Bougherra wants back. He still talks to Davie, he's 33. His contract is up at end of this season, personally I wouldn't want him back just for the fact I don't want old players back. What does everyone else think?

03 May 2016 23:28:10
I'd take him on trial if possible and let The hat and DW look at him.

03 May 2016 23:51:20
eezyeez, no mate i wouldn't want him back, nor do i think he w ill be back, too old mate, done us a turn before, though he should remembered for it imo.

04 May 2016 08:46:44
Aye done us a turn then threw his dummy out because he wanted to leave .

04 May 2016 10:19:14
Lets get the Bouggy rumour to Feck!

03 May 2016 20:54:12
Watching the Bayern vs Atletico game. Its very similar to a Rangers Vs Championship sides obviously on a lower scale. But if you watch carefully on Xabi Alonso's positioning he places himself between the 2 CB's when the full backs are bombing forward, That is what we have bee missing big time, Protection to the defence whilst playing attacking.

03 May 2016 20:59:11
and as i said that, Atletico score on counter, albeit he was offside but great finish.

04 May 2016 06:44:37
Perfectly timed there Allan! You are right though and I believe that is where Crooks is pegged to be. They essentially need to be a mobile, agile defender with one hell of an engine and great tactical awareness. If you look at Busquests, Alonso, Matic at Chelsea, this is precisely what I think we have bought in Crooks from what I have seen of him, and he can crack in a goal as well!

03 May 2016 20:52:57
Greg Wylde left the club so others could keep there jobs so don't tar him with same brush as ness.

03 May 2016 21:04:13
I'm not tarring anybody, never mentioned tarring! I'm talking about youth development!

03 May 2016 21:08:23
We got a fee for ness too.

03 May 2016 21:14:31
My bad, seems we never.

04 May 2016 08:48:01
We robbed Bolton for the money they paid lol.

03 May 2016 20:19:41
Wee bill, just a follow up to our discussion about the merits of Murray Park and our youth system, when you said who's playing now, I forgot about Danny Wilson, we got over a million for him, Charlie Adam sold too cheap, then their is the guys that left when we got in trouble, Greg Wylde, Jamie Ness and Reece McCabe ( what a performance against Celtic) . I remember Jimmy Sinclair telling them to stay and be legends, Andy Little and of course Charlie Telfor left for Dundee United. There are other lads like Jordon Macmillan and the laddie that plays in Scandanavia whose name I apologise escapes me, all good players, some could have still been at Rangers but all produced by Rangers youth department at Murray Park. Food for thought!

03 May 2016 20:43:29
Steven lennon? Bendikson?

03 May 2016 20:48:36
Stevie Lennon, that's the lad. Cheers Cee.

03 May 2016 22:28:58
dunbar blue - I take your argument, we have produced a lot but not may have stayed to make their name with us, I appreciate we are a business as well as a football club, I just think its sad for all the players out on loan thinking they may get a chance to step up with us, but in reality, most will probably have to move on to better themselves, sad but unfortunately true.

03 May 2016 23:18:51
Can't argue with that Wee bill, ultimately we need to produce better players so that we can get money when we sell and still be the top team, a bit like Porto for example. Good discussion though.

04 May 2016 02:30:20
Most of the kids that left when McCoist was in charge did so because they were forced out so that Ally could bring the overpaid bunch of wasters that we had to suffer for three seasons. I guess we could add Hemmings to that list as well since we acquired him when he was still quite young and I am sure that there are others as well.

With the guys that are in charge now we should be confident that they will develop a strong youth side although they will need to secure the best young players in Scotland and where possible, South of the Border where possible. The one thing that is certain is that under Warburton they will play if they are good enough and that should encourage a lot of top quality young players to come to Rangers. we just need to keep our management team for as long as possible.

04 May 2016 08:49:04
Well a lot left under Smith. McMillan left because he seen broadfoot edu little etc. All played at right back ahead of him.

03 May 2016 17:45:40
Warbs said he would look at the Scottish Championship, could be he is definitely looking at Cummings/ Vaulks.

03 May 2016 18:57:35
I would be shocked if both these players do not end up
in English championship
I have heard that the tic are looking to send scot allan
back to hibs on loan
the boy knox has been offered to west brom with livi cash
problems a fee of 100k supposedly agreed and the boy to stay
on loan at livi.

03 May 2016 19:49:05
How can you say that Celtic want to put Allan back to Hibs on loan when they haven't got a manager yet? When they eventually get one I would imagine he will assess the squad before deciding who goes where and who comes in.

03 May 2016 22:16:55
Time the boy Allan or his Agent put his foot down.

Hibs and Celtic have shafted him?

Time for him to free fall?

03 May 2016 14:16:08
Graham Dorian's supposedly on his way to ibrox . What's the thoughts if it does happen.

03 May 2016 15:05:05
Graham Dorrans would be a great addition but no mention on any web-site that he is on his way to Ibrox.

03 May 2016 16:44:10
Would fit right into our set up.

04 May 2016 02:32:15
I will be delighted if somewhat pleasantly surprised if this happens. He is a top quality player!

04 May 2016 10:24:09
Dorrans would be as good a signing as Steven Davis in my book.

03 May 2016 14:00:08
I know we haven't been firing on all cylinders lately, and EVERYONE knows we will need at least 6 good experienced players to maintain a consistent challenge next year. but I was watching the game at weekend and for me, apart from hitting the post Waghorn didn't add anything to the team. In fact I think he restricts McKay badly. For last 5 or 6 games McKay has been switching wings and that's where he got his 2 screamers against Celtic and Hibs. On Sunday he was back to patrolling the left wing and didn't venture far from it. We are turning into a 1 trick pony, which most of the Championship teams (especially Alloa and Livingston! ) have worked out.
Think we need to think BIG for next year.
Hope I'm wrong.
Onward and Upward.

03 May 2016 15:14:16
The guys first game back give him a break.

03 May 2016 20:36:10
Spot on fb was thinking the same👍🏻.

03 May 2016 13:23:24
another piece of the jigsaw in place with D Utd going down. Now two more pieces to make it a perfect season. 1) Hibs to get to the final play off only to lose to Killie on penalties and 2) winning the cup on may 21 against a mentally tired out Hibs

oh yes and a bonus would be Ashleys mob relegated, sad for the fans but no sympathy for the fat man.

03 May 2016 18:58:49
I'm with you Wee Bill that is my Wish as well.

03 May 2016 18:40:02
Oh the bitterness, really don't get this Dundee Utd thing care to explain?

03 May 2016 22:44:46
Ray man

Where have you been for the last 5 years.

Like the pack of "cards" of the most wanted men!

1) Thompson was the "Jack of Spades"

2) Pedrie of Hibs

3) Turnbull Hutton (rip) Raith rovers chairman spoke against Rangers

4) Ace of spades - lawwell of Celtic.

03 May 2016 23:13:24
Rahman: They were the most vociferous in wanting us out of the league and they had fly kicks at us, there also had been a ticket row re an abandoned match at Tannadice that they wouldn't budge over before we were moved out of the leagues.

04 May 2016 01:07:49
didn't you try to buy Goodwillie from Utd when it was clear you had no money and Utd could have been shafted if you went into administration.

03 May 2016 12:51:24
I know I've mentioned this before but with the strong rumours of us bringing in Greg Stewart (attacking right sided forward) and the fact we already have Waggy and Forrester in that area what do you guys think the future holds for MOH? Is he surplus to requirements?

03 May 2016 13:32:34
Miller cannot go on forever - another pair of legs will not go amiss particularly if other squad players are released.

03 May 2016 13:37:15
don't think he is surplus but I think he is finding it difficult to forget his roots are with Celtic. He needs time to adapt, which I think will happen but we need to give him a bit of time and space. No matter who your boyhood hero's are, it can't be easy just to change allegiance. He is a talented player, and will come good as a regular part of our first team squad.

03 May 2016 11:15:53
Very sad to see graffiti daubed outside ibrox mocking the ibrox disaster. Could u imagine that happening to a Hillsborough disaster memorial there would be outrage and rightly so.

03 May 2016 12:14:27
Disgraceful.

03 May 2016 12:27:30
Just seen this, totally sickening. there are some vile people out there that should be locked up!

03 May 2016 12:40:32
There must be cameras to catch the people that did it no class just shocking.

03 May 2016 13:03:25
I hope these people are caught and banned from Football stadiums all together. The difference between the people who done this and the Everton fans who show nothing but compassion to the Hillsborough families is staggering. No need for this at all.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't go that far, during the Derby match a large portion of Everton fans were guilty of chants about Hillsborough. There are scummy elements in every fanbase, because there are scummy elements in society. It doesn't mean that the tools who do the bad things are representative of the vast majority of any fanbase though.}

03 May 2016 13:47:24
Their fans still think they are whiter than white. We know at Rangers we have an element of bad behaviour. They on the other hand deny it. Alex Thomsons C4 blog stated " Celtic is Scotland's Millwal" . Blind ignorance.

03 May 2016 07:48:22
Well I have one phrase for that manky Dundee UTD mob

KARMA IS A BITCH!

03 May 2016 07:46:51
Baggy seems really keen on a return. I get the feeling that he has made his money from the game and our wage structure wouldn't be an obstacle. Personally I would have him back for a season or two. We could do with cover and experience. Plus the lad can play out from the back.

03 May 2016 10:47:15
Who is Baggy?

03 May 2016 11:36:26
Majid Bougherra DEEB, our ex-centre half. Big and strong and experienced. Just what we need imo.

03 May 2016 13:04:35
Bouggy would fit into this team nicely. Always looked a fit lad i'm sure he could cut it for another few years.

03 May 2016 15:46:45
THANKS DOIGER

Would have got Bouggy, but couldn't link Baggy. first day back after all!
