Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

03 Apr 2016 20:06:06
I know there's a lot of panic about our defensive performance just now but I think it's nerves because of how close the team is to winning the league as most of the squad haven't won anything before, I'm not worried yet, if we don't beat Dumbarton on Tuesday night, well I will be worried then, we all know new players will arrive in the summer but I wouldn't keep anyone who's out of contract either, let's just keep backing the team as we have done all season and hopefully we get our rewards on Tuesday.

03 Apr 2016 20:49:28
Delboy9, sensible post mate. I think most people will agree with your opinion.

It is, hopefully as you say just nerves and a blip. Still causing a bloody headache though!

Looking forward to Tuesday night, I'll be watching on my phone!

03 Apr 2016 21:50:34
It will be over Tuesday thankfully.

03 Apr 2016 23:00:20
That's a good shout actually del. Something I for one hadn't thought of. Hope you're right and that once we win league and hopefully the cup the team should settle down.
I had stuck up for Wes previously, however I would like to say now that I was wrong, he is as good as he will ever get IMO and that I'm afraid isn't good enough for Rangers. As for the central defence, well I think we all know they aren't up to the task. Sorry if this seems harsh and a bit negative, I'm only giving my opinion. I've loved this season and how we've been playing but with next season in mind, some of our personnel will need upgraded because they simply are not good enough.

03 Apr 2016 20:41:25
at this moment in time there is no panic promotion is assured unles there is miracle of gigantic proportions warburton had only a few weeks to get a team together and i am quite sure he knows what's needed for next season and has been active in sorting things out its a case of more of the same.

04 Apr 2016 00:05:45
Delboy9

It's not panic it's people seeing how bad we are defensively and commenting on it. Panic is what our defenders now do every time the ball goes into the box. The 3rd goal on Saturday was comical defending wouldn't have expected a under 8 team to defend like that. Still can't believe how shocking that goal was.

04 Apr 2016 13:58:15
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion biffo btw when I said don't keep any players who are out of contract I wasn't talking about forrester, I was talking about law, shiels, Clark, bell those players who have been at ibrox for 3 years, biffo one small point mate, our defensive display before the last 3 games was solid, we had something like 8 or 9 clean sheets, that's why I think it's nerves, plus the way we play with our fullbacks pushing right up doesn't help Wilson and kiernan but new players will arrive in the summer.

04 Apr 2016 07:57:32
Careful biffo, the defenders of the faith will be onto you, Imo hearts didn't let Wilson go for nothing, I don't think he would have been in their team this season, Liverpool very quickly realized they had bought a pup, big Davie carried him at ibrox, and maybe was blinded by a sense of loyalty and being his mentor believed that the boy had matured and could now take the mantle of Davie, and king richard, he isn't even close to their calibre?

Hate to say it but I never believed the hype around Danny when he was younger, the Rangers centre half is a hard position fir anyone, but we have had some of the best, I'm sure warbs n co now know they need to find that quality and fix a defense which is so poor, centre half's breed confidence in keepers and central midfielders, let's hope he can find a way to compete against septic, but its a real concern that wilson/ keirnan could be bullied out of the game, anyway we have a league to win, so we should enjoy that and not expect victory over them, not yet, just let us compete and keep our dignity.

04 Apr 2016 15:33:54
Pie and Bovril: Correct, that's how Warbs will see it too as he has to make the decisions for next season, some have played their part in the journey and now is time for them to now depart and others can come in to continue it.

03 Apr 2016 17:05:30
There is a lot of talk about new central defenders and a defensive midfielder any ideas as to who we could get for a reasonable price as I don't think we have loads of money for new players.

03 Apr 2016 17:31:20
MW will hopefully already know who he wants. Need them that's for sure.

03 Apr 2016 18:49:03
I would put money on an experienced D. M being the first signing.

I would hope one C. B who is also well experienced.

We need a player at the back who has as much influence on the team as Miller does up front.

03 Apr 2016 19:26:39
Liam Bridcutt *****.

04 Apr 2016 08:00:19
Bridcutt may not be a bad shout mate, another Hurlock, would be good, and a Stuart mcCall type would be a dream, but first, a king 👑 Richard at the back.

03 Apr 2016 14:42:08
Harry Forrester needs a new contract fast.

03 Apr 2016 18:12:32
I was impressed that he not only looked dangerous against Raith but also looked well up for it. He had determination and passion in his face.

03 Apr 2016 18:53:22
Definitely the face of a lad who wants to wear the shirt every week.

After watching his relentless effort and tenacity in the past few matches, I would say he will be a good player for us next year.

03 Apr 2016 14:02:16
yesterday was just another indication of the fragility of our defence. three goals lost to nobody. WARBS must be desperate for a decent centre half.

03 Apr 2016 15:31:41
Agreed. Yesterday was the first time this season that I've seen us punt the ball out from the back - and that was in the last 15 minutes when they were pressing. And nearly every time Fod did it we lost possession.

Time for cool heads and perhaps some experience (but not Terry) .

How many of the current squad have ever won serious silverware? Wallace? Miller? That's it I think. We're on a big learning curve.

It'll be good to get it over with.

03 Apr 2016 16:54:07
The back five are more like the Glasgow Strangers than the Glasgow Rangers. The Ibrox Noise blog makes a good point that we need a Davie Weir figure, an old head to keep calm when games get tight. Roll on Tuesday night when we will officially be back were we have always belonged.

03 Apr 2016 18:36:05
TrueBlue. I think if we just admit we are a new club, we get more respect from other clubs supporters.
And as a new club, we can`t be back to somewhere we`ve never been.

03 Apr 2016 19:30:30
Bluebeard, we don't need respect from a ragamuffin band of people that support teams like Dundee United, (that will hopefully be relegated) , Patrick Thistle, (what a joke of a club) , and the bhoys. We are Rangers always have been always will be. We are the chosen few, why should we worry about the fans of other clubs in Scotland, the sooner we get back to where we belong the better!

03 Apr 2016 19:24:48
Bluebeard why would we just give in and say we're a new club when this is total fabrication and has been officially stated by a lord in the court of law, if these other biased fans want to think that and sing about that let them but us teddy bears know different, we're still the same famous glasgow rangers and all us rangers fans know this, well most of us!

04 Apr 2016 05:13:50
Warburton LNS was not sitting in any official legal capacity. - he has long retired. WhatvCharles Green's lawyer did say in court was that you were a new club and the learned judge concurred with that statement during the hearing.

03 Apr 2016 12:36:28
Tom Tom
You say that you are more of a Rangers fan than me. Then why is it you revel in our adversity? You never have anything positive to say about anything except when the subject of Celtic comes up or you are extolling the virtues of premier opposition. I have followed the club home and away and I've been at most European games so don't er say you are more of a supporter than me. I respect what people have to say on these sites even if I don't agree with them, but some of your comments towards people like myself and the likes of Warburton the fifteenth are just plain rude and downright scandalous. Warbs clearly loves our club as I do and it's not right to come on and ridicule everything that is said as if you were the only person to ever have played the game. Sorry Ed but was just taking a look at my profile and didn't realise what had been said recently. Had to get it off my chest.

03 Apr 2016 13:03:13
The whole negative/ positive stuff is really idiotic- it's people's opinions, we are all entitled to them. There's good and bad in every situation, burying heads in sand is just as bad as over the top criticism or unrealistic demands.

Anyone claiming they love the club more/ are bigger/ better supporters is equally idiotic. We are all rangers fans and we all want the best for the club we support - perhaps the few Celtic fans who have crawled out from under some rocks and joined us on the rangers banter page.

03 Apr 2016 13:27:16
Seeker all I see from him is negativity or obsessing about Celtic.

03 Apr 2016 14:17:10
Luigi
I agree it is all about opinions but some posters try and make their points by trying to ridicule those of us who don't necessarily agree with them

Sea of Ibrox
Couldn't agree more mate. It's as if he wants the team and management to fail.

03 Apr 2016 14:45:54
We might have drawn yesterday and conceded 3 which are downpoints but it was a good game to watch lol look for the positives.

03 Apr 2016 14:52:06
The only positive was there was only 3 negatives.

03 Apr 2016 16:16:43
Luigi, agree with your first paragraph 100%.

For some in a matter of a fortnight we have went from a team with better players then the Scottish champions to a team that should fear Peterhead.

Some perspective needed guys.

03 Apr 2016 16:09:21
Aye very good, I despise sellik, I love Rangers, end of, now. when i post its because I've seen many Gers fans declared we we're going to win everything going. I only point out that our defense is awful, and we are not at the same level as them, yet, and by quite a way actually, most people in the game or with some knowledge are aware of that fact, now be assured my love for Rangers will never die.

you don't like the fact I pulled you on your recent post that we were 2 up against Falkirk after 10 mins, you posted how great we were, what happened? I simply have recently taken to pointing out how far we have to go.

when I first came on here, nearly 4 yrs ago I was arguing every day with time on here gloating, and i attended meetings outside ibrox to try and raise cash to help us, so please don't tell me I praise sellik. I never once did, I said Griffiths and Roberts will tear our defence to shreds if they play, and i think broon will bully the kids along with then throwing the big centre half's at Wilson and keirnan. In effect mate, I've never said a good word bout sellik and never will, but if you think THIS defense will cope I pray you're right
Tommy.

04 Apr 2016 16:47:41
Think we need a kind of arrogant, tough guy in midfield to dish out a bit of bullying ourselves.

03 Apr 2016 12:20:58
Next season is it possible to keep Tavernier largely back in defence and leave O'Halloran or Waghorn to be the right sided link player?

03 Apr 2016 17:23:22
Scotjo i think ohallarn should be playing in a central role,

03 Apr 2016 17:38:27
I think you r probably right.

03 Apr 2016 16:50:34
Would be good, if he could defend. mate.

03 Apr 2016 12:05:46
The dundee game was by far the best performance this season. We hadn't saw before and we haven't saw since a performance like that. We had great performances in some other games, hibs 6-2, 4-2 etc, but the dundee game for me was a different level. Why can't we play like that most weeks, after all they have proved that they can play like that so they have set there own benchmark. Every player was outstanding that day. I don't make excuses for us and we can't make excuses. We are very poor at defending and to be honest the warning signs have been there all season about our defence. My point is this for us to cope as we are in the spl we would need to play at the level we did against dundee every week. Which wouldn't happen. So comparing league stats with celtic to guage how we will peform against them is ridiculous. They, who aren't in great form and with very little effort, comfortably beat a good hearts side yesterday who played well. We would like to think that we are on a level par with hearts as most suggest there is no gap between the spl and the championship? Turn it up.

03 Apr 2016 14:02:51
Totally agree Coldo, and I think our biggest problem is complacency and concentration. I feel we need, and this is nothing against Wallace, a strong captain in the mould of John Greig. No matter how he played, he had the ability to motivate the team. Wallace is a really good player and has turned into a real asset in our ranks, but I would love to see us with a grumpy, hard man motivating our team, playing in a defensive mid-field position.

03 Apr 2016 15:28:37
Billy b: Good point, someone like that could only help the team to remain focussed at all times, it might not always work of course, but someone in that mould, a moaning git who would be on the player's cases when defending corners etc would be a bonus. Aberdeen successful teams had it in Miller, Man Utd had Keane, but that is what an experienced head probably in the middle of midfield could do for us.

02 Apr 2016 21:59:46
Since Warbs likes dipping in to the loan market and had links at Tottenham and arsenal what about the big striker from arsenal Yaya Sanogo been sent on loan a few times and is doing well at charlton. Just a thought.

03 Apr 2016 09:49:52
Is it me fellow bears or are all the same problems re surfacing yet again we seem to be looking a lot in to the loan market when conceded 9 goals last 3 games we need consitency and just no defence all over the place and is king going to spend money i watch his interviews go to games and read up on othe news daily and its been well spoken but still don't think we have money to spend in the summer and if so very little are we been misled again?

03 Apr 2016 11:00:37
Morning fellow Bears, just a quick question, unfortunately I can't make it up for the game Tuesday, so I was wondering if the game is likely to be streamed live anywhere or because there is champions league football it will be the same scenario as the killie cup game, I sincerely hope not as was planning a title party and Wednesday off, any help on this would be appreciated, also for all attending the match enjoy the celebrations and rock the night away.

03 Apr 2016 11:08:56
It will more than likely be streamed on vip league mate.

03 Apr 2016 11:20:50
Soon Bear: I could only see the Partick V Killie match on cip for Tues.

03 Apr 2016 11:21:06
I couldn't get the cup game on either vip or cricfree due to the CL fixtures so this then has the same possibility of not being available I guess. (Odd as they are both illegal streaming sites! )
However I did read the next day that the game was available on a site which allows someone to film on their mobile phone for example and then use this site to stream it. Can't remember the name of the site but I'm sure someone can help us out with that one. Hope this helps and isn't clear as mud!

03 Apr 2016 11:23:02
Sometimes the link doesn't go up until the day of the game mate.

03 Apr 2016 11:35:26
Thanks very much for the replies lads, and will check all the options mentioned cheers.

03 Apr 2016 11:39:26
Yeah I remember now pie and bovril, the killie game wasn't on vip. not so good for people that don't have a ticket.

03 Apr 2016 10:54:35
Is game on tv on Tuesday 😨.

03 Apr 2016 11:09:12
No because champions league.

03 Apr 2016 11:12:20
Be a live stream on vip league.

03 Apr 2016 16:10:28
It will be on Vipleague. mobi and the petrofac final is on BBC alba.

I can't understand why the semi final between Hibs and Dundee utd. Gets shown on council tele and ours is exclusively on sky sports?

03 Apr 2016 10:37:30
I am
Looking for ivlarkgrham mate if you are coming on and not seeing my posts please get In touch as stated before I will be happy to buy from you thanks.

03 Apr 2016 08:45:56
Yes, it is disappointing that we have conceded 9 goals in 3 games so I don't know what has gone wrong. However, over the season when you compare our record with Celtic's, having played the same number of games, there is hardly any difference between goals scored and conceded and wins and losses. I don't accept that the SPL is a 'different level'. We've beaten Kilmarnock and Dundee and Hibs have beaten Aberdeen and Hearts. There isn't much at all between the top six in the Championship and the entire SPL. By all accounts Hearts should have gone 2-0 up against Celtic, missing a sitter. Warburton will sort out the defence. As for the semi-final I think it could be 3-3!

03 Apr 2016 11:28:18
Can't compare records mate, its different leagues. We are playing very poor sides week in week out, I guarentee if we were playing dundee or inverness most weeks we would be losing these games at the rate we are shipping goals. New cb's should be a priority. Every week I keep hearing that the two of them will come good, no they won't, both are awful. If they can't keep raith, morton etc out then how will they cope against aberdeen, hearts etc. let's be honest they won't make the step up. Hearts played well yesterday but were undone by a poor celtic team, unless we tighten up (god knows how) , then we could get a hiding.

03 Apr 2016 08:37:00
Yes the defending was rank rotten, and has been for a number of games recently, to me the players have their mind focused on this old firm and are in the frame of mind that the league has been all but wrapped up so have taken their feet off the pedal, but playing for rangers that should never happen, i hope this dark side mob don't rattle us, i'd love more than anything to put them out the cup.

03 Apr 2016 11:37:16
We can't keep making excuses.

02 Apr 2016 23:09:35
I'm not very good at thinking up slogans but does anyone have any ideas for banners for the new season's first old firm game, rather than the semi?
We need something to bite back at their camp Horsemen of the apocalypse pretentious one. How about a sarcastic reply to Liewell like 'So Peter in which universe did we die? '

03 Apr 2016 08:09:28
How about we just beat them that will shut them up.
The whole sporting integrity thing was a joke. PL and CFC are building a position of power in Scottish football to look after CFC and not for the good of the game
How long before we see any Rangers men in positions of power?
Not any time soon.

03 Apr 2016 08:54:30
54 and counting.

03 Apr 2016 08:56:03
Why don't we just concentrate on Rangers, we are bigger and better than that, some people throughout the game have had a lot of pleasure seeing us at the bottom, and some would have liked to see our club die, but hey we are still here. As a club and fans we have took our punishment with dignity, we have all stuck together and now were back with our heads held high, that will stick in the throat of many, rather than some banner. TOGETHER WE ARE RANGERS.

03 Apr 2016 09:21:21
Shhhhhhhhhhhh! Guess who's Back, and we're coming for you.

LOL.

03 Apr 2016 11:33:19
Zeus: I would like to see that message.

03 Apr 2016 12:14:42
English Bear: I agree, but a wee bit of banter on a banner back at them would be appropriate after all the stuff we've been through.

03 Apr 2016 12:50:52
Scotjo
I'm not against the idea of banners pal, I've had some good laughs at banners over the years I actually like them at football games, i just think we will be under the spotlight more than any other club next season and as 11ofthebest has said the sfa is run by Celtic and by Rangers haters. By all means get the banners flying high as long as we don't give anyone else any excuses to have a pop at us.

03 Apr 2016 13:51:52
True but then we r Rangers there always going to have a pop at us, and it is a bit of fun.
