Yet again we wake up to the sons of struth fighting another potential owner of rangers mike ashley they slate every1 who shows an interest except Dave king who hasn't been seen or heard from in months and they threaten to boycott shops buses games why can't we just forget our offield issues for 90 mins and get behind our players and show our support like the best fans in the world that we are come on bears

DITTO GET BEHIND THE TEAM FIRST & FOREMOST . I myself can't see the prob with ashley what's he done wrong if its to do with naming rights and merchandise deals I defy anyone to tell me what buisiness on the planet would knock a deal like that back when offered .

Well said, club won't ever progress with them moaning at just about everything.

Great post. With Mike Ashley we get a renowned businessman and the correct governance. i'm sick of the fact that every time the DR wrties about Rangers they get Chris Graham to give a comment on behalf of all Rangers fans, your right he is very much a Dave King or nobody kind of guy and scaring of the like of Ashley is stupidity. Follow the team and back whoever wants to invest their honest crust to restore the good name of Rangers first and foremost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with all the previous posts - at least Mike Ashley is a proven success as a businessman with no baggage or apparent skeletons in the cupboard. Why our various supporter's groups (which in reality only represent a fraction of our total support and fan base) seem to take against anyone who's name is not Dave King is beyond me. Given the position we're in I would welcome a man like Ashley who we know has the money and the business acumen to make a success of running our club. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but he'll do more good things than bad things for the club, unlike all of our recent owners and directors - good luck to him if he's serious about mounting a takeover for the club.

NBTS spot on.Chris Graham or Craig Houston don't speak for me either.Regarding a Mike Ashley takeover if,and when possible,I would have no problem with it.At a bare minimum he will at least get us on a sound financial platform,he's not a billionaire by accident.

Hopefully something will happen and Ashley has the interests of the club at heart, it's early days but it's good to see things could be moving at last. I would be happy to have him there.

Great to see so many Bears behind any potential move by Mike Ashley, while I can understand fans scepticism after what the club has been through in recent years but let's not bite the hand that may feed we are in dire straights at the moment being knocked from pillar to post we're in need of a strong leader with a good business brain who can get us back on an even keel and a future we can look forward to without trepidation. If Mr Ashley is seriously thinking of taking custodianship of this great club why not get behind the man he may just give us what we crave (A FUTURE ).

What do the the supporters groups want they appear to be brainwashed by king they don't appear to look at any oter offers than the one he has not made shares won't get a lot cheaper than what they are ane if he wants to force admin look at how many loyal bears will lose their money at least ashley has bought some and if he he mounts a takeover at least it will be achieved by going in through the front door not by the underhand tactics king appears to using rangers were always respected for the way they carried out there buisness now sadly it is the opposite and if king suceeds it will have reached a new low

Agree0 Disagree0

I am neither pro king or pro Ashley but I will ask this question the last share offer was only open to existing share holders so that rules king out now the share offer was not fully subscribed so the club did not raise all the money they needed now why did Ashley not buy these share in the flotation then the money would have went straight into the clubs bank instead he bought from a hedge fund the money went to them I find that strange my fear is that Ashley may put money in but will want assets against it murray park even Ibrox and we land up leasing our assets back so I'm not to sure about him as for king well he has baggage yes but he has invested £30 mill before some say he got most of it back he says no

Agree0 Disagree0

Cooperman and all above my take on it is this ashley bought shares from people that wanted wallace to be a success ashley bought the people out that support wallace and nash never bought shares last week as this would have helped club [wallace and nash] now he has took hedge fund out of any votes that could have harmed easdales he doesn't want to help club as that's helping wallace if my theory is correct wallace and nash will be forced out the door easdale was brought to the table by charlieboy they are all involved together easdales charlieboy and ashley let's see if ime right or wrong lots of shares will be sold in next few weeks this is there final push for full power

Agree0 Disagree0

Cooperboy come into the real world at least ashley has shown intent with the shares he has purchased from hargreaves landsdown king could have purchased shares but chose not to do so and as far as it goes if ashley has enough shares to give him the % to own the club he will own ibr we needox murray park and all assets he would then turn rangers into a successful buisness which is a whole lot better than what we have now newcastle were in a far bigger mess financially when he took over than what rangers are now the first thing he did at newcastle was either get rid of overpaid staff or they took a paycut that's the medicine we need

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley never bought shares last week as this would have helped mr wallace and mr nash lots of shares will be bought and sold in the next few weeks mr wallace and mr nash will be ousted in the not to distent thus allowing the easdales and charlieboy and ashley to run rangers the way THEY want to run rangers fc

Cooperboy I think Ashley knows any monies going in to Rangers, from sold shares or otherwise,is just going to disappear.I think its a strong statement of mistrust in the board from him.I think the AGM when they get round to it will be very interesting.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61 he may have reduced the debt at Newcastle but they are now second bottom of the league could ever go down,, tmwtn I hope your wrong Charlie boy the easdales and Ashley running rangers God forbid and gkk, I agree the share holders meeting will be interesting I'm looking forward to it just hope it's warmer this years

Agree0 Disagree0

N13 gkk i think the opposite to you mate i think once wallace and nash are removed ashley will have rangers bang were he wants them for now i think the easdales will be on the board for a long time as that's what ashley wants ashley and the silent asset strippers

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have mentioned the easdales have the ideal candidate for big loan in ashley the long firm they are all one

Agree0 Disagree0

Cooperboy i think ashley will garentee the easdales the loan rangers need thus preventing any new shareholder getting involved why put out more shares if ashley has garenteed loan

Agree0 Disagree0

@16tmwtn I think Ashley sees a financialy sound rangers a far better earner for himself rather than stripping assets, yes he is greedy but,it can only be good for rangers IF he has long term plans.I don't like the Easdales either but, they have spent money.Interesting times ahead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk yes it will be interesting times aheadashley can't buy any shares due to the fact he owns ncu but he will be the money man and will lend money with the assets being stood against any loan ashley gives
