New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Jermain Defoe to Rangers?

03 Jan 2019 22:04:40
Theres not a lot if any teams out there can say they have an mbe (gareth mccauley) and an obe (jermain defoe) play in the same team.

03 Jan 2019 23:37:47
And a manager AND assistant manager with an MBE and another MBE on the way with Davis. Add Greig, Ray Wilkins (RIP) and McCoist to that and there's nearly a team of bluenoses honoured by their country.

03 Jan 2019 21:40:28
Once again the board and the managers have played a blinder . Bringing in two quality epl players that will undoubtably add quality to our title challenge.
I do feel morelos will leave in the window but I’m sure we won’t be turned over and will receive the market rate for him £12-15 m- I know this won’t be popular but it will give the manager the funds to build for the long term and enable him to afford Kent etc.
Still feel we need a number 10 to help create as when arfield has been missing we have really struggled- James Morrison has only has 6 months left! And could be worth a shout. Going to be an interesting transfer window 😜.

03 Jan 2019 22:52:49
Don’t think Morelos will be sold during window l think Defoe will more of a impact till he gets up to speed to many goals to lose if he goes.

04 Jan 2019 06:11:21
Think Morelos will stay. Defoe if anything will be used as stand in for any Buffalo dismissals, issues with injury etc. We need to keep Buffalo and 1 other as personally would prefer 4-4-2.

03 Jan 2019 20:30:01
C'mon all you sceltic fans.
Let's hear your opinion on the Defoe signing.
You seem to have opinions on everything associated with our great club.
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2019 20:57:24
Glad to hear Defoe has signed for us. Does this mean Morelos will be sold? I sincerely hope not.

03 Jan 2019 21:52:56
I vaguely remember someone from the dark side asking, 'have yous no signed Defoe yet' a few months ago.
Suppose the answer to that must be yes now lol.

03 Jan 2019 22:07:08
Andyboyblue, he could be a good acquisition but he is 36. Alves looked to be good business at the time but he was pretty poor in the end. The worst case scenario for us is that he turns out to be a success but for how long, a year, maybe two? That’s my honest opinion.

03 Jan 2019 22:13:37
Sorry, I should’ve added, he’s an exciting signing, it’s got people talking, so credit to yous for that.

04 Jan 2019 08:12:54
Fair enough coybig.
But in your honest opinion would you not be happy if you had signed such a prolific striker with the experience Defoe has?
Even at 36 he'll still be able to find the net and have huge impact on the younger players our great club.

04 Jan 2019 09:53:23
Probably yes. He’s a big name, no question, and I was always a fan of his, particularly when he played alongside Darren Bent. If he signs for Celtic, we’re always going to be positive about his potential impact, if he signs for Rangers, we’ll look for the negatives. You guys will do exactly the same.

04 Jan 2019 10:49:21
Good honesty coy big, 100% correct answer. I'd have been a bit wary if he signed for you, but wouldn't have told any of my celtic supporting mates.

03 Jan 2019 20:19:10
hat off to the board for backing the manager fantastic signings in steve davis and defoe and only 3 days into the window 1 or 2 new faces and the fuse for the timplosion will be ready for lighting let's go.

03 Jan 2019 22:01:02
Davis taking a 80% pay cut and Defoe on loan So there isn’t much outlay to be fair. I think we will spend money on a transfer fee this month haven’t a clue who on though.

05 Jan 2019 01:34:08
The manks will definatly panic buy now which usually ends in tears.

03 Jan 2019 19:52:00
How about this for an 11

4-4-2 Diamond
GK- McGregor
RB- Tav
RCB- Goldson
LCB- take your pick from Katic/ Worral/ McAuley
LB- Barisic
DM- Jack
RCM- Davis
LCM- Arfield
AM- Dorrans
ST- Morelos
ST- Defoe

I can smell 55.or it might be their arses clapping across the city.

03 Jan 2019 19:59:46
Forgot about Kent. Nice problem to have I suppose after the past few years of your Harry Foresters and Eduardo Herreras in the squad.

03 Jan 2019 20:06:07
Where’s Kent and I still don’t think Gerrard will play 2 up top.

03 Jan 2019 20:27:27
No Kent or Candeias kind of cuts of a lot of supply and width.

03 Jan 2019 20:28:11
Zero width? he's no going to change who shape and formation that works for us for 1 player. u just leaving kent out all together player in side with most flair? Awful 11.

03 Jan 2019 20:35:11
Looks great to me blue89,
Although until Dorrans is fit, I'm sure we could play Kent in there.
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2019 21:01:19
My Gers 11 4-2-3-1
Shagger obviously
LB Halliday LCB Katic RCB Goldson RB Tav
CM Jack CM Davis
LW Kent CAM Arfield RW Candeias
CF Morelos (Defoe to come on for last 20-30) depending how games going.
Bench:
Worral
Barisic
McCrorie
Dorrans
Murphy
Defoe
Lafferty.

03 Jan 2019 21:37:09
To be fair when all players are fit I have no idea what he would see as his best 11 let alone the formation. For now I think he will probably stick with what we have been playing but I do wonder how much Defoe will play. If he sticks with 1 up top, you can't drop Morelos and I am pretty sure Defoe ain't going to like sitting on the bench for us so what does SG do? Does he go 2 up top and go for it? Or does he just use Defoe for games against supposedly lesser teams and if and when Morelos gets suspended, I suppose we will just have to wait and see but it will be interesting.

03 Jan 2019 21:39:51
There would always be a starting slot in our team for a fit ryan kent! He's by far the most creative player at ibrox! Superb winger is kent!

03 Jan 2019 22:17:38
Defoe has been warming the bench at best at AFCB, so even 20-30 mins per game as sub will be a huge increase in his playing time.

03 Jan 2019 22:54:29
Horses for courses! I would expect Defoe to be more likely to play in the bigger games where teams want to attack so he can play on the shoulder of the last man and get in behind.

In games where we struggle to break teams down like Livvy or the Sheep we may play 2 up top. I think Defoe would suit playing alongside a target man like big Lafferty aswell.
Like you said though guys exciting times 🤗.

04 Jan 2019 00:09:40
Could play Defoe or morelos in the no 10 role. Defoe loves a dig from outside the box. Which is something we have been missing.

03 Jan 2019 18:38:38
Just witnessed the pictures beamed back by the Chinese rocket from the dark side of the moon. Am positive a could make out Bhampot and a few other of them hiding in a crater😂.

03 Jan 2019 19:38:10
And the moon howlers are back to stripping of titles, they certainly are rattled😎.

03 Jan 2019 20:17:53
They found the ball fae the Tom Rogic penalty in the semi final.

04 Jan 2019 13:47:56
You sure it’s pictures from the DSM is it not Celtic Disco lights for the champions league.

03 Jan 2019 17:29:40
Heard this last night, did not believe it. Also hearing bigger transfer news coming
Not, Davis or Morelos.

03 Jan 2019 17:44:57
Who then Jboy21?Put us out our misery mate!

03 Jan 2019 17:47:57
JBoy

Are you referring to Defoe or something else.

03 Jan 2019 17:58:30
Truly think jermain defoe will be a superb signing for us. He's a natural finisher and will score goals for fun for us! A special thank you to our terrific, worldwide, iconic manager, the one and only steven gerrard! Because make no doubt about it, the reason defoe has signed for rangers, is because steven gerrard is our manager! We would never have been able to sign defoe, if it weren't for stevie G! His name is massive and bigger than celtic's brenda rodgers!
Thats why we beat them to defoe's signature! Gerrard is some draw for us. Don't you just love the rangers manager! What a pro he is. Absolutely buzzing with this signing!

03 Jan 2019 18:12:23
Super and mols not Defoe, I was not given a name, guy who told me these guys plus likes of Arfield, mcgregor Katic says he will keep digging and get back to me.
No matter what happens, if we only get they two a great window
Let's move, Wallace, Pena, etc.

03 Jan 2019 19:11:12
I hope Defoe still has something in the tank.
We can all remember when the east end mob bought Freddie Ljungberg and Ian Wright big names, big failures.
I hate to be a grump but I will reserve judgement until Defoe has played a few games.
I truly hope I am wrong and you can all remind me how uncertain I was when we signed him.

03 Jan 2019 20:06:15
4th choice striker at Bournemouth. 4 goals in 16 months. 36 years old
Aye great signing 😂😂😂😂😂.

03 Jan 2019 20:28:47
Lallana.

03 Jan 2019 22:12:39
In other words egd or edg or whatever, your arse has just collapsed! Defoe will rip your lot a new one, no doubt about it. Now away back to the one syllable squad.

04 Jan 2019 03:41:46
Jones from Killie on pre-contract.

04 Jan 2019 13:44:15
With Defoe have a great chance of the league now!

03 Jan 2019 17:28:15
Defoe + Davis are superb signings - wonder what's for dessert?

03 Jan 2019 17:46:19
Hopefully not q big pudding for dessert. we just got shot of one back to Roma. 😂.

04 Jan 2019 10:51:01
True blue I wrote here last night re my source saying major transfer to happen, not Defoe or Davis.
My trusted friend says we wat llalanna on loan as our number ten
This is a definitely rumour which I struggle to believe
Ed you are in touch with all things Liverpool, any thoughts.

{Ed001's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Rangers, Bournemouth are the only club I know to show interest in him, but I have not been checking up since before Xmas as my family are all here. He certainly needs some playing time.}

04 Jan 2019 11:42:46
Cheers ed. keep your ear to the ground, I feel something brewing .

{Ed001's Note - I will ask but the lad was very keen to go back down south not so long ago, you never know though.}

04 Jan 2019 13:45:04
Pena to Turkey would be delicious.

03 Jan 2019 17:08:41
Morelos and defoe upfront 😍.

03 Jan 2019 17:04:31
If we have Defoe and Davis this month then the league title is on!

03 Jan 2019 17:10:54
We are rolling the dice. game on!

03 Jan 2019 17:25:46
Off the field Defoe is a gentleman, he gives big money too boys clubs etc, remember the young child at Sunderland? So the guy has character, not just a good player but a decent human being.

{Ed0333's Note - he also advertised a job to be his skivvy and didn’t want to pay the going rate.

04 Jan 2019 13:46:11
Yes good point mate he is a class player and a class man
He will fit in perfectly at our club.

03 Jan 2019 16:50:27
With us now signing Defoe do fellow fans think he could be morelos replacement as there will be a lot of interest in him.
I hope not would like to see morelos and Defoe play together.

03 Jan 2019 17:12:21
There is a strong possibility Alfie May go. If a stupid offer comes in, the board may not be able to knock it back. i'm afraid that’s football.

03 Jan 2019 17:21:25
That was my initial thought that he might be a replacement for Morelos. Hopefully not and if morelos does go it's in the summer to keep the title challenge going this season.

03 Jan 2019 17:30:51
£20 million would be the silly money that would see him go - after all he is here to win the league (55) and stop cfc getting to 10 in a row.

03 Jan 2019 17:35:04
Yeh if a good offer comes in he prob will go i just hope not these 2 could form a lethal partnership.

03 Jan 2019 19:48:10
I think Stevie G will do everything he can to keep Morelos. Remember Defoe has the clause to be recalled at various times so I doubt Gerrard would thanks the gamble of selling Alfie unless we get another striker in.

03 Jan 2019 16:14:09
Have we really just signed defoe.

03 Jan 2019 16:27:46
Looks like an 18 month loan deal just breaking on SSN wow!

03 Jan 2019 16:29:35
If true? How are we going to pay him?

03 Jan 2019 16:31:52
Have u seen his wikipedia page somebody has been at the editing lol.

03 Jan 2019 16:41:12
It's breaking on sky sports news two recall points summer 2919 and Jan 2020 ulsterman who cares how we're paying him? we've just got the 7 th all time PL top scorer
Between that and no action on Fredo what a day!

03 Jan 2019 16:57:37
Ok Dic, point taken.

03 Jan 2019 17:31:17
Dlc “who cares how we’re paying him” come ashore man, I care how we’re paying him the last thing we need is another financial meltdown, I think it’s a great signing as long as it’s within budget.

03 Jan 2019 19:35:58
Great Post Highlandbear81. We can't go down the same root as before and need to stay within our budget. I want a strong team on the pitch but we can't go back to the dark days. We have had a great season so far, and better than I could of ever believed. What ever happens at the end of the season. we are a completely different machine and will be even stronger next season. In Gerrard we trust, bring home 55.

03 Jan 2019 16:10:26
So we are going from having the best striker in Scotland to having the 2 best strikers in Scotland. DECENT.

03 Jan 2019 16:36:44
Let's wait and see how he gets on, yes Defoe 10 years ago was a dispatcher and I am not saying he won't score goals but let's not forget he is 36 and not the same player now. I hope he scores a bunch of goals for us but let's not get too carried away as it's a loan deal for a 36 year old EX England international and current Bournemouth player who he can't get a game for, I hope he blows everyone away but let's wait and see.

03 Jan 2019 16:54:55
Are you Arthur D in disguise 😂😂🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2019 16:07:30
Defo agreed - 18 month loan
Wonder how much we will be paying him.

03 Jan 2019 15:55:54
Daily Rag says
"Morelos boots Brown in unseen incident"
it then has a link for a video and also shows the referee giving a foul - unseen my ass.

03 Jan 2019 19:02:23
Ha meltdown on the other side . especially with the Ralston incident which I find hilarious as although there was contact from Alfredo’s boot, the boy rolled as if he was hooked up to a taser gun . brill.

03 Jan 2019 14:34:09
There has been a lot of peeps saying Steve Davis and Jermain Defoe are too old, but remember some of our legends who joined us in their 30's such as Trevor Francis, Ronald De Boer and Claudio Caniggia. I'm convinced both players would do a superb job for us.

03 Jan 2019 15:11:28
would be very good signings for us Davis we all no what he can do and same goes for Defoe we no what he is about just the 2 types of players we currently need for the team and good short term options regardless of there age.

03 Jan 2019 15:48:00
De Boer was only just turned 30 when he joined Rangers. And his knee was completely gone. We did not get the best from him.

03 Jan 2019 16:18:56
De Boer's 2nd best was pretty darn good!

03 Jan 2019 16:18:58
Remember canniggia, was he not 36-37 when he joined us? He still had it. Hopefully Davis and Defoe are as successful.

03 Jan 2019 14:02:36
No disciplinary action against Morelos as per reports online. Thank God the SFA have seen sense and all the tims and press can wind their necks back in.

Thought John Beaton had an excellent game. Wasn't card happy, let the game flow and used common sense throughout.

03 Jan 2019 14:21:47
Must admit i think he is lucky to escape a ban. He really needs to screw the nut. Yes, go in hard as he normally would, but cut out the silly kick outs and petulant flicks. They will be watching him closer than ever now. We need him on the park, not sitting in the stand.

03 Jan 2019 14:26:02
Good news indeed, but he continues doing daft things that could get him in trouble. I agree that John Beaton had an excellent game, football is a physical game and a card happy ref can ruin it.

03 Jan 2019 14:47:08
Very surprised but relieved. Queue the meltdown from the east.

03 Jan 2019 15:13:24
i honestly don't think there was ever a chance he was going to get suspended. The "incidents" were trivial and didn't warrant a red card. stupid to do them but nothing in them

and due to the fact the sfa create a line when rescinded his red against sheep on day one meant they couldn't ban him as these were by far and away a lesser "offence" than the kick at ocooner.

03 Jan 2019 15:25:06
Just read that “big nose Sutton “ is calling the SFA shambolic for not finding Morelos guilty, no one was hurt last week, it’s not as if they were serious challenges, big nose reminds me of a baby who doesn’t get his food on time, always yapping. Ok Morelos is no saint, but was Sutton? or is Brown? People have short memories, especially that clown with the big snout.

03 Jan 2019 15:49:59
Watched the game again last night
The ref gave a foul for kicking Browns nuts and was in a completely unobstructed view for the other two incidents.
To go against the ref's decision of a foul would have been a big decision and to say the ref saw what happened, chose to take no action would be a huge decision -tantamount to saying ref was totally cheating
but Fredo does need to screw the bobbin.

03 Jan 2019 15:48:45
Think SG needs a word with El Buffalo. Every area of Press/ Media going to be on his back for every reaction he makes. Time he realised this and screwed the nut. My initial reaction on thought of Defoe and Davis coming was one of salivation. But also Defoe might help Buffalo to calm down.

03 Jan 2019 13:53:44
Alfredo won't face any disciplinary action! They will be raging over that hahahahaa.

03 Jan 2019 14:02:11
Seen that, I was even surprised a wee bit!

But your right they will be spitting!

03 Jan 2019 14:16:20
Absolutely love this.

03 Jan 2019 14:25:30
I see Sutton is already weeping about it, don't suppose he's noticed browns antics over the years though, his elbows must be worn out!

03 Jan 2019 13:24:08
This won't be popular😂, but what about the Scott Allan coming to Gers rumour, thoughts? I think he would be a great signing, anytime he has played against us he has been immense, obviously he could have dug his heels in at hibs and crossed the divide but good young Scottish player with a point to prove?

03 Jan 2019 13:39:29
No chance
We want players that want to play for the jersey not just interested in money
Allan doesn’t or he would already be here.

03 Jan 2019 13:52:45
He is no longer a young player at 27 years old. You have to ask why a guy of his ability has not become the key fixture in a team. He is well travelled and tells me he is player who only plays when it suits him and not the team.

Is he better than Ejaria - yes. Even if it is an option, this would only come about if freed by Celtic which they would only do in the last day of the Window if at all. You would definitely not pay any kind of fee for him and if we were to commit a salary to this guy it should only be on the basis of a rolling one year contract.

The chances of all of this are slim and the money is much better spent on someone with ambition which he clearly does not have.

03 Jan 2019 14:08:01
I don't think we're remotely interested in signing scott allan whatsoever! Nothing here imo to get our knickers in a twist about! Think he will and let him go back to the hivees, that's his level! He's a wee scrotum! I would never trust scott allan or what he says ever again!

03 Jan 2019 15:23:48
Totally correct Coop, supported Rangers all his days with Andy Halliday his best mate then at the press conference with the Tim’s denies he ever supported us😭😡🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2019 12:38:55
A lot of papers reporting that Defoe will sign for us and also the bookies have slashed the odds he’s currently 4/ 5 and also with Solanke not going to Palace he could potentially end up here on loan for the remainder of the season.

If not any of these strikers who else would you like to see move to Ibrox?

03 Jan 2019 13:16:05
Defoe for me.

03 Jan 2019 13:41:45
Defoe is a talent. But his best days are behind him. Only 32 appearances in the last two years. Scored for fun at TFC in Toronto but got hurt right away (only played 16 games) . He's one good tackle away from being as good as Rossiter has been. I would prefer spending effort on developing players with future potential. Defoe isn't going to be helping us 2 years from now.

03 Jan 2019 14:04:21
blue-north we can do both. Defoe would be a good move for us if it was a loan until the end of the season, and it certainly wouldn't impact on our youth development. Two years from now Defoe will probably be retired and maybe a player like Andy Dallas will have made the great leap forward necessary to play for Rangers. No conflict at all.

03 Jan 2019 14:09:55
But defoe could greatly help us stopping them, getting 10 in a row!
Think about the short-term of that first mate!

03 Jan 2019 15:14:59
add in the knowledge alfie, dallas and any other young striker around ibrox will learn from defoe

its a no brainer if the money is right.

03 Jan 2019 11:58:20
If the stories of Davis agreeing a 12k salary are true, in my eyes, he goes from club legend to club +++ LEGEND.

03 Jan 2019 10:44:53
Just an observation about the game on Saturday. Gers had five Scottish players in the starting XI which is very encouraging, i. e. McGregor, Halliday, Jack, McCrorie and Arfield. Before anyone jumps on this, Arfield was born in Scotland though he is referred to as a Canadian footballer. I'm not in favour of scouring Europe for little known players in Greece, Portugal or wherever. We have more Scots in our youth squad who could come through with Dorrans and Murphy to come back. Could be all-Scottish team soon!

03 Jan 2019 10:59:44
Before we went down we had a great scottish spine in a successful period. I think it's a must as they truely know what it means to play for rangers.

03 Jan 2019 11:16:51
it is great to see a few Scottish players in our team but for us to be successful on the pitch and off it we also have to look at signing players from abroad who we can make money on just like Alfredo.

03 Jan 2019 14:07:12
I don't care if they come from Brazil, Bulgaria or Balloch as long as they enhance our team and take us forward to where we belong.

03 Jan 2019 09:50:17
If we can secure kent on a permenant deal, I would like to see us look outside the UK for other young established players.2 I would like to come to Ibrox are Viktor Fischer attacking midfielder, 24 years old and Danish international valued at 3.5 million.8 assists and 7 goals in 13 games. Also Efthimis Koulouris, Greek international plays striker valued at 2 million 11 goals in 13 games, a natural striker. Your thoughts fellow bears.

03 Jan 2019 10:03:34
BlueBoy just because a newspaper suggests we look at players doesn’t actually mean we are interested. I’m sure SG and my have their own targets in mind. You shouldn’t believe everything you read!

03 Jan 2019 10:23:44
Take it you read hitc blueboy.

03 Jan 2019 10:31:30
Aye blueboy. Try and pass off a story in the DR as your own thoughts. Priceless mate. Keep them coming. Next you’ll be telling us we are in for Gauld.

03 Jan 2019 13:23:09
and so the new year starts as the last one finishes - RFC posters attacking RFC posters - is it so wrong if someone posts their thoughts on signings? it doesn't matter where they got the idea from.

Also a rumour started that RFC could bid for Scott Allan or am I not allowed to post this because other RFC posters might be annoyed?

Remember, Solanke is a paper rumour as is Defoe and Shankland.

03 Jan 2019 09:19:37
The best piece of transfer business, we should try everything to do this transfer window, is try and agree a fee with liverpool,
for the permanent signing of winger ryan kent! The friendship with liverpool, could be massive here, in our attempts to sign kent permanently, from under the noses of intetested clubs, like leeds utd etc. Even though it will most probably take around £3million-£4million to get kent from liverpool,
it would be a great investment longterm, as when the inevitable came, when clubs came for kent in 3 or 4 years from now, it would be money well spent on this terrifically,
skillful, young winger, as we would get easily 3 or 4 times that we paid liverpool for him! I reckon we could fetch around £10million upwards for kent a few years down the line.
Remember he's still very young and will only get better and better in my eyes, with playing first team football consistently! He's got bags of talent and will go on to become a better winger than james forest etc! In fact i would rate kent the most skilful winger in scottish football just now and that's even taking into consideration, he's been out injured for the last couple of months! Before his injury he was playing brilliantly for us and his performance on his comeback game against celtic, was truly stunning! Everyone can see how talented kent is!

03 Jan 2019 10:24:59
Read the other day 2m should do it coops. That would be a steal in my eyes for a player with Kents ability.

03 Jan 2019 10:46:02
I agree Coop. I’d push the boat out to get this lad permanently. In a few years time him and Middleton will be tearing it up on our wings!

If I was SG I’d be giving it “your never going to break in to the Liverpool team” chat.

If we could get ryan kent for £2million, that would be superb frustrated blue! That price would be an absolute steal mate!

our ed being a Liverpool fan doesn't agree with you there coop?

{Ed001's Note - actually I do. I think the lad needs to make a move for the sake of his career.}

To Yately1
Seems you were right about the Davis deal and I was wrong? and I’m astonished at the £12,000 a week talked about package, but you were right .
Also reading that a lot of clubs have contacted his agent asking to be kept in the loop with big offers but he’s said no, seems one is Leeds United.

03 Jan 2019 09:49:19
If it’s true he is willing to drop to 12 grand a week ( most of us can only dream of that sort of money per week) it shows how much he loves the club because modern day footballers are usually greedy and only care about money so well done Steve Davis.

Ulsterman, I also accept your apology as it was me you shot down originally. Nice to see some are big enough to admit they are wrong.

03 Jan 2019 12:32:43
Sorry Marco C of course it was you, once again sorry. I got my information from a Rangers site, it said he was taking a a massive pay cut but would still be with the highest paid at Ibrox, surely the highest paid isn’t £12,000?

03 Jan 2019 13:16:48
Our highest paid player will probably be like 30/ 35K a week.

03 Jan 2019 13:49:07
Going by what the press said regarding the gulf in salaries between Celtic and us, I wouldn't be surprised if that is our highest wage.

03 Jan 2019 17:38:21
No way will we be paying anybody 35k bud.

Ulsterman, my cousin has been a season ticket holder of leeds utd for around 30 years now mate. You're correct, leeds utd do want to sign steven davis also. My cousin told me that like you said, davo had turned leeds utd down, along with aston villa! He also told me both leeds utd and aston villa haven't given up hope yet, of signing steven davis from southampton. He says leeds are prepared to give steven davis a 2 year contract, with a 1 year option,
with slightly more than double the 12,000k a week rangers are offering him. Leeds utd have offered davo around 28,000k a week, according to him!
