Interesting that Hugh Keevins should raise the issue of the school the new SFA Compliance Officer went to. I'm sure he did so full well in the knowledge that he went to a RC school, Our Lady's High School in Motherwell.

Now Sceptic won't be able to bleat about anti-Catholic conspiracies if one of their players get done by the Compliance Officer.

I don't give a Monkey's what school he goes to - as long as his bedtime read is not in braille, honestly the one that let Gary O'connor of with his dive - attrious

Why does everyone keep burying their heads in the sand? Most people with sound business accumen seem to believe that administration is a matter of when not if for rangers. Has craig whyte came out and said that rangers will not go into administration? No, quite the opposite. Think he is quoted as saying its a definite possibilty.
To allow things to move on, would it not be sensible to offer the tax man a deal. For example offer to accept liability for the tax, offer £15-20millon as payment (this figure allows craig whyte to remain he main creditor and therefore in control of the administration) put the club into a voluntary administration agreement, hmrc get 20p in the pound, whyte gets rangers on the cheap, take the 10 point deduction staying ahead of celtic in the league, clear whatever debts required at the reduced rate to allow the club to come out of administration before he start of next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its not as easy as that and if we done that who said it would only be a 10 point deduction? am sure dundee got a 20 point deduction and we could also end up banned from europe which is our main income! Hows it when not if? we could win the case and there wont be administration and before you say anything we can win the case..
FauldsRFC

Agree2 Disagree0

Why do you peddle this nonsense.
It doesn't mean a thing.
Forget about tax Stop stoking the fire for the great hordes of the unwashed.
Concentrate on the positive's and we will deal with the adversity if and when it comes.
There is absolutely no point in quoting this person or that person as their views are meaningless until something occurs.
Remember 1 thing Rangers have broken no tax law regarding Tax Avoidance, Arsenal have already dealt with this issue and many more teams will have too but as nothing , Nothing has been decided why speculate it achieves nothing.
12 points clear and Scotland Shameless who enter Europe by the backdoor and look to every advantage through media and misinformation and who would gladly(or rather praying for) take a title by a points deduction. The lowest of the low.
Enjoy our time our team and their unrest forget the rest until it happens or not.

I like ur post but u r forgetting celtic have a game in hand so they probs would go a piont ahead (no big deal right) but what happens when we go into admin and we have to sell off our best players ORlet them go like every other club have had to do when admin, will u be so sure of getting the league then? an im not trying to a downer on us rangers fans thats just the reallity of the situatoin

Craig Whyte has already stated that administration is a possibility.

I cannot see them ever being punted from SPL however a points deduction looks likely - that said I doubt that it will happen this season unless the Bank pull the plug - i.e. do not extend short term overdraft arrangement - I have it on good authority (source in the bank) that the facility is ZERO.

Any excess expenditure is being met personally by Craig Whyte.

Interesting times - theyd struggle to pay a £10 million fine let alone more.

Motherwell for the league £10 for me at 200 - 1 - Interestingly one bookie already down to 66 - 1

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Stop being stupid ! i am enjoying motherwell being second but if we dont win the league it will be celtic ! You have no source in the bank so stop talking rubbish !

T-Bear {Ed001's Note - I don't have to explain anything, but to say a UDF slogan is not political is incredibly naive or stupid.}

i beg to differ Ed the term we are referring to is sung in defiance to the opposition regardless of who they are if you ever watch or go to a rangers game you will notice the song is sung when we concede a goal {Ed001's Note - and why was it started? Oh yes, that's right, because it was a UDF slogan. Leave it out, times have moved on and it is time you moved with them.}

You've got to question why Agents operating on behalf of Donald McIntyre seized medals worth £20k, following McIntyre winning his court case to freeze £300k of Rangers assets. The only reasonable explanation is that Rangers did not have £300k in their bank account.

I wish people wud stop claimin rangers will go in2 admin.... Do u really think craig whyte a successful businessman wud have boght the club if he thought /t wud go to the w what we earn. if we ouall. christ sake th man. he's. like you and I he wud do anythin to help the club. he bought the club for £1 a reckon he knew that this was facin him and wanted to be caustious with his money until it was sorted. None of us wud buy a business and use iur own cash willy nilly knowinin damn well that the club is not in a climate where we can out spend more than we make we wud b another gretna. mf whyte is smarter than we give him credit for. soon he will show everyone what he is doing is the way forward.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Can you lay out what success Craig Whyte has had in business?

Agree2 Disagree2

How do you know Craig Whyte is a successful businessman? What do you know about his business interests? How does he earn a living? Who is he? His company website www.libertycapital.co.uk is very informative!

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry got to the 19th word which was successful & stopped reading.... Can you prove craig white is successful business man? I have a thing on my sky planner showing the ones he's failed at but nothing from what he's 'successful' at ?

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree2

Amazing how these LOSERS can ask such question's. and what is the point. As until things are sorted what does it matter. It's touching that these obvious 2nd placers are so concerned for our club and that the correct people run it but Why it doesn't make a difference until something actually happens. So jog on ya tramp and concern yourself with the implosion at the Porkdome
Dahun12 Winning since 1873 and still pulling away

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster your grammar hasent helped, i mean you didnt even spell whyte correct... but he did make a few points ! everyone is on whytes back when atleast he stood up when we needed someone before the bank squeezed the club dry ! and the bbc programme didnt actually state any facts but most idiots just believe everything they hear i suppose ! and if you do believe everything from that programme why hasent anyone brought the fact up about aj saying the bank told him if the deal doesnt go thru they will cut our credit !! and what idiot still puts their wages into that bank ?? yeah but i suppose whyte is the devil here !!
FauldsRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and lenny, he paid off our debt from the bank for £18m+ and has investments in over 20 business.. He started with 0... id consider that more successful than all of us on this site in terms of earnings !
FauldsRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

To FauldsRFC he hasnt payed 18m of Rangers debt he has simply transferred it anyone with a business could have done what Craig Whyte has done.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has Whyte paid the debt,or moved it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol 18 million ? The same 18 million that if he pulls the plug on rangers he walks away not losing a penny ? He must have done something right to make money that he has but why hasn't these companies came out & said whyte help me & I'm better off ? He says his record speaks for it self but why won't he go into it ? Some rangers fans still can't see by him bit like some fans with Lennon.

Lenny {Ed001's Note - do you really think any TV programme is going to contact companies that have good things to say? Hardly makes for interesting viewing if they are all saying how well he has done for them! Don't be silly please Lenny, you need to use your head, the programme was not a tribute to Whyte, the whole thing was unbalanced and biased against the bloke.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Why do people ask for proof that Whyte has been successful?? The man is a multi millionaire, and has a company that is able to take on our debt from Lloyds!
Dmrangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, didn't mean the bbc programme, there's a big media world out there why don't these people/companies go to other media sources & tell them there stories ?

Use the head on that ?

Lenny {Ed001's Note - why would they? What media source is interested in hearing from people like that? Next you will be asking why the news is just the bad stuff! I think you need to use your head.}

According to Jim Traitor in the Rebel we are to be deducted 25 points for 3 years and we wont be in Europe for 3 years as well, because every body else will want to see us well and truly punished for breaking no laws and evading no tax (avoidance possibly). We will also be grounded for a week and have our beer money reduced for a fortnight depending on who's spouting this drivel, Whats for ye will no go by ye. So forget the only bullet in their chamber.

a we poem for our resident Tim Timalloy

I once knew this guy,
Let's call him Tim
This guy was so Stupid
and rather Dim
He'd spend his dull days
Praying for a Taxman win
Good Christ he was stupid,
This guy we call Tim.
…………………………………………………………..
You could aproach him in public
With a test tube of piss
And if you said to him:
"Here, drink some of this."
He invariably would
And then with your fist
You could punch out his teeth
And he'd thank you for this!
………………………………………………………………..
This bloke is so stupid
this bloke is so thick
infact this bloke is just a Dick
its Taxman this and Taxman that
to be perfectly honest this blokes a prat
……………………………………………………………………….
The last time I saw him
was outside Celtics ground
He was giving out handjobs
for the sum of a poun
…………………………………………………………………….
You would hear him shout
in Lennon we trust
Lets all praise the Taxman
and hope Rangers go bust
…………………………………………………………………..
Hail Hail is his cry
Lenny will bring back the thunder
hes to stupid to see
his board made a blunder
……………………………………………………………………..
Hail Hail is his cry
followed by lie after lie
but he fails to remember
That Champions Cry
NO ....

Ha ha bears, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, oh and your jokes are truly awful, some were not even jokes just the usual anti Celtic stuff.
By the way when you all have to resort to insults I win, a wee history lesson for you bears.
The bigots years ago called all Irish immigrants "timalloys" as a form of insult, but the Irish being proud people, refused to take the insult and said instead "we are PROUD to be Timalloys" so today when you all call this modern day Timalloy all the names you are just reverting to type of your bigoted ancestors. LOL Timalloy (and PROUD of it)

if rangers were to go bust and reform and rename would we have to start the the Scottish 3rd division or is there a chance we could apply to the English fa to play in the England it only took afc Wimbledon 9 years to reach league two in im sure with rangers fans and backing rangers could do that in half the time and if you wur looking at a 12 year plan to reach the epl im sure it would or could be better for rangers in the long run im not even sure if this could happen would just like to hear your thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable1

What would be there in 12 years time........there,s big big changes coming in Europe in general never mind football...cants see the European clubs allowing so much money going to so few rich clubs in there compititions........and do you think England can keep this kind of money slopping about in its clubs no it will end in tears in a few years for some......les

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree, it has to come to an end, the EPL is destroying fair play in football, and I'll use Man C as the prime example, as money is no option. Man.U and Chelsea are now struggling to keep up, it will eventually all end in tears, and I can't wait until all teams can start to compete on a level playing field, as much as is realistic of course. The bigger clubs will always attract the better player, but the spending and wage structure across the board and across Europe needs to become more realistic, in order that it is.............. FAIR. Just use the C/L as an example ! How many teams in the whole of Europe have a chance of winning it? Things need to and will change eventually, too many shoit - average players are making millions in the game, and that is all wrong ! Diddums {Ed001's Note - that is nothing to do with the EPL, Malaga have a sheikh, numerous Russian sides have huge sums of money to spend. PSG have got a multi-billionaire owning them and splashing cash.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed I said it needs to change across Europe, I only used the epl as an example, because all of us, or most of us watch it. These billionaires are only using football teams as a toy, play thing if you like. We on the other hand are brought up watching, supporting and growing to love our football clubs, but how can we realistically compete when it is made easy for a man, or men with endless pits of cash to plough it it endlessly into a team ? Again, i did say across europe. {Ed001's Note - and it has always happened, does it really matter?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Still in 12 years time the epl will still be making more money in tv rights in the spl and thats a fact teams in the champion and league one are better in teams in the spl not just the big clubs in england

Agree2 Disagree0

Rangers have put themselves oot the game to try and get up to top table we failed..........we would have needed to continue spending big big money to stay at the table ,but now the game is a boagie and those that have pushed to hard to get in with the big boys will crash.........dont get me wrong i enjoyed it but we aint the last in the mess thats coming..............les

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, the fact remains, European football has become boring and predictable. not just from a scottish perspective. the likes of steua Bucharest, ajax etc who were big clubs once upon a time can no longer compete. its no fair, boohoohoo

pappy {Ed001's Note - European football was always boring, hard to suggest it has been anything other than predictable when you look back it properly. It is just that Ajax are no longer as big as they were.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Teams in England that have over stretched themselves.......Man untd.......spurs.....newcastle.....liverpool......any one could join leeds at any time, cant think of anyone else does anyone else?

Agree0 Disagree0

Still be making more money [the epl]but i,ll bet my bottom dollar the gravy train has long left the station

Agree0 Disagree0

It all makes you wonder how the likes of Man.Utd will clear that debt of £800mil once the walls come crashing in and the core of there teams over the Sir furious reign has always been the youths, so how come so much debt ? It will all end in tears........ 4 in a row

Naismith definitely fouled him and maaaaybe could have received a yellow if the ref thought it was intentional or if it was in the last 10 minutes of a game. However, Naismith was turning around and either didn't see Milson, or whatever his name is, or he just spotted him and wasn't sure of where the ball was. Either way, absolutely no intent there and its was an absolute 50/50 in the end, even Craig Burley admitted this in the commentary. Q: What's yellow and looks good on a Celtic Fan?
A: A JCB

Q: Do you know what Celtic really stands for?
A: Celtic Even Lost To Inverness Caley. lol !

It's with great sadness that I report Celtic Park was broken into last night. The entire contents of the trophy room were stolen. Strathclyde police are believed to be looking for a man with a green carpet.

Q: What would you call 2 Sellik fans going over a cliff in a green Renualt Espace?
A: A complete waste of space. You could have squeezed 8 of them into one of those.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I have to say, I stopped reading those rags a long time ago due to the persistant non-stories that they were consistantly putting to print. Nothing but lies and conjecture, scaremongering and sensationalism, simply because it pays their wages. The one that really, really sticks in my craw is the infamous and most annoying journo', Leckie !! The amount of cr@p he fires towards us is f***ing rediculous, it's the only way he gets people to read his columns, and by the way both halves of the o/f recieve the same bull**** from him ( in his words we are " the bigot brothers" ). He builds both teams up prior to Euro cup ties, and then absolutely destroy's them if they are beaten, or get a bad result..... He really is the most infuriating, Keevins is more honest than sensational, Traynor just likes you to believe he is a sports writer when his is basically a total fud, what he knows about football you could write on a post-it........... just don't read 'em. 4 in a row....

And with Naisy likely to be out for the rest of the season, does anyone back home have an inside track on when young Ness will play again? He is one of the most promising young Scots midfielders I've seen in a long time, but seems to be invariably sidelined by injury.

I,ve a feeling london bear that rangers will use willie mckay a lot more in transfer dealings,do here what he is doing with doncaster but in a bigger scale combine big players from other clubs who need a shop window with rangers supporting core of our own,who we sell on..........les

just been reading jim traynor's report on our club in the dailly record. never read so many "if's" in the one story. if we lose the tax case, if we go in to admin, if we change our name, if the other spl sides are really angry at us, and on and on and on he drivles. don't read it, you'll never get that time back.

They shout for lennons head, it was not so long ago so many people on here wanted ALLY out before the season got really started, let that be a lesson to us all. Ally has a solid, good team for the Scottish league with hardly any money and constantly reading the fans did not want him.
WELL DONE ALLY hopefully we will get even better as you settle into the job once all the rubbish has stopped off the field

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Lesson, maybe its for the best that there will be european football walter got it for his european efforts so will Ally it was NOT good enough in europe this year ,but its turned out for the best

Agree0 Disagree1

Ally not in Europe has turned out for the best? There will be a cashflow shortfall of over £20million by summer next year because of failure to qualify for Europe.
You can that for the best?

Agree2 Disagree0

As far as settling the team its for the best,as for the club and the £20mill,we were getting nowhere fast in europe maybe time to stand back and stop being humped by s**t teams could ally and the club keep putting up with the dross we have put in in europe, europe would have been a distraction we can do without this year..........i know its late saying this if your in a hole stop digging......if only mr Murray had thought that......get the basics right [the league] then move on to other things,i know we need the euro money to get bye, maybe mr Whyte will stop that? a run in europe maybe a bonus in the near future just a thought?.......les

Can people stop posting about signing jordan rhodes hes valued at 5 million, the days of us spending that money are over

I would love if people would stop posting crap on here. Rangers are NOT looking to settle out of court for 10 million or any other prices. Rangers have done nothing wrong. Unless they used it EBT AFTER the 31st of march 2011. Rangers and no other club broke the law b4 the 31st of March because using the EBT before this WAS NOT illegal. On the HMRC website it states that investigations went on in 2009 and the laws were then changed on 31st of March. So rangers are not liable for any tax before that date. They did not use the EBT to aviod paying tax after this date as it was then braking the law. Thats why Mr Whyte is quietly confident of beating the tax case. Speculation and lies spread by certian media groups and celtic fans are laughing at some of our fans niavity.

I'm not sure but did arsenal not lose an ebt case . i think they did

Agree0 Disagree2

If what you say is true then why would HMRC pursue Rangers unpaid taxes if it all happened before they could enforce the new rules?

That would be the same as being prosecuted for a crime today that wasn't a crime years ago when you committed it.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's why hmrc have lost the 2 previous big ebt cases they ent for. judges ruled they couldn't pursue monies in retrospect. remember the rangers case is a test case.

What about the Daily Rebel and the Sunday Post, The Rebel, Rangers to get 25 points deduction if we go into administration and the Post say's we get a Euro ban.
LETS ban them, poor and biasd views against our great club, this is only to sell paoers to our rivals, look at Celtic, 12 points behind and are as poor a Celtic team as I can remember, but the spin is all about Rangers, lets stop buying thes papers, it's bad enough the BBC and mr Lamont trying to put a bad light on our team.

Fellow bears,

How u all doin?
First of all id like to wish naisy all the best and a speedy recovery. Let's hope it's nt too bad, the wee man has became the main man over the last year to 18 months.

Next, without bein spectacular the team r playin well and r so far ahead of any team in the spl we don't need to worry for now, Bt tht doesn't mean we can get complacent, a few dodgy performances an Motherwell wil b up our arses if they kp up the gd form( goin on celtics current form they will b nowhere near us).

I know timaloy, miko n Lenny like to think they r getting sum banter n bein rly funny with all their school boy remarks but all tht is is them tryin to distract us from the fact they r gash. Tax case tax case tax case, it's all they talk about. Every single one of us know if the tax case goes tits up then we r in the brown stuff. Me personally, i think (from wot I hav read, n I'm nontax expert), we will win. If nt, it will b nowhere near 49 million. N if it is worst case scenario n we r deducted ten points( there's no way rangers wil become insolvent), with the way tht lot r playin we will still cruise it. N I'm nt Jst satin tht becoz ima ger. If it rly goes bad for them we cud b on to at least 6 or 7 in a row.

So bears please ignore the s**tty patter from our usual titleless "friends" n enjoy this season coz we r gony cruise it.

Looking over some of the old celtic post about past managers - They Didn't want Strachan because he was not "Celtic Minded" (what ever that means) he walked after he got fed up with them moaning (despite him winning 3 titles) The wanted ohno mowbray, that was their first choice - they gave him half a season and he was boo'ed and told to take it on the chin and GTF. They begged the board to give the Job to Lennon after he won 8 games on the spin but lost to the Mighty Ross County in the Semis of the Scottish Cup. When Lennon finished second in the League, the Celtic supporters where so impressed by that, they all changed their names by deed poll to " Neil Lennon". Next Sunday, when Motherwell beat Celtic 60,003 people will be made redundant, I wonder who the next manager to hold the poison challice will be,
