di you think ally will do away with the youth now he can get a better class of player in now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Let's hope he's not that stupid. McLeod in a few years time will be better than anyone we have currently

Agree0 Disagree0

No, there will be no more important player next season than Lewis McLeod. he's the new Steve Davis.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will bin the youth in a heart beat

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 10:33:18
Poor Lewis eh, so he's good enough to get you through the leagues then he's punted because he's not worth the wages, just like Steve Davis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think the good folks on here and elsewhere would be happy if the youth gave the same performances as they did in SFL3?

I guarantee it would be Ally's head they would be calling for

We have decent young players, key word being decent, not great, not exceptional, just decent

I'd ask everyone moaning about youth players to make up their minds about what exactly they want from the team and the manager

It's either a team of youngsters or humping the rest of the division on a weekly basis, you can't have both, no matter how much you complain

Agree0 Disagree0

The new steve davis haha aye because the old one was fantastic and he's setting the heather on fire down south another media myth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody wants another steven Davis, was a good player but inconsistent. McLeod is a different breed from Davis with bags of potential. Take your pessimism elsewhere, too much of it on this site.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 who really cares what he's doing down south, he was a cracking wee player for us, was part of a side that got to a uefa cup final and won 3 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis has been playing very well for sfc since xmas. Can more than hold his own in epl. he's found his level. Bottom half of epl standard. Which is about 2 divisions above SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Despite the fact that we're all experts on this site, no one here knows class and ability better than McCoist and Durrant. Ally gave the youth every chance possible and some took it, some didn't. He'll stand by those that shone. For me the two stand outs were McLeod and Mitchell. Who can blame the manager if he ditches some? Sir Alex wouldn't have lasted two seasons at Manchester United if he'd relied on his youth team.

Agree0 Disagree0

@10: you don't win anything with kids, eh? lol

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to have a blend of experience and youth, and Mcleod is good enough to be included in the starting 11.

Agree0 Disagree0

N11 we won the division we played in with kids

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 23:52:56
Aye murdo's not as fast as he used to be but he'd defo hold down a first team spot going by last seasons showings.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2013 07:12:06
@13: never heard that infamous Alan Hansen quote? Anyway, check the ages of last season's team - not many kids in there.

Agree0 Disagree0

N15 it was still won with kids doesn't matter how many my typewas mainlyfor n11

When do the season tickets go on public sale for next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 May 2013 20:10:17
Will Littte get a starting position next season with Clark and daly signed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres a little chance

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll see Daly in defense more than attack so Andy Little will keep his place

Swim said that there are irregularities between Celtics transfer for johnny Russell and SPL votes and that the deal was done a long time ago. There could be an investigation let's make sure it dosnt

Believable0 Unbelievable0

WHAT TRANSFER?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's Swim?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets make sure it doesn't what?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he passed out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he forgot what what he was talking about lol it is saturday remember

now that Rangers seem to be moving on
here, s one. some where to have a drink before the game
some where that's near the park and some where that ain't full tae the gunnels
come on Rangers give us some thing better than milling round the stadium with an hour to go

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you have been on the drink les
The pubs are all busy due to the great number of loyal bears who continue to follow follow, don't think the club can do anything about that
You could splash out for club 72 tkts

Agree0 Disagree0

The crystal palace in town ain't bad, and only out a fiver in a taxi for the 14. 55 dash to your seat!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers moving on? Where to the EPL? The champions league? The scrap yard? The courts? Companies house administration dept?

Greens admission that Whytes solicitors 300 page dossier will keep the club in court for over ten years is hardly moving on.

There can be no moving on until officially signed off accounts are made public, and no season tickets until AFTER the accounts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just have a drink in town then get subway over

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 16:52:08
When are the season tickets being sent out anyone heard?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol old mitty will get you fleeced again -dig deep feady bears

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe craig mather has stated they won't send them out until we know what league we are playing in. BT

Agree0 Disagree0

@2/ Are you serious?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully a week or two after the accounts.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4: so potentially half-way through July?! Don't you think money will be required a wee bit before then?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 14:43:53
its usually juvenile season ticket holders that are picked at random mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 May 2013 14:37:37
Wylde has been released by Bolton, still young and played well when given the chance, give McKay some competition on the left.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What about Templeton? He plays on the left.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Templeton?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 17:29:03
tempeltom will be played just behind the strikers

Agree0 Disagree0

Templeton is the best winger in scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

@4: Really?!

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 a 2nd Div player best in Scotland, yer having a laugh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Temps can also play on the right

Agree0 Disagree0

@6

Name a better winger then, he said he was the best winger in Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt touch him with a barge pole. Another who deserted the club. Lied to fans that he left so others jobs could be saved then low and behold signs for Bolton a week later. A club who had earlier tried to sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 he's not even in the scotland b team!

Agree0 Disagree0

@9: how did he lie? He left and saved the club money - was he then supposed to just kick his heels until the summer?

Agree0 Disagree0

@8: Gary Mackay-Steven for a start.

Agree0 Disagree0

Commons Is ten times better than templeton

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary Mackay-Stevens is ten times better than Commons which makes him nearly twice as good as Temps or is my counting as bad as (13)s?

Agree0 Disagree0

A fit James Forrest is better than any of those 3 names mentioned. The fact he gets picked in the scotland squad ahead of those 3 also reflects this. When he was a hearts player Templeton couldn't even get a cap under Craig Levein, a bigger Jambo you won't find. He was dropped for 5-1 cup final win over Hibs aswell. Consistency was always his biggest problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

@11 he lied by saying he was leaving to save jobs when he had Bolton lined up and as it turned out the English FA denied him the chance to be registered to play so he did kick his heels until the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 14:27:58
Novikovas
Barr
Taouil
Grainger
Smith
Zaliukas

All left hearts, opportunity?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

From that list i'd take novikovas and barr. one no nonesense defender who would cruise the lower leagues and one winger that never fully made it in SPl thro inconsistency however is still reasonably young.

Del

Agree0 Disagree0

Barr or Zaliukas to play alongside McCulloch at the back that's if Goian and Boca move on.

to baybear mate f*k the supporters groups I think your the man to lead us fans to ibrox demanding answers cause your the only person with good valid points plus all on here would follow so come on baybear lead the troops

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm not going to be rushing to join the RST or anybody else anytime soon but I must say Baybear certainly talks a lot sense than Mark Dingwall.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would join you babybear. RM

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry for the late reply troops, been away camping with the wee man.
What can I say, I'm humbled to say the least. Cheers for the vote of confidence, all I do is say it as I see it like the rest of you to be honest. Think it's important to have your opinion but not be afraid to see the point of view of others; and also admit when you may be wrong. That said, it's one thing being an anonymous poster, quite another being a frontman for a cause. Can't say I have any desire for my 15 mins of fame but I do want to help make changes and save my club like the rest of you.
As for the RST, I like to think I'm a man of my word and therefore I did what I said I would and paid my £10 yesterday. I have no intention of being a silent member and can only promise I will use this membership to voice my opinions and push for change. Hopefully my opinions/ideas will continue to strike a chord with some of you but there are plenty of folk that don't agree with me which is fine. However, to all the people who find themselves disagreeing more than agreeing with me can I make a suggestion. I will be putting my opinion and the opinion of others forward. Would it not be better that you also had this opportunity? There is more strength in numbers bears. The more of you who sign up the more you can change the RST (or any other association) into one that truly represents us all. Bear in mind the RST already have a profile, they already have a share scheme structure in place and most importantly they already have a foot in the door. I don't see the benefit in starting from the beginning when this is already in place. These organisations can be anything you want them to be, you just need to make your voice heard.
Onwards and upwards troops!

So pissed off with the farce coming out of Ibrox, Whyte and green have no links to Sevco Scotland, off course they don't, but they certainly had links to sevco 5088 who where giving preferred bidder status, Green was never giving preferred bidder status, he was taken by the hand to the negotiating table by Whyte for Whyte and then saw a opportunity to grab the Club for himself, he shafted the man that was feeding him, remember when they purchased the club they struggled to get the money together, he just like whyte are chancers looking for a quick buck not caring who they stamp on, don't think for one minute this is over with, other investigations will reveal the real truth by looking in the right places, I hope Both Venture Capitalist's and D&P will get what they deserve, F&&king Jailed. Hugh & Dave

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think I remember D&P being cleared by their ombudsman?
The Pinsent Mason investigation was only to establish the non link of CW to Rangers.
If Whyte wants to take CG and IA to court that's fine.
The worst case scenario I see is the club gets put up for sale again, new investors? New Buyer? Step forward "The fans"? Dave King?
Tht's how I see it anyway. I'm no expert in corporate law, but thinking logically, if "Rangers" did nothing wrong, and individual spivs did, then we may get rid of them. If they didn't, then onwards and upwards.

P. O. B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte will be going to jail soon and that will be the end of the matter

Agree0 Disagree0

The PM investigation established no link between and Sevco 5088 but not Sevco Scotland. In short, a fudge. What's on that?

Agree0 Disagree0

We managed to dodge the bullet last year in that we avoided Celtic. This will not happen this year. Do you honestly think this squad Ally is gathering will be good enough to give any SPL team a decent game never mind Celtic? I fear the worse!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What are you talking about? We are rebuilding a team that will hopefully hit the ground running if/ when back in top league. Most important thing is to get 2 back to back promotions now. I still think we are missing out on an excellent opportunity to get more youngsters playing regularly. We should be building the team around them, not the other way round.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ If back to back promotions are the most important thing you can't play a team of youngsters. This is what should have been happening, forget the promotion pressure and build from the ground up with young players. If it takes 5-7 years to reach the top league so be it. This team is adding players to suit Ally's ego.

Agree0 Disagree0

But that "Top League" to which you refer is looking increasingly likely to still be called the SPL. And we all know how much you never want to play in that league again, don't we?

LLSTMF

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt our squad beat 2nd place in spl?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you meet the tic and get hammered who cares? Your lucky to still be playing and it will take you a good few years to get back up there. Get real with your expectations and build sustainably. HH joe

Agree0 Disagree0

OP. No we will get stuffed again, not necessarily down to the players though.

1. "Hit the ground running"? in the 2 dreadful seasons McCoist has been in charge I've yet to see them break into a canter, McCoist is like a rabbit in the headlights but it looks like we're lumbered with him while Smiths in control.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevie smith, ian black, lee mcculloch, daly, etc hardly guy who can win you the SPL. remembering no europe for the forseeible future until accounts get submitted. so there's no way The Rangers will be able to attract any better than the players they are currently signing.

with the exception of templeton, not one rangers player is valued at anything over 300-400k.

Agree0 Disagree0

Said it before we DEFINITELY now have the second best squad in Scotland. If Ally can't put together a couple of decent cup runs next season then that tells you he's an incompetent manager. No excuses this time around.

Agree0 Disagree0

N7 what difrence does it make valuation on players we are not selling any

Agree0 Disagree0

The gers are not scared of the tainted title celtic the squad were getting together will show that 55 and counting

Agree0 Disagree0

@10: why's it tainted? Are Aberdeen's titles from the 80s tainted because Rangers wee p!sh then?

1903

Agree0 Disagree0

@11

Aberdeen have always been pish, you had a good manager for a while, resorted to type ever since.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 what about Lee Wallace?

Agree0 Disagree0

@12: thanks for that but you didn't answer the question. Pish teams don't beat Real Madrid in European finals, though.

Agree0 Disagree0

N14 were aberdeen not the last scotish club to WIN a euro final or was it that other pish team dundee utd

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2013 07:18:31
@15: the last sentence in 14 was ironic - Aberdeen did beat Real in a final, so weren't exactly pish. It wasn't the last European trophy they won either although the Super Cup isn't really won after a final. Not a bad quiz question there: Which Scottish club is the only one to have won two European trophies?

Dundee United haven't won any.

Greg Wylde has left Bolton after negotiating his release. Would love to see him back at gers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Id love to see him cross a ball, boy had pace to burn but no end product, I think mckay will turn out a better player in the long run if nutured correctly and with stevie smith signed it looks like wallace is being pushed into left wing. No need for wylde, aird and mckay have shown enough promise to be back up for the left hand side.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way, he was one of the first rats to desert the ship, let him see he shouldn't have left rangers. w. a. t. p. billy the bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Did the club not move him on to save money in the Jan transfer window? How is that deserting a sinking ship?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure we signed Stevie Smith today. Money is tight lads let's just take it a bit at at time please.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 no. He negotiated his own release. It was amicable with duff and Phelps. It was for his own ends not ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

He agreed to cancel his contract and leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Club didn't move him in january. He left in february as soon as admin was announced. He asked to leave

Agree0 Disagree0

He moved to save the club wages. He offered to play for free but his father was concerned for his mental state being a young man. The boy deserves a second bite.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be one of the last players I would have back at Ibrox. Overrated ( by himself) selfish turncoat if ever I saw one, you are not welcome back

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 17:52:25
the boy offered to play for free selfish omg get a grip don't think u would do that

Agree0 Disagree0

You are wrong, 99% of true Rangers supporters WOULD play for free. At a time when we needed loyalty all he could think about was himself. So best go away Greg as you are not a Rangers supporter and stop pretending to be one by coming on here and typing your nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree good post

Agree0 Disagree0

@11: would they play for free if they had a family to look after? Would you?

Agree0 Disagree0

The answer is YES, any true Rangers fan would play for free, and they would get a paying job in the evening to support their family. You are obviously not a Gers fan so you do not understand the passion we have for our club. I suspect you are from the other side of the city, which would explain your lack of understanding of what it means to play for the best and most successful club in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2013 07:24:48
@14: you suspect incorrectly but you're obviously one of those fans who assumes anyone who says something you disagree with is a Celtic fan - how juvenile.

I'm sure your family would be ecstatic that you were playing for nothing when the club was handing out very generous contracts to others. Passion obviously trumps common and fiscal sense in your world lol

This is a joke all are top players got to average Barclays premier league, if we were in the premier league we would bein the top half of the Premier League

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Please explain what you mean OP?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah maybe the top half in the conference premier league

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 10:07:12
Its good to see our new non executive chairman in the papers today spouting how he will not be a pushover in the boardroom. Its about time Walter and Ally told us important information like who owns the assets, how much money we have left and get rid of everyone of the shocking signings Ally made last summer except Templeton and Bocanegra and Goian need to leave aswell as we are running at a loss without signing every freebie under the sun and thinking we will stand for that. We are in the second division for gods sake get a grip and stop signing duds on thousands of pound a week. when we don't need them for a part time league.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What if we sign div 2 players and not get promotion? We need instant promotion each year. Bit like city or Chelsea a few years back. You have to spend to ensure you reach the goal. It's all about getting to the top. Nothings changed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you 100% Rab, we need clarity and honesty from Smith and McCoist as an ever growing number of us are growing disillusioned with the whole set up. Not one of Allys bargain basement free agents have been even half decent, some we hardly saw if at all, Templeton and Shiels were the only proven players, hopefully Clark will do well for us, but Daly at 30 with his knee problems could be another waste of wages, it seems like a clamour to get "bodies in" again rather than buying players for the first team, I realise there are financial constraints, but surely he should be signing decent defenders not numerous strikers and central midfielders.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 09:10:04
Steve smith signs 2 year deal what's your thought guys I think he will do alright at left back. We seem to getting a good squad together for next season GREAT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We need a right back before getting a left back. Another injury prone player at the club strange signing indeed

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 09:55:55
Guys forget about what's happening in the background, its the team we follow follow! Signings so far are good and the football will be much more pleasing on the eye (he says optimistically). Its small steps. I love a beer or 2 and idgaf who the executive or non executive chairman is for tennents or what the accounts show at year end, its the product I enjoy. back your team and be a true support, I can't believe half of the stuff written in here about not buying a ST, that's not a supporter in my eyes. Rangers will rise again and we are needed more than ever!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's not really up to us to force the board to do one thing or the other. If you're a fan then you need to be there for better or worse, sickness and health.

Agree0 Disagree0

Love this attitude poster we support the Gers through better or worse. let's get behind the team and show the world just why we are the best supporters in the world. Cannot wait for next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@OP and 1. ) I believe I said something similar last week and got shot down in flames guys. Prepare to be given pelters for supporting your club in your own way.

I believe if you are happy with what you are paying for then buy a season ticket, if not, don't. Like you said above OP, if you didn't like Tennents I don't think you would buy it but you're not going to go shouting at the board of Tennents and demand to know who owns this or that or where your money is going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe if they sold you a sh*t pint you would lol

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 08:55:57

You's have had your day, now let us get on with the job in hand.

Good day fellow bears.

Well the last year has been nothing short of scandalous and extremely eventful; our glorious club has been plunged into the depths and stood on the very edge of footballing extinction.

Our own footballing inelegancy: SFA, SFL and even the SPL you's all put in the boot when we were at our lowest, you's bartered a deal to snatch and run with the financial spoils, you even repeatedly twisted the knife with sanctions, and the one that tickled me, you slapped a huge fine on a financially crippled club, beyond me how that one was designed to help us!
Sell out Saturday, there was a laugh, every home game record set, every away day sell our, what can I say. The house the SPL built is crumbling, and still they will not admit they miss the old firm, they need the old firm. Well won't be long now, we will see your money grabbing and shortsightedness is goanna come back to haunt you's, it's a shame, but deep down you'd got ti laugh.

No point on wasting time mentioning Doctor Whyte, his world is closing in on him, he will get his for sure, and thankfully as of the latest independent investigation, we, our club have no link to the shyster, thieving person. The End.

The wee man has a been afforded a wee bit more latitude this year, some money to throw about, not a lot, but from what he has secured so far we are looking to be in the best shape on the field that we have been for some time, (well on paper anyway) still a bit of shoring up to be done and hopefully some dead wood to get rid off, however heading the right way, and yesterday, all hail Sir Walter, how dose it go, disturbance in the force I feel, calming influence we need, well I reckon its happened, what we wanted was Rangers men at the helm, so I can only see great times ahead, big Walter will bring the board together, achieve stability and drive the club forward, we should also be grateful of Chas Green standing down so as not to cripple the share prices, he is a businessman after all, he's never hidden that fact, so don't listen to the dark side, we have to believe its all for the good of the club! We shouldn't boycott season tickets, we need to support our club and leave the successful running to the big boys.

For to long we have had to endure the rantings, lies and attempts to blacken our clubs name, and mostly from the dark side, they seem to spend more time on our site than they do on there own, well all I can say lads, were back see ya soon. I am looking forward to the new season, I am also hopeful we can successfully compete on all fronts.

Happy Bear

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry to put a dampener on it for you but the investigation was a farce and stitch up, there is no link to the new sevco that Green set up, but there has to be a link to the company who where giving preferred bidding status, remember once green shafted whyte he needed money to buy the club and never had any, the guy is a liar and a cheat, thank f&&k he is gone. Green was never giving Preferred Bidder status that honour was whyte FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Spoiled it there by mentioning That Other Team. This journey is ours and ours alone, and we'll be stronger when we come out the other side, however many years away that is.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a total load of nonsense. Your entitled to your opinion mate but you are way off the ball here. Just so many wrong points.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 13:08:59
Almost total fantasy. We don't need these tired diatribes they ate part of the reason why we are where we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 01:17:29
I know its unlikely, but I'd like to see Brown brought in as assistant to Ally to get the passion back in to the team. Ok he probs wouldn't come with Green still on the seen, but I rekon he could make a differemce where we are right now. He wouldn't stand on ceramony and wouldn't put up with sub standard performances. LB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bomber Brown owes rangers nothing he got laughed at by 99% of fans when he questioned Charles green.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know if any of you coming to hillsborough for the friendly, july 24th, but if you are jubilee club landlord is a season ticket holder at ibrox food put on etc, have a good day am on mornings so will be at game, also rhys mcabe is 21 on same day.

Agree0 Disagree0

I must have been in that 1% that wasn't laughing then! Mind you, Green seems to have mustered quite a few laughs after that. unfortunately it was our opposition that were wetting themselves! Still, my point, that kind of character and drive would do our team no harm at all right now! LB
