Evening Timalloy I know you like a punt especially for charity, so here goes straight Β£100 bet for the charity of our choice, that your mob (celtic incase your looking a loophole) will lose more games this season than we do, pretty fair bet fella when you think we're light years behind yous. WATP

Celtic won't be on average 2/7 on most games they play this season Sotonbear. You have been underdogs about six times in over three seasons and still somehow lost close to twenty games. Celtic will also almost certainly play more games, I don't mind the charity making money Timalloy but Ajax are better than Alloa and Fenerbahce better than Falkirk I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. There are two cups out there would you put Β£100 on with him for a straight Celtic v Rangers game sotonbear, even accepting match odds, 1/2 v 7/2 etc with maximum loss Β£100?

Soot bear good move mate, considering the rate they will be flying out the door over there(they best try to keep enough to players to fill a team, massive downsize ahead, gar entered.

Easy fix there Gaz. Only base it on the league rather than cup matches. Same amount of matches so no complaints.

Billy u do talk some nonsense by the way! Rate they'll be flying out the door, won't have enough to make up a team! We've enough players to make up 2 teams! Either one would still canter the league! Massive down size! Dear oh dear! Were do u get this pish from! Haha!

It's still skewered towards Rangers Teddy, their average, (not home price) will be about 2/7. Celtic would be nowhere near that over a season plus it would have to be agreed now between the two of them as Celtic play two more league games and at this point that is the case.

I love all this huge fanfare about how brilliant you are now, given the money invested compared to your Alloa's etc this is pretty much what an investment of about Β£25m over 4 seasons should be getting you compared to Livingston's Dumbarton's and Morton's. It's not that your brilliant now, it just shows how bad McCoist was. That you lost about 20 games in that time and haven't won the Petrofac at least once is nothing short of disgraceful. There is massive improvement of course and I'm not knocking Warburton who seems very capable I'm just saying put a team into the lower division with the massive financial advantage Rangers have over the rest of Scotland bar Celtic and this SHOULD be the outcome, not every game by 4 or 5 and to that end it has been impressive but it is pretty much what most of us would have expected from 2012 onwards bar having the clueless one in charge for near three years.

But I still say Timalloy is at a disadvantage, those 6 games in Europe will have an impact, what is Rangers other distraction? There isn't one. Travel, perpetual playing on Sunday's with three days rest etc, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole personally.

01 Sep 2015 10:11:09
Gaz according to you Celtic fans like dh88 you have enough players for 2 teams who would both win the league so surely after playing in Europe you can play your other team lmao?

Eh all the mega stars yours have bought these last two seasons will be out the door quicker than I can take a phish, garenteed, all these mega stars that let yous fail last year ohh and this year for the big one ,hahaha, shower of money grabbing juniors.

01 Sep 2015 11:25:00
Cee last time I looked my name was Gaz and not Dh88, I am entitled my own opinion, yes/no? Bear in mind some of you liked Green some didn't, some liked McCoist some didn't, are we all sheep and all have to have the same opinion? If ever a support proved that isn't the case it is Rangers, so afford me the same freedom. So you are trying to contradict me by someone else's words, really? Next time you laugh your ass off cee, disengage the brain from it or both might disappear, it may be too late however I fear.

I mite not agree, but at least I'll understand what the f**k your talkin about hahaha.and cee Gaz is spot on! We'll play every Thursday against decent opposition and coming back to play teams at a higher level than use will ever face in your league! Course u should drop less points than us! And I still stand by we'll canter the league, but I'm not saying we won't drop points! If u were actually in the same league then this would be a fair bet,but sadly u are not! when or if u come back to the PREMIER league then we can talk about this bet!

Just a point about Oduwa, as much as I like him and he's a talented player, does anyone else agree that he should be getting to the byeline and crossing the ball more often instead of beating guys with his flicks and tricks?

Yeah sometimes its show pony stuff which would be brilliant with a cutback, he is still young though and I guess that's why mw is using him from the bench , my bad feeling is though he is going to get clattered soon by somebody but saying that, makes me πŸ˜ƒ when he's on cause you know your seeing something different and not knowing what to expect

With the window nearly closed it looks like we have what we require for now, I really do hope that it is enough (injuries aside, it should be).
Now it's time to show the rest of Scottish football what a club with real guidance and full fan support can (and will) achieve, no disrespect to any other clubs as most of them are supported and run very well but it has been a long time since Rangers could be one of them. Now with a manager with genuine youth policies and a structure starting to form from bottom up rather from top down it is now time to push the rest of the way to return to where we (and the rest of Scottish football) need us to be, Challenging at the top, pushing the Celtics and Aberdeens for titles and cups.
If we can gain promotion this term and there is investment in the team (not heavily though), then I believe that we will be doing just that sooner than some people think.
So here's to the board for offering stability, to a manager and assistant who offer hope and excitement, but most of all here's to Glasgow Rangers, my team, OUR team, the greatest team in the world, if Carlsberg made a football team.

I am astonished at the so called need for new centre backs. QoS scored what was nothing short of a breakaway goal at 5 goals up and all of a sudden some people reckon the end is nigh.

If the team is going to play from the back then it stands to reason that the defenders need to be comfortable on the ball; which Kiernan and Wilson are. They have both been good most of the time and very good some of the time with the occasional lapse in concentration.

These lads are young and will make a few mistakes along the way but on the whole are just what we need in this new system.

Having said all that, I still think that it is fantastic that we can still win 5-1 beating a team who were better than us last season and still most fans are trying to tweak the team to make it better, much the same as Warburton seems to be doing in every interview.

I have genuinely not been this excited about a season since 1985 when Sooooooouness appeared on the scene.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2015 18:48:10
i have not seen anyone posting that we need new centre backs as far as I see the concencus is we need a sitting midfielder in front to let them defend a bit deeper but having said that if the manager does not agree with that idea its fine by because ultimately he has the shout and so far he has been 100% correct so we will have to wait and see because in warbs we trust

Maybe if we draw a "big"team in one of the cups Halliday could play that role superbly.
But in League games its a wasted jersey for me.

31 Aug 2015 22:08:10
BIGWULL, you got it right, it's up to the manager. He seems intent on playing in a certain way (which currently we are all lapping up). Unfortunately we like every one else are only allowed 11 players on the field so I am sure he knows better than us that if shoring up the defence/sitting midfielder or whatever is required albeit it may be detrimental to other areas he will do so, but right now I don't care if we lose a couple of goals because I am loving watching us.

Anyone ever wondered the difference a manager makes should look no further than Barrie McKay and Wallace.

The initial skills and exciting form shown by McKay were "gardened" out of him by the worst manager in our history. I think we should now think about giving Aird and maybe even Law (I personally think he should be sold) more time under the guidance of Warburton he clearly has a vision we as mere fans do not have

McKay was a stand out against QoS and the most improved player since W&W took over. Wallace is also a new man . Law isn't as bad.

Telfer, Allan (WBA period) and Little would all have been great removing the gardener.

We are so so lucky to have W&W

No offence BIGWULL. Ppl on here look at you for advise maybe come for comfort. ( tell them u get comfort from shops either soap powder or the hard stuff. It's called southern comfort! ) I'm a Gers man and I think we do need him. Stevie May will bang in goals.

We have. ,
Waghorn
Miller
Hardie
Aird ( I would say but some fan pointed out he's not ST material ) ballox!
Clark ( the next raul haha., type raul into your phone it comes up rail. In my opinion rail desaster he is )

BIGWULL, who do you think we need and don't sit on your high chair saying we don't need anyone. Because we do. For example. These things happen in football. ( tough sport bad tackles and so what! ) injures, suspensions, players shattered, getting colds, ( I think one player even couldn't play as because he lost his voice )

Sorry mate not ripping into you but you know you're self we need cover. Look at the QOS game Wallace off Kerian on. ( left back come on the guy a CB! )

I think bring May in back up and 2 full backs and a DM.

Tbh I really don't care what u all say this time. Tomorrow the deadline we need cover.

well I think we need either a wee change in tactics and have someone in front of the 2 centre halves if we hhave some one in the squad or eustace or similar as far as anyone else goes we ar getting goals from all over the team I also think waiting to january is the best course of action to mayebe get a striker more suited to the higher league I have a notion clark may to better under warburton than he has uptil noww

We, as fans, obviously have an opinion, but in all honesty Mark Warburton and Davie Weir will tweek things when necessary with the players we have, with maybe Eustace in as a coach and signing as a player on a paid when playing basis. I think the time to sign the likes of Stevie May e.g. will be January/ or the end of season.
This year is about winning the league and forming the basis of a team, from a tactical point of view and signing players to suit.

Apparently he is highly thought of by Chelsea just not fitting into the plans just yet.

Play Celtic in the cup

3 points to make here DH88.

As for him being sent back look up your facts injured. Or family problems.

1, yeah he has caused a lot of stuff with teams. You tell me one player that ain't caused anything in a team.

2, he wants to be a bad boy so be it. Look at brown, he consideres himself as the poaster boy of Celtic as bad boy!

You lot let a good class player leave you and when a Rangers fan come up with ( a rumour ) Celtic as per go aww no! Rangers might actually play him and he will score goals.

3, again Celtic fans thinking SH#t Rangers playing best football in Scotland once again.

Honestly DH88 get a grip! Hearts all the way for that league haha!

And going by the amount of disagrees your man got when he suggested it then I think I'm not the only one! And Chelsea poached him what 3 years ago maybe more! How many times u seen him play since then? It's a simple question! If he's this classy talented player then how come he's never been seen? Either at Chelsea or on loan to a decent club! And I'm the one that talks tripe! And bluenose 98 my question is who is top of Scotlands top league? Not hearts not Aberdeen! But the champs! And admittedly we havnt been at our best! Once again the referees are doing their bit giving you penalties and sending opposition players off.
Warburton is all about short termism, you will need to rebuild again next season. I am saying this now your team WILL NOT go unbeaten this season, Doiger, Teeboy are you up for a wee Β£10 bet for charity?

AllanRFC I think you are right to think that. We are playing better football and more entertaining football than anyone in Scotland at the moment. All be it yeah in a division lower but still not the point. A few years back Celtic got kicked out of cups with lower teams in lower leagues.

As for Nothinglefttogive. Is that the moto at Celtic now. Nothinglefttogive as you're team ain't playing so well they have gave their all. Come on! It's football not a war, look at you're teams performance this year. Out of Europe again at the same stage. Dropped points to the team at the bottom of the league. Panic buy a player that we wanted ( that youse won't use ) loosing your best defender, your back room staff having to take the blame for loosing two goals to be sent out of Europe.

Really mate get really. You don't see any of us going onto the Celtic page slating youse for failing to reach a big competition. Fair enough we are a league down but this time next season we won't be. So in all fairness I think you should look at it teams misfortune and not ours.

Timalloy. I've already got a bet with my uncle for charity. I don't know bookies odds or that not a betting man. But I put on there last Thursday. Β£80 for Gers to win the treble. Don't know the odds but my uncle said I'd get like Β£500 or summit back and if I win I keep my winnings and he matches mine for my charity I choose. If you wanna know what it is then it's stroke Scotland. And I will donate my winnings to them too if Rangers win the treble. As for you're bet that's a no go as I know we will get beaten once or twice this year in the league. But I think this mentality of the team are hungry and want all cups going. So I've got one on at the moment. I'm not a betting man but thought I'd do that with the bookies.

Can anyone tell me them odds for that return on Β£80 for I'm sure he said Β£525 ( don't quote me on it though )

Tinmalloy. Charity begins at home as far as I'm concerned so keep your money. I'll take my winnings from the bookies. Regarding your bet about Gers going unbeaten you are right about it is unfair to include the cups because there is better opposition - Aberdeen and Hearts lol. Better than Septic that is. How about a bet to see how few points Septic get in their Europa League group? Zero should attract a few bets from the blue side of Glasgow. Delia should be gone soon so yet another high flying manager will arrive at the East End. I see Neil Lennon is doing well with Bolton (NOT). 23rd of 24 teams in the English Championship.

While I am it Teeboy1 really Warburton as good as Struth, your team is in a lower division and your players are earning 10 times or more what most teams down there earn you should be winning every game.
One other thing all your boasting of 50,000 crowds, watch them all disappear once you hit a rocky patch, there are too many fair weather fans like Sotonbear who appear only when your team is winning.

Bigcol where did you get 28,000? The Celtic crowd at the weekend was 42,507. Do you guys just write sh*te on the off chance nobody checks? I'm aware it is pretty similar to the policy of your board for the past few years but I promise you, you will get taken a tiny bit more seriously with the occasional bit of accuracy.

It's Gaz Billy if you don't use it you don't get a reply. That was the OFFICIAL attendance, not accounts according to Craig Whyte, fan numbers according to Charles Green, worth of squad according to McCoist, costs that can be saved according to Wallace and finally personal investment according to King. Now I appreciate it is easier to nail custard to a wall than make any of their numbers stick but that was nonetheless the OFFICIAL attendance and come the appropriate time of year it will be what wee Hector at the tax office gets paid on (ooops another touchy subject maybe).

Now I know we are famed for our charitable efforts but I don't think we pay the tax man on crowds of 42,000 when the crowd is only 28,000 just for a laugh or just to get one over you guys. That would be running club like say erm Rangers have been for close to a decade, we don't operate like that, we get things called PROFITS etc. So take from that what you will but I know for a fact several crowds at Ibrox last season led to equal amounts of head scratching and what you're "not filled to capacity either, brain" hasn't factored in is that season ticket purchases are included regardless of the empty seats, rightly or wrongly that is the case for every club, yours included if you had the brains to appreciate it and recognise it last season.

Has anyone heard any news on any possible defenders arriving on deadline day? Seeing Wallace go off injured and having to deputise Ball as a left back is not really what you want. Playing well this season but don't want to go down the route of having no defensive cover.

Left back will be fine. Call up Ross Mcrorie. Kids awesome and could cope with the league no problem.

If we can't cope for a couple of games with either a youth left back or some one filling in at left back then we are not as good a team as we think. There is no need to sign someone to come and play what babout 5 games a year?

The gaffer said if another player became available, and he thought it was value for money he would make a move,I think somebody to sit in front of back 4 is his plan.
