every couple of months isn't being given a fair chance. He should get 10-12 games in a row, behind Jela, to show what he can do.

Any feedback welcome, including from yourself Ed.

Steven.

Agree8 Disagree1

Alouko wouldnt be near the 1st team with everyone fit. due to fact he's murder.
mcgregor
whittaker(needs replaced, not good enough) goian, boca, wallace
naismith, davis, ness, wylde
jela laff
we need a natural wide player, and a centre mid to play with davis as well as moving on broadfoot, whitty, edu, mcculloch, ortiz and i dont rate bedoya. from the spl id go for templeton (hearts) hately (well) and davidson (saint johnston)
the tiger - still beyond reproach

Agree1 Disagree1

Anybody that's got edu in there team is void a really like papac a really do i think he is under rated but we need lee Wallace in the left back position for speed and plus he is younger and why would you not put lafferty on he might not be brilliant but he is defenetley one of our better players plus i think he is improving yes fleck was young and no doubt there was pressure put on him but people also put pressure on greeg whylde yet i see whylde slowly improving every time we seen fleck he was getting slowly getting worse now give wylde a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the point in putting naismith in he's injuried all season, naismith and jelavic Will never play in same gers again

Miko where were you last month? Nowhere to be seen but you win 4 games in a row for the first time this season which is laughable and you come out the woodwork. At least Tim as much of a clown he is is on every day win or lose.

Good on you Lenny. Now now Miko language. You don't start name calling just because someone disagrees with you. It happened to your side kick the other day when a Celtic fan went against him. We are all fed up with the same old rubbish. Banter is one thing but name calling and Sh*t Stirring is another.

Good day Percy's!

Got to laugh at you sorry lot going on about the January transfer window. Please allow me to be the bearer of bad news, the only transfer business Rangers will be involved in will be outgoing because Whyte needs the finances. He expected the club to be in administration at this point, HMRC delaying this process was unforseen meaning Whyte has to finance the club in the mean time.

Do you see Whyte sanctioning any transfer in January? Of course not, he's certainly not using a penny of his 'personal fortune' as we speak!.....and neither will he!

Now the penny's finally dropping with you sorry lot as you're now realising that your team's totally gash. You're broke, skint, Murray-mint, impeunious, ruined, strapped, hard up, poverty-stricken, poor.......lol.

Bedoya, McKay, Ortiz - they're football players, but very bad ones! (and cheap)

Clubfoot, McCulloch, Edu - mince! (and cheap)

Jellyfish and Mavis - suddenly don't look interested! Whittaker?? Ooft! (not so cheap)

Aluko - a personal favourite of mine already......and Pasquale's! Why would any player pay for the privilege to play at the Cage of Doom?

Fat Sally - we'll see just how much of a manager he is.

Celts on the up with improving results, gaining momentum, key players returning from injury and MONEY TO SPEND!

4 points in it bampots! Resorting to attacking your own players and their families, typical! Is anyone exempt from your thuggery? Actually I'll retract that statement, Clubfoot aint a footballer, lol.

Anyway, I hope you find my summary of our current, respective state of affairs enlighting, constructive and informative.

Mind the gap!

Up yees, lol

If lafferty is not available for sat play aluko.
4-4-1-1 formation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why not 4-4-2? no point sitting back at this point we may as well put players forward. surley then one can put a goal in

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he'll try Craig Levein's tried and trusted 4-6-0 against Dunfermline, so to give the defence the protection it needs.

It's all goin pete tong! lol

Miko x

If laffertys not available thats a massive bonus. get him out the door in january. sadly wont get anywhere near the ridiculous 3.25 million they paid for him.

Happy St Andrews Day Bears.

What a day and night in Hamburg. The Imtech Arena is a cracking Stadium I would love to be in it when full.
Beram Kayal said Celtic are superior to Rangers in every possible way, it was only a matter of time before someone came out and said something that can motivate us. It was only the other day Celtic posters said Jelavic said something but they are a difference between what Jelavic and Kayal said. Jelavic got asked a question which he answered as truthful as he could. Kayal got asked a question on tonight's Europa cup game and changed the subject to get a DIG at Rangers lol. You know what Ally's going to do don't you? Pin that up in the dressing room lol.

Followfollow81

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Kayal must not have seen the league table FF81 and he must not know we are the champions. You would think they would learn after Commons and Samaras making a fool of themselves. Keep adding the fuel boys because this is fire will be burning hot come December 28th.

Billyboy1

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha, aye beside the pin the tail on the donkey poster!

Miko x

Agree0 Disagree1

Just put a post on the tic page about this, as above ff81 these things usually come back to bit us. Why he said it I'll never no but it's just fuel to the fire for ally & more do the 28th. Different if it was may & the leagues over say what you want but it's a little bit premature just now

Lenny

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with you Lenny. It must have been annoying for yourself fellow Celtic fans reading that. I know that Celtic fans will bring up Jelavic but he was asked a question by a reporter if he thought 12 points all being Celtic have a game in hand 9 points and his reply was yes I think so. Kayal was talking about Europa cup game and changed the subject to have a Dig at Rangers.

Today's the last day for club to publish last years results under Stock Exchange rules. If they don't announce them today then dealing in Rangers shares will almost certainly be suspended.C'mon Mr Whyte, stop effing around and let the fans know what's happening.

Thomas Bendiksen is to be offered a new contract. He is 22 years old and been at the club for years and has made almost zero impact. At 22 players should be doing far more for the club than what he has done. The only reason we should be giving him a new contract is if we are planning to sell him as it is clear he is not good enough to play in the very poor first team.

GB {Ed001's Note - has he not suffered with injuries? Which would mean his development would be delayed, so he could just be a late bloomer.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

He had 2 serious injuries. Well done to the boy for battling back to fitness!
Dmrangers

Agree2 Disagree0

Matt mckay is 28 and never left Australia but we still gave him a contract, I really fear the worst for the next few years with all these cheap buys coming in.

Since you posted this at 03:29:47 i am going to put this down to you being sleepy and not thinking straight but please think before you post again!

StevenA

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe he was signed years ago but the Ed is right he has had a couple of serious opinion. If anyone else knows his situation fully then please post but I think he got a year contract in the summer after the latest injury and if he is being offered an extension then he must be showing his quality now...

The Fifer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Bendiksen has had a nightmare 3 years with knee injurys and almost had to quit the game completely at one point.

He is now fully fit and was regarded as the hottest prospect in norwegian football when he was 17-18. Give the boy a chance now that he is fully fit.

Seems like a tricky little player and could give more wide options seen as Ortiz and Bedoya don't seem up to the job

need a another striker to partner jelavic to bang in some goals as lafferty and naismith is out ! should go for heffernan that plays for kilmarnock !

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Well dont u think alukos paid enough for now. the boys skint.

Agree2 Disagree2

Lafferty is not out yet. He took a kick on the back which led to a muscle spasm. Both he and the rangers medical team think he will be ok, possibly not for Dunfermline but certainly for the game after that.

Mckay and Jelavic up front against Dundee Utd seemed like a good partnership. I would give that a try.

With Wylde, Davis, Edu and Aluko in midfield
