I will everybody lay off edu? The past couple of games he has controlled the midfield, made some great challenges(some of which have lead to a goal) and his passing has improved drmatically. Because he went through a rotten spell everybody seems to want to pick out his bad points and none of the good. One of the best players on the pitch vs motherwell if you ask me.Give the lad a chance! I for one would not want to see hom go.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Well said that man, many worse than edu but dont hold your breath we like to disect our own highland bear

Agree7 Disagree2

He's ok but don't get carried away. If you think edu controls the midfield you know nothing about football. How can someone with so little confidence on the park control a game of football?
Johnger

Agree3 Disagree1

Edu needs a rest plays a full season then a world cup then another full season and the gold cup. This will be the 1st summer off he will have in ages or is itcopa america this yeat?r

Agree0 Disagree1

USA don't play in the copa America

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been alot better this season. breaks up play and releases it well. not like in past seasons when he would do all the hard work, win the ball then lose it or play a stupid pass. defo an improvement

anyone know how much compensation we are owed from bendkisen's transfer?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

None i'm afraid.

Agree2 Disagree3

We are owed some for development, but not a clue how much

Agree3 Disagree1

How can it be none? What about training fee's like Aluko? Seems like we just said" You wanna leave? Get f**ked then!" Weird episode

Agree1 Disagree1

Rangers paid a fee for him so technically would he have been signed as a first team player? And as he's gone to a team outside the uk i dont think they have to pay compo, could be wrong though. Maybe the ed can clear that one up. {Ed014's Note - As far as I can see Bendiksen is too old to qualify for compensation as he is moving abroad.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm sure I read that Rangers are owed compensation. The fees are often not much, and it depends on age, how long his contract had to run, how many appearances he made etc. My guess is it'll be a nominal fee in the region of 50-100k.

Agree0 Disagree1

Rangers are entitled to comp according to official website not sure how much though

Agree0 Disagree1

We should watch this player with interest. its my belief he will be picked up very quickly as in next transfer window, having watched young Rangers for many years i thought he was best youngster since Durrant style ability vision graceful feared for him in last game at smeltic shouldnt have worried, showed the boy he wasnt needed and he decided to go back to norway stepped back to go forward we lose again highland bear

Agree3 Disagree0

Think its only about 90k

Agree0 Disagree0

Highland bear the best youngster we have had since durrant is still with us please stand up & be counted jamie ness this boy has it all he can play it long ,short, split a defence, tackle, heeder,he has an eye for goal, bottle & moves like jagger swagger everything a RANGERS midfielder should have, the only down side is he is made of choclate, but I hope he gets over his injury problems because he will walk into that RANGERS team
NTYABOW

Agree2 Disagree1

Agree with the last guy about Ness.Apart from the main down side to his game now, that I am sure with time will come.Like it did for Barry Ferguson, and that is goals. If he adds goals to his game.Ness will be the complete midfielder, for Scotland and a huge EPL club one day.If he puts the work in.For me he is better than Adam for his age.And should have been in the Scotland squad, when he was fit.As the natural replacement,if Adam comes of in big games. We would not need to change our style,if it was working. The two of them in the same team, and Bannen one day.Gives me a lot of hope.Would take Bannen to on loan,in a heart beat.If we could manage to get him from big Eck.Doubt it cos he plays.Good winger good central midfielder to.Great range of passing to like Ness has got.Ally

Agree0 Disagree2

Agree about ness. hope the lad overcomes his injury troubles....soon. may be the answer to a lot of our problems atm. comfortable taking the ball from defence, good passer n has a presence about him. does anyone know what his problem is though?
j1985

Agree0 Disagree0

I would see jamie ness as a young pele but with the dribbling skill of an at his peak maradona and with the aggression and power of gazza combined with roy keane and with just a hint of souness with a little drizzle of lionell messi but a bit better. {Ed001's Note - you don't really rate him then?}

Agree0 Disagree4

Aye his problem is hes rotton

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem is he has one leg shorter than the other and it's causing a knock on effect to his groin.

Agree0 Disagree0

No ed001 i dont rate him just a large slice of sarcasm in that post but i think the rest of the posters on this cant wait to valentines day to send him some love cards.

Don't fancy any of the names mentioned today. Would rather see them recall Kyle Hutton, sign Weiss like they should have last year and give McKay a regular slot. And what happened to Hemmings? He looked like a prospect.

Barry Barry

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Kh is injured at the moment

Agree2 Disagree2

Hutton aint injured

Agree1 Disagree1

Kane hemmings sorry, didn't realise they shared initials...

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha made me laugh that, I think Hutton is still with us atm and am not sure why he wasnt in the squad for yesterdays game

Agree0 Disagree0

There both mince, not rangers class listen I know were all desperate for some new faces but these guys r not the answer! *ksd*

Watching the highlights back from the Motherwell game just reminds me how well Edu played, he broke up nearly everything Motherwell tried, his tackling was great, and a terrific run for the first goal. More of the same from him would be good.

Well there we have it. Proof that we have become a diddy team if some of the fans are happy we are being linked with absolute dross like Hately, Murphy, Sandaza, Riordan, Davidson etc etc. All are utter gash.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

We haven't signed any yet, just wait and see what happens over the window.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who should we sign then? Remember we have limited funds. So you tell me without using football manager who we should sign. Never happy. Even with a horrible squad(acording to you) we will still win the league. Support the team. WATP!

Agree1 Disagree3

Rangers will win f*** all keep kidding yourself son

Agree0 Disagree1

Hatelay would be great for us. He can play centre mid n RB. Would add some substance to us

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2012 21:03:00
Why not Bob Malcolm? Maurice Ross?Charlie Miller?Erik Bo Anderson? Jonaton Johanson? All joking aside, been watchin Mols in the masters and he's still a league above all the dross we've got at present! Heartbreaking!

What's your opinions on Sone Aluko? He looks like a player and a half, 2 footed, able to go past people, hold the ball up, set people up, score goals. Im thinking he could be the steal of the century

Believable16 Unbelievable1

Aye great player good at diving Aberdeen reject sums up your pathetic team henke7

Agree2 Disagree11

That's what the tims said about Kris commons and look what happened there. Ha

Agree8 Disagree0

Kris commons? rings a bell that name. little fat lad was he?

Agree10 Disagree0

Henke7 is Charlie Mulgrew not an Aberdeen reject?

GovanFR

Just shows you how bad your team is now aluko is this great player brilliant and another thing govan mind the gap Henke7

can someone tell me the crack about signing players with this court case hanging over us ive read a couple of times we cant spend money becuase of it (we might hav a bob or 2 if jela moves) i know sums have been ring fenced as well to settle future court cases but its the hmrc im talking about-so why would we sell anybody if we cant buy a replacement right?
i think times up for alot of guys at the club weve quite a bit of dead wood on board-
mcculloch, whitts, wylde havent been that good edu seems to get slated every week but he`s been getting better-guys like kerkar, ortiz, broadfoot, weir arent up to the job healy might get a chance but he`s done nothing at the club in reality, weve a small squad and at least theres 4-5 1st team players there that arent getting a sniff or doing anything to deserve a chance- surely its to many players to carry in our situation, better off giving the boys ago, mcmillan, perry have done better that broadfoot when given a chance
stg

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Completely agree. At the start of the season McMillan played n was brilliant. Give him a couple of starts at RB now Whittaker is out

im not sayin this is the team we are going to have or its even realistic but it should be very realistic for a club as big as glasgow rangers!

greegsy

mcgowan goian boca wallace/papac

aluko davis dorrans templeton

jelavic rhodes

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Have you not been watching or listening over last few years? So many people have to become realistic, we don t have the funds to buy big, quite simple. Rhodes for instance will prob be bought for £5m or so- where will that come from, with Jelavic staying?

Agree6 Disagree3

Did u not read what i put? its not realistic now but it should be for a team like rangers! 50,000 stadaium! 10 years ago that would be a very weak team but now its physically the best we could hope for

Agree0 Disagree3

Have you not been listening or watching over the last year that our owner is a multi Billionaire?
FF81

Agree4 Disagree5

It hope that was a joke FF81

Agree4 Disagree0

Multi billionaire! well we hav seen plenty of his cash......cant get ally's first choice transfers in,cant seem to pay anybody on tjme, cant remember being barred from directorships and ex directors speaking of no funds to take us forward!we are careering to adminstration and still some bears bury their heads in the sand

Agree8 Disagree0

Get off the football manager!

just heard from a reliable source within rangers that kris boyd will snub a move to rangers to sign for crystal palace.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Pure and utter bull i can tell you right now he only wants to play in scotland and the reason being is because his wife to be has said she aint moving she never went to turkey and she aint moving away from scotland they have just built a big extention on there house and they are getting married in june here so stop posting pish kris is wanting back to rangers all 100% true facts!

Why are we wasting so much time talking about players? Who/what is at the helm of our great club? When and how do we force Whyte to start giving us what we deserve ie the truth?! Are we scared of the truth? I am!

Believable19 Unbelievable0

Aye its high time he come out and gave a truthfull statment to the fans and stumped up some serious wedge. I very much doubt he has the money though as he has been proven to be a total liar so far and his behaviour has been a disgrace to the club.

Agree15 Disagree2

C'mon Gers fans, we need action and now! was the pre not the most embarrassing spell in our history? why are we accepting this charade? It's just about to be repeated, make no mistake!

Agree16 Disagree0

Too many Bears are burying their head in the sand, its time we asked some serious questions of Whyte.

Agree15 Disagree0

I'm not bothered about stumping up a wedge! Just want the truth. If the funds are zilch fine but what is the plan to rebuild? what is the future? We have been a badly run business now for 15years!

Agree2 Disagree8

When was the last time you went into a sports shop on holiday and saw a Rangers top? I bet there was a gr**n and white one though? We haven't got the basics right around how to market our product! Amateurs.

Agree10 Disagree0

Yep, when I was last in Plymouth, there was a green and white top available.

Agree4 Disagree1

4 people say they disagree we have been a poorly run business? can you elaborate or give your reasons? You only have to look at our pre season schedules/opposition compared to others?? Fools!

Agree1 Disagree5

Probably disagree with your part about stumping up wedge, i did. No doubt we have been very poorly run though.

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Jan 2012 18:28:14
Why do so many of you believe that you can attract decent players to Ibrox? Even if you can manage to to lure them in on Frees do you seriously think Rangers can afford to pay decent wages?

Incidentally the selling of Jelavic does not mean that the money made will be available for players. Quite the opposite, the money made will go toward the running costs of the club and players wages for the rest of the season.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Why are you interested to such a degree, should you not be doing what other football fans are doing in January ie speculating on transfers in and out of the club they love .Fixated or what.

Agree1 Disagree2

In reply to the initial question, it is only the 'small minority' who might believe all the transfer hype. You have probably heard the TERM being used elsewhere before.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree with OP. Even if he's sold for 7M+ Ally will probably only get a maximum 1M. His previous club are also still owed a sell-on fee, which I believe is 15%, and a payment for the initial transfer but no idea what's still owed.

Agree1 Disagree0

Instead of getting rid of wylde we should put him on loan to Spanish or Portuguese club to get him to learn some skill and fancy footwork to add to his pace and he will be a definite talent to keep...

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Spanish 3rd div? Last time I checked we hardly have enough 1st team players to full the bench and u want to send one out on loan

Agree0 Disagree1

Problem is that in those countries their players have already learned these skills by the time they're Wylde's age. At his age you should be honing your skills, not learning new ones...

Scotland has to start learning lessons from Spain and the Netherlands. Maybe Wotte will be given some time...

Agree2 Disagree1

When he comes back he will be the next Ortiz

Everyone that wants weiss back at the might Gers should set up some kind of petition to persuade ally and whyte to get him back perminatley.... For now if ya would love him back hit the believable button ...

Believable14 Unbelievable10

This guy is sooooo overrated.

fair enough was a rnagers fan in the end up but if he was that good he would surely be playing in the EPL rather than the spanish league

Agree5 Disagree6

Aye coz the spanish league is full of pubs teams and average players. the boy is a talent and a proper footballer unlike most of our players that panic with the ball at there feet. would take weiss in a heartbeat but it wont happen.
johnger

Agree4 Disagree2

If weiss had signed for celtic he would have been the same only in green.wake up

Agree3 Disagree4

If weiss signed for celtic he would still have been a good player but they would probably of used him more and you would have seen he was a talent.

s**te on the transfer front!
Dorrans is rated at 8m..
never getting him!
Andy polo? immense 17yr old
striker bein chased by barca, man u,etc...
never getting him!

jelly will be going this month but not
for the 7,8,9 million your all talking
if anything it'll be the rangers usual,
sell him for about 4-5 with add ons in
4 years time!

we should be scouring the spl and
respective sized leagues for players!

i'd love to see templeton,mclean
and doubt he would come but
paul mcgowan aswell..3 quality
players that know the league and are
doin the business now for far weaker teams
and have plenty of years ahead of thm.

Keep hearing he's not rangers class, Whst is rangers class now? Aluko?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Aluko is a great wee player and incase you hadnt noticed is playing good footy for us i keep hearing this Rangers class but at the end of the day who you want bloody messi!

Agree5 Disagree1

I was dubious about aluko, as i was several of our signings but that lad has done well i wish we could find another 1 or 2 like him! has a bit of sparkle, goian, boca and wallace have done well, ortiz, bedoya, mckay havent , maybe not been given a chance but they have made no impact at the club at all

Aluko, could be the player of the season, growing in confidence with each game, hope he keeps it up,smashing wee player.

Yesterdays display shows we have good players in the young lads just waiting to show their worth. Not saying they are world beaters after 1 game but the promise is definatly there Ally's just got to believe in them

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Young lads? Remind me what age is David healy? Some people talk rubbish on here

Agree4 Disagree0

Fleck, alulko, get weiss back get a good defensive midfeilder

Agree3 Disagree2

Agreed. Just watched the highlights on the beeb, looks as though we played decent football through fleck and aluko in particular. From what i saw, Edu had a pretty good game for us: every attack was started with him making a tackle or gaining possession. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2012 16:25:30
Everyone now jumping on the John Fleck bandwagon. I've said for YEARS the lad has more natural ability than most of our squad put together. They couldn't see that his best position was a number 10, playing off the striker. He was fantastic yesterday, and contributed more in terms of creativity and inventiveness in 80 odd minutes than Wylde, Edu, Davis and the rest have all season. I wouldn't grudge Fleck going elsewhere because to be honest, the way Walter, Ally and all you supporters out there who didn't believe in him have treated him has been shocking. Because he didn't live upto the 'Scotland's Wayne Rooney' tag you booed him and said he wasn't good enough.

Eat your words.

Hope the wee man goes on a run now and proves his ability. He's going to be a brilliant footballer and Scotland international. I just hope it's not too late and he doesn't end up proving it elsewhere.

Steven.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Steven i have always been a fan of fleck and have been frustrated that he has never broken thro but let me tell u one thing bout fleck ........ he is a total ned mate ...... iv lost count the amount of times he has been caught hangin about with total wee ar$holes in Possil (my bro stays there infact ask possil pat form the other page !!) the wee guys attitude has been shocking ever since he signed the 3k a week deal a few year ago .... this is the reason that wattie and ally have had no time for him and y no one has ever taken a punt on him ....... u do he has been lifted (sorry caught by the polis on 3 seperate occasions for things that i cant say or this wouldnt get posted!) if his attitude changes get him in the team in heartbeat however the second smith or walter choose him previously it would have been a slap to all the hard working youngsters putting in twice the shift he does/did. Dont be fooled to think that fleck is the victim here mate ....... all that said i still hope that he gets the finger out and becomes the player he could be capable of becomming.

Germinator

Agree7 Disagree0

Fair enough mate if you know this stuff then I can't comment and if this is true then he should be ashamed as he has been blessed with ability and a chance that every young man would snap your hand off for. I can only go on what I've seen and he is a terrific footballer, a classy player. So he obviously needs to get his finger out off the pitch in order to get onto it.

Cheers Germinator.

Steven.

Agree2 Disagree0

One decent game in ages against a piss poor well, ive said before he`s wasted talent has to do that week in week out, which he has never done, he got this tag as a scottish wayne rooney, but has doing nothing to warrant it, i hope he`s started to grow up a realises the ability he has but he`s getting closer and closer to the ibrox exit
stg

Agree3 Disagree0

I'd heard he was a bit of a chav, and i presume this is why ally doesn't like him? I#ve always used him on Football manager, but if what you're saying is true about the lack of work he puts in, then he doesn't deserve a starting spot. I think Walter treated him pretty well though, gave him the number 10 shirt, didn't he?

Agree1 Disagree0

Fleck is a great wee player. Loads of skill and will get better with a run in the team! He is much better than playing centre halfs in midfield anyway!

Agree0 Disagree2

Actyally fleck didn't want the number 10 jersey. When novo left he forced him to take it. Fleck wasn't keen on it

Hi Guys enjoying reading all the speculation ,,can i wish Jelavic all the best ( thanks for the cash injection) i look forward to watching your career disapear just like the others who thought they could hack it..Boumsong...Thompson..Cousin...Cuellar....enjoy

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Cousin was good enough for the Premiership but had a bad attitude. Cuellar is easily good enough.

Mikel Arteta is probably among the best 10 midfielders in the world at the moment.

So don't talk p1sh.

Agree2 Disagree7

Lol don't think so mate!

Xavi
Fabregas
Busquets
Iniesta
Alonso
Martinez
Gerrard
Lampard
Ozil
Schweinsteiger
Mata

Toure
Nasri
Sneijder
Van der Vaart
Modric

Just a few names that are better than Arteta.

And I'm a Rangers fan before you start!

Steven.

What about forrest, kayal, Ki, brown? All 10 million pound midfielders according to the tims in recent weeks, ha, they don't half talk garbage on the runners up page. Ha

Have a look on here every other day and all the experts saying McKay is crap, Bodoya is crap, Ortez is crap and Healy is crap. How can anyone pass judgement on anyone who hasn,t had a run of games. They get one game and all the experts say what a waste of money blabla bla but they are willing to put up with Davis playing crap, wylde playing crap Edu, McCulloch etc every game. In Healy,s case i ask you how can this man be rubbish when he,s scored more international goals than some world class strikers whist playing for a poor international team, give them a bloody chance

Believable6 Unbelievable14

On the presumption that edu and mcculloch are in the 1st team means they are worse does it not! and when theve had a sniff they havent looked that good- if healy played anything he does for NI id be well happy but he`s there to make up the numbers, 1 goal against a s**te well team doesnt mean he`s the answer- he missed a couple of total sitters as well, ring rust you could say but that header was guff! id love to see him ripple the net a few times!
stg

Agree10 Disagree0

Just because they are in the first team does not make them better players its just McCoist would rather play for a 1 0 or worse still a draw rather than attack teams. I can,t comment on how good Bodoya or McKay are as they havn,t had a run of games. Don,t think too much fans were excited by the arrival of Boganegra but he got a run in the team because of injury and doesn,t deserve to be moved. If these players are as crap as you say they are then its pretty bad that the likes of Durrant etc recommended them and then we spent money on them??

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Jan 2012 15:23:29
If I was David healy I'd ask for a transfer and land ally right in it, ally doesn't deserve healy he hasn't given the guy a chance and if it wasn't for injuries he still wouldn't be getting a chance.

Believable3 Unbelievable10

How van u disagree? Healy wouldn't be near the team if it wasn't for injuries

Agree3 Disagree5

Hold on m8 the reason he was not getting a chance was because last season you would not drop nasiy, jelavic or laffarty he was not match fit either and this season he has been injured so what do you do?

Agree2 Disagree2

There have been loads of times when we have played 4-5-1 game crying out for healy and ally has stuck on mcculloch or broadfoot before healy

Agree2 Disagree2

Hold on m8 the reason he was not getting a chance was because last season you would not drop nasiy, jelavic or laffarty he was not match fit either and this season he has been injured so what do you do?
================
when gers were 2 and 3 goals up last season with 20 mins to go in games thats when you put healy on to get him game time/ goals/confidence etc so that when you need him he is ready. thats how you manage squad players and make them feel part of the team.

Agree2 Disagree0

Aye because he lacked match fitness! i really like healy and think this could be his year but he has struggled with match fitness and injures

Agree0 Disagree2

Aye but we weren't even giving him 30 mins

Agree0 Disagree0

So that wid o been when walter smith was gaffer? not ally?

I love this point of the season when all the bullsh!t of the day comes out about who in and who out. When most of us have no clue and very rarely call anything right.

One rumour making me feel physically sick right now is Sandanza! I really will throw in the towel if this man signs. He cant run, he cant trap a ball and he is slower than Weir!! By God I would sooner have a fat Boyd back!

GDog
WATP

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Have to agree, Sandaza is Samaras without the pace. And thats bad!

Drew

He managed to run our defenders in to the ground a few weeks ago ok and he has scored 12 goals already this season 6 more than big laff!

i think riordan could do a good job upfront for us has the skill ,would need to up his work ethic .good to see john fleck getting a chance if he got consistent run of games he could be the creative player we have been lacking and take some of the pressure of davis by giving him a runner between mid and attack
skyebear

Believable1 Unbelievable8

As a Celtic fan i can say that Riordan was at his level with hibs. Cudnt make the step up when he signed for the hoops.

get a decent quality replacement for
that kind of money. Also if we could
offload Ortiz, Kerkar etc and replace
with Boyd, Templeton or something
similar, that would be good business.
It seems we need players off the wage
budget if we want new blood.

Realistic targets for me are

Boyd
Novo
O'Connor
Templeton
mehdi touil

I would of liked to get Yakubu at the
start of the season but never happened
and we wont get him now to replace Jela.

Someone like that would lift the fans.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

All the players you have mentioned coming in are rotten except Templeton and wouldn't improve us one little bit.

Agree3 Disagree1

Sorry mate i genuinely believe that if gers get 7m for jelly then 1 million max will be used for transfers. I cant see any extra money being given to Ally either .... our budget will be about 10-20 % of the transfer fee taken for jelly im afraid no extra unless other sales are done. :o(

CW yer a liar, cheat ,conman etc and thats being kind. The once great name of Rangers is now tarnished due to this mug. Dragged through courts on what seems like a weekly basis, making phantom or derogatory bids for players, ridiculed by the media. Proven to be a liar by the bbc. Has no money to invest. What a tool yet we all stand by and let him destroy our club. Some fans eh.

Believable28 Unbelievable19

Ok Einstein, who else is willing to put money in. And please don't suggest any of the previous mob who GOT us into this mess. SDM was given a free ride by the last lot and look where we are. I am not thrilled at Whytes performance but currently he is the only game in town.

Agree6 Disagree25

The point is he's not put ANY money in. Just shifted debt elsewhere and borrowed money against season tickets etc. Not one penny of his money has went into the club. Mainly because it seems he has NONE.

Agree22 Disagree5

If I'm not mistaken you are the same person that posted last week about CW and us fans. What is your point? This rubbish about (some fans eh) what are you going on about. If you really are a Rangers fan well get behind your team, manager and chairman. This is a massive month in the history of our club. Yes CW has made mistakes. He's trying to sort out the mess the previous owner SDM left our club in. Of coarse I'm not happy the way the club has ended up over the last 5yrs (financial troubles) but the only thing I'm interested in is winning on the field. My job for Rangers is to support the team home and away. I will leave the running of the club to the money men......
FF81

Agree14 Disagree21

I see you are quick to blame Whyte for the mess Rangers are in.

Haven't you noticed that he is the only person who took over the mess? Was there anybody else in the running to take over our club.....NO!

Since you seem to be in the KNOW, why don't you tell us something we DON'T know about the guy and stop judging the guy because of daft, or even false allegations.

We might not be buying the title like our neighbours from the east end, they can bring in any tom, richard and harry they like. We will still chase them to the end, no matter how depleted our squad is.

Just accept the times of spending millions is over.

TTG

Agree6 Disagree21

Whyte maybe they things he may not be .... point is we dont / didnt have a choice ..... we would have been far deeper doo doo if whyte hadnt come in ..... is he the answer ? god knows but he was the only answer gers could come up with at the time ........ If Murray really cared ... like really cared about rangers and not money then he would be worth the same as 90% of the fans that support rangers instead he is a millionaire ... dont forget that bit .... Murray is and was more interested in money and fame than rangers ...... cos on a personal note if i was rangers chairman or in murrays position I would have cleared all debt afore selling up, even if it meant losing other companies i had .... heart would rule the head in this matter. Murray has enough money to clear the debt but didnt he is no more a fan or had/has rangers best interests at heart than whyte does.

However the dilemma is that with me loving my club so much your torn trying to figure out if u had the choice over the murray era would you have changed it ?! i can sit here and moan all i want but 100 yrs from now it will say gers won 9 in a row it wont mention that at one point we were 50/60 m in debt .....we will outlive the debt ... we will never outlive the memory of 9 in a row. Saying that tho ill still say that Murray had his wallets interests always ahead of rangers interests .... some gers fans should be mindful of that wen comparing whyte and murray.

By no ways is this any particular defence of Whyte or an attack on Murray just a rant lol after reading some of the posts today. (i havent read any of it back or that so god knows just how coherent it is !!)

Whats daft about it? Whats he done for us? Nothing is what and as for false allegations he has been proven to be a liar. That is a FACT.

My point i stand up and demand action from this man Whyte and let him know what is expected of him. Ie decent funds made available for signings, at least to prove he has money to invest in the team and that he genuinely cares about the team and fans and for no more lies to be told and stop besmirching the name of our club.

Agree20 Disagree1

Craig Whyte cannot be investing money before the tax case otherwise our payment to hmrc will be ridiculous! simple as. CW is playing the long game and I genuinely believe that one day he will be regarded as a hero

"Supporters" like the original poster drive me nuts! First they wanted Murray out, now they want Whyte out! Never happy and seem to think we have a devine right to win every game and have millions to spend. We don't, get used to it or else put your hand in your pocket and invest a few million! Football is a business, and a business has to make money. Until the tax is out of the way we won't know what the future holds, so until then just support your team!

Why have we let our best midfield prospect, Kyle Hutton, go back out on loan again? He has proven in a few games he is ready for the first team, is fit and ready to play and is an area we need hungry players, yet he is off? I would far rather have Hutton in there than waste silly amounts of money on Dorrans who won't be arriving anyway. What a way to p*** off th talent which Murray Park is actually producing. Not happy with that move at all.

I can understand that Craig Whyte is trying to run the club like a business, hopefully though not like those that he ran into the ground.. Anyway, what I can't understand is why he now says that there is no money for players, unless we sell and even then it won't be everything. He knew about the HMRC issue when he bought the club, and surely no-one relies on Champions League income as this isn't guaranteed. Where then is the money that he PROMISED when he took over?

Believable9 Unbelievable1

He has no money, he's a liar a cheat and a conman. Let your feelings be known either outside Ibrox or at the next home match. He is destroying the good name of our club.

Agree9 Disagree6

Welcome to the world of how to run a business, you say what it takes to get what you want and then go back on your word, the next couple of years are going to be hard, its time to get real, what manager would want to come to Ibrox the now, poor squad and no money to improve it, love him or hate him we've got Ally till the end of the season and most likely next season. Regarding Craig Whyte, all he's done is move the debt from one account to another. Scottish football wont and never will have some rich Arab or Russian putting money into a piss poor league.

Agree2 Disagree2

Who mentioned anything about Ally in the original post so what you talkin about? Its Whyte thats the problem.

Agree2 Disagree0

I have never been sure about whyte but one thing is for certain, after Jan we will know what his game is. This transfer window and taxcase has made January one of the most defining months in our history

Agree1 Disagree0

The point i was trying to make was a over all view, some Gers fans are wanting Ally sacked, which is out of order, he's getting very little if any support from Whyte, i don't totally blame Whyte, some of the blame goes to Sir David Murray, however Whyte should'nt have made claims about having money to buy players. Dont think we spent the £5 million that was promised for each season during the summer. Whyte should come out and say okay this is wants really happening.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yip he's spent nothing, certainly not out of his own pocket anyway and has given Ally hardly any support. And agreed a statement from Whyte and a truthful one at that would go a long way.

Having been worried when Craig Whyte took over and the carry on with players in the last transfer window I am now worried about the coming month. If we are to put up a challenge against a sh*** celtic team we need at least two forwards of a good standard, a winger to feed balls in, a creative midfielder as Davis is not doing it and a right back. Four players will not be cheap and also I'll be glad to see the back of Jelavic, some good goals in his time but he's not interested and it shows.
Four in a row is ours if we get the right players no problem!!!!!!!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

If Celtic are that sh..e why do u need 5 new players at least to win league..."....DH

Agree7 Disagree0

How do u work out its a s**te celtic team on current form

Agree5 Disagree0

Well we ain't going to win the league with one fit striker are we? It's not possible.

Celtic are on a gd run of form, fair play to yous. But they aren't exactly as gd as all you Dhims think.

It was proven last season, but now Rangers have a more inferior squad now than they did last season whilst Celtic have strengthened, it is no surprise Celtic are top of the league.

In recent seasons we have made a number of atrocious signings. However, we have also had a few good finds.

Beattie, Velicka and Ortiz were some of the worst.

However, players such as Weiss, Bougherra and Bocanegra were examples of real good finds. How many of us had heard of Bougherra before he signed.

Hopefully we get that Sutter. Reckon he could be a top signing for us. {Ed014's Note - I follow Man City down here.Weiss? Are you kidding on?I would hate to see him anywhere near Rangers again, very over rated and isn't as good as he thinks he is.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Ed weiss is better than most of the s**te we have at the moment fact {Ed014's Note - Not from what I've seen of him FACT

Agree2 Disagree2

Ed014 I suppose it's just differences of opinion but I too liked Weiss as a player, considering his age, he has a lot of natural ability. All SPL teams put two men on him which helped create space for the others. I'd love to get him back, he is young and a good chance to make money.

GovanFR

Agree3 Disagree0

I thought his legs moved faster than his brain. Pace to burn with a couple of tricks in the locker but not a lot else, in my humble opinion.

Most followers of football would have heard of Bocca before we got him. He has about 98 caps for the USA as their skipper!

Ed, spot on about Weiss, he certainly ain't as good as he thinks......

.....but he is good enough to do a job for the Gers again. I may be wrong but I am sure he finished top of the assisst charts at the end of last season, so he done his bit.

I'd like to see him back at Rangers, with him on the left and Aluko on the right, we would finally have two wingers who can actually whip a decent cross in...

TTG

Agree2 Disagree0

I watched weiss pre season for city against a team in america an he was the best player on the pitch, the guy has real potential unlike "fleck", and it's clear to see he is very inconsistent but if he played to his potential alll the time he could be superb!

Expect jelavic , davis , fleck to leave in the next few days , {Ed001's Note - I very much doubt they would be able to do so without a court order, the account holder would have to agree to it, which would mean it was just an agreed payment.}

Thats the best football we have played all season apart from maybe the 2nd half v them at ibrox, and it also convinces me that Ally is not the man for the job....he 'had' to play Healey, who had an excellent match, and with Laff going off and Fleck coming in, we had to play it on the floor, no high ball sh*** to Jella to head on for 'himself'....some of the one touch and link up play was superb, between Aluko, Wallace, Fleck., Healey Davis, and even Edu, who i thought had his best game in ages, because it wasn't back to front stuff.
Healey was chasing their keeper down in the 90th minute, and took his goal superbly, but my point is, Ally would never have played Fleck and Healy if his hand wasnt forced , and like the tic away, it woulda been laff and jella up, and a big punt up the park, if jella was there??
Really enjoyed the game today, and we cruised it, unlike ICT, St Mirren, Killie, Septic, St Johnstone at home......i wonder what the difference was eh?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

He may now realise that we can play well getting the ball on the deck and passing. Aluko, Fleck were outstanding the day, Fleck shouild now be given a good run in the team. Went to the game today And I was impressed with the peRformance. I was concerned when lafferty went off but the system with fleck, Davis and aluko attacking behind Healy worked! We have been playing s**te fitba and today's performance is what I want to see at Ibrox. Mccoist needs to stamp his style on the team and I thought we looked like a good side today, passed the ball well, good movement and I think a lot of that was down to aluko and fleck. Fleck
Had a great game and I think the fans are too quick to moan at him. The guy beside me was giving him pelters and he was playing great! Why hasnt ally tried fleck behind jelavic? He could maybe be the answer to linking up the mIdfield to attack with naisy out. Aluko was also very good today and looks like a real find, his skill and overall play was superb, and nice goal after a good move. I think if jelavic goes we should get half the money. We could get some quality signings for 3 - 4m. We could take a Punt on wee riordan, defo get boydy in, proven in spl. I would also like to see templeton or Mehdi Touil signed as they are good and would cost nothing. The lad from Falkirk could be a good cheap option too. Novo? Why not? He scored the goal that took us to manchester so he deserves another go and he loves the gers!
