31 Dec 2016 23:57:34
Happy new year to all.

31 Dec 2016 22:46:57
Happy new when it comes all . the only way is up.

01 Jan 2017 01:03:14
No Ally, the only way for your club is DOWN DOWN DOWN lol HH.

31 Dec 2016 22:17:37
Gutted with the reseult today. i think the style of football we were playing up to our first goal was exellent. then the play after our goal was attroshish. short sloopy balls is been our failure in recent weeks. i mean its only a few players that let us down. if it wasnt for our keeper today. That result would have been another 5-1 defeat. warburton and davie weir must go. i think all us gers fans have had anough of the shocking football that we play. I know we wouldn't win the league this season. but 19 points ahind plus they have a game in hand at this stage is nothing but a failure. we need a leader. Not a failure. i'm dreading the second phase of the season now guys. Aberdeen are breathing down our necks now. what the hell to we do.

31 Dec 2016 22:46:23
Take a breath auld pal! do agree wae the change of manager, well be fine only s game go enjoy new year with loved ones, the fitba will take care of itself mate.

31 Dec 2016 22:51:44
Get a grip we played well today Garner going off was a blow Celtic are at this moment in time a better team we have just came back up we need to rebuild that will take time let's see what the next two transfer windows bring.

31 Dec 2016 22:59:16
Well said bigblue,

Rangers are back in the premiership; we are second and far behind but the doors are open at Ibrox, we have options in January and we aren't going away.

Happy new year to everyone when it comes.

31 Dec 2016 23:35:08
Thinkaboutit. we didn't play well. Celtic dominated that second half. don't know what game you watched. joey garner isn't a good footballer. he is just another one of warbs wasters. we could have bet that lot today. But heads went down. no fight no leader. there's players on that bench today i would have rathered seen on the park. we got ohalleren last season. this guys has the abilty to take men on and is deadly with a cross. i personally think that's what we are lacking. rangers have allways had decent players. but that lot should be a shamed of there self. we got rid of darren mcgregor at the start of last season. now we have taverneir. he isn't a rb. so y play him there. his nothing but a ball watcher. as i said it could havea another thumping. just glad it wasnt.

31 Dec 2016 23:38:39
I mean well said about the football taking care of itself by the way, the manager comment is not one I share bigblue.

20 mins left of this year, on to the next. Happy new year guys.

01 Jan 2017 00:55:22
If you think it could have been another 5-1,I must have been at a different game. We could easily have got a point. Celtic probably deserved to win, but it was a big improvement on the last two old firm games.

01 Jan 2017 02:11:00
Kpblue. as i said in a previous comment. if it wasnt for our keeper. he saved us bigtime. the four incompetent men infront of him let him down. we don't accept second in a game of football. i was just saying that we need a change. if celtic want there tainted 10 in a row. they will get it no bother. time for a change needs to happen. to many players not playing for the Jersey. Anyhow mate i wish you and your family all the best. ns.

01 Jan 2017 08:43:08
Andybluenosewaters when I say we played well I'm taking that from the previous games we had them for first 30mins when Garner went off we didn't have anyone who could win the ball in their half Waghorn isn't good enough and Tav is never a right back he looked like a little boy lost today for me Hodson should have played not sure if Halliday or Holt are good enough to open up defences but we just don't have the money that Celtic do their wage bill is twice ours hence the better players but at least today we were in it right up to the end McKay was superb best I've seen him Hill was strong and played well so all I'm saying is compared to previous games we played better the January transfer window is important we must get it right we have lost Barton and Krajcar from our midfield and Rossiter hasn't been fit MOH has pace to burn but I've watched him when given the chance this season and I've seen him have one good game think it was against Kilmarnock at home we need investment better players and I'd love to see two up front in every game we just don't score enough goals.

01 Jan 2017 10:33:15
First of all andybluenosewaters, a very healthy and happy 2017 to you and yours my friend! You say we didn't play well against celtic yesterday mate, i disagree with you to an extent mate. Here's why. Celtic eventually deserved to win the game and you're right about not playing well, IN THE 2ND HALF!

Rangers I thought set the tempo from the off yesterday and were the better team for most of the 1st half. When leading 1-0 we had a couple of chances to extend our lead, if we had went 2-0 up, then its a completely different ball game and i doubt celtic would have beaten us at that point!

I know they had numerous chances the 2nd half, with foderingham keeping us in it but think about our missed chances even in the 2nd half! Kenny miller hits the post, when he should have scored, late on! Waghorn should have lifted his head and passed to an unmarked barrie mckay for a simple tap in, instead of being greedy and going for glory himself!

The exact same applies to harry forrester, who also was greedy and went for glory himself, where a simple square ball to dodoo and its another relatively, easy finish from around 10 yards out! These are the fine lines mate, and although like all bears i'm totally disappointed with the result, there's still a helluva lot of positives we can take from the game! We without question had them rattled in the first half, up until the equalised from yet another corner kick!

01 Jan 2017 10:38:13
Thinkaboutit

Our budget is about twice Aberdeens yet we are only 2 points in front of them having played a game more. So bigger budgets don't necessarily mean you will be well ahead.

01 Jan 2017 14:45:00
Stevie, better players make the difference! We saw that yesterday. They had Sinclair and Dembele and, though it pains me to say it, the tenacity of Brown in midfield. We had nothing to compare. Brown's contribution as captain was also significant. We didn't have a leader on the park, (although Hill and Miller did their best), but then we haven't had a leader on the Park for years.

01 Jan 2017 14:46:28
Mate 2 points or 22 points it doesn't matter as long as we finish in front of them! We will imo anyway! I'd also state we'll finish in front of the sheep by a good bit more than 2 points! I reckon at least 8 or 9 points in front of them!

31 Dec 2016 21:23:06
Hope everyone has a happy new year, the banter has been great.

31 Dec 2016 22:07:31
Aye same to you and yours.

01 Jan 2017 00:19:49
Same to u new bhoy love the banter and for u Andy it'l get betrer let's stick with Warbs for another full season and see wer we are.

31 Dec 2016 21:07:54
Have a great new yr lads, all the best.

31 Dec 2016 21:43:26
Same to yourself bhoywonder all the best.

01 Jan 2017 01:02:39
All the best bhoywonder to you and yours for 2017 mate! A happy and healthy new year to you!

31 Dec 2016 20:31:52
Fair play to Celtic today. Couldn't make it due to work but watched it earlier this evening. Was a good game and we might have just about deserved something from it. Onwards and upwards for 2017 and beyond. All the best guys. Hope you and yours have a happy and healthy New Year.

31 Dec 2016 20:25:34
Trying to be positive here, we are in 2nd at half way, would have taken that, our main signings of Barton, krancjar and rossiter, crooks have not played for one reason or another so have had to really go with what we had from last year give or take one or two, if Celtic had to do without Dembele, Sinclair, armstrong they would be different team, one thing we lack in team is pace and plainly obvious we struggle when we play against pace, hopefully a good couple of additions and we get 2nd place and hopefully kick on soon. heres hoping, all the best fellow gers.

01 Jan 2017 01:05:38
Surely you're not comparing Dembele/ Sinclair/ Armstrong to that bunch of duds your club signed! lol HH.

31 Dec 2016 19:33:39
Gfraser. was I being delirious yesterday and was I talking hogwash as you put it? NAW! We showed more fight today however the quality is not there. When kenny Miller who is nearing hanging up his boots and is one of our best players, that should tell you everything!

31 Dec 2016 20:36:34
I have to agree, Djab. The effort was there, but technique and tactics are lacking due to the manager's stubborness.
This team if organised better would be closer to them and clear of the sheep.
In my opinion the manager's downfall will be his team selections, due to the players he omits.
I have seen a post about the non selection of Hodson and O'Halloran, players that have class at this grade and to me MUST be played.
I don't want to criticise the manager, but you only get what you pay for. There are manager's in our league with far lesser budgets, that put a far better product on the park with, supposed, lesser quality players.
There are players in our team, Tavernier --- Kiernan --- Waghorn ---- Halliday, for starters, that must move on for the benefit of our team.
The manager must also accept that the game in Scotland, requires a more physical and balanced set-up, rather than his questionable tip, tap tactics.
All this takes nothing away from the EFFORT of our team today.

31 Dec 2016 20:54:31
Your post doesn't make sense mate, your saying "you only get what you pay for" and we"have a bigger budget" then in the nxt sentence your saying managers with a lesser budget are putting a better" product" on the park and tgen saying u don't want to critisize the manager, so whos fault is it?

01 Jan 2017 10:32:36
Yes Bluedie, Rangers have always been made to pay top dollar. This combined with many of the manager's signings that are poor value create this situation.
I don't want to criticise the manager but his failings are self-evident, or should be.

31 Dec 2016 18:43:50
The Rangers worked hard this afternoon, no doubts! A slight improvement, however Celtic had the better of the game and although statistics can sometimes be misleading, they reflected Celtic's superiority today, as does the table - 20 points ahead at half way. I thought the Gers showed a lot of heart though, that must be encouraging! That's surely a fair assessment for today and the season so far. Happy New Year y'all!

31 Dec 2016 20:03:03
Showed a lot of fight today but if we had showed that much for all other games this season we wouldn't be so far behind in the table.

We did show that we can still rattle your team and for the best part of the first half, then we fell through after your equaliser.

The self belief must have gone with the lead because we were a different team in the second half.

Have a good new year.

31 Dec 2016 18:40:01
so many players from last year are under performing and have showing no improvement in there game if anying they have went backwards.
these players should be shipped out.
ohallaran kiernan wilson taverner haliday Holt
forester. waghorn and garner questionable cause if you play 1 attacker we need a goalscorer And these 2 are not going get us 20 goals a season playing with 1 up front a partnership is more suited to these 2.
Warburton Should take notice of the two goals scorers today for celtic sinclair and dembele both brought in and straight in the team and proved there quality once again match winners. they have not taking months to settle in like our signings this is where warburtons problem lies he has not improved our team with better quality players
this is where our recruitment policy is questionable under Warburton so far none of the players he has brought in are star performers week in week out. we need scouts on the ground looking for players not relying on players from warburtons past clubs and watching dvds of players.
free singings and loan players ain't going to cut it to to challenge for the title.
beeing so far behind in the table is embarrassing with the budget and size of squad we should be much closer.
i see even Dundee won 3 nill against st Johnstone today a team we struggle against.

31 Dec 2016 19:27:55
You talk about underperforming but more likely they are simply not good enough for the step up to the top league!

31 Dec 2016 19:34:22
St johnstone will treat the game against Rangers totally different compared to against Dundee tho and yes we should be aware of that as that has always bn the case but this isn't Rangers teams of old and we nd to get use to that. opposition teams still treat it as a cup final bu this team don't yet understand the demands.

31 Dec 2016 20:02:28
Im with Tomusa the players are not good enough. Holt and Halliday as much as they try are not Rangers quality. We still cannot defend a corner, leaving the most dangerous player unattended is unforgivable. Tav posted missing again for the second is criminal. Coming home from the game on the subway the fans seemed subdued but not despondent because we only lost 2.1.but its not acceptable. Not one player would get a game in the team we had before the darkness descended. We need quality players that is a no brain'er.

31 Dec 2016 20:42:33
I hate to say this but holt and Halliday have had they're day in a gers jersey. Being a bluenose shouldn't be enough for Halliday to be bulletproof and wee holts work rate isn't enough to keep him in team either. If we can get rossitor fit and sign a midfielder in Jan it will be a step in right direction.

31 Dec 2016 18:28:11
i think our squad should be strong enough to finish 2nd as it is. i don't realy want any loans unless there is a pernament deal at end of season for them. would like to sign a couple of players outright in january that are better than those already there. this way it would be building on "the work in progress". i think the last 2 transfer windows we have brought mostly squad players rather than quality and this trend needs to stop.

31 Dec 2016 18:45:55
Game was crying out for moh to come on, right side was free all day, iv lost faith in MW time to step aside an let a real manager sort things out.

31 Dec 2016 19:10:18
This the same MOH that's had 1 and a half good games since joining.

31 Dec 2016 22:51:03
He's hardly had one and a half games tho. Can't get near a team for all Warburtons wee favorites.

31 Dec 2016 18:12:34
Saw someone say we are only 2 or 3 players away from being a force. Okay. forgetting Miller is 37 and Hill 38 I think we are still some way behind that lot. Today was imo only a slight improvement. Mckay was superb Windass was showing some class with his passing Hill and Fod done well. Halliday couldn't pass the parcel and again complete indeciveness in the final 3rd cost us. When I say slight improvement it's because even though this was slightly easier to watch we were still miles behind them in terms of attempts/ possession etc. We need a whole new spine.

31 Dec 2016 18:33:58
We lack real quality and even though Sinclair would be a mediocre EPL player he is quality in this league. That said he looked good today because he was up against nothing down that flank and Tavernier's ineffectiveness defensively added to Halliday's total inability put our central defence under immense pressure.

McKay was arguably the best player on the park and Windass showed signs that he will come good. Garner looked like he could cause them problems with his robust style of play but Waghorn offered nothing when he came on and Holt will not be any better than he is and that is not good enough. Hill and Miller both showed quality but they can't go on for ever and we have no one in reserve to take their positions. With better defensive coaching I have to believe that both Wilson and Kiernan would improve; perhaps Hill should be given that role!

We need investment, we are crying out for two quality midfield players and we cannot sit back and hope that Rossiter, Crooks and Krancjar will come back injury free and staff fit! We also need quality replacements for Miller and Hill and if we are to play with wing backs then we need at least one quality player for this role. We also need to find a captain because we lack a leader on the park!

31 Dec 2016 19:07:23
TOMUSA, Scott Sinclair is a class player, your poor players do not have any bearing on that. He makes himself look good because he is good. Your players are poor because they are just poor. Sour grapes to just have a pop at him like that. he's been at Big teams for a reason. Mckay was maybe your best player on the park but not overall. That was Scott Sinclair, as was chosen.

31 Dec 2016 19:27:45
TBH I thought Stuart Armstrong was MOM, slightly edging WF.

31 Dec 2016 20:05:08
I would have given MOM to Foderingham, easily his best display in the nets this season.

31 Dec 2016 20:44:33
Fods was MOM in my opinion, he had a very good game.

31 Dec 2016 20:58:51
Defo a toss between mckay and sinclair and sinclair edges it for getting the winner. hate to say but if any of u guys read my posts at halftime i said either mckay or sinclair would b the matchwinner.

31 Dec 2016 21:56:22
Listen mate its a bad day when Izzaguirre is beating Tav for pace from a stand still position, says enough. So I wouldn't sing the high praises of Sinclair too much. Big clubs? He only went to Man City due to the home grown rule and couldn't get a seat on the bench then struggled to make an impact in a poor Villa side. Just being realistic mate he is being made to look better than he is because of the lack of quality up here. Simple.

31 Dec 2016 22:37:58
Yes Ger88, Sinclair was struggling down south, but Brendan saw his potential at Swansea and brought him to Celtic where he has turned out great displays game after game . Celtics formed dipped a little when he was injured but so glad we have him . . Was worried today when you took the lead but like the St Johnstone game your heads dropped when we got the equaliser . Young Mc Kay your best player . Happy New Year to you all .

01 Jan 2017 01:08:26
Doesnt say much for the rest of your team when you think your keeper was MOM. Incidentally, he didn't get that award anyway. lol HH.

31 Dec 2016 18:10:11
In all honesty will always agree that Brendon Rodgers I've always respected always acts with a degree of decorum. onto the game first 25 rangers right up for it then Celtic started to show the gulf in class, last 20 in second half we got a second wind and pushed hard but also could have been put to bed on a good few occasion, not one to chastise players but tav was horrid. what can we say chaps but we have to suck it up.

31 Dec 2016 22:19:20
the problem is in midfie;d we can't match brown or armstrong or rogic and our replacemenys are allunavailable for want of beeter words.

31 Dec 2016 17:36:41
Celtic are far better then us let's get real . Sinclair proven player in the epl but fell out of favor at old team . Dembele highly rated young player value 20 m apparently . Griffhis last season 40 goals . Toure plenty experience has played in champions league . Plus plenty internationals in the squad . A former epl manager. Higher transfer policy. Do you want me to go on?

31 Dec 2016 18:22:27
Baba you are spot on and here is the bad news. let's say celtic win the league and are 25 points ahead of rangers at the end of the season which is very likely. If next season Rsngers are only 20 points behind celtic then that is progress. so until then all of this making progress stuff is nonesense. You can't look at games against celtic and say rangers are getting closer. you only get 3 points for beating celtic same as you get for beating motherwell. So the fuss is about rivalry not about progress. So this obsession with having to beat celtic needs to stop. Its not going to happen any year soon. Why? Rangers need £25 million to even challenge celtic. Rangers need 5 or 6 quality players and i mean £3million players. You might find a gem for £1mill but in reality you get whst you pay for. Then these players will demand £20k plus a week so that's another £4 to £5 mill a year. So how do Rangers recoup that money. Thd answer is they dont. Its dead money. So someone needs to be willing to lose £25 mill to see if Rangers can compete. So getting the money back over years and years can only be done by winning the league year after year and then getting CL football. If you think Celtic won't strengthen as well then you are wrong. So even investing £25 mill is no guarantee of success and with the CL changes coming up in 2018 then there may be no point in even going down that route. So Rangers have no chance of overtaking Celtic. FACT. Rangers fans can jump up and down and shout all they want. Catching Celtic is only a dream. Rangrs have no money. King won't put any substantial cash in and neither will anyone else unless they can see a chance of getging their money back. This is Scottish football. You can't make a return on your investment so no money is coming to Rangers and they will always be behind Celtic until someone puts £25 mill on the table. So let's stop talking about closing the gap. Second is tbe best Rangers can realistically hope for ever ever ever. If you can accept that then you can move on. If not you will continue to talk nonesense.

31 Dec 2016 17:28:52
firstly we are a work in progress. seems at last warbs is willing to alter formation but i think we would be better with two midfielders who can tackle and sit in and let windass or holt be the central attacking midfielder as they can't realy do the dirty work and this would alow them to concentrate on creating. we also get caught out of position every time tav goes to the left wing to hit free kicks. can no one else hit them? ps that's the least of tavs flaws, don't want to rant though.

31 Dec 2016 17:58:21
1 thing I want to say even though I'm pretty depressed about the result I think brendan rodgers oozes class. He made an effort to shake every rangers players hand after match and had words of encouragement for them. So fair play to him a few of his predecessors would have been to busy gloating. And he's also a very good manager.

31 Dec 2016 18:49:57
We might be work in progress but we are a long way from being anything like the finished article! If we are willing to accept Holt as our attacking midfield player then we are willing to accept second best since he is not premier league class and is not likely to develop to be of that quality. He is a good squad player at best. We have not replaced Miller at striker and don't look anywhere close to doing this. Garner is a different style of player, today if he hadn't been injured he looked capable of causing their defence problems but he is not a goal scorer. Waghorn isn't good enough and for whatever reason MOH isn't getting a game. Dodoo looks to have potential but he is not in the same league as Dembele and Forrester just does not convince.
McKay looked very good today and appears to be growing with confidence but how long will he stay if we are struggling and there is no sign of investment in quality players.
We need quality in midfield, Halliday is a waste of a jersey; we cannot work on the assumption that Crooks and / or Rossiter will come back fully fit and stay that way and even if they do we have yet to see whether they are good enough to take us forward.

Defensively Hill is our best player, both Wilson and Kiernan continually face criticism but whether they would be any better with a decent midfield is open to debate and for me, neither of our full backs are that good in this league and we totally lack leadership!

31 Dec 2016 19:15:34
It's easy to be gracious when you are on the winning team.

31 Dec 2016 17:17:35
Before I start I'll mention it's my opinion!

Thoughts on today .

McKay played the best he's played in a long time .

Miller done his usual and ran his heart out .

Hill was solid at the back .

Fod ( can't believe I'm saying this as I've gave him a hard time in the past ) saved us on a few occasions .

Now the not so good .

Halliday hasn't kicked a ball for weeks and weeks but is loved because of his previous badge kissing exploits . Crooks must be fit and worth a punt at centre mid .

Centre halves get criticised because our right back doesn't track back and can't put a decent tackle in hence they get pulled out of position and get made to look like it's their fault ( today I lost count how many times Kiernan came up against Sinclair because Tav was pulled out of position and can't/ won't track back ) .

Midfield is light and people that follow us on a weekly basis can see this and against them this is always where the game is won! Broony yellow carded early on when we were on top so why was nobody hounding him during the game as we all know he's got a short fuse and maybe another silly challenge and he would have went!

Upfront I didn't even know Waggy came on he was that ineffective!

We have came on this year but we can all see the gulf we have bridge before we can even attempt to mention us as title contenders!

MW goes on about it's a great squad but tirelessly picks the same few that should maybe sit their arses on the bench for a few weeks or even maybe no have the jersey on again ( I'll let you make that decision about who yourselves ) !

I hear everyone talking about loan signings but what we need is a few decent in on permanent contracts ( if King is true to his word that there will be signings ) as these people need to be ready for season start!

All in all it's an improvement slowly it's an improvement but we all know some fans want instant success at our great club but after the five years we've had I think in general we are going the right way!

Now everyone have an safe night and I wish you all the best for 2017 and let's see what the future holds!

31 Dec 2016 17:29:52
Thought was an improvement tavernier can't shouldve been godson but they had that bit a class up front take dembele Sinclair out we would've won . need goalscorer.

31 Dec 2016 17:33:13
Agree with most of what u say mate apart from the improvement part. There been no improvement this year at all in my opinion.

31 Dec 2016 17:39:36
When he dropped McKay it gave him the kick up the arse to go and produce the kind of performance today I think you have a good point on dropping a few to see the reaction.

31 Dec 2016 17:46:31
Agree with the majority of your post blackwoodbear.

31 Dec 2016 18:12:47
I agree Stewarty, take Sinclair and Dembele out and you might have had a chance against nine men! LOL.

31 Dec 2016 20:58:16
The worrying thing for me is that even if we had Dembele and Sinclair in our Ranks I am not convinced that we would have won that game today. Certainly Sinclair on one flank and McKay on the other would have been an improvement but our midfield did not function and our defence had no protection. We would still have been three or four players short of a quality side!

31 Dec 2016 21:02:45
Got to agree, we nd Rossiter to b fit to b our digger and hopefully the boy jota can b the link between mid and attack. then that just leaves us a back 4 to get😂.

31 Dec 2016 22:33:45
Here here blackwoodbear! I agree with most of your points! I would also just like to wish all bears a very happy new year and all the best for 2017!Stay safe, have a good swally and let's see what 2017 brings the famous glasgow rangers. We start in earnest again in the scottish cup against motherwell at ibrox on saturday 21st of january! All the best to everyone for 2017!

31 Dec 2016 17:10:43
Warburtons tactics were all over the place today what was the defence playing in second half wee needed an out ball he brings on Forrester instead of moh? We left the wings wide open today strangest set up ave seen rangers play 3 cbs in a four at the back need to change something and quick.

31 Dec 2016 17:25:54
Pretty sure it was 3 at the back with tav and mckay playing a wingback role?

31 Dec 2016 16:02:32
Fellow bears
I believe today was a masked improvement from the first old firm game we are 2-3 players away from really being a force we have to stay together be a voice and really push this team into securing second we are we're we are but it's coming celtic were exposed a few times today we showed they are not that far away bar Sinclair, dembele
They were average at best
Come on the rangers 55 is coming.

31 Dec 2016 16:06:41
I agree mate, I was quite impressed with how much we've improve, still work to be done, but I think people are expecting too much,

31 Dec 2016 16:13:38
2 or 3 players from being a force? You have only 2 or 3 players I would keep. Miles behind mate. Armstrong is like a new signing for celtic.

31 Dec 2016 16:13:59
Definitely a big improvement today but 2-3 players from being a force?

Really?

31 Dec 2016 16:17:21
We still need a quality spine. Foderingham is looking much better but we need a commanding CB a midfield general and a finisher!

31 Dec 2016 16:22:39
2-3 quality players and we start to put the pressure on Brenda and remember Brenda doesn't do pressure
I say again we are not that far away.

31 Dec 2016 16:29:21
Qualified for C L. Won league cup. 58 out of 60 points and that's with the world's greatest back in the league. Can't handle pressure. Bring back Ronny I hear you say. ha ha Brilliant. 😂.

31 Dec 2016 16:33:30
Haha we see.

31 Dec 2016 16:37:37
Hands up if anyone thinks Rossiter will play again before his contracts up. longest calf strain in history.

31 Dec 2016 16:42:59
Romours are quality player when fit and playing but injury prone another gamble that thus far not really paid off
Get him fit chances are a really good player
Over to you lancey boy haha look forward to this!

31 Dec 2016 16:44:50
Please stop embarrassing us. Apart from miller (at 37), hill (38), fod and mackay, we are mince.

Waghorn = kris Boyd (except less goals)
Halliday : badge kisser
Tav : can't even play midfield as doesn't track runners
Holt: lightweight and no goal threat
Kiernan: tries hard but no ability
Senderos :?
Wilson: no pace/ no concentration
Dodoo: scared/ no heart
Moh: no final ball
Garner: can't score goals but gets praised for trying (should be trying on £15k a week)

I could go on, but you get the picture.

31 Dec 2016 16:47:40
55 is comin! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 dear oh dear when will u ever learn! That was us off the back of 9 games since the start of the month, probably the worse we've played this season in the first half and I'm still disappointed we only scored 2! But hey there is no gap!

31 Dec 2016 16:53:39
There were a lot of positives from the game today and if Garner had not been injured early on I reckon we could have got a result. Garner would have outmuscled their defence, Waghorn offered little when he came on.
Our keeper played well as did our three centre backs but defensively Tavernier was poor and his failure to mark his man cost us the game.

I thought McKay was the Man of the match and when you attack the way he did down the flank you don't need to worry too much about defending.

Miller was excellent and personally I thought that Windass had a good game. Halliday was a waste of a jersey. He offered little in attack with sideways passes and back passes. His tackling was a joke. Holt was ok but nothing special. At the end of the day Celtic's two 'quality signings' won them the game. We must sign some quality for midfield and ideally a goal scoring striker. A quality right wing back would also be a plus.

31 Dec 2016 17:01:09
2-3 players, Foddys saves and that mob not being clinical saved us a humping

Far too many players trying to be heroes like the likes of waghorn and forrester

James tavernier, how many times did he wait on the ball going to his feet.

31 Dec 2016 17:13:33
Can't comment on the young boy as not seen enough of him but reports are that he is a class player when fit db1311.

31 Dec 2016 17:27:47
Celtic fan here. I thought you played extremely well in first half. We didn't get settled and you definitely deserved your lead when you got it! After we upped the anti but still looked nervous until we got the goal. Two things I noticed. Hill never lost a header the whole game. And McKay was one of the best players on the field throughout! A good fair game imo and going back to the original post I disagree about 2/ 3 players to compete over the course of a season. But I do think if you can keep the young lad Rossiter fit and get a good CB that we are in for an even better derby next time around! Have a good night lads and stay safe.

31 Dec 2016 17:31:01
I think this is the most deluded site I've ever been on 2-3 players and ulb a force again? Your 2 points above aberdeen with a squad whos wages cost triple if not more of the dons wage bill your 19 points behind celtic and you think your going in right direction? Deary me boys time to wake up smell the coffee and accept like your stadium your crap and are falling apart!

31 Dec 2016 17:41:49
I find it rddiculous that any Rangers supported would look at this game and claim we are getting closer to celtic. Even if Rangers beat celtic every game pf tge season but celtic win tbe league by 20 points hiw is that getting closer. The league is over all of tge matches plsyed- rangers best run of victories is 4 in a row. Celtic have just won 15 in a row so whete is this getting closer coming from? Celtic are 19 points ahead with a game in hand. They will win the league by 30 odd points so if that's getting closer then carty on belevin your own hype.

31 Dec 2016 17:49:43
Keep Rossiter fit lol😂? . we can't bloody get him fit.

31 Dec 2016 18:09:11
You never know the difference 3 players of the right calibre could make, don't think it's so far fetched.

31 Dec 2016 18:10:29
You only scored 2 because as I keep saying you ain't that great.

31 Dec 2016 19:20:08
It is far fetched joscro we could probably get a lend of Messi Neymar n saurez n still finish behind celtic because Warburton would still find a way to play tavernier keirnan Holt n hslliday.

31 Dec 2016 20:57:49
Joscro the phrase clutching at straws must have been invented for u pal! We only scored 2 but it could have been 5 easily in that 2nd half! Open your eyes eh! If yous some how manage to buy 3 decent players we'll just buy players of an even higher standard! It's hard to accept I know but it's the truth! The champions were nowhere near top form today but should still have scored at least 4 or 5,while yous had your best half hour this season and still lost!

31 Dec 2016 21:05:36
Tbh joscro and i hate to say it, that mob actually looked as if they wer trying to pass it into the net at times (thankfully)

31 Dec 2016 16:00:01
On something a bit different did anyone else notice Celtic using our goals during the warm up and compmetely blanking the temporary ones at the side? Only moved to them when the groundsmen moved in with pitchforks. that's why Mark Mcghee was raging with their assistant a few weeks back and they are at it again with us. Guess because they are at the top they think they can just do what they like.

31 Dec 2016 16:58:21
Where are the straws sorry there they are there.

31 Dec 2016 17:17:45
Its about having some class in the way you act wgw. I have no complaints with the result today.

31 Dec 2016 22:01:24
Funny u mention Motherwell, who scored the same amount of goals in that one game u mention that yous have managed in 3! And please let's not start lecturing people on class eh, i can't take u serious when yous mention that word lol.

31 Dec 2016 15:56:11
Disappointed with that, a great start and then (I think) against the run of play their goal drops a few heads.

Miller was unlucky to hit the post when he did, as were they.

Forresters contribution was literally nothing, much to Dodoo and our frustration and he needs to be told.

Foderingham was at fault for nothing, Tav was again showing he is no defender and I'm getting bored of his random shots here and there.

Mckay played well but looked a little light from time to time in his challenges.

I was a bit confused with the choice to take Windass off instead of Halliday or Holt?

The difference on the day for me was their two signings and a few bad decisions from Warburton.

They were better for 60-65mins and that's Just my opinion on the game.

That's our games done for 2016 and the team looks far from clicking, here's to a fresh start and dramatic improvements in the new year.

Have a good one guys and be safe.

31 Dec 2016 16:04:48
Mackay was class today not lightweight at all. they were just a bit more pace class up front.

31 Dec 2016 16:23:48
He was class but when challenging Roberts he was light.

I already said that's just my opinion.

31 Dec 2016 16:57:05
I thought that McKay was the best player on the park. Sadly we had nothing down the other flank and Halliday is a waste of a jersey. A lot of positives from the game but we need more quality in midfield.

31 Dec 2016 17:05:33
Get the boy moult from Motherwell knows where the net is.

31 Dec 2016 15:43:25
Seriously think rangers should consider signing Liam Boyce from Ross county, would bring a big of physicality to the attack and isthe current top goal scorer in spl.

31 Dec 2016 15:52:23
He would probably go backwards if he came to us .

31 Dec 2016 15:55:17
I did on Football manager 17.and he's been pants so far lol.

31 Dec 2016 16:24:05
Celtics desision making is the main thing that sets us apart. ther was a few instances when we could have made better desisions that could have resulted in a goal, obv forresters being the biggest 1.

31 Dec 2016 19:21:27
Plus a competent manager bluedie.

31 Dec 2016 15:42:40
To be honest I'm quite proud of our performance today, there was times in the game we played really well, a few mishaps and a few players who need the bullet but we are going in the right direction. I'm pleased with warburtons work. Let him add new faces in January then the summer and I believe we'll be fighting for 1st next season, if you think winning the league this season was realistic yer out yer gums!

31 Dec 2016 16:00:27
I would agree with your comment Negri.

The team looks good now and then, we need consistent play and we need to find our teeth.

Hopefully we can sign a couple of solid players who are fit and able to start right away.

31 Dec 2016 16:26:27
We need to really start scoring more goals when we're on top in games. the first half prior to them scoring they looked rattled but we couldn't go for the jugular. compare that to the 2nd half when they were on top and it was wave after wave of attacks.

31 Dec 2016 15:29:23
Warburton = clueless don't come back after new year pack your bags and take tavernier and harry forrester way you and kiernan.

31 Dec 2016 15:51:41
Holt and halliday to that list the undroppables! Offer nothing and guaranteed 90 mins every week.

31 Dec 2016 16:01:00
I think you're clueless mate, there's positives to be taken from this. We were on our Arse 2 years ago, we're building towards something.

31 Dec 2016 16:01:56
I find it strange that wilson doesn't get the same amount of stick as kiernan. He's a better footballer but makes as many mistakes as kiernan. As for tavernier I agree hodson has to play instead of him.

31 Dec 2016 16:04:06
What were you expecting this season southsideger? I was quite pleased with the way we set up today think warburtons tactics were well suited to the game, short of a few players but we are definitely improving.

31 Dec 2016 16:28:40
Got to say i'm not a kiernan fan but the amount of times he needs to abandon his posistion because Tavs halfway up the park is criminal. i lost count how many times sinclair got 1v1 with kiernan.

31 Dec 2016 17:03:53
I thought that our back three played well today as did Fotheringham and I thought that McKay was the best player on the Park. Tavernier let us down badly with his defending and his failure to track his man and I have to ask what Weir does in terms of defensive coaching.
In midfield I thought that Windass played well and will only continue to improve but Halliday and Holt are out of their depth and Halliday is like a man down. Up from Miller played well and I reckon we would have got a result had Garner not been injured since he would have unsettled their back four. Waghorn, when he came on did not cause them problems.
We need to spend money on some quality acquisitions for midfield and ideally we could do with a good right back.
If we could get money for them then I would sell both Tavernier and Waghorn and use the money to bring in a top quality holding midfield player. That by far is our weakest position!

31 Dec 2016 18:00:11
We have a good rb, his name is hodson. He played against aberdeen and hearts. 1 goal and 1 mom I believe. Our defence looked much better when he played. So guess what the magic twot did? Dropped him.

31 Dec 2016 15:29:07
How long before our club spouts out some pish about silences to deflect the attention away from 60 minutes of dross, clueless football?

31 Dec 2016 15:54:30
The Daily Ranger are doing it for you just now.

31 Dec 2016 16:03:06
The start of the minute silence was a disgrace. But nothing can deflect from the performance.

31 Dec 2016 16:05:22
I must have been at a different game today, I thought we played well and could have got a draw. They probably deserved the win. But it was a big improvement on the last two games.

31 Dec 2016 16:21:42
Hooly78, you maybe want to retract that statement, it was one of your own doing the shouting.

31 Dec 2016 16:29:42
2nd half dislpay we were lucky to get beat 1-2 mate.

31 Dec 2016 16:52:16
I don't usually waste my time responding to celtic fans on a rangers fan site. But I will this time any fan that shouted anything during silence is **** including the celtic fans who were shouting.

31 Dec 2016 17:39:09
Hooly, its a Football fan site pal, this is just the wee rickity rangers corner on it. We know who you were aiming that post at. But you are correct, its shameful of fans of any club to break a minutes silence, but you have to ask why on earth it wasnt an applauded tribute, its the common sense thing to do.

31 Dec 2016 19:47:31
Bhampot, it was 2 separate shouts from your fans mate that started it all! Are you conveniently forgetting that twice one of your fans shouted the name during today's minutes silence! I agree our few supporters shouldn't have reacted until after the minutes silence! So get your facts right pal!

31 Dec 2016 15:20:17
Hi guys, this has to be the end for some of this team? . We all know that we are behind the rattles but we have not improved enough in 2016. We keep getting caught out with players that can't pass 20 yard ball. My rant here is MW just is not a premier manager. Others push the players on , not us. Let's start again from the top, play the squad evenly, and if the don't measure up, the get them to hell out, lone players only cover up the cracks, again I will say, if we get anybody in, it has to be a starter, not a filler. We hope to much from mckay and Miller to win over this shower.

31 Dec 2016 15:41:44
I don't think that's it's MW not being premier league standard as the championship down south is a harder league. I believe the fact is he has not got a portfolio of good managerial experience to be able to adapt tactics to suit matches or change them mid flow. Crooks should replace haliday, Hogson in for tav, give sendeross a chance in place of kiernan (can't be worse) . MW says it's a squad game yet he favours same old time after time even though they are very poor.

31 Dec 2016 16:34:29
Tav, haliday, kiernan, wilson need shown the door. As for forrester, what a muppet he is. that's why you don't get a game harry. Now do one and get tae aswell.

31 Dec 2016 15:15:21
Was Halliday wearing green and white boots with black today? serious question guys.

31 Dec 2016 15:38:34
didnt know he was playing till the second half, hardly got stuck in.

31 Dec 2016 15:52:16
Dear oh dear oh dear! Is that a serious post? . If so, please just leave the drink alone tonight, you sir, are all that's bad about your club. Its nearly 2017 not 1720. Decent Rangers fans should hound you for that. Back in yer Cave.

31 Dec 2016 16:31:34
He was our best player by a mile and your rattling on abt the colour of his boots.

31 Dec 2016 17:07:47
think he was wearing rigger boots.

31 Dec 2016 17:52:29
Sorry mate i thot u meant Mckay when u wer refering to the boots but does it really matter what colour of boots he was wearing.

31 Dec 2016 21:09:02
The way that Halliday performed today it looked as though he was wearing hobnail boots. Hopefully when we return late January we will have acquired a new midfield player and he can stay at home and wear his slippers. Totally out of his depth in the Premier.

31 Dec 2016 15:12:58
I reckon we should go for david davis of Birmingham City. 5k a week at birmingham. Would be a better player than haliday. Hiday is lightweight, davis is quite a big lad.

31 Dec 2016 15:09:39
We need a goal scorer and a new right back and new midfield general and I almost forgot to
Mention a new manager one who has the balls to drop pampered superstars and knows how to change tactics

Warburton = clueless.

31 Dec 2016 15:18:58
@southsideger - didn't know we had any superstars?

31 Dec 2016 15:23:20
We have no superstars. Just bang average dross who Warburton seems unable or unwilling to overlook.

31 Dec 2016 15:28:09
The way the think they can be greedy i. e. Forrester he thinks he's a superstar so does the undroppable tavernier #pamperedsuperstars.

31 Dec 2016 16:56:20
Need dropped, Halliday, holt, keirnan, tavernier, Wilson, just not good enough.

31 Dec 2016 14:53:29
Lets get real, we expected that before the game, yes there was the hope we would do something and it all looked good after kick off, but tav and keirnan, some bad mistakes but at the end of the day, we did have chances to draw and maybe snatch it, glory hunter forrester has vanished out of my list of players i rate, selfish selfish man! But McKay and fods both were amazing! Its early in the rebuild and hopefully at the start of next season with the right signings we can push on and actually challenge!

31 Dec 2016 15:17:15
U seriously think we can do that under a manager who has way too many wee favourites?

31 Dec 2016 17:05:51
Yes, with the right signings.

31 Dec 2016 18:06:25
Daz doesn't matter who he signs will still play tavernier Holt and halliday every week.

31 Dec 2016 19:04:50
Agree with you dazrfc86! Barrie mckay was superb against celtic today and was by far the best rangers player on the park! Apart from probably scott sinclair, young mckay was the motm today! Foderingham also terrific, especially 2nd half! I've always rated barrie mckay and continually say as much on here! He has everything to get to the top in football!

31 Dec 2016 14:41:14
Everyone pressing the panic button again!?

31 Dec 2016 15:09:03
No need to hit any panic button, why would you think that?

31 Dec 2016 17:53:58
Come on lads let's be honest we realistically weren't expecting to win today. 2-1 isn't a bad score given that lot are meant to be superstars. Our team is still young and in development. 2nd place will do fine this season then we can look to push on next year. Remember we were dead and buried a few years ago.

31 Dec 2016 14:28:06
No Rangers team has ever been 19 points behind at this stage of the season.
Again we cannot defend corners, make the wrong decisions in the final third, the blame lies with the management they recruited the players, they set the team up, clearly decisions have to be made at the end of the season.

31 Dec 2016 14:34:10
Tav was utter pish today imo.

31 Dec 2016 14:34:55
I thought we had a good first half and were not put classed. As much as a win or draw would have been ideal, we didn't get humiliated and ill take that. Happy Newyear to all when it comes :-) :-)

31 Dec 2016 14:44:58
But we have always had better players than we have now, how hodson never played is a disgrace.

31 Dec 2016 15:20:15
We didn't get outclassed camoo? Could easily have been 8 or 9 Yeah we were decent first half but foderinghsm saved us from a real doing let's be honest.

31 Dec 2016 15:43:35
Again tavernier lost for the winning goal! And still people blame keirnan lol tav was the worst player on the park today and hodson who hasn't put a foot wrong when he's played is rotting on the bench.

31 Dec 2016 14:27:57
Listening on radio from afar today, we definitely need a midfield general, and he must get some central defenders who can defend, I think he has to drop the 433 formation as well.

31 Dec 2016 15:48:54
We didn't play 433 and its nothe centerbacks that worry me its guys like tav and halliday not following runs that cause problems! And the biggeat problem of all is regular punters like us can highlight the threats from celtic yet nothing is done to counter it! No one against Sinclair (there biggest threat) no one close enough to dembele when balls played into him and no one tracking Armstrong from deeper! Basic mistakes that never seem to be addressed.

31 Dec 2016 14:27:38
we are crying out for a new Jock Wallace in charge.

31 Dec 2016 15:29:20
Wee bill yes someone to kick arses not say we'll from that and go again. a whole new midfield needed .

31 Dec 2016 15:54:34
Thought windass done well in flashes today but always seems to run out of steam! Halliday and holt just ain't good enough! A proper hammer thrower in there and someone who just wants tbe ball for 90 minutes! Not sure who wouldbe available in our price range but this muat be addressdd.

31 Dec 2016 14:19:56
If Warburton doesn't go the gap will only get wider and wider. A good manager looks at what he has and thinks about how he can get the best out of them. Warburton is persisting with his philosophy regardless of whether he has the player to suit or not.

31 Dec 2016 14:25:25
Hes a scared to drop certain players tavernier for 1 he's is never a defender in a million years. Haliday is not a cm. What does weir do in training the goal from the corner is a total joke.

31 Dec 2016 14:34:49
Tav is a joke at 2nd goal, and Harry not passing to dodoo is a disgrace, but I enjoyed the game.

31 Dec 2016 14:36:57
Why hodson never played is really surprising, can't understand that today, but wee Barry was superb.

31 Dec 2016 14:37:23
How does a danger man like Demeble get time to take a touch, let the ball bounce and hit a half voley totally unmarked from 8 yards?!?!

31 Dec 2016 15:21:05
The manager has shown flexibility since the Hearts game at Tynecastle. He has a philosophy but has prepared to modify it as circumstances require it. Think the last 6 months have been a big learning curve for the manager and that goes well for the future. The performance and result today was almost accepatahle and if selfish flash Forrester done the right thing and passed to Dodoo we could have got a point. The performance and result against SJ on Wednesday was not acceptable and the result of poor application by the players.

31 Dec 2016 15:21:32
@lwdawson - because the Rangers p! ayer ( Wilson ) who was supposed to be marking him was drawn towards the ball.

31 Dec 2016 15:39:48
The whole team ball watches and chases the ball as a group. Amateur stuff!

There are things the team does which clearly come from the management. The pass back to the keeper then pass out regardless of how much pressure we are under.

31 Dec 2016 15:40:58
The last 6 months, FD? Have you forgotten the last 6 months of last season?

31 Dec 2016 14:17:48
I really hope wee McKay takes a lot of confidence from this game he has been outstanding. His ability is never in question but confidence and consistency can be at times or maybe it's because Wallace didn't play therefore he has the freedom and space to take men on.
That's enough positivity from me Tavernier is still pis* along with Holt and Halliday, Dodoo is just out there for a laugh.

31 Dec 2016 14:35:09
Wee Barry was great today.

31 Dec 2016 14:39:00
Have you agree thought he was stand out for use today .

31 Dec 2016 14:49:20
Appart from losing today I really enjoyed the game, so glad to have this game back, it's been missed.

31 Dec 2016 15:23:28
How can you slag dodoo we didn't get out our half the whole time he was on park. The one break we got he made a great run and forrester 2 greedy to pass or he was in.

31 Dec 2016 14:14:29
Foderingham, McKay and Clint Hill were all very good today. In fact the first two were sensational. Tavernier was also pretty good. But if we are to ever challenge Celtic then we need a better standard of player. I liked Danny Wilson but he was awful today. McKay is our only player who can change a game from nothing. Niko can as well but who knows if we will ever see him again. Celtic have 5/ 6 game changers. We seem to have a system that works now with 3 at the back. A good cb and a game changer on loan will see us through. Major rebuilding needed in summer though. MAJOR REBUILDING.

31 Dec 2016 14:18:40
I agree with first part but tav was rotten.

31 Dec 2016 14:23:05
We didn't deserve anything based on the 2nd half and wer lucky to get away with a 1-2 but what was forrester thinking abt when its 2v1 and its the easiest of passes to make wnd he tries to take the man on. infuriating doesn't come close to how i felt😡.

31 Dec 2016 14:28:33
I agree, our second half was horrid. There's a massive gap between us and the Celtic. I screamed at my TV when forrester didn't pass it.

I thought Tav was decent, got a few good balls into the box etc.

31 Dec 2016 14:51:33
Your not the only one, if I was dodoo I would have went mental at him.

31 Dec 2016 14:52:46
Sorry Spoc tav cost us with the 2nd goal, we must find investment.

31 Dec 2016 15:56:51
Tav has been posted missing at more goals this season tban anyone else.

31 Dec 2016 14:13:10
There better in every position and best team won. We have far too many poor players. No attacking threat no creative player McKay only one who can offer something. Tav kiernan Waghorn Halliday need shipped out. Manager tactically useless playing too many players out of position.

31 Dec 2016 14:06:48
Forrester greedy greedy greedy, all he had to do was pass to doodo.

31 Dec 2016 14:15:01
Who would have probably missed!

31 Dec 2016 14:24:12
I find it absolutley shocking that he didn't pass it. it was the simplest of passes to make.

31 Dec 2016 14:52:41
Terrible that he did not pass, and Dodoo definitely would NOT have missed. Very poor judgment. Mckay immense today.

31 Dec 2016 15:01:56
Embarrassing, absolutely no fight shown when we were 1 up, brown would've been sent off if we kept going he lost it in the first half and we let Celtic back into it.
Also it's horrible to say but we need somebody like brown in midfield cause Halliday is awful can't control, dictate nothing.
McKay and miller were the only decent outfield players.

31 Dec 2016 15:17:04
Couldn't believe when forester didn't pass to dodoo and how did Miller manage to miss his chance.

31 Dec 2016 16:00:36
Yeah forrester should have passed but was a great tackle by CB and plenty of strikers would have done the same thing waghorn had a chance to square a ball aswell when through and made a mess of it.

31 Dec 2016 14:05:16
Absolute disgrace Warburton, windass easily best of our 3 midfielders and gets the hook again so his 2 favourites halliday and Holt can stay on again! Shocking decision making again Holt brings nothing to that midfield at least windass wants on the ball.

31 Dec 2016 14:59:57
Rangers should sign tiote off newcastle he's a proper cdm halliday is useless no power no sense of defending no header threat.

31 Dec 2016 14:04:52
WTF was forrester doing there! Shocking.

31 Dec 2016 14:02:32
wee McKay has been outstanding today . I'd get shot of waghorn, I think he's ate more than me over the festive season!

31 Dec 2016 13:41:09
I stand by my initial assessment, except I would like to add a word to it, utter gash is what it is. Lucky it's not 1-4 and I'm posting this 15 mins into second half.

31 Dec 2016 13:52:05
God love them, they held out for a further 5 mins!
I'm away to write an assignment.
I knew we were doomed when I saw our big game changer being brought on and then they responded with Roberts!

31 Dec 2016 13:56:30
Time to get tavernier out of ibrox never a defender wtf is Warburton all about leaves hods on out and plays centre half at left back.

31 Dec 2016 13:37:06
Fodderingham's distribution and decision making with the ball is shocking but hey nothing new there.

31 Dec 2016 14:11:27
Aye and it would be 10 if itwasnt for him! Blame our 2nd rate manager who wants us to pass out from back like Barcelona when we're clearly not good enough!

31 Dec 2016 15:24:16
Can't believe the goalie is getting stick. I thought he was absolutely brilliant. Agree we are just not good enough all over the pitch. Riding our luck at times but could've nicked it with Miller's effort and Harry Fotrester's poor decision not to play Dodoo in for a sitter. Maybe this game will show the McKay doubters as to if he can cut it at this level. I thought he and Foderingham were our shining lights today. Ah well, at least it wasn't a humiliation. Pity because they have weaknesses at the back and can be got at. I think we will finish second quite comfortably as we are better than both Hearts and the sheep.

31 Dec 2016 13:34:48
We're worse with 3 at back than 4. None of them got positional sence or going with there men.

31 Dec 2016 13:27:10
The minute silence was very well observed, well done both sets of fans.

31 Dec 2016 14:17:23
Shame the Rangers fans can't show the same level of respect with their chants, especially given what is happening across world football at the minute.

31 Dec 2016 14:56:18
Pathetic patient with his usual drivel. The 'holier than thou' attitude that Celtic fans like to portray along with the victim card. Unfortunately for you, and like the Celtic fans, it doesn't wash. Both sets of fans are a disgrace at times.

31 Dec 2016 15:20:53
This coming from a guy who resorts to name calling?

And for the record, this isn't about Celtic fans - as much as you love it to be. I'm responding to a comment about today. I'll call Celtic fans out for something I don't agree with - and frequently do.

As for your comment, I'm assuming you can show me where I say anything specific about Celtic fans or playing the victim card, or about being 'holier than thou'?

I'll wait patiently whilst you:

a. try to deflect,
b. think of a strawman,
c. bring in some whataboutery,
or
d. (a Seeker favourite) just ignore the question and chime in at a later date.

31 Dec 2016 13:14:58
Unbelievable amount ot time and space for Dembele to bring ball down and score. Kiernan and Wilson are a worry for me.

31 Dec 2016 13:21:39
Every game Hallyday gives 1 or 2 dangerous passes which puts other team through.

31 Dec 2016 13:22:48
Wilson left his man dembelle to win a ball two others were attacking.

31 Dec 2016 12:57:36
What has happened to Halliday every time he gets the ball I start to panic, it's been a good game but every time Celtic go up the park they look like scoring, even though they ain't playing well.

31 Dec 2016 13:17:02
Hallidays bn a nightmare mate. that dembele hadnt even touched the ball until he scored, Sinclairs the one i'm worried abt most. mckay looks our best bet for a matchwinner.

31 Dec 2016 13:18:39
I agree. He is becoming liability. Crooks needs to be given a chance as does dodoo. Waghorn not been in it.

31 Dec 2016 13:24:21
McKay has been superb first half.

31 Dec 2016 11:42:07
Thought Waghorn would be starting.

31 Dec 2016 11:50:47
I didn't.

31 Dec 2016 11:54:41
Hodson should be starting.

31 Dec 2016 11:21:37
Happy new year everyone, really looking for a good performance today and a win come on the gers 🇬🇧🔴🔵⚪️.

Does anyone have a spare ticket for the game today for my other half!

31 Dec 2016 10:33:46
Can I wish everyone a safe and happy new yr, ed, s thanks for all your work on these sites, right onto today's game, I'm not expecting a win today, what I want is for those 14 guys to give there all and remember what that jersey means to people, show them they are in our house today and don't go down without fighting, leave it all on the pitch, regardless of the result I hope it passes without trouble in the stands and outside the ground. all the best guys and girls for 2017 stay safe.

{Ed001's Note - Happy New Year to you too Del and everyone else. May 2017 bring you much happiness and joy.}

31 Dec 2016 12:18:40
Thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

31 Dec 2016 08:35:13
Right bears I hope we get the win today but if the worst happens I hope we don't go without a fight. Happy new year to yous all when it comes.

31 Dec 2016 10:27:00
Bears, I want to know how much you think King will giv Warbs nxt summer for transfers? I don't think that we can read too much into the business we do in Jan as no matter how much we spend the gap between us and Celtic is just too big. IMO I think we could achieve 2nd with our current squad although I would like to see 2-3 players brought in and if they are all loans I'm fine with that, but nxt season we MUST qualify for the group stages of the Europa AND I think that the offer of European football can obviously help with transfers. If we were to get drawn against the same type of teams as Hearts and the sheep I truly feel we could progress! So how much do you think King will make available to Warbs? my guess is between £3-5m, I hope its more Bears but with wages included I can't see it being anymore than that prob closer to 3m. So let me know your thoughts on this Bears.

31 Dec 2016 11:58:41
I would give him nothing in the Jan window and if he can't finish 2nd with the squad he has then the only thing he would get in the summer would be his P45.

The man is a poor excuse for a manager.

31 Dec 2016 08:18:49
Can i wish a happy new year to all bears, bhoys, sheep, etc who contribute, a special thanks to the staff who monitor this site.

Let's hope for a violence free game, with no arrests, no damage to the stadium, with respect paid during the minutes silence.

I still remember my late fathers tears, when he learned that a work mate had died at the game. RIP to those who perished, and thoughts to families still mourning at this time of the year.

Hope you all enjoy the game, however can't wish the bears the best lol.

I have a party for sixty plus mixed supporters to organise over the next few hours, plenty beer in coolers, sunny sky, temps in 30s, roll on 5.45pm Indian standard time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

{Ed001's Note - Happy New Year to you and everyone who visits the site. I just hope you all get home safely.}

31 Dec 2016 08:44:16
Cheers ed, straight to beach after the match, midnight comes for us 5.5 hours earlier than uk.

Its good to have the old firm match earlier, gives everyone a chance to get the kilt on a few hours early.

For rafbob, got my blue raf kilt on, however it's still outshined by the green and white hoops top.

{Ed001's Note - whereabouts are you?}

31 Dec 2016 08:46:51
Goa, west coast of India.

{Ed001's Note - very nice.}

31 Dec 2016 09:11:22
Have a good day scout, though I will say that sounds like a terrible mixture of colour you will be wearing haha!

Enjoy yourself and have a good new year. 👍.

31 Dec 2016 11:08:15
The only gifting we should see should be on the pitch! And I don't mean literal fighting lol! Happy new year to all.

31 Dec 2016 11:18:59
Some douche disagrees, oh however will our lives go on now?!

Get a grip of yourself.

Thanks Eds for all the work yous do and especially for putting up with, what must be endless pages of pish from some of our patrons.

Have a good day and a happy new year. 👍.

{Ed001's Note - cheers Raf, happy new year to you too mate. All the best for 2017.}

31 Dec 2016 06:49:49
Just reading some posts this morning. Facts are Celtic are flying at the moment and are playing with confidence. Rangers however are struggling with no confidence and are sore to watch at times. The reason for this is we don't have premiership type players, their limit was in the championship, that is very evident for all to see. We are miles behind Celtic and for that reason I simply can't see us getting a victory today.

31 Dec 2016 11:09:09
They're a good team but they think they are better than what they are. Stop brown you stop Celtic. They can bum up sinclair, rogic, dembele as much as they want but Celtic start and stop with brown.
