Re ibrox expansion. .there was talk of 3rd tier on govan stand a while ago but pulled for cash reasons. you could also fill in both corners of main stand.
players i would like to think we could sign. .
conway, alan smith (newcastle) cammy bell (killie, if mcgregor sold) michael owen (pay as you play)
the tiger - looking forward to whyte and ellis unfurling the flag next season!

Wouldnt read to much into Goodwillies new contract, hes probably just making sure Utd get a decent transfer fee. How often have we seen players sign new contracts only to move on the next transfer window, happens pretty regularly.

Fellow bears please don't get to excited yet about this takeover been done and dusted there is still a huge chance that sir david murry will pull the plug

Totally agree, Murray is too shrewd to sell his shares in a company that has a £50m a year turnover for the reported £6m. The deal is supposedly Whyte pays Lloyds £17m towards the £21m debt and the other £4m will be paid off over the next 4 years. He then has to pay £6m to Murray for his shares but will Murray be willing to sell so cheaply when he knows that:
1. Rangers debt is down to £21m (plus this years champions league money is still to be paid 10-12m)

2.Rangers fans are now willing to accept less profile signings & loan deals so the now lower wage bill can only boost rangers coughers!

I think the deal is getting nearer to an end but I still think this could go both ways.

Watch this space,

The pilot!

I'd like to see us make a move for nigel reo coker.wee hardy player would help us. Also make a move for goodwillie regardless of rape allegations.chances ed? {Ed001's Note - Nigel Reo-Coker is on a ridiculous wage, it was one of the things that caused Lerner and MON to fall out, players like him getting massive wages and then not playing. I just can't see any way the club could afford, nor want to afford for that matter, to pay him. Goodwillie was supposedly all set before his off-field issues reared their head, with him having signed a contract extension it makes you think he might be a little upset with Rangers pulling out of the deal.}

i agree with you bud i've got this horrible feeling DM is going to f### this up for the gers fans because we've slashed our debt and he probably thinks it can continue. i'm not getting excited until the deals done.

Re: Slashing the debt is only really beneficial to Lloyds as this stage. Murray wasnt out he has been in this position for a long time now and he says he wanna if this deal was gonna fall thro it would have done by now dinnae worry son.

My my my.what a pityful buch ceptic supporters are. now theve moved on to ibrox needing repairs. can you not see ya bums your letting yourselves down to the extent people are now laughing at you. your a joke. when ibrox gets any repairs required what ever will it be next? maybe the loo paper at parkhead is softer than the stuff at ibrox. face it ceptic.you are heading into a wilderness of dark years. and nothings gona change that.

Is it true about Kyle Bartley? If so that could be a big blow for rangers as i feel he has done a mence job for the bears. Especially with Boogie out for 3 weeks.

If the deal from the whyte night goes through I would like to see us make an attempt to get niko krankjar from spurs.European footabll should persude him. and also a good centre back and a holding midfielder. whats the chances and have u any suggestions ed? {Ed001's Note - I can't see Krancjar moving up to Scotland, he has a lot of clubs after him. I would suggest making Bartley's move permanent (if possible) and looking at other youth products around Europe that need first team football. If you are after a holding midfielder a loan move for Liverpool's Connor Coady might be a good move for both parties. That lad is very reminiscent of Gerrard, he is top class and has been training with the first team for a while despite only being a kid.}

To the celtic fans in denial - what do you know about asbestos? it is only a problem if it is touched, moved or broken up. therefore would only be an issue if ibrox was to be extended. (would be good) majority of buildings (and most possibly the skip you are living in now) have asbestos and it is fine to leave it alone. secondly my ill informed friend, the problem at ibrox is nothing to do with asbestos (although there will be asbestos there because of age of building) it is to do with lead water pipes (ive never heard of asbestos flooding property like ibrox got flooded in november) the company doing the work in november have quoted £15,000 to replace them. add that to cost of screens and other general maintenance and the bill is no-where near 12mill (wishfull thinking by the "celtic-minded"). tax money will be dealt with by outgoing chairman sir david murray. assest stripper ellis as you call him can have his eye on whatever he wants, he will have to answer to rangers fan whyte as he only has 25% stake. any other questions?
while we are posting rumours about next seasons squad, why not pop back to your own page and start posting rumours about who will be the celtic manager at celtic next season when lennon wins nothing, goes mental and the fuse in his small brain explodes and gets sacked before being sectioned under mental health act for muttering thunder and paradise over and over and over and over.

To the bitter Celtic fan who posted earlier. You and no doubt many others are clearly annoyed about the takeover looking imminent and rightfully so. Celtics debt is increasing and their wage structure of paying players £30,000 a week is not sustainable in Scotland anymore as Rangers have shown especially without CL money which Celtic haven't had for two years and in all likeliness won't have it next season. For the past couple of seasons Rangers have been dominant whilst reducing the wage bill and spending very little. Now, no debt, no tax liability, and a reasonable transfer budget of £5 million plus and remember fellow Gers that is a minimum the excludes potential profits and sale of other players. Celtic fans your club missed its chance to dominate now they may regret their missed opportunity.
