I think enough is enough as far as some of this Rangers team is concerned. I always like to try and be positive but I really think that Wednesday was a step too far for the likes of Kiernan, Halliday and Tavernier. I feel a bit sorry for Halliday as he is a decent player being played out of position.

His main problem is that he is far too casual on the ball as well as lightweight - even the slightest of opposing players can quite easily brush him off the ball. I think the 3 players above will benefit from being taken out of the firing line and hopefully it would allow them the chance to stake a claim to get back in.

Serious competition is required. Assuming Rossiter and Wilson are still injured I would go with a line up of Foderingham, Hodson, Bates, Hill, Wallace, Toral, Hyndman, Forrester, McKay, Waghorn and Miller. I'd give the young lad Bates a start to be guided through his debut by an old head and provide a little pace. Toral looks a tidy player who can pass the ball.

I'd have him in front of the defence. I'd play Forrester and McKay on the wings and changing sides at times with the wonderkid Hyndman in the attacking mid role. Waggy and Miller would play up top. This won't happen though as MW will not play a 4 1 3 2. Subs would include wee Holt, Windass, Dodoo.

This team is full of pace up front with a blend of youth and experience. We can but hope. BTW I think Harry Forrester can count himself very unlucky not to be playing. He's very much a confidence player.

04 Feb 2017 01:30:09
Seeker, Halliday's problem is that he's mince. I reckon he could be equally as bad in a number of positions.

04 Feb 2017 08:46:28
Toral was the worst player on the park on Wednesday.

04 Feb 2017 09:26:24
Kiernan was the worst player on the park on Wednesday closely followed by Halliday and Tavernier. Toral did nothing but at least he didn't cost us any goals.

04 Feb 2017 11:11:19
Seeker, I like your team, particularly Bates getting a run. Not sure MW will be as radical as that but let's see

04 Feb 2017 13:05:59
No he wasn't! That accolade goes to either rob kiernan or andy halliday!

04 Feb 2017 13:23:54
My thoughts exactly cee . guy didn't want to be there Wednesday

04 Feb 2017 13:07:06
Warburton has already said he won't be making major changes for today's game, well that says it all for me, he's just not will to drop certain players, how the hell will we find out if certain players are any good if they never get a chance

03 Feb 2017 20:31:05
Moving on from the embarrassment of Wednesday night what team and formation would my fellow bears like to see start tomorrow. I genuinely believe that if Warburton wants to show us the fans he is willing to change (which I strongly doubt) he has to seriously reshuffle the pack. Keirnan, Halliday and Tav all should be dropped to the bench. I would also bring Alnwick in ahead of Wes simply due to his morale which will be rock bottom after conceding 4 on Wednesday.

I strongly believe with the players we have at our disposal, the best formation is a 5-3-2. We need an extra man at the back to protect the teams main weakness in defence.

My team would be:
Alnwick
Hodson, Senderos, Hill, Bates, Wallace
Toral, Wilson, Hyndman
McKay, Miller

Alnwick should be given a start to freshen things up and show us what he is capable of. Wes should still be No 1. if it wasn't for his 2 outstanding saves in the last 20 mins Wednesday night could have been a lot worse. That 70 yard pass he played to start a counter attack in the first half was tremendous but his morale will have taken a battering with the goals conceded and he looks so nervous with our current defence in front of him.

I would play Hill as a sweeper. He has no pace but has the experience and is vocal. He clears almost every ball in the air when it's launched at him and playing from a sweeper position can organise our shaky defence. Senderos has to be given a chance to prove himself which imo he hasn't had. Surely his experience can provide us with more steal at the back and aggression in the air something our current defence does not have and let's be honest he has got to be better option than keirnan the bomb scare. I would give Bates a chance to show us what he is capable of. He is strong and quick for his age and with the guidance of 2 experienced pros by his side I believe he would excel in the position. With Wallace and Hodson as wing backs.

Moving into midfield I would play Wilson as our holding midfielder. He is naturally a defensive player (something we don't have at present) and on his day is a good passer of the ball. Halliday should be nowhere near the starting 11 and I don't care that he is a Rangers man he is simply not good enough. Careless on the ball, no positional awareness, poor concentration and just pure mince. Anyone that thinks otherwise is deluded as it screams in your face every time you watch him. Wilson will provide the defence with extra cover in front of them when we don't have the ball and will also complement Toral and Hyndman better allowing them to play their natural positions as attcking minded midfielders.

I would play McKay sitting off Miller as an advanced playmaker in the middle sitting in the hole. I believe McKay is wasted out on the wings. If he doesn't get by his marker in the first half hour of a game he goes into a shell and refuses to pick himself up and keep running at him, preferring to play the easy pass. By playing McKay in the middle it will give him more time and space on the ball to maximise his skill and effectiveness on the game. With Toral and Hyndman bringing more flair and creativity to our midfield this would provide McKay the platform to be effective in this role.

Miller has to play but has to be used as our focal point of attack playing on the last defenders shoulder. With Toral, Hyndman and McKays creativity he shouldn't have to drop deep to get the ball and instead use his energy making the important runs through the middle and in the channels. He would score more goals playing this way and in this formation and is still at the ripe age of 37 our most reliable goal scorer.

Even though he has been with us through the divisions back to the Premiership, Wallace imo is not captain material. He is simply not vocal enough to be our captain. I would have either Miller or Hill as our captain. Miller has the hunger and desire to win and is more vocal than Wallace but I always prefer to have a defensive minded player as a captain so I would sway more to Hill. He is the most vocal and experienced defender we have and that's why I would give him the armband.

Sorry I have dragged that on but I feel the formation and personnel I have chosen would be the most effective way for us to
A. Be more solid at the back and concede fewer goals
B. Be more effective in the middle of the park and the final 3rd.

That's me finished. I await the abuse and disagreement!

03 Feb 2017 21:00:05
Think i'd go flat back four of hodson wilson hill wallace! Midfield four of windass toral hyndman mckay! Front pair of dodoo and miller! Yes I know no midfield dig but hear me out tell the fullbacks not to bomb on, to come inside and sit infornt of the centerbacks when game is being played further up the park- pep has used this tactic and it works when players work together to shut down space and close off runs and through balls! Yes I know pep has top quality at his disposal but we could bring a new dimension to our game and teams would take a while to counter it and find away of breaking us down

03 Feb 2017 21:49:24
Warburton doesn't 4 in midfield, its 433 or nothing

04 Feb 2017 00:44:33
My team would be:

Fod
Hodson, Wilson (if fit) or Hill, Bates, Wallace
Toral,
Dodoo, Hyndman, Windass, McKay
Miller

Both FB's play mainly own half with McKay and Dodoo giving the attacking width. Toral holding and link.

04 Feb 2017 08:47:48
I would go.

Fod
Hodson bates Wilson/ senderos wallace
Windass Holt hyndman mckay
Dodoo garner/ waghorn

04 Feb 2017 11:32:33
Pep? He has millions at his disposal and is hardly setting the heather on fire in British football. Warburton is trying the pep approach del boy style and is unable to change a game. We need to face facts warbutton would be decent in a director of football role but he is not and never will be a manager.

04 Feb 2017 13:26:29
Wilson as holding player above the back 4 Stujack? That's not bad idea at all

04 Feb 2017 13:17:21
No thanks cee, you drop miller in favour of garner, who can't score, btw he's still injured, we would be in deep trouble without millers goals this yr, he's Ben our best player, fact

03 Feb 2017 20:13:31
Michael O'Neill?

03 Feb 2017 21:49:08
I said this some time ago. Only problem is nearly a million pound compensation to ifa.

03 Feb 2017 21:45:49
i heard David Wagner names has been mentioned as a replacement he's at Huddersfield.

04 Feb 2017 11:41:32
O'neill would be a fantastic choice forgot all about him. So would david warner a bit inexperienced but good pedigree.

03 Feb 2017 19:49:34
As we all know halliday is struggling badly, as a few other posters have said he will continue to play as we don't have any other defensive minded midfield player! Is that a reason to keep a guy in the side that is not performing or do we try a make shift option! My thinking is hodson infront of our back four as a shield and to cover runs from midfield! It means keeping tav at full back but I think hodson is an honest wee guy who would hold his position and give us more enery in that area! Thoughts?

03 Feb 2017 20:08:16
The problem is that he is not defensively minded. He is being played out of position because we signed two crocks, Rossiter and Crooks and have no one else for that position. not even a youngster. because Warburton jettisoned Murdock.

For the life of me I do not understand why Crooks was allowed to go out on loan, boy he must be bad to be behind Halliday.

I am sorry but I don't accept that we have no one else; I would even be tempted to play Wilson in that role or basically anyone because Halliday is atrocious! He can't pass the ball forward, it is either sideways or backwards. His pass completion ratio is poor and would be worse if the receiving player didn't 'bust a gut' to get the ball. He lacks commitment, looks as though he knows that he is undroppable. He lacks guile, he lacks the passion for the jersey that should be expected from a Rangers fan. He has no aggression whatsoever and bottom line, he is just not good enough for this league.

03 Feb 2017 20:48:25
Your right he's is not good enough just thinking of ways of freshening things up! Really dissapointed about the chance (if u could call it that) crooks was given a start away to hearts playing right hand side! Think il give up posting, the more I write the more I wonder what the hell goes on in warburtons head lol

04 Feb 2017 13:20:33
Do you know my biggest problem tom, it's that warburton just won't accept that certain players aren't up to the job, but he keeps playing, btw I've been one of his biggest fans, but no more, wed night broke me

03 Feb 2017 19:43:15
Bit long winded and i apologise bit bear with me. As much as I am so very frustrated with Warbs and Weir right now and still not quite over that abysmal performance on Wednesday (it has actually affected me worse than 5-1 pummelling we got off the manky mob across the city because Hearts is a team we absolutely should be beating in our quest for Europe) . I can't help but dwell on the ifs and buts that have plagued our season. Rossiter has been out for practically the entire season but would undoubtedly have Hallidays spot in the starting 11 cemented down in a major problem area for us. That in turn would have resulted in fewer goals conceded on a weekly basis. Then at the other end I can't help but think what a disaster it was losing kranjcar do early in the season. I truly believe he could have been the creative catalyst we have been sorely missing. The lads got bags of talent and was just starting to show what he was capable of when he got injured. But I really believe he could have created bags of goals for us had he stayed fit. Oh well ifs and buts like I say but them two players are the exact two we need to secure our euro spot. I hope Hyndman can continue as I think he looks like a decent talent. And I wish dodoo would get a game instead of waghorn. He's scored more goals in half the starts of the rest of strikers bar miller. Wish he'd get a run. I'm praying for a good result against county so I can finally put Wednesdays gutless performance firmly behind me.

03 Feb 2017 20:04:52
Good post LVB. It is painful to say but too many on here with blue tinted specs finding it difficult to deal with the reality of the last 5 years and our current constraints off and on the pitch. We need now to get real and get right behind the team and manager. The difficulties we are facing now will make our ultimate triumphs all the sweeter and reason for satisfaction. That is how we do things.

Now let's go on a league and cup run.

03 Feb 2017 20:54:34
Yip well said guys.

Getting hammered like we did on Wednesday wasn't easy for any of us to take but I still don't see why we shouldn't judge Warburton in May.

All this talk of sacking them and replacing them with McCleish and Rae. it's embarrassing

03 Feb 2017 21:15:48
Hooray, first time ever i agree with all of the posts. Sensible fans for once. It was always going to be a tough struggle of a season especially with the changes celtic made in the summer. He has brought in over 20 players and there is always 1 in 3 or 4 signings that just doesn't work out at any team. With our financial position it makes it very difficult to replace these guys which just puts more and more pressure on each signing. I will accept 2nd regardless of the performances and results to get there as this is our transition season

03 Feb 2017 21:45:19
Yeeehaa! Finally someone talking sense! Keep it up LVB

03 Feb 2017 22:14:45
Can I just ask the pro Warburton brigade a few questions

Is it acceptable to continually play players like Tavernier, Kiernan and Halliday who make the same mistakes week in week out?

Is it acceptable that we have conceded 25 goals in 23 league games?

Is it acceptable that we have only scored 31 goals in 23 games?

Are you happy that our best striker is 37 and our best defender is 38?

Is it acceptable that Warburton has lost all 8 away games to the better teams in the league both this season and last season?

Is it acceptable to be 25 points behind Celtic having been hammered at Celtic park and beaten another 2 times already this season

I just find it sad that you seem to accept all this and think Warburton is still the man for the job.

03 Feb 2017 23:17:42
Stewie for me its not just a case of sticking with Warbs because he is the man for the job BUT we are not in a position financially to be paying off managers and assistants to bring in someone who we would be gambling on anyways as we cannot afford a top tier manager. Who can we bring in? Warbs done well when he came in but this season and prob the tail end of last not so well. The only name that I would say comes close to a top manager is DeBoer but again what's the cost? The thing that reAlly annoys me about Warbs is his reluctance to drop certain players his formations AND this decision to sub players that he has apparently decided before the game. I really do think that a lot of our players will come onto a game nxt season after a whole season bedding in, I've got a feelin that King Maurice have lost faith and get someone else in anyways but this decision is a bi#*h financially and at end of day 2nd was our goal. Hope we can go on a really good Cup run the only possible chance of winning it is if the tic really mess up and get dumped out but that's too much to ask although they do seem to mess the treble up a lot so fingers crossed

03 Feb 2017 23:18:04
Stewie25

We can't compare ourselves this season to any other time in our history. So asking what is and isn't acceptable during the season while we are in 2nd place in the league, still in the scottish cup and were only knocked out of the league cup by u know who.
So u all come on hear either wanting us to spend millions that we don't have or sack our management team and replace them with footballing dinosaurs like Butcher, MCleish, Davies for some supposed short term fix.
Sure defeats are hard to take and as supporters of this great club we are not used to them but this is the reality of where we are.
As I have repeatedly said, IF we don't finish in second place then I'd say maybe a change is required but even then not for any of the names u all spout

04 Feb 2017 00:12:14
Warburton is no part of the solution, he is the problem!
Not just incompetent but stubborn beyond belief,
Stating that Hyndman and Toral will be played on the basis of the interests of their parent clubs was his resignation letter! When you play for Glasgow Rangers your only interest is that of Glasgow Rangers!

04 Feb 2017 09:31:38
GMacd

Couldn't agree more mate got him to come out and say that after the game was insulting to ever single Gers fan. We pay our money to follow our team not be a feeder club for others. I'm also amazed that the pro Warburton brigade bought this and still think he can do a job

04 Feb 2017 13:34:38
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard a Rangers manager say he was taking off a player because it was in bournmouths best interest, the reason I've turned on warburton is his constant refusal to drop certain players, I mean cmon for 2 years everybody has seen our defence is shocking yet he still hasn't fixed it, enough is enough, he must see what we all see or he shouldn't be there, simple as that, btw I've been one of his biggest fans, but I can't keep defending him when he keeps doing the same things that don't work, instead of doing the same things why not try something different, play different players, diff formations, then we could all see at least he's tried all this, but no he keeps doing the same things every other week, with the same result

03 Feb 2017 19:09:23
As much as I am so very frustrated with Warbs and Weir right now and still not quite over that abysmal performance on Wednesday (it has actually affected me worse than 5-1 pummelling we got off the manky mob across the city because Hearts is a team we absolutely should be beating in our quest for Europe) . I can't help but dwell on the ifs and buts that have plagued our season. Rossiter has been out for practically the entire season but would undoubtedly have Hallidays spot in the starting 11 cemented down in a major problem area for us. That would in turn reduce the amount of goals we leak on a weekly basis. Kranjcar getting hurt was a major blow for us as I truly believe he could have been the creative

03 Feb 2017 19:06:16
I wish we never got rid of gasparotto would be better than Keirnan not that he'd ever get a game.

03 Feb 2017 20:31:26
Why?! He wasn't anywhere near good enough. Gasparotto isnr exactly setting the heather alight in the Championship! We also got rid of Pascazio and now he's at Montrose or something.
We haven't had a decent CB in years! Getting rid of these boys isn't the reason we can't defend

03 Feb 2017 17:32:33
My point about Butcher and Miller is that we have to guarantee European football next season and I'm not convinced that MW is capable. It's obvious to us all that he is a one trick pony incapable of changing tactics. Hearts get a new manager, gets a handful of players and embarrass us, despite injuries. Butcher was merely a hint of how desperate I am to be rid of MW before it's too late.

03 Feb 2017 17:53:26
The same terry butcher that was sacked from Newport County. I've heard it all now. If we replace mw it has to be with a manager of the same calibre as rodgers not a dud like butcher who has been sacked from nearly every job he's ever had.

03 Feb 2017 18:01:45
As regards European football, Aberdeen can't qualify for Europe so what makes you think that this Rangers team are going to do any better? Simply not good enough to get through the qualifiers. Might just finish second but it's going to be close but the players are no where near good enough. When you play Hill at the back, who is 38, it shows just how much Warburton underestimated the SPL.

03 Feb 2017 19:36:36
Our current team will never get through the quallifiers, forget europe

03 Feb 2017 21:36:07
Jonnymac. Tell us something we don't know?! Our whole league is full of poor teams, and I mean the whole league! We are sitting 2nd and we are a poor excuse of a football team, must be the worst Rangers team ever to compete in the top division.

03 Feb 2017 17:17:35
Whats the predictions for tomorrow guys? Anything less than a win by 2 or 3 goals is unacceptable. Wednesday night was a shambles and it got me thinking. when was the last time we hammered a team?

I hear all this talk of people wanting King to give Mark the money to spend but who says he'll use it wisely? I can't see any investment while Mike Ashley and co are around, remember King is a businessman first!

On to Wednesday, I have to wonder what Warburton tells his team at half-time, that's not the first time the squad haven't returned for the 2nd half! we've done the same against Celtic twice this season!

How long before the game do the players and staff arrive? a good few hours, so Warburton or Weir should have seen the state of that pitch and instructed us to clear the ball to safety rather than constantly passing back around the defence/ holding onto the ball in defence putting us under pressure time and time again.

There are several weaknesses in our squad that aren't being addressed properly. Kiernan started to improve his game but has recently slipped back to championship level making foolish and amateur mistakes, Clint Hill is solid and playing well but he is 38, 1v1 against a quick player and he's done.

Tavernier has played decent when played in midfield because he wants to attack, why is he back in defence?! Halliday has been nothing short of atrocious this season and how he is continuously starting is beyond me. He isn't good enough to play professional football in the top flight!

Where is Rossiter? what a disappointing signing he has been, shame because he's a genuinely good player. Subbing Hyndmann off after an hour was a joke, him and Waghorn were the only two players to put a shot on target and they were withdrawn, its laughable really. Kenny Miller being forced to come deep to get a touch of the ball, up front himself isolated he's 37 he just doesn't have the pace and strength like he used to!

Why did we spend 250k on another keeper? He isn't going to remove Wes as number 1 so why didn't he just promote a youth keeper to the bench? 250k that could have been spent on another striker or even a CB.

03 Feb 2017 17:22:44
Defeat tommorow Warburton to be sacked Monday morning.

03 Feb 2017 17:57:04
Im looking for a performance, a response players to go and show they want to wear that strip that's all I've ever asked for! We win will as our great support is an extra man at ibrox but we need passion on the pitch and on the touchline.

03 Feb 2017 18:11:07
You're absolutely spot on there with every point mate, except I'd say you're being harsh on Miller. One of the very few players in the squad who has actually performed this season.

03 Feb 2017 18:25:23
How can MW be trusted with any money in the summer look at the team on Wed only the two new loanes and Hill were brought in after his first transfer window where is Rossiter Dodoo senderos Ohalloran hardly played yet Halliday Tavernier Waghorn have been poor but always play Hodson is a better right back the system does not suit the players look at our goal difference +6 after 23 games it's boring to watch our two best players are closer to 40 than 20 I'm sick of watching this crap for me get two in the box let's go at teams get the fans off their seat when's the last time we battered a team when's the last time Ibrox was rocking

03 Feb 2017 20:33:26
Most frightening thing in the last few days is the clear evidence that MW is completely delusional. Current goal difference is +6 (? ) . Should be closer to +20 if we were performing anything like we should; winning most games and occasionally putting some teams to the sword. I can't remember us giving anyone a hiding this season and am struggling to recall any truly convincing wins. Yet after a complete gubbing from Hearts, a team with 6 new players on the field and 1 win in the previous 6 or 7 games what does the arrogant know it all come up with? A proper apology and a promise to address all the basic short comings that have been so evident for the past 12 months! No not a bit of it. We are told how well we have being playing recently and never better than the second half against Motherwell. It is almost like he is trying to re-write history. Well we do live in the post truth world!
So the real problem for me is if Warburton thinks those recent performances against the likes of Motherwell are good enough he does not understand the requirement, standard or expectation that apply to Rangers. He is aiming way too low. That said any kind of win tomorrow will do but I would like to see the continual defensive errors eradicated, (fof Keirnan), some physicality and fight on the field and some leadership on the field. Let's be honest, Lee Wallace is not the man for the job. The only reason he didn't leave was because his missus wouldn't let him and he didn't have the confidence or possibly bottle to try his luck down south.
We have to finish second, not just for Europe but for pride so let's start being honest about our performances, address the blatant errors, fight for the jersey and drop players that aren't up to it.
Let's see if Warburton can manage a football team, motivate the players, kick some arse and come up with some tactics that can outwit the opposition.
Finally, there has been some reference to some friction between DK and Warburton. I wonder if that started when DK said he had thought we would have been a bit more competitive and more comfortably placed in the league and Warburton replied with, if Celtic had won 4 fewer games and we'd won 1 more the gap would be a lot less. WTF. That is the kind of remark you would expect from a junior office manager not someone sitting in Bill Struth's old seat.

Rant over, fingers crossed for tomorrow, c'mon the Gers!

03 Feb 2017 17:11:10
see if warbs was given a good bit of money, who thinks he could have a team that's good enough to play the formation he wants to play?

I for one like the idea of all out attacking football and would welcome it to ibrox one day as I think if u have the right players it would work up here .

but we must build from the back any manager ever in any successfull team will tell you the same

03 Feb 2017 17:27:16
I wouldn't trust him with the level of cash needed to get the players required to play his system.

03 Feb 2017 20:11:51
He still wouldn't replace Kiernan and Halliday because he clearly thinks the sun shines out of their backsides. Neither should be anywhere near the team. The support can see that but he is oblivious to the fact that they are a liability!

03 Feb 2017 17:01:06
We badly need investment as well as a new management team, Halliday, Kiernan are woeful will never be rangers standard, king needs to speak up and let us know what's happening.

03 Feb 2017 16:57:29
Bring in Barry Ferguson in the summer he knows exactly what is expected to be a winner at rangers and the territory that goes with it think he would be great he has got what it takes and knows the club inside out.

03 Feb 2017 23:36:05
Would love to see Ferguson but think it may be too soon for both parties BUT if he were to come we would need to give him time AND a 3-4yr contract and stick with him no matter what which would be a gamble. One thing for sure is we would get a manager who would adapt formations to suite and no more subs decided before match. AnywAys he will come home but dunno if the timing is right

03 Feb 2017 17:00:12
Foderingham
Hodson Hill Bates Wallace
MOH/ Windass Wilson Emerson/ Toral
Waghorn/ Forrester Miller/ Dodoo McKay

Sack Kiernan, Tav and Halliday

We have nothing else that allows us to deviate away from this too much!

God help us if we do sack Warburton as the new manager would have nothing to work on, nothing.

03 Feb 2017 17:18:09
Good post, we have no leadership at all Wallace is no captain. I'd go for gk alnwick rb hodgson, lb Wallace, cb Wilson senderos or bates. rw windlass, LW McKay, cm rossiter, cm hydman, can total cf doodo.

03 Feb 2017 17:40:57
Sack Tav?, but he was the free scoring marauding full back worth at least 10 million who scored tons of goals in the lower reaches of the Scottish game, so surely not.

03 Feb 2017 20:33:04
Wallace is every bit a weak link asa Tavernier. Neither of them can defend and Wallace gets drawn into the centre too easily. If he is to stay in the team, and in an ideal world he wouldn't then he should not be captain. The problem is, who other than Miller can do that job!
What a sorry state of affairs really. We can lament the injuries as much as we want but truth be told we have failed miserably to sign a leader that can captain the team. We have also failed to sign players with the right mentality for numerous positions across all aspects of the team.
While he might be someone that is good at the theory it doesn't work in practice to try and play like Barcelona with a bunch of players that would struggle in a Sunday league game!

03 Feb 2017 20:39:52
I would definitely drop Halliday and Kiernan. I reckon now we are seeing why Barton had a go at him and for me we got rid of the wrong guy! At home and playing attacking football, Tavernier can do a job and I would be more tempted to play Hodson instead of Wallace, (controversial though that might be)!
I would be tempted to play young Bates alongside Hill. With Rossiter still out, (he will be back in two weeks), I would either play Wilson in that role or play Windass further back, since he does show more aggression. Hyndman, Toral, McKay, Miller and either Waghorn or Forrester would make up my team.

Neither Halliday or Kiernan would even make the bench because neither would make a positive impact as a sub. They would just be a liability as they are every week.

04 Feb 2017 12:04:36
I would be interested to see which side we lose most goals from. Tav is terrible at defending but wallace? We never see him defend as always oyt of position. In well game when 10 v 11 i feared the worst has wallace was hardly in our hald and never tracked back. As i say tav is a terrible defender but wallace is just never there

03 Feb 2017 15:56:23
So we all agree Kiernan isn't up to job? The Manager must take some responsibility for this as this boy has been needing dropped for months with his confidence absolutely shot! Surely big Davie must know that Kiernan is short at top level?

03 Feb 2017 16:22:14
still won't drop him

03 Feb 2017 16:41:13
Davie weir says keirnan is epl quality. naw I don't get it either.

03 Feb 2017 16:44:43
For me this Saturday's team selection will show whether Warbs can respond appropriately to the utterly spineless and inept collapse at Tynecastle. If he can show his displeasure by leaving out Tav, Kiernan, Halli day, Hill and leaving out as many of them as possible from the match day squad that will be a start. Bring in Hodson, Senderos, Wilson. Try young Bates at DM. He is a defender and should have the right instincts (surely he can't be any worse than Halliday) . Give Dodoo a start up front. I'd also take the captaincy off Wallace as he shows no leadership whatsoever and was just as passive as the rest of the crew-give it to Miller for the rest of the season. If he sticks to the same reprobates from the other night in some pig headed attempt to show they can be a"good team" then he is as hopeless as they are and despite me saying that he should be given to the end of the season when we went through our last crisis in November I now think he should go.

03 Feb 2017 16:55:36
Davie Weir said Kiernan is Champions League quality!

FFS!

03 Feb 2017 17:10:26
Don't forget Halliday. maybe the boy Burke should get a run out.

03 Feb 2017 20:41:05
Good call Mcc, I wouldn't have Halliday anywhere near the team and young Burke merits consideration.

03 Feb 2017 21:36:51
Think you guys mean Burt by the way!

03 Feb 2017 21:52:50
Who is young Burke? Do u mean list burt?

03 Feb 2017 15:46:50
Guys as painful as it is we now need to focus on winning next game, making second place our own, and going on cup run.

03 Feb 2017 16:24:42
dont think it will happen unless he makes drastic changes and he won't because he thinks he is right all of the time

03 Feb 2017 17:03:36
We'll go on a good cup run until we're drawn against hearts, sheep or dhims away then we're doomed.

03 Feb 2017 20:42:28
You can almost see the team for Saturday with Halliday and Kiernan still in position. It defies belief and is exactly what will destroy what is left of Warburton's credibility.

03 feb 2017 15:49:28
simple conclusion of the result is warburton learnt nothing from november's midweek trip to tynecastle and neither did the players absolutely no excuse for it! not
acceptable! frank de boer with 15 million for players time for king and the board to step up!

03 Feb 2017 16:26:06
pie in the sky with that comment, wish you were right though

03 Feb 2017 15:41:26
Wee signed that big ginger boy during the window and I don't know why as he don't even make the bench let alone the starting 11. The big ginger must be rank rotten.

03 Feb 2017 17:20:21
Bgate w that's a few times I've seen you come out with "the big ginger guy" have you got a personal issue with him?

03 Feb 2017 13:50:24
Senderos and wilson should be our center backs. hill has been good, but think he gives away daft free kicks and when the ref gives them he looks like he can't understand why its a free kick every time.

03 Feb 2017 14:22:08
Give the boy bates a run as it can't hurt

03 Feb 2017 14:59:40
"Give the boy bates a run as it can't hurt"

Could you imagine the scenes if we played bates in the next 4 games and lost them all.

03 Feb 2017 15:58:28
He should have featured in some capacity by now he's a proper big lump saw him a couple of times in the flesh and although very raw he looks to have the makings of a good big stopper, only game time will bring him on! i'd like to see him and wilson together in a couple of matches before the season is out! Being honest can't see keirnan senderos or hill being around next season so with funds being limited makes sense to evaluate what we have before we shop around

03 Feb 2017 16:24:55
Yes I'd agree with that, them 2. Done OK against Patrick, if it was to be a 3 at the back I'd add the big ginger boy as he must be the fastest cb we have him being 20 6ft 4 also. couldn't be any worse than big wooden legs

03 Feb 2017 17:09:32
My friend is good friends with fraser aird and he told him that in training the players aren't allowed to tackle during small sided games or make contact.

03 Feb 2017 13:08:12
I'm just as disillusioned and to be honest, as embarrassed as every other Rangers fan at the moment and I'm very much in the camp that seriously doubts Mark Warburton's tactical ability. As for training, I would love to be a fly on the wall and see what a day at Auchenhowie looks like because from what I can see they don't do nearly enough work around defensive organisation from middle to back, attacking penetrative exercises from middle to front or any work at all on set pieces (attacking or defensive). If they are, it isn't working!

During a game his substitutions are predictable, if we can call them as fans in the stands then opposition managers will have him sussed well before kick off on any given game day. His failure to sense when a game is not going in our favour is big worry for me and in general, he's beginning to look like a man way out of his depth.

I feel sorry for him in a way with regards to transfers. He's been failed by a man that's been quoted as one of the best in the business and a lot of them haven't lived up to their billing (bit of a parallel with the manager himself). You can't account for injuries which have seriously disrupted the impact that could have been from the likes of Rossiter, Windass, Kranjcar and Crooks. However, would I trust him and his staff with any kind of transfer kitty -- no!

As of now we have to still support our team as we always will and that starts tomorrow. Forget Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts - let's just focus on ourselves and see where this season can take us (ever the optimist). From an outsider looking in, it wouldn't be that bad. Promoted club, sitting second, still in the cup but we as fans know that what we're seeing right now is not acceptable. I will continue to support until the end of this season but when that time comes I'll be calling for and expecting major changes in our footballing department. We need a lengthy and thorough search for a management team to be carried out in preparation for next season because if we are to build and become a stronger football team there's a lot of work needing done that MW isn't capable of doing.

I love him for what he gave us last year and the three year plan sounded great but I'm sorry to say his job has been done and we need to move on to the next level.

03 Feb 2017 14:39:50
Good post BlueBluesea, and I entirely agree that we must support our team to the best of our ability.
For months now, I have felt we were rudderless and now I am totally convinced. DK/ MW have made decisions that have brought about this predicament, but repeating our grievances won't help us achieving second place in the league or a much needed cup run.
What surprises me is DW's lack of input, as he must see what 95% of us see. Our tactics are crap and MW's playing his favourites when there are better options is pathetic.
What I would like is that DK sold his shares to Brian Kennedy, [ if interested. ], who assisted by Graeme Souness [ Director of football. ] and Frank Lampard [ manager. ] before the end of this season.

03 Feb 2017 16:33:01
I agree with you billy regarding Kennedy but I don't know if he would be interested any more, but that doesn't mean King has to leave but maybe Kennedy could have a more hands on role as King is never hear, but King and the board have pumped money into the club, I'm very surprised if people can't see that, it's not all on transfers but money to run the club as we are still in a 4 million deficit every year, as for warburton, I really like his ideas but I've reached the end of the road after wed night, as a matter of fact, I'm pure gutted, I put so much faith in him, but he just won't accept what we all see, our defence is shocking, Halliday has been really poor, tav great going forward but can't defend, so why is hodson still not getting a game, he can't or won't change a game even when we can see what's wrong during a game, I really like warburton but I'm gutted pure gutted because I can't defend this anymore, now I don't know what will happen but if he did get sacked I would appoint billy Davies with Barry Ferguson as his assistant, now I know most fans wouldn't want them but I firmly believe they both could do a very good job at ibrox, but I don't think that will ever happen, I understand the thinking behind Ronald and frank d, b but I think they would want a serious transfer budget, and we don't have those kind of funds, we would need a share issue, and the one the board wanted got blocked, as we don't want an normal one as Ashley and co would get more power and that really would be a disaster, I, ll still not slate the board or the club I'm just devastated that it might not work out for warburton as it wasn't that long ago he was magic, but his mistakes are there for all to see and because he refuses to address them, I can't support him anymore, witch kills me inside.

03 Feb 2017 18:12:33
Delboy1979, probably MW's biggest crime was his loyalty to DK. DK is a mercenary, as was proved by his season ticket boycott and his comment that the best option open to us was another liquidation. He has sold MW, up the creek without a paddle. If it wasn't for my love for the Glasgow Rangers, I would wish no good on DK.
We need to be solid for the rest of the season and with our rudderless structure we are as solid as a wet fart, thanks to DK.

03 Feb 2017 20:52:27
The one person I don't want anywhere near Rangers is Billy Davies. We still have our pride and our self-respect and Davies has done himself no favour with his choice of friends.

I would love to see Kennedy and Souness come in and I still wonder whether with Souness as Director of Football, could MW improve or is he too stubborn and set in his ways.

I would definitely remove Weir since he brings less than nothing to the team, and would be very tempted to get a young manager in as Assistant with a view to him taking over in due course.

03 Feb 2017 11:27:20
Frankly, I would take Butcher with Miller as his assistant right now. At least we would have a team of fighters.

03 Feb 2017 12:35:50
Lets take judas butcher very good, man has had a nightmare at every team he has managed and gets kicks from slagging our club

03 Feb 2017 12:42:29
Ive always backed warburton, but I can't do that anymore, I don't understand why he hasn't sorted the defence, everyone for 2 yrs know it's a joke, he has just let a better keeper leave, he keeps playing James tav even though Hodson is a better defender, he keeps playing Halliday no matter how bad he performs, he doesn't give certain players a decent run of games, Ie dodoo, he can't change tactics during a game, I love his way of football but this is Scotland not Spain, you don't get time on the ball, he should make us hard to beat first, then play good football, sorry mr warburton but wed night has broke m

03 Feb 2017 12:49:36
Crazy!

03 Feb 2017 13:06:44
This is what it's come to? Manager who get sacked from hibs? We may as well just call it quits.

03 Feb 2017 15:14:12
Butchers pathetic, the guy can't even talk a good game as we've heard with his shambolic attempt at commentating on BT never mind manage our club

03 Feb 2017 16:03:44
Thats the problem mate football isn't about who talks a good game! At this point its about getting socks pulled up and getting stuck in and although I don't rate butcher as the answer its someone with balls we need to rip into this squad of players and make sure they put it in for 90 minutes every week

04 Feb 2017 12:06:47
i agree just like the way he did with Hibs?

03 Feb 2017 11:19:57
"I'm reading in the paper Celtic are on a record-breaking run. If they won four games less, they would be 13 ahead. If we had won one of our games it would be 10."

Mark Warburton

For a man who is supposedly the smartest manager in Scottish football, Warbs hasn't half been talking a load of mince over the past few weeks. Are we actually expected to take some solace from that statement?

03 Feb 2017 12:44:49
Did he actually say that naz.

03 Feb 2017 16:02:01
Reported word for word from his press conference yesterday by several papers.

And for a guy that worked in the city apparently he strangely gets mixed up with some basic arithmetic -

If Celtic had lost 4 more games that would be 12 points but he says 'If they won four games less' meaning the games could all have been drawn that would mean 8 points.

03 Feb 2017 16:15:40
Cheers naz

04 Feb 2017 12:30:06
I read that as well mate, i must admit i couldn't actually believe what i was reading. its fair to say he isn't exactly dealing with the pressure too well

03 Feb 2017 10:54:23
First Time poster!!!

I come on here and read some of the posts every day, I keep seeing people write about king not giving the financial backing that he said he would, he has came into the club and got us in a more stable condition as to what we were, you have to remember we are still running at a loss and its him and the board that is keeping the cub afloat, people on crying about money, king and the board has already invested £25 million in the club already to keep the club going, it may not all be in transfers but without that money we would surely be bust, the board has done well. another thing I don't get is why people keep asking where this 30 million war chest is, would you really trust MW with that kind of money because I sure wouldn't, up until this transfer window rangers have spent the same amount as celtic, all being celtic bought a better quality of player, we have spent 4 million on, garner, rossitar, Crooks, windass and MOH... celtic spent 4 million on Sinclar and dembele, we need to give the board our backing. I don't think MW is the person to take us forward as I think the team has went backwards from last season, halliday, kiernan, holt and a few others haven't kicked a ball all season but seem to start week in and out and get a full 90 mins, it really worries me that the people in charge cannot see that they are costing us goals every week, I have no doubt we will finish second but i think the board need to get someone new in and look at next season as this one is over.

03 Feb 2017 11:57:46
Sorry we've spent £4mil? £1.5m for garner, 65k for crooks, 65k for windass, 500k for MOH and 250k for Rossiter. That to me is £2.38million, not the £4mil you are quoting. Also why are you comparing us to Celtic? Rodgers didn't need to create a new team, he wanted a new striker and a winger, he spent £4mil and got that. we have a new squad. C'mon mate if you are going to rant, at least be correct about what you are ranting about.

03 Feb 2017 12:28:02
£1.8M for garner, £250k for windass and Crooks, £500k for MOH, £250k for Rossiter, £250K for Dodo, plus development fees for the players we brought in for the youth squad, plus the squad we have is his squad from last season with the exception of theses players, signing policy has been all wrong, we have spent the same as celtic and cannot touch them, the players that have been brought in this season has come to around £4m, so I am correct in what I am saying.

03 Feb 2017 12:38:05
You forgot barton dodoo both cost us money to sign or get rid of

03 Feb 2017 12:38:27
We don't know all the correct sums and figures these days as a lot goes on behind the scenes but compare us to them. Rogers came in and had basically the same team we played off the park in the semi final with out having too many clear cut chances . He got couple quality players in Sinclair and dembelle in which has been the difference in the old firm games to be honest . Warburton strengthened our team with all the signings . But it hasn't worked . Rogers hasn't had many problems to deal with except maybe having to sit a 40 goal a season guy on the bench. My opinion is warburton can't
Man manage a player who is Aggresive . Passionate . Warrior type player but only players who when he says jump they say how high . His boys. I can't see where this is all going to or how it is going to end but if he does not drop certain players this sat then I do not feel we will finish second .

03 Feb 2017 12:52:54
Only show, garner was 1.8 million, crooks was 250.000 windass was 250.000,rossiter was 250.000,o, halloran was 500.000,waghorn was 200.000,tav was 200.000,holt was 65.000,I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head but he prob has spent about 4 million on players. but that's on a full team, not much nowadays but I bet hearts and the sheep would love 4 million to spend on players. lol

03 Feb 2017 13:07:41
Your lucky if we spent more than 1 mill on garner

03 Feb 2017 13:12:35
Barca, you did not mention those players. you mentioned Garner, Crooks, windass, Moh and Rossiter.

Crooks and Windass were 65k each. You are now bringing youth players into it aswell?

Again with the stuff about spending the same as celtic, celtic already had the best squad in the bloody country. they bought 2 players for £4mil, because their team was already the bloody best in the country! Ronny had Celtic playing some dreadful football, Rodgers has them playing how they should be, stop comparing our spend to Celtics, it isn't a fair comparison.

03 Feb 2017 13:21:40
Windass and Crooks were 65k each. That is why the Accrington manager was raging about them coming to us. As far as I was aware, tav, kiernan and waghorn were all a part of the same deal, 300k for all?

03 Feb 2017 13:50:50
OnlyShow, i'm not comparing our squad to celtics I am comparing our spending to celtics, i'm just stating we have spent as much as them and haven't brought in the same quality they have, I am simply questioning our managers signing policy as it has been all wrong.

03 Feb 2017 14:43:16
There is a big difference though Barca, we had to bring in MULTIPLE players, Celtic needed 2 players for their already very impressive and expensive team.

03 Feb 2017 14:53:42
Sinclair alone cost them over £6 million!

03 Feb 2017 16:09:30
Rodgers had the champions of the country when he came in so one or two new players and spending 5 million as i'm sure sincalire was 4.5 million all in so couple of players woth that and we had to get build a team that would challenge .

I know what job i'd rather have.

also i'm not taking warbs side as last summer he should have got in defenders as that was our weakest part of our team yet he still says its fine and defnce isn't to blame i'm sorry but that stupidity or plain ignorance!

id love to see money come in but it won't not while we are in the fat rats pocket

03 Feb 2017 17:01:53
Don't see anyone counting wages in their calculations. Have to count them into signing fees.

03 Feb 2017 09:51:13
The limitations of Kiernan, Halliday and Tavernier are there for all to see. I wonder if Warburton will now bring Burt into the midfield alongside Hyndman and Toral? It must also be time to give Dodoo a run up front with Miller and Mackay. In defence, I'd bring in Senderos alongside Hill for now and play Hodson at right back. As I've said before on this site, when on earth are our youngsters going to get a chance - they can't do any worse than the so-called first team! Recall Hardie and bring Burt and Jordan Thompson into the first team squad. Team v Ross County: Foderingham; Hodson, Senderos, Hill, Wallace; Toral, Burt, Hyndman; Dodoo, Miller, Mackay.

03 Feb 2017 10:36:10
I'd like to see the boy Bates, if nothing else he's the only centre half we've not seen play. Hill could do with a no nonsence centre half in they who'll actually win a ball in the air, the boy looks a fair unit so hopefully he's that type of player. Hodson is a must at Rb, Tavernier has been a liability all season. Unfortunately there's no one else at the club but Rossiter I see can play sitting midfield so we're stuck with Halliday until Rossiter gets fit. whenever that'll be. Definately think Dodoo deserves a run too.

03 Feb 2017 11:02:12
Doiger, see when it backfires and we get pumped off of county will you be raging?

03 Feb 2017 11:09:38
You make a fair point buddy, I would give dodoo a proper run through the middle, bring hodson in at right back, drop Halliday, and how we let Matt Gilks go to Wigan I will never understand that one, I have always thought he was better than wes fod, I don't know what's going to happen to warburton because he has much more to spend than hearts and the sheep, so maybe he's just not as good as I thought he was

03 Feb 2017 11:15:23
Can I ask my fellow fans a question.
Does anyone think warburton has underestimated the league.?
Is he just not up to the task?
Is his recruitment been any good?
Will he be here next season, if not who would use like to replace him?

03 Feb 2017 11:54:26
Delboy to answer your Q's in my opinion I would say
Yes
No
No with some exceptions
Yes but shouldn't be here now never mind next season, I would love to see the De Boer brothers in but that is unrealistic. Derek McInnes is the stand out candidate for me. Knows the Scottish game and can work well on a tight budget. He has also challenged Celtic while they had Ronny D

03 Feb 2017 12:30:50
Onlyshowaround. I've been raging for most of this season anyway so another rant after Saturday won't make any difference! We can't get much worse than the 4-1 defeat to Hearts and the 5-1 defeat to Celtic earlier this season.

03 Feb 2017 13:11:44
People still want hill in the team? Ludicrous.

03 Feb 2017 16:59:50
hodson has to be brought in for tav as he offers far too little in defence and that's our main weakness just now

kiernan has to be dropped - he is a liability caught under the ball far too often, rash and mis-timed tackles and not switched on enough as a defender. wilson or bates should replace him

halliday - i'm not sure if he's way off form
as some suggest or he's just struggling to make the step up to the SPL from championship but either way he gives ball away far too often and puts us in trouble consistently. i'd replace him with hyndman as DM until
rossiter is fit

03 Feb 2017 16:34:15
If warburton were to leave and huddersfield didn't gain promotion I wouldn't mind their german manager david wagner! What a job he's done there, in less than 2 years! Very highly rated in germany and turned down the advances of wolfsburg not that long ago! Has terrific contacts in germany and throughout europe in general!

03 Feb 2017 16:34:19
TBF I think the majority of people connected to Rangers underestimated the league. People were going well over the top whilst praising MW for beating Championship opponents - often stating the standard you were playing was the same standard as SPL (which made no sense at the time and certainly even less now) .

Keeping in mind that I think (may not be correct) but you did not beat any of your 2 closest competitors (Falkirk/ Hibs) away from home whilst in the Championship. Then at the start of this season we have King and MW saying your up to compete with Celtic. which the majority of you on here were extremly confident with and this has slowly changed into we were always looking for second and can't compete, as the season has wore on! Be interesting to see if that aim changes further come the end of the season.

The simple fact that there is the same difference between you and Celtic as there is between you and bottom of the league tells it's own story. And MW coming out the other day and stating that if we had not won 4 games there would only been a 13 diffence is quite simply embarrassing.

03 Feb 2017 16:37:30
Limitations isn't the word to use mate, the fact that bilel moshni and ian black are twice the players kiernan and halliday are then that says it all.

03 Feb 2017 16:44:45
yes
no
yes only injurys have been the downfall of his signings except barton.
crooks to me is scared of Scottish football and won't come back.
I don't think king has faith in him if he does he should come out and say something!

03 Feb 2017 17:07:59
Derek mcinnes as rangers manager benny? If warbs does go we need a lot better than derek mcinnes! Never good enough to be a glasgow rangers manager! Never!

03 Feb 2017 19:50:21
Cee why do u question hill and miller being in people's teams? Miller only one who looks like scoring for us, hill easily our best defender! No brainer for me.

03 Feb 2017 09:21:34
Shoot me down all you want but if the gaffer was to get sacked I would want billy Davies with Barry Ferguson as his number 2,,,I know most fans would prob disagree with me but I,ll tell you one thing they would bring passion and blood and thunder back to ibrox,,but that's me and I don't have a say on what's happening

03 Feb 2017 10:20:12
I believe everyone said no when we were linked with him before warbs.

03 Feb 2017 11:06:52
King wouldn't want Billy Davies as he is not a yes man and if he wasn't getting the funds for players and wages that he wanted he would soon say so.

As for BF, what is about his management of Clyde that makes him a candidate for our #2?

03 Feb 2017 11:51:12
Naz I think they would be a great partnership at ibrox, as for Barry being at Clyde it's a totally different ball game than coming to ibrox, but both of them know the club inside out, both would walk to ibrox if given the chance to manage the club, and I, ll tell you one thing, they would make us hard to beat strait away, then build up the quality, warburton is doing it the other way around, I would love to know how much of a say David weir has at ibrox, because surely he can't be happy with that defence of ours.

03 Feb 2017 12:41:16
He woukdnt want billy davies because he became a laughing stick in the media when he was at forrest, don't think he could handle the pressure of being rangers manager, he also got slated for not playing youth players

03 Feb 2017 13:12:16
If Billy Davies becomes rangers manager I will be giving up my season ticket. Awful person and manager.

03 Feb 2017 16:41:48
I agree with you delboy1979! I've said on here ages ago how much i rate and like wee billy davies as a manager! Everything you say about davies I reiterate mate! Very good shout delboy1979!When i wanted davies as our new manager before warburton got it, i was shot down in flames, so don't worry about it my friend! All people could say was he's not the right man because of things in his personal life, allegedly! What he does away from ibrox is his business obviously within reason but there's one thing, the wee man can most certainly manage and coach! He would take a flamethrower to the weak players we have just now, such is the wee man's passion!

03 Feb 2017 16:48:17
weir said we don't have any defensive worries a couple of weeks ago if I remember right. he has his favourites aswell.

but an old man who is the slowest player in our league is our br at the moment and I don't understand why the management can't see that

03 Feb 2017 07:20:15
Warburton admits that Wednesday night 1 Feb 2017 was unacceptable?

It will never be forgotten if not forgiven

For those who suggest he should stay until end of season for whatever reason -

May I suggest 3 targets

1) gap with rest over 10 points

2) gap with Celtic closed - over 30 unacceptable?

3) win the Scottish Cup

These will determine whether he has been a success of failure - alas I fear it is "too late" to change

I'd agree but i'd never realised his away form was so poor against harder teams. don't get me wrong we've beat Motherwell at their own midden twice but we can barely deal with any half decent team away from home.

We should have built from the back anyways but the guy has went for a different approach and its just backfired, again underestimated the league and demands of the Scottish game. remind you of anyone? PLG.

I'll agree those are the targets but i think that the manager is on the road to ruin if he doesn't change something.

Ranger

I honestly don't think we will reach any of those targets. However I don't expect him to be sacked until the end of the season at least so I think more pain, more poor performances and more of Kiernan, Tavernier and Halliday for the rest of the season

Warburton has always had a bad away record, this isn't something that is new, he makes the home ground a fortress and the away games not so much.

03 Feb 2017 09:34:12
Gap with the rest over 10 points. not at all. Aberdeen are up there with us, Maybe we could do 10 points infront of hearts, but not Aberdeen. We could win the Scottish cup, doubt it but we could.

03 Feb 2017 09:55:38
I think we do need to approach away games against top 6 teams a bit more cautiously. i'm not saying we should be ultra defensive but we should be giving teams like Hearts and Aberdeen more respect and concentrate on not be conceding silly goals that lift them and their fans. i'd rather play ugly and not get beat away from home than have 20 mins of nice passing patterns.

03 Feb 2017 11:52:29
We will NOT win the Scottish cup, of that I'm certain. unfortunately Celtic will win the treble this year.

03 Feb 2017 16:41:12
Those 3 targets won't be achieved. Warburton can spin a good story alongside the best of them but the fans don't buy it. Will he drop Tavernier, Kiernan and Halliday tomorrow and will he recognise that Waghorn is totally ineffective playing wide right? Doubt it. He's determined to prove that he's right and 99% of the supporters wrong.

03 Feb 2017 16:52:30
I hope they don't but I think so too.

and to think rangers first year back in the top flight will be the first time they win it since we got booted out

03 Feb 2017 07:03:02
Sad thing about our current position it was so predictable?

Warburton "shot" the messenger who advised we were mediocre? - Barton ?

He envys Aberdeen & Hearts being "battle harden" - the Hearts new team or old team who knows but

what has Warburton done to redress this?

He talks about our "poor" record of losing away including "Falkirk & Hibs" last year

what has Warburton done to redress this ?

Defence remains a "bomb scare" & he has know this fir over a season & 4 transfer windows!!!

03 Feb 2017 07:48:25
For all the other issues with Barton perhaps he was just telling the truth in his discussion with Mr W. We may well be in a better place now if he had been listened to instead of being suspended from the club.

03 Feb 2017 08:08:09
How people are even trying to defend Barton is a disgrace. Did you actually watch him play for us? One of the worst player ever to wear the Jersey in the past 10 years.

Would rather have had law or bloody kyle Hutton.

03 Feb 2017 08:54:13
I'd like to see Greame Sourness brought on to the board to oversee football matters. With a view to selecting a real management team for next season.

03 Feb 2017 09:35:44
I'd like to see us given proper funds for decent players, not big money moves, but atleast enough to strengthen in positions we are lacking in i. e CDM and CB.

03 Feb 2017 09:38:10
Cee

Barton only played 8 games for the club so it's unfair to judge him after such a short time. If people had come on here saying they wanted rid of Warburton or any manager after 8 games I'm sure you and others would have been on here slating them for not giving him a chance. You can't have it both ways

03 Feb 2017 10:17:40
Got to agree Cee, everyone wanted him out and now because we're going thru a tough spell everyones going on abt him as if it was gazza we let go. the guy was an absolute doo and nobody knows for certain what was said between him, halliday and MW

03 Feb 2017 16:53:44
Agree Cee, Barton's behaiviour whilst at our club was a complete disgrace. The comments being made by some on here that he was justified and should have been allowed to remain at the club and play are at best ill-advised. .

03 Feb 2017 16:57:06
I can say one thing though a manager that puts three in the middle of the park consistently in the spl when away from home and the results are nowhere near good enough is a man asking for the sack u can't say this isn't good enough then do the same again and again and again and again and again.
