Souness in the daily rag stating he thinks Pedro will struggle. what's your thoughts bears?

05 Apr 2017 08:09:38
Time will tell, however I've never backed any of Souness' predictions.

05 Apr 2017 14:21:53
My early impressions are that he'll struggle too but I'll reserve any criticism until after he's had a transfer window and time to allow his team to gel. The situation at the weekend was avoidable, if players are ill or injured then they shouldn't be near the squad, simple as that. Hearing that the team had no structured formation is concerning too, this isn't league 2 where that sort of thing could wash, I think he was fortunate that we drew the game because I think he'd have got a lot of stick for doing what he did if we'd lost against Motherwell.

05 Apr 2017 15:08:48
Its only his opinion but let's judge the guy in January at least

05 Apr 2017 16:18:21
listen souness is just raging because he wanted the job lol.

naw but in all seriousness no one will be able to tell untill this point next year if he has done what's needed as we can't judge him playing about with a sqaud that's not his and let's face it this is our worst ever season in the spl.

05 Apr 2017 16:38:02
I would be amazed if Pedro makes it. In my opinion he won't get sufficient funds to start a revolution so it has to be evolution and that takes time. He had 2 youngsters in for the Killie game. Now if they have a stinker everyone is going to be on Pedros case. Next issue is if Rangers get stuffed against Aberdeen on Sunday then Celtic at Hampden then there is more pressure. He does not know Scottish football or the pressure that is coming his way unless he wins every week. Souness is correct and fans expect too much.

05 Apr 2017 17:07:04
Imo Caixinha's personality is spot on for the Rangers job, I get the feeling that the players will take to him as a leader and u can just tell that the players won't need find out what kind of reaction he would give to a player that either showed disrespect or a lack of commitment, you get the feeling that he would raise hell and put a player in his place be it in private or there and then on the training ground or dressing room AND I would hope he's the type of guy that if a player did act like that he would also be able to reconcile if the player put it right.

THIS is something that over time Warbs was found out not being able to possess which leads to players losing respect for a man! If a player does something or said something to the Manager especially in front of others Warbs it seemed avoided confrontation and would rather go about it in a way which done him NO favours. Prob got Weir to ask player not to turn up, maybe sending a wee letter about a fine or suspension! Then after X amount of time a wee meeting with others there!

This I think was the personality of Warbs which in no way is acceptable at Ibrox let alone Glasgow! It took a while for it to become apparent but its what I think! That's why I'm so happy to see a Manager that seems to have a strong personality and comes across NOT to be messed with and at the same time can develop healthy relationships with player AND give youth a chance!

So I think that side to our Manager is covered its now the way he goes about on field tactics and his eye for a player. I know most of us would like Miller to stay too BUT Caixinha may have different ideas this decision too is an important one as he must know fans feelings about this and he could play safe and keep Miller but he may gamble on another player from abroad and we all know what can happen if a new player ain't doing it at the expense of one who's tried and tested, a big decision on many levels!

05 Apr 2017 19:27:39
I think he needs to be exceptionally lucky to succeed at Rangers. I thought he got it spot on against Hamilton with the players clearly up for it and playing well however the Motherwell game was a shambles and picking injured and ill players was madness. He was lucky to get away with a draw and even when Motherwell beat us 3-1 in the playoff at Ibrox they didn't create as many chances as they did on Saturday.

Rightly or wrongly the manager is under pressure now and like a previous poster said the pressure will be greater if results do go well in the Aberdeen and 2 Celtic ones. The pressure will increase if we qualify for Europe as an early exit would raise more questions. I agree he should only be judged after the January transfer window however the reality is that he doesn't have as much time as that and the first couple of months of next season will determine how good or bad he is doing

04 Apr 2017 22:56:16
Should be a good viewing tomorrow watching Boyd and Wilson running against each other. Two of them must be the slowest pair in the SPL.

05 Apr 2017 15:09:57
THe only problem is that Boyd is good at what he's supposed to do i'm not sure i can say the same about Wilson

05 Apr 2017 16:19:32
both very slow but boyd is smart and positioning is great where as wilso ehh the word unreliable springs to mind along with a few other words

04 Apr 2017 21:30:40
Guys does anyone know who to slip the names of a few good young players I know for the Gers? I was watching a game last week with Camby Talbot against The Four Ways pub and there was two guys around 21 year old that were outstanding. Their pace was good and one of the boys scored 6 goals. We need goals might be worth sending him in for a trial?

04 Apr 2017 21:39:36
Aye right that's enough. You're at the wind up now. It's no funny anymore. Away and give yourself peace pal.

04 Apr 2017 21:48:59
Are you for real del? U can't be full whack man . your funny tho 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

04 Apr 2017 21:50:48
Stu is Blu: what's your point. People on hear keeping saying ex players and fans should be scouting for the club so I did. I was on my motorped last sunday and saw them kicking off and went over to watch it. what's up with that they were good players mate

04 Apr 2017 21:58:25
I'm sure they were. Rooney will be excited to learn from them next season πŸ˜‚

04 Apr 2017 22:00:22
Crack is bad 4 u.

04 Apr 2017 22:05:22
No need for sarcasm Stu is Blue. If your that blue you'd be out on a Sunday scouting too. The boy that scored 6 goals was good at keeping the ball up aswell. I lost count after about 30 odd I think but got it on camera. You can't deny that's pretty skilful considering I can only do 4 sometimes 5. Normally 5 if I just use my knee

04 Apr 2017 22:39:08
@del1976 - you've obviously been using a medicine ball for keepy ups, predominantly using your napper with the Tom Kite you've been posting today!

04 Apr 2017 22:43:35
union jack? what's your point man?

05 Apr 2017 07:36:48
Del next time get them to jump on the back of your scooter straight upty Murray park keep up the good work mate

05 Apr 2017 08:28:30
Come on Del! . with those scouting tips! reveal your real name! . are you actually Franky McPartland? Tell the truth

05 Apr 2017 08:37:45
@ Wee Craigy Whyte. I have a mo-ped not a scooter. Plus its in the garage so even If I did see them I would need to put them into a taxi

05 Apr 2017 08:49:50
Sand which short of a picnick u sound like another Vatican agent keep up the good work kid

05 Apr 2017 09:00:25
An agent? I am trying to help our club. What are you doing exactly?

05 Apr 2017 09:31:32
Clearly he is on the wind-up. Ignore him and he will hopefully find something more productive to do with his time.

05 Apr 2017 09:35:47
I have to agree about the keepy ups with the medicine ball. Funniest Wednesday morning I've had in a while reading this tho. U want to pair Wayne Rooney with a 21 year old from Cammy Talbot next season?

U should apply for the director of football job Del

05 Apr 2017 10:03:35
A ran yous into the ground del lol that's what

05 Apr 2017 15:11:42
Del your posts are pure class mate i mean that. i'm going to work laughing to myself n getting funny looksπŸ‘Keep up the funnies

04 Apr 2017 20:51:18
I recon Pedro is playing mind games with Killie. I don't think that's the starting line up. I recon the two young boys will be on the bench and he is playing a bit of chess with Jig!

04 Apr 2017 21:10:51
Think you should go play chess with the stuff your spouting on the other page about Rooney and buying tv stations πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

04 Apr 2017 21:33:28
what you talking about Laudrup? He doesn't officially need to end the team in till 30 mins before kick off. He is trying to baffle big Jig. I am telling ye

05 Apr 2017 16:25:29
Del, my fellow namesake, were to start.
Yes that's the team, and as for Rooney he's a massive Celtic fan, so even if we had money to pay Rooneys wages he prob wouldn't sign, del your posts are superb, keep scouting for us mate

04 Apr 2017 18:47:47
Two young boys at the back tomorrow night. Hallelujah! At last getting some young blood. More of the same till next season please, Pedro.

04 Apr 2017 19:40:40
Let's hope we can find a player from the youth team. Great move by the manager giving those 2 boys a chance

05 Apr 2017 01:46:41
Released the team sheet already?

05 Apr 2017 01:47:53
Foderingham, 24
Tavernier, 23
Wilson, 23
Halliday, 23
Holt, 24
Hyndman, 20
Toral, 22
Windass, 23
Dodoo, 21
McKay, 22

Aye, let's get some young blood into the team! Have a lie down mate.

05 Apr 2017 08:28:42
weewcky think your a few years off on some of those ages.

05 Apr 2017 08:35:03
Ecky! think you need to update your Football Manager to 2017 version pal cause

Foderingham is 26
Tav is 25
Wilson is 25
Halliday is 25

05 Apr 2017 08:43:23
Wee ecky-- your post is wrong. How can they wear the same shirt numbers mate?

05 Apr 2017 11:49:56
wee-ecky, let's assume the ages you posted weren't a load of Brad Pitt, which they were. How many of them came through our ranks and how many are good enough to progress? Pull your head out your dinner dumper!

05 Apr 2017 14:05:41
Yeh provided we win! I don't care how young or old they are just win

05 Apr 2017 15:03:25
Think that's a real problem Bears! Other than Hill Miller our squad ain't big enough! When u think about the teams under Souness Smith McLiesh Advocaat we had players at least 6-7 in squad from 26 to 29-30 players at their peak in their position I:e if we had players hitting 30 they were either in our back line OR your talking about guys playing in midfeild who were top quality players! Think about the size of some of the players we had and not just height these guys were SOLID! We've missed that the past FEW seasons seriously need to fill that team wi guys who are built up. All for a mix and I know there is a case for players all sizes BUT our CH's and a presence in midfeild is a must!

05 Apr 2017 15:05:19
Wee-ecky thought for a long time our team lacked experience and lookin at your post it screams out we need older players in there. All for having some youth in squad but they must have the skill and ability to back it up!
On that note I hope to see wee Serg Atayaki gets some game time between now and end of season as its now lookin that we have a big enough cushion between us and 4th. I know that 2nd is still on but its up to the sheep to slip up even if we win all but it shouldn't stop Caixinha bringing on someone like Atayaki in a game for final 20 mins if we have at least a 3 goal lead I know its not something we've been doing but if we do find ourselves in such a position we MUST have they lads in be squid to utilize!

04 Apr 2017 13:56:46
Wallace out for 3-4 weeks after surgery to stomach injury . SSN

04 Apr 2017 18:46:39
Have faith in Hodson for remainder!

05 Apr 2017 11:54:57
Totally agree bengy25 let's hope the young guys can put on a good show and that will open door for others.

05 Apr 2017 16:22:48
