Ive said this before on a previous post, i think Rangers should buy Shankland from Ayr, his goal ratio is phenomenal, scored 2 goals tonight against Dundee United and its only the first half! what's your thoughts guys?

The manager says the has better options at left back than Wallace, i'd like to know who they are only one who's as good as Wallace is out injured, Flanagan should only play right back or not at all, and Halliday ain't a left back what do you think fellow bears?

Flanagan was shocking first hslf but fair play to him he stUck in and defended well 2nd half. big coulIbaly frustrated me a bit, did a power of work and broke up play well, then passed it straight to a yellow jersey every time lol. Looks a bit short of confidence.

A right footed right back and a left footed left back is the norm and for good reason. Maybe Wallace is still injured or maybe he shouldn't have taken his employer to a court of arbitration. Dunno on this one. Looking forward to Barasic being back though.

If any employee feels they have been harshly treated by their employer they have that right. He has done nothing wrong. He is a better left back than Flanagan and Halliday and it’s a shame his Rangers career looks like ending this way.

We have just drawn with a Spanish La Liga side with 10 men and people are on here slating Rangers players. You really need to get a grip. We were struggling against Peterhead a few years ago.

Dutch. We are over the moon with the result as am sure many of us would have taken a draw before the game. But there were some poor performances and one unbelievable one from our keeper who covered up some defences mistakes. a lot of those players ran there heart out for the club, but a few were not at the races with giving the ball away or making poor decisions when they had the ball. If those players had been better and candieas had stayed calm and the ref put on his glasses we could of came away with a better result. Although that's all 'if's' and 'buts'.

Now the dust has started to settle after Thursday, rangers done ok. We have brought in fifteen new players and most have improved us.
I'm sure our management team and Mark Allen will already be looking at the next two windows re improvement.
Some players will move on and better will be brought in.
I also wrote but never saw it posted that king says the squad is too big.
I feel the following need to go to free up wages,
Hardie, Pena, Herrera, Holt, Dodoo, Wallace, Alnwick or Foderingham, Hodson .
Also Loan players need reviewed, we could return all five, then suddenly we are short of quality.
It is about quality not quantity.
Despite the losses from last year we are in the best position we have been for years.
Ie. Share issue, merchandise sales and Europe
We need to stick together and support rangers going forward
I said when we got shafted it could take ten years to get back to where we want, i. e. Champions league group stages.
Note that does not mean we won't win league soon.

true what they about fine margins, if we had held out against Aberdeen or Motherwell at the start of the season we'd be top of the league and if we'd managed a goal in either of the games against Spartak or Villarreal we'd be topping that group.

Superb gritty performance last night.
What really angers anf frustrates me is that in 4 of the 5 group games we have been on the end of 4 really shocking ref decisions. The 2 sending offs the offside goal scored against us and the onside goal that was chopped off.
It's is simple had these decisions not been taken against us we would have prob already qualified for the last 32.
The sooner VAR is introduced the better.

I thought that Tavernier was again a week link in our defence last night he didn't seem interested throughout the full 90mins, not captain material in my eyes.

I thought Flanagan was the worst player on the park, granted Tav was caught upfield a few times but Flanagan was poor again almost cost us a few goals, the one he tried to pass to worral then worral let it run across him (arguably worral fault) but the pass to him wasn't great, then the one when they had a throw in which Flanagan tried to let run to McGregor luckily enough worral cleared it. He was also caught out a few times in behind. Just my opinion but I don't like Flanagan, if he is a right back and playing left back is a problem then he should not be playing.
Upside is we managed a point and hopefully we can go over to viena and get a win.

Playing a right footed player at left back just doesn’t sit right with me lol. I would currently play Halliday at left back as he gives a better balance to the team in that position. Hopefully Barisic is fully fit soon.

Well one thing I noticed, and it made me bite my nails down to the nib, was basically every set piece/ corner Villarreal had, Tav was marking Bacca, for me he certainly shouldn't have been, maybe stick Tav on post duty or something, but for him to be challenging in the air makes me fill my briefs🤣.

Tav is quality, his pace really helps the team out and defending as a rb is more complex than just being a no-nonsense Cb.
He drives the team forward with his energy and pace whilst he actually has the quality to put decent balls in the box. By driving forward he occupies their wingers and drags them backwards. How anyone could watch last night and think Tav is worse than Flanno, who is abysmal going forward and was hopeless going back last night, is beyond me.

1 Over the season so far Tav is rated as our second best player, shagger rightly first, and Tav has been our top rated or close for years now that's by people who do this for a living.
2 He didn't seem interested? who was that I saw bombing up and down the right wing? did you actually see the match?
3 He gets caught out up field a lot He's a WB it happens, just think sorry that's way to hard, never mind
4 He's not captain material now boys and girls this is easy enough. Who made him Captain A) Coco the clown b) That wascally wabbit Bugs Bunny or C) the world renowned ex-footballer and our manager Steven Gerrard? Take your time.

Just for point 3 he's not a wingback, I agree going foreward he's a huge weapon for us and he's done great. Sometimes could reign it in a bit and remember he's a defender first but find it hard to criticise him as he brings a lot to the team.

I am not a fan of Worrall but he done very well last night. Everyone who slags Flanagan, he is playtout of position for the manager team. Yes we need better but due to injury etc he is best available. Barisic on way back
Althynot a fan of tav he done a job, after Candeias stupidly got himself involved and sent off albeit wrongly tav had two and sometimes three coming down his side
We win draw or lose as a team
We r getting better than days of faure, Black, aird Kyle etc.
Oh and iom we played great in Europe, u r missing again.

Our magnificent goalkeeper, allan mcgregor was absolutely superb last night. He's getting better with age! He must be in the top 6 keepers in britain and without question, one of the best in europe! A better question is whether McGregor is our best GK in history? I think he is and is definitely one of Scotland's best ever.
For what its worth I think he could play for a lot of EPL teams but he is no De Gea and can't do the things with the ball that the likes of Ederson and Allison can do.
P. S. People won't like it cause he is a Celtic player but Armstrong, Tierney is probably one of the best LBs in Britain and he plays up here.

Didn't see the game tonight but we've drawn twice against a Spanish La Liga team and drawn against Spartak Moscow and lost a game to them which we should have won. We beat Rapid Vienna. Only one defeat in Europe this season. The game in Vienna is a one game shoot-out and win it and we are through to the last 32. This is a tough tough group. Who'd have thought we'd even be playing European football this late in the year? Perhaps those who saw the game can enlighten me on the performances as the possession stats aren't great.

Doiger. They were technically the better team. McGregor pulled off two utterly immense saves. Our possession and distribution was, at times, shocking. Flanagan had a nightmare and how he is above Wallace (or anyone) in the left back pecking order is beyond me. Referee lost the plot and Candeias 2nd booking - and arguably first - was an error.
We dug in 2nd half, were under some pressure but managed a couple of chances with a goal chopped off (rightly) and an excellent Lafferty effort well saved. A good and deserved result given we played half of it with 10.
That’s my take on it. No fannying around in Vienna - winor bust!

Pure guts. absolutely loved it last night, more in the sense that the last couple of seasons we would have rolled over n died down to 10 men. This team have guts and character in abundance it looks to me like we finally have a proper rangers team, if that makes sense.

I think Rangers not at brilliant best against Villareal. All in all good result 10 men but our passing was woeful making it easier for them and reducing our own chances. Candies downright stupid - 2 totally unnecessary fouls in such a short space. Think ref couldn't believe it either.

None of Candias yellow cards were justified cause referee let them away with worse the referee couldn't wait to send Candias off he didn't even commit a foul. I don't think that's clever with foreign refs. They are card happy. But player himself has to know this too. He should have calmed down. Know last night atmosphere brilliant because yes Stewarty I was there with a client. Who incidentally Chelsea man, but his comments were telling. He couldn't believe how Candieas activities on Park did not seem to be for the team but simply his own selfish actions.

Mbw, candeias is probably the most unselfish player in our team. You even contradicted yourself in both posts. He didn't deserve his Red. His first booking was the softest booking you will see 2nd foul wasn't even him, so how you get petulance n selfishness out of that I will never know.
