Smith became chairman with a brief to unite the board.

Seems the exact opposite has happened. Has he failed?

Quite a few posts in here postulating him and ally are agents of McColl and P Murray. Fair enough. HK visited that possibility in SM today and asked if both had duped him in Germany.

But wouldn't that mean Smith is pro actively working against his own board? And therefore his appointed brief?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Smith sees board as nest of vipers then he right to move against them.

Smith is weak on financial experience and strong financial backing, those being approached are strong on both.

Charlotte exposures showed whyte, green and stockbridge up to armpits in frauds and scams.

Whatever happened to the whiz kid with the IQ of about 150 and who spent a wad buying shares in order to ask serious questions as to the running of the club.

Still stuck at 3 across in the Sunday mails big crossword

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha it is much higher than that. I believe that as most of the things he pointed out about the bad governance of Rangers finances are being addressed in the proposed boardroom changes ie the chap from Price Waterhouse Coopers and involvement of a well respected and proven businessman such as Jim McColl. I would suspect the instigator might well be Kieron Prior if so I am glad as EVERYTHING he said rang true and was more or less what the sensible Bears on here have been asking for a year at least. clarity accounts and financial diligence = living within our means NONE OF WHICH HAS HAPPENED SINCE GREEN TOOK OVER. yours in Gers. george

honestly, why would they sack him it would cost to much, don't think that's true for one minute

a rfc

Agree0 Disagree0

Be careful what you wish for you could get someone like Craig Levein as the next manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 is Craig levein any worse than ally? I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt it - it would cost to much
Apparently it would cost in the region of £1, 2000,000 to pay up Ally's contract & a total of £900,000 for MacDowell & Durant

Agree0 Disagree0

Number 8. No Cost. Gross Misconduct. Pack bags and leave. He sacked himself. No need for compo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Levein is a million times worse than Ally. You have evidently not had Levein manage a club you care about. Ask any any Leicester fan about what they think of Craig Levein. Media favourites for the league and he get you relegated. How does that even happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

@4. one man up front v Forfar,, that's a sackable offence alone.

Do you guys think we would have still sold 30k+ even if green had been a consultant through pre season I think we probably would

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Green called team worst ever. would a celtic ceo ever saythat? and team lost next day

green should know to keep his racist mouth shut and his size 10 boots out of his mouth, but no day 1 back as consultant and on the press about non financial stuff. and next day we loose again.

history repeating and greens history is pants

ally has real history, in ally we can trust

green only hear for the money not the glory

Agree0 Disagree0

Loyalty and progression don't seem to go hand in hand with Ally, Greig had REAL history didn't stop him being sacked. The "we don't do walking away' is blinding you!

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 2, Ally was back stabbed, that should never happen at Rangers regardless of his form or even his mind blowing salary. And your right, just when we thought we would all get a crack at starting the season on a positive note, up pops green with his sabotage antics again. That was totally calculated, and is not how you treat a Rangers manager and the team right at the start of the season or even in the public domain! green will happily take us to the wall, that's how he makes a living.

Aye Ready.

Agree0 Disagree0

Greens business history was known from day one, Ally didn't have a problem jumping into bed with him back then and I bet if that so called 25yr contract was on the table it would have been signed but that bluster was just to get you all on board and Ally was obviously happy to front that promotion!

Agree0 Disagree0

You've got to admire Green in a way, no one's buying St's last season and he gets Ally on board and sales go though the roof.

He needs a helping hand to sell shares in the IPO and he gets Walter on board - more shares sold than many expected. Anothe success.

Then just before season tickets go on sale this summer he and his consortium give Walter an even more high profile position at Ibrox and sales now stand at a very creditable 34,000.

I'm beginning to see a pattern & it doesn't reflect well on either Walter or Ally.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 I too see a pattern, remove Smith and Ally and back to admin/liquidation as no st sales next year.

go figure. More moeny those two take, all the more for next recovery. and all the less for the spivs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do they think we are stupid. Green is back as a "consultant"to promote the Rangers name and to deal with shareholders. No he is not, he is there because he's always been there, he is calling the shots. If that is his remit, shareholders and to promote Rangers then he has been back two days and has only dragged our club into the gutter again. It is none of his business to tell all that they must win the league and a cup. Nothing to do with him!

He is back because this latest attempted coup is a real threat, because at long last it appears that McColl has grown a pair. He is reported as being worth £1b. Now I am not suggesting that he blows his hard earned cash on a football club, we can see what that did to Murray. But he could have been the figurehead. He now wants Frank Blin on the board. An impeccable business record, a true money expert. These guys are real hard hitters and Green better watch out.

I will certainly be putting my vote behind the new guys.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Aug 2013 18:38:18
OP I agree with everything you say except for the suggestion that SDM "blew is hard earned cash" on us. How can you still be under that delusion?

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think Green is an person? This is what Whyte and Green do. Why do you think he rushed the share issue through. If anyone wants in they will ultimately have to buy green and his investors shares. green will be around till January then he will sell his shares to the Easdales. Why do you think the shares were overpriced when they went on offer? Because they all bought their shares at 1p while the mugs paid 72p.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well let's all get together and let it be known at the first game of the season against Brechin. Green and his cronies out of our club once and for all PB

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 I hope ally is included in your cronies.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ OP could the reason be Jim McColl, Paul Murray and Frank Blin have taken their action now is that they have had an inside look at the accounts? The Green men left on the board then seeing the threat these men of gravitas pose bring back Green as a consultant to raise funds quickly or convince shareholders that he can raise more funds to fix the troublesome figures possibly showing in the draft accounts? Mr McCoist's outburst would only have happened because he believed Walter's allies were going to succeed in the boardroom brawl. Mr Green and his friends like the bus group owners will not take this lying down and although unhappy at the spending by the manager may not want Frank Blin having full access to all figures? Yes he doesn't rate Ally and he is not alone in that but I think it is the move from shareholders that is behind the panic re surfacing of Green IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Op, that's a great post and sums up my view entirely BT

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 sdm did blow hard earned cash, just he did not earn it, the fans did

Agree0 Disagree0

@op great point mate and I for one want mccoll that's what we need one person with a majority of the shares because the we are the now with not one person holding majority of just isn't for us there's to much sh*te happening this way I think we should protest outside the stadium before and after the game and also thru out the game I honestly feel this is our second and last chance of getting rid of these money grabbing leeches

Agree0 Disagree0

3. Pity nearly all the fans who said they'd pay on a game by game basis were finally persauded to buy Season Tickets.

Imagine the strength the fans could have had warning Charles Green that we won't be giving him any more of our money while he remains at Ibrox!

Any protest now will be as effective as the Man U fans bid to force out the Glasers.

Sorry but the Gers fans themselves have blown it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 the fans weren't to know green would be back the ones who renewed are probably kickin themselves for doing so but by listening to the things we hear about this power struggle this is the fans chance to show they will not been duped again so the fans must stand together and protest before during and after the Brechin game if we don't stand then we would be better off just chucking in the towel because there won't be another chance

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 the 'bus group owners' aren't even getting the proper financial information about the club. Information is being denied. Everyone will find out for fact when the accounts are eventually published.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 18:20:02
My close friend at murray park told me this before Charles green left rangers in April and he's now told me it again now Charles green is back again, green doesn't rate our manager ally mccoist and was planning sacking him back before he left and now plans to sack him again and the manager he wants to replace mccoist is just like it was then is the ross County manager Derek Adams who green rates very highly and rates Adams a terrific coach who is very good with youths, which green sees as the ideal way to get the best out of Murray park, cheaply

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Aug 2013 18:42:15
Your friend at murray park reads the papers then, or can put two and two together like the rest of us. What a rich source of info you have there, please make sure to share any further astonishing insider insights with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist going is a must if the club is too move forward. McCoist is actually the biggest threat to Rangers very existence and has done more damage to the club than anything Green or indeed Whyte has done

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 a tape which green has not challenged is on internet with green taking to whyte about uefa and corruption

a bank transfer shows green acepting money from dodgy sources. green has not challenged this.

why is green so quiet on these issues which could make his 7% worthless. unless he already sold it and does not care

ally cares

Agree0 Disagree0

But green is following his previous history at Sheffield Utd, undermine the current manager, get in new one, then control signings and undermine the new manager, all the while making money money money

Sharks are circling, but better financial sharks who are playing green at his game, if green offered 35p per share and turned it down, what happens if shares crash thru 20p barrier.

fans can effect this, not by season tickets, too late, but by numbers.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 19:55:23
2) Derek adams working with youngsters? Then tell me why he and ross county went out and bought nine new players this season and shafted st johnston with brittin (spelling) so that's effectively 10 players brought in so how is that working with youngsters or even taking youngsters through to the first team. For me if ally goes it would have to be McCall or Butcher or better still the both of them as equal first team coaches/managers, the players wouldn't have got awy with the way they played on saturday if one or both was at rangers instead of ally, durrant and kenny Mac being there. Watp let's prove it!

Agree0 Disagree0

@op a think that might have been true in April but not now green is only a consultant so has no power. to do that and ally know that or he wouldn't have been badmouthing green in the papers

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 he can't sell his shares until December I think

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 he can't sell ipo shares till dec, but he sold them before ipo and failed to mention this in ipo, ally nail this sucker.

green has tainted history, ally is not top manager we know. so. ?

will green man up and no attack ally, the legend. bring it on. as green will never be welcome back in ibrox.

green needs to apologise to ally tomorrow or else

Agree0 Disagree0

@5.
what you need is a good manager! it does not have to be an ex rangers player, think outside the box for once.

Briggies!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2013 02:27:59
@9 the fact they used to be rangers players honestly didn't cross my mind until I read your text yeah you're right they are ex players but with out a doubt the top 2 managers in scotland you just have to look at the last 2 seasons and again this season it looks like nothing will change there apart from they will probably be in higher profile jobs, bigger clubs very soon and because of the cost to sack ally we will miss out on both of them, and no I ain't a ally hater I don't think any real fan is he is a legend and will always be a legend but look at his record since being manager NOT good enough, his record is up there with paul le Guen sorry that's a lie I think plg's is better! Sorry ally time is up now and you are to good of a man to be having to take all this stick but 4-1-4-1 against forfar has got to be the last straw!

With money at Ibrox so tight, the deals with Blackthorn and Sports Direct are weighted in those companies favour, Rangers get a small investment.
So the cups are the only quick tangible way of earning more money for the club. OK the money for winning cups are not massive, but add on say 3 home games in both League and Scottish Cups of say 50,000 at £20 a head, half share to away club, deduct expenses Rangers could have made about £2m+ of much needed money.
6 home games impossible? Well even if that did not pan out 2 semis and 2 finals at Hampden would earn about the same.
Even the Ramsden Cup will earn good money if more home ties.
So losing out at the early stages of cups is dangerous to the revenue of the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

? there's was £22m raised. how can money be tight this early.

if we can only survive with deep cup runs we dead again, need to survive on season ticket money which is rock solid, and full season of games - that's all. Then build from there.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 17:08:55
To all the fans who are saying judge ally in sept when he has his new signings.

so what your saying is last seasons 3rd division (4th tier) winners would not win the second division (3rd tier) league.

despite the fact that The Rangers for 2 years have had the second highest wage bill in scotland and yet on last years performance and team personel you think they can not win a 3rd tier league without a team of new signings.

2 years and 2 full seasons in charge and fans are still saying give him time, let's wait until he gets his new signings in. this equates to even more money, even more dull football and even more reason for others to ridicule. all's record in knock out competition and 2 leg affairs is worse than celtics european away record.

if ross county, st mirrin etc can reach a domestic final then surely a last years rangers squad could have had a decent run with a decent manager in charge

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Aug 2013 18:53:05
OP we an all agree that Ally is a cr#p manager, but I have to part company with you on the idea that last years team could reach a cup final. Dream on, that's just more of the same delusion that somehow (despite overwheming evidence to the contrary) we are still a shadow of what we once were. We're not. We're dismal. Rotten from top to bottom. And greatness is a long long long long way off. Get used to it. Thinking that team could win a cup is the biggest illusion since another Ally's Army had similar delusions of grandeur.

Green raised expectations of winning a cup this year. why! Way to early for that in a recovery that's long term.

Probably 2 folk have the power to sack McCoist
Smith, who wont
Mather, who cant
Mather can't because he needs allies
So he brings back Green
Green causes another eruption on his return
Green is brought back because of McColl and Murray
McColl was previously an ally of Smith
So they probably don't want him sacked either
So only option is McCoist resigns
McCoist can't resign
Because "he doesn't do walking away"
So he has to be sacked
Probably 2 folk have the power to sack McCoist

And so it will go on and on, Joseph Heller's brilliantly inventive mind couldn't even make this up. A total, total shambles that could go on for ever. Another nine years of it and its Catch 2022

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And he still has10 million to spend on transfers before he does do walking awa.

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is a shambles, can't believe ally is on the wages he's on and says he loves the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The sparks are staring to fly, cause this game of chicken and whose the big baddie, will all be revealed when the books are finally opened. I'm not at all surprised it affected moral yesterday, and I'm expecting the heart strings to be pulled all over the place in the coming months. It's like it's a race to admin, I just hope Mr McColl is on board by then cause right now your dead right it's a total mess! We are just a side act now that s/tickets are in.

Aye Ready

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 I've just the man on cups, and his record is shocking, he can't be judged on league form as a blind man could've won the 3rd division.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 why? Aren't you aware of his record in 8 cup competitions? That man will ruin Rangers and has cost the club a fortune. How bad does it have to get?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 14:55:03
Now don't get me wrong, yesterdays result is not one to remember.

However, for me all that matters is winning the league. The truth is I have no care for league cups if we fail on that front. Should we get a run, then brilliant.

Should Ally go? NO CHANCE! Although his excuses for yesterday are lame. There is squad there capable of beating Forfar.

Our problem right now, other than the board, is that we don't have enough players who can handle the pressure of being a Rangers player and the added pressure of being a Rangers player in the lower leagues. It will take more time to instill that understanding. The capability of delivering every time isn't there. The caliber of player isn't there and won't be for a long long time. Again, though, this team should have been good enough.

As for Green, he should keep his mouth shut at such times.

It's fans like you who are holding your club back! Why would you not want a run in the cups? It brings in much needed revenue that you so desperately need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry mate but if you can't see why McCoist isn't for the sack then you need to open your eyes. This will be McCoist 3rd season in charge pervious to his years under smith, so on paper the guy should be doing ok at least. SPL you have gave away at one stage a 18 point lead to Celtic, forgot the points deduction Celtic chipped away in must win games & McCoist crumbled. His cup runs in season 1 you can clearly put down to experience. Year 2 wins division 3 while every other team is part time, so winning that league isn't really a surprise. It's like Real Madrid playing league 2 every week. Last year another fail of a cup runs. Year 3 plays 4-1-4-1 against part timers and looses. Winning division 2 or what ever its called should be a breeze considering most if not all teams are part time & rangers have the 2nd highest wage bill behind Celtic to win in a part time league.

A new team was founded and could have chose the youth set up & build for the future, maybe not get straight promotions but at least bring through youth and sell for over 100% profit. Instead no one touches the ashes of old co a Yorkshire man comes in give a div 3 manager a 1m a year job, spents & brings in more management than half of the spl teams now the club (until the books come out & prove us all wrong, which btw if the come out in the - then share holders will jump ship) Is doomed again.

35,000 rangers fans have put up their season ticket money to find these clowns give or take best part of 10m from them.

As far as I believe McCoist is on a rolling contract on 1m a season. New players new wages senior management just getting bigger & bigger, bucks got to stop done where.

Now & only now would it be a good time to show the books as season ticket money would cover up te cracks.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Beyond belief that some people think mccoist should stay as manager, it is mind boggling.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gdog - totaly agreed best post for weeks on here. promotion (even by 2nd place) is all that's needed.

Ally needs to get that, and let everyone else improve finances so Rangers can last for next 10 years without issues

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 so we get rid of mccoist - and that costs so much money, and then what - a new manager with NO money - will we get someone for real or a joker?

need sense now - ally is loyal and will stay for the long term with little or no money.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 he's losing you fortune anyway so why not cut and run now?

Agree0 Disagree0

@6, if he is the rangers man u seem to think he is he would walk and not cost us a penny, and we most certainly get a decent manager who would not be at ally's current salary, so instead of costing cash it would save it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know if your aware but a good cup run brings in money. The club badly needs money to survive and prosper. Please read and then repeat it to yourself and make sure you understand

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 winning the FA cup has killed several clubs recently. portsmouth, etc etc

does not bring in riches. as cost of winning it greater, and can mean relegation from EPL same season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@9

Winning promotion consecutive years is the best result for us.

@Lenny
Sorry mate your way off the mark for me. Ally did not get any of the signing she wanted or was promised by Green. That's why we panick bought some of the dirty that was there. Otherwise there wasn't a squad!

You seem to think Ally is to blame for everything, when infant he won promotion in the first ask. Whilst Green and Co. were falling out with everyone and by all accounts preparing to give shares to any crook who wanted them.

Ally's outburst has clearly come at a time when there is about to be another change in control of our club. For me Ally has found out some home truths when it comes to Green that we perhaps are not privvy to.

However they were poor and illtimed for me.

Ally will get us back up to the top league. It's after that we can start to see what is best in the way of management.

A poster who seemed to have insider knowledge said club spends £650k a month more than income over a year and by jan2014 will be trading insolvently.

Surely it's already trading insolvently and using up capital share money each month to cover the excess doesn't make it solvent?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pure guess work

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 19:09:01
@1 Yep it's guesswork. But I have yet to see the calculations that guess that we're NOT leaking money like a burst colostomy bag leaks sh*t. Difficult not to guess pessimistically, unless you have head firmly stuck in sand. Or maybe you're suggesting the loyal thing to do is not to guess at all and just hope for the best instead? That gives me a horrible sense of deja vu. When you've found your trousers badly soiled before and you smell sh*t once again, only a crazy man would condescendingly brush off suspicions of another disaster as "pure guesswork".

Agree0 Disagree0

@1&2 well in December Neil patey from Ernst&young said that rangers wer losing about 750k a month so how can it be 650k a month now when we have brought in 8 new players and got rid of one so probably losing about 900k or 1 million but until we see the accounts we will never know

Agree0 Disagree0

@1, 2, & 3 the interim accounts in December last year recorded a £5 million loss this after 33,000 season tickets were purchased. This is why there is only circa £7 million out of £22million IPO. All of which makes any bear with a modicum of intelligence cringe when Super Ally talks about yet more players yet more expense. We needed a cheap young intelligent coach to build a cheap but talented young squad with high sell on value but Green had to keep a man of many words (mostly repeated several times in successive sentences) to help with season ticket sales. 4, 1, 4, 1 buy your way to success Ally truly is the reincarnation of Walter - except Walter did win more often than his pupil. Except buying success brought us disaster last time around and it seems the RTID, WATP clowns supporting Ally are determined to see us drop into the financial abyss again. We might not see the season out guys unless there has been a huge cash injection we don't know about- but Ally will soon spend it if it's there

Agree0 Disagree0

@3. You are correct in your quotation of Neil Patey last December. However the net trading loss has actually reduced by approx. £100K per month to the £650K I quoted - due to a combination of Blackthorn and Sports Direct contributions which are new income steams in the second, current financial year. The Club has also removed a couple of high earners from the payroll (Alexander and Sendaza) and although have bought a number of new player additions these have been brought in at a lesser wage. For example, the two mentioned ex-players were earning £21K per week whereas Bell and Daly are on a combined £13K. that alone is a reduction in costs of approx. £100K per annum.

During July the Club (unfairly) cleared out an entire line of middle management who were all earning annual salaries of approx. £45K to £65K each. all of these "redundancies" were hushed up but for clues to some of the casualties look at this season's first home match programme and see a very prominent (and loyal) figure missing from the match-day programme for the first time in at least 10 years! All of these factors have reduced the monthly cash flow by approx. another £100K p. a.

So trading deficits had been improved by around 12%. modest but a sign of progress. therefore I am astounded by the decision to bring Charlie back in a 'paid-consultancy role" as that will only undo part of gain from the recent cost cutting measures!

The first day after liquidation was announced green should have stated what he already said, the history of the club has gone and we are starting afresh as a new Rangers. Even Walter wished him well with the 'new'club. He then should have outlined the facts. No credit line means living within the income streams. Ally should have been given the chance to leave if he felt he could not coach young players, with a few older experienced heads, to compete in the third division. This would have meant a few barren years and maybe not returning to the top league for 5-7 years while young players grew up and finance was strong. Last year every team who played Rangers had someone who stood out, these should have been cherry picked to strengthen the team. The wage bill would have been lower and a fit, young squad would have emerged through time. Instead the myth that this was the club who gave your top European teams a game was still playing. It is not. Ally needs to take the blame for this. He signed Shiels and Black on big wages and they have done nothing. He tried, in administration to sign Cousin on £8k per week FFS! True Rangers fans would have accepted the situation and followed the club, there is no doubt of that. Instead Green changed his story to the bought the history nonsense and seen the money rolling in. Ally backed him, as he had backed Whyte. A big question is Ally's shares. Did he buy them or did Green give them to him? The reason this is an issue is Ally did not back Green till he had those shares. Is Ally in the 1p per share club? One last point on Ally. If he really puts Rangers first why did he not sign Boyd? This guy would score fifty goals a season in the first division, but he fell out with Ally so that was that. Is that putting Rangers first?

Rubbish the history of club is still there bottom line is the young players r not good enough the team that gets back in the premiership will have to b full of internationals to get back in champions league and win old firm games won't b long now loyal ranger

Agree0 Disagree0

Also Boyd never started old firm games because he wasn't deemed good enough could score against the rest but not celtic overweight and lazy and miller didn't want to come back to play 2nd division football we r where we r I accept that but the kids r rubbish and have no skill Ross perry is rotten thank god he's out injured

Agree0 Disagree0

@op mate a don't give a toss what green said rangers history is unbroken newco stands for new company not new club and until somebody can show this is wrong or until uefa or FIFA come out and say different then rangers are 140 years old

Agree0 Disagree0

From a total football perspective I just don't get the debate about McCoist. Rangers legend yes. manager never. speaking from the opposition camp I will be absolutely devastated on the occasion of his demise. debate over.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ To you maybe but your attitude will never change anything. Start saving for the next IPO because it will come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Green bought in lost £20m in player via TUPE (so he screwed WHYTE, then players screwed GREEN - tought world). and he was shocked.

and then offers appears to invest in rangers (£2-£6m) from dodgy money lenders and all looked rosy, Green then rushed IPO and hit his gold mine (£22m. !)

Green back to continue to hide accounts, and close the subs before they due to announce accounts, so all subsiduary startup costs lost in the mists of time. no wonder £12m is reported as gone for the IPO.

What I don't get, why is ally ripping Into green now? Is it because he threatened his job? So ally obviously knew he's dodgy, but only pips up when his futures in jeopardy? Something not right.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Something isn't right and I am very concerned about Ally McCoist as a Manager. He hasn't got it. It's so out of his depth it's unreal. He will always be a legend to me as a player but as a manager he is clueless.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on abomb totally agree with u!but I also agree with ally's points on green funny he appears back when tickets are sold the? Is was he really away in the first place the whole thing stinks!i got called not a real fan on here for not renewing my season book which I don't think is right but that's the way it goes I just smell a rat in our club and don't know what these rats r doing with our cash worrying times in board and in our coaching when our manager can't get a team to beat Forfar its disgusting

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is ripping into Green because of his stupid comments. The comment that they must win league and a cup is stupid in the extreme. You know like the racist comments, like the numerous stupid comments made by Green.

He is a so called consultant to del with shareholders, the hiring and firing of the manager has got bugget all to do with him.

The sooner that Green, Stockbridge and any of his cohorts are gone the better.

I hope McColl, Blin etc get the votes required and get these jokers out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Green only disappeared due to the racism controversy, he was always pulling the strings, everyone knew he, d be back,

Ska bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Its clear to me that Ally no knows a lot more about Green than we do, and that there is some serious sh!t going on in the background hence the reason Smith didn't want him back and now McColl is making his move.

The situation is sad for me, because the truth is I don't know who has the best interest at heart for our glorious club.

McColl farted about before if he wanted us he should have done it before Green! Murray is one of the original clowns who sp*nked away our money before!

In truth it's all a sorry mess.

Ally isn't the best. But he will get us back to the top. He has handled himself well when we all needed him. What he has had to deal with and continues to deal with is tougher than any of us realise. Leave him get on with and support the team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The guy ain't up to the job mate its been clear to see he's had his chance wi always be a hero of mine for his playing days but end of the day he's a football pundit not a manager it hurts me to say that but its how I feel he just ain't cut out for the job we need a change

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, show some faith. It's not like he's not even good enough to get up to the premiership and like so many people keep saying ally is a legend, so show him some loyalty (or atleast give him time to use his full squad before calling for his head).

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have played Mitchell at right back and Gasparotto at centre back from the beginning. McCoist went for more experience and his call, he's the manager. I keep reading on this site, Big Jig this, Big Jig that, as if he can do no wrong in the eyes of the fans. He's 35 and past his best and loyalty doesn't merit a place in the team or the arm band. Time to hand the captaincy to Wallace and McCullouch can battle it out for a place on the bench.

The central defending was awful and the goals conceded, criminal. Our striker missing on two occasions from three yards out didn't help the cause but what's the point of complaining? This site is just a means of letting off steam. Derek Johnstone played against England at centre half when he was 19. Would McCoist have had him on the bench yesterday as too young? Bear in mind that Ally was banging them in for St Johnstone when he himself was 16. Just another dreadful low for us all yesterday when things were looking up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree about lee mcculloch he was never a 2 million player even at the start but to still be some sort of talisman now is a joke another davie weir.

He frustrates me, however his loyalty should never come under question

@1 Can't believe you would compare McCulloch to Weir.
Whilst I'm appreciative to McCulloch for his loyalty in trying times where else was he going to go?
I'm sure McCulloch himself would appreciate the comparison but for me Davie Weir is a gentleman and a model professional who is respected within the football community. I've no doubt Weir would have us sorted at the back even now. McCulloch is no more than a half decent, fit, utility man who is now past his best. To compare Weir to someone who showed convenient loyalty and kissed the badge a few times is a bit insulting in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 davie weir was excellent for rangers so I don't get your stupid point

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How would Ally, do managing a smaller team, after the way he has managed rangers, he would be out of a job, at the earliest opportunity, I don't think he has improved the playing side of the game, and to say green was to blame is ludicrous, ally picks the team, so the blame lies at his door, sorry bears, he is not a manager, it's okay managing a million pound team, but when you don't have that, then you will be found out as ally has been,,

Other managers get better results with less resource. So excuses McCoist doesn't have facilities or budget or pre season is illogical and doesn't stack up.
What budget does the Forfar manager have? What facilities? What training and club backup staff? What advisors? What size of support? 50,000 fans?

There are no excuses, none.

Green is not an excuse and did not effect performance at all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One of the strikers templeman is a primary school janitor and lolly pop man when school finishes!truly embarrassing! Ally out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is a playing legend but sadly, like so many, can't do the same as manager. We could look at the signings unable to play but this was not unexpected and the manager should have been planning his tactics accordingly. He does not even have the 'last minute preparations' excuse he had last season. Greens return gives Ally the perfect reason for walking now - undermining the team which has to be unacceptable. Go with dignity now Ally

Super duper should be sacked for 1) his managerial incompetence and 2) going public with abusive language to the clubs largest single shareholder and guy who saved the club with his friends and their money.

Green is coming back because he doesn't want his good work undone and he cares and unlike super he's actually effective in his job.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

@op are you for real green cares green couldn't give a sh*t about rangers and anybody who believes you they need to take their blue tinted glasses green is only back because of the requisition issued to the board to get rid of mathers, Stockbridge and smart mathers has shown he has backbone he would never have rehired green and it's fans like yourself if you even are one that's kept rangers from getting rid of these money grabbers and also green gas shown he doesn't care who does over to get what he wants also a question to other fans would you's have still bought your season tickets if green was still there

Agree0 Disagree0

What? green was and still is a complete embarrassment, he is money orientated, he won't be coming in for nothing, which means another huge amount of cash going into his already well lined pocket, he has split Rangers commodities into 5 or 6 satellite companies and draws salaries from each of them, so please explain to me exactly how does this qualify him as having Rangers interest at heart.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you mad? green is back because their is a power struggle at Ibrox and that will push the share price down further. as soon as green can sell his shares he will. The last thing he wants is an EGM

We need directors NOT investors and we certainly don't need anymore unqualified inexperienced ex "legends" bleeding us dry. We should protest to get rid of McCoist for obvious reasons, but this may also serve as a warning that we will not accept this incompetence any longer. mccoist and green like a couple of girls instead of pulling the same direction.
if the club are not going in same direction the team can't either.
the thing that bothered me most about ally statement was he got 8 players in the stand who can't get used,
why on earth are 8 wages getting to people we can't even use for a month, that has to be a drain on finances.
as I posted before, we should of got in players just capable of winning the title, instead of we are larger than life and win one of the cups putting stupid pressure on everybody.

I would urge fellow bears to take a step back, breath and think for a minute. Try and look at Ally McCoist and Walter Smith with a little bit of reality, as humans and as Rangers supporters. Can you imagine if you or I were in their position? We'd no doubt have let our emotions get the better of us and lost it by now achieving nothing but the sack and being left with no ability to influence the goings on in Ibrox.
John Brown anyone?
You see, like John and us Ally and Walter are Rangers supporters. They are steeped in the history of our club, they have brought glory to our club and they love our club as it is their club too. Granted they have made mistakes but who doesn't? There is no way these men and Durrant have suddenly become the heartless, selfish thieves they are being made out to be by some on here. In my opinion they have done what needed to be done to retain their position so far, although Ally may have finally cracked yesterday. People need to realize that in the nest of vipers that is Ibrox just now they have had to be very careful to retain influence. So Ally has backed a few chairmen, so what? What else could he do? If we are going to get our club back it will be because of men like Ally and Walter being prepared to blow a bit of smoke up the ar53 of the charlatans to keep them onside. Walter and Ally may have just bought us the time we need for others to do their work. Granted Allys coaching has left a lot to be desired but his love for our club I have no doubt. There are a few who will have to eat humble pie and should be ashamed of themselves for the accusations leveled at Walter and Ally.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Smith and McCoist are undercover secret agents now. Ffs I've heard it all. Just when it can't get more embarrassing and ridiculous, it does.
Those two are there to sell season tickets only. Which they do. Others would be better chairmen and managers. McCoist is arguably the worst manager in clubs history with second best resources in Scotland. What resources does the Forfar manager have? Give that guy the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Baybear it's time to wake up and smell the coffee, the only reason Ally's there is the money he is being paid, would you walk away from that kind of cash, don't think so, put your brain in gear man and face the fact's, the only people who have Rangers at heart are the supporter's get off your ar$e$ before it's too late
Tam

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post Baybear. Reality check for some. Smith has openly admitted he is not a businessman but he is trying to do what is best for Rangers. Let's not forget he walked out of a fairly successful Scotland squad set-up to sort out the mess before. (I follow the 'Tic but can see what some blinkered supporters don't want to) true, Ally is not the man for the job but has been both a good guy and target for the fans who were wondering if there would be a club last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 deary me mate, who said anything about 'secret agents'
I'm merely pointing out that unlike you and me they are still in a position to know more about what is going on.
I'm not disputing your assessment of his management skills. I think we can all agree that he is poor but quite frankly there is nobody else who would want to be anywhere near our club at the moment.
This situation is like your family turning on you when you need them the most and I think there are others we need to focus on ousting before Walter and Ally. I'd take winning f8*k all this season if I knew we had rid ourselves of the 5cum that are tearing us apart and have no connection to our club. We've got bigger fish to fry than Ally and his 5hite tactics.

The bad news?

I know it's not the Rangers way to sack managers, we all know Ally can't ever walk away due to previous comments. So what we have to just accept this situation, I know fans are fickle and one bad result and we let emotions run, but on this and many other occasions ally has shown his inept tactics. I wish to put myself forward for the millionaire maker position as rangers manager. I would have gone with Wallace, gasparotto, jig, macausland Crawford black McLeod McKay little temps, 4-3-3 and pushed Forfar back early put them under pressure that they are not used to, used our superior fitness to move them around and tell Little if he misses he is subbed. Plan B, heggarty on for McKay put jig up top with little and have temps just behind to hit shots for jigs knock downs. I would tell Black he isn't hitting any free kicks or corners, tell jig that knocking the ball left and hitting a shot into the wall was last years way. We are going for class, so anyone in training who can hit a freekick will be the man, my guess McKay or temps.

Charles Green is a bit eccentric, I think we can all agree on that. Like it or not there is a distinct possibility that he is back for good. He is what you would call a character, something that we need in football as we were constantly told with regards to Gazza and George Best etc. Off the wall and a laugh. As long as he is not at your club.

One thing that he did say that I thought was interesting was the one about the club playing the same entertaining football system from the under 10's all the way up to the first team. If you take out the bit about Cruijff, Rijkaard and whoever else this is in fact a great idea and something we should be seriously considering. It is in this area i. e. player development that I believe the club should be investing heavily.

I know that a club like Rangers MUST win and there is no viable alternative, especially in the lower leagues, but there is an apparent short sightedness at the club at the moment.

I feel all that I am doing at the moment is having a go at Ally McCoist. But when he whinges that his players minds were not on the game because of Charles Green's comments and the subsequent loss of their jobs then is there any reason not to have a go at him.

He is beginning to sound pathetic. Every time he opens his mouth at the moment it is McCoist who is the embarrassment. The players have every right to worry about their jobs. After a result like that if I was a player I'd be worried.

Maybe a self imposed media ban is what McCoist needs, he is under pressure; of that there is no doubt. When you are under pressure you say things that you may later regret. Take time out and stay out of the public eye for a while.

Or even better, leave and give the job to someone else.

Now let's put aside the awful result yesterday which quite frankly is an embarrassment. Think of the financial strain McCoist Is putting on the club with these early cup exits. Loss of ticket revenue in the later rounds of these competitions does no favours for the club. This isn't the fist time we've gone out in the early stages either. For a club with the second highest wage bill in Scottish football these results are an absolute joke. I feel like we as fans are in an impossible postion, McCoist the legend, arguably one of the greatest ever rangers. As a manager, absolutley clueless. He's stood by the club through thick and thin the past few year but for the good of the club surely he must go. Give him a chance they'll say, he can't buy anyone he really wants they'll say, he couldn't play any the new players they'll say. I for one am sick of these embarrassing results and the embarrassing style of play we are putting out. Ally I love you but you are not helping the club please take it on the chin and leave.

-----Sorry in advance for the long post Ed-----

I said after the first Berwick game away last season that I wouldn't go back to away games until things improve and I didn't until the new season started. So, I was at the game yesterday and I have to say it was one of the worst games I have ever been to. Forget the trialists not being able to play, forget the artificial surface, forget the Charles Green factor, forget all of those pathetic excuses. That performance yesterday was a disgrace to Rangers Football Club. There were a few things that really stood out for me though.

1) Ally McCoist hasn't got a clue. That's the long and short of it. I've known it for some time, but yesterday was yet more confirmation. I was interested to see his reaction when we went 1-0 down, and he stood there with his arms folded and didn't move a muscle. He eventually turned to his two yes men, Durrant and McDowall, who surprisingly were equally as clueless as to how to motivate the team to improve. Every time McCoist opens his mouth after a defeat I dislike him a wee bit more. It's been the same lame excuses for nearly a year now. He simply does not have it and needs to go before he ruins his legacy even more.

2) Some of those players are simply terrible, terrible footballers. Chirs Hegarty, Sebastien Faure, Ian Black, Robbie Crawford, Andy Mitchell and Andy Little. None of them would get a game for my Saturday amatuer team if we were a man short. Absolute imposters who can't even do the simple things like control a ball, play a five yard pass and move into space to try and make things happen. Embarrassing.

3) Our youngsters will never, ever be good players. They are earning four figure sums at 18-19 years of age and I have no idea why. McKay and Aird were warming up right in front of me and there were fans round about me singing their names and begging Ally to bring them on because they're so great and would instantly change the game. I actually heard one guy compare McKay to Davie Cooper! What is going on? Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge can see these guys are absolute dumplings who are only playing because of the position we are in and even then they can't stand out against part-time opposition. Please stop saying these kids are remotely good, because they're not and anyone saying otherwise is embarrassing themselves. MacLeod is decent, but again nothing special and probably won't be around long after we are back in the SPL.

4) The few players we have who are any good, namely Wallace and Templeton who played yesterday, are being consistently dragged down to the awful "standards" of their teammates. Templeton is the only one who goes looking for the ball to at least try and make things happen, but he has to do too much due to the shortcomings of his teammates who don't understand the concept of moving in to space and inevitably loses possession. Wallace nine times out of ten is our best player, but it's obvious he is disheartened at times with what's going on around him. I can't help but think his talents are wasted here.

5) Our supporters, for the most part, are fantastic and deserve so much better. We sang from half an hour before kick off until the 120th minute. Although, the "Union Bears" and "Blue Order" are mindless little boys who haven't a scooby about football. They go for the drink and to shout sectarian obscenities. I told the guy in front of me twice to shut his mouth when he was singing the Billy Boys. These guys claim to be the voice of Rangers, but they are dragging the club down with the drug and drink fuelled rants at games. They are in the minority though, it has to be said. Another thing though, while people hang on to this tag of being so loyal etc and always turning out in huge numbers, things will not improve. Blind loyalty will get us nowhere.

6) Everyone is bleating on about how much we need our new players and how everything will be alright after September 1st. Please stop. We have not signed Messi, Ronaldo etc. We have signed some good players, better than what we have certainly. However, if you think that come September everything will be rosey again and we will suddenly be entertained and enjoy going to games, I suggest you think again, because that is not going to happen.

I left the house at 1130 yesterday to head up to the game and got home at 1930. I was actually sat last night talking to my Dad about the game and thinking about how many other ways I could have spent my day other than going to watch the team I love. That sums it up for me. I have never felt that way before and it's actually really sad. The football is so bad that I don't want to go and watch Rangers. I hear people saying it's glory hunting if you don't go for those reasons, but the fact is, it's called sense. I am a Rangers man through and through, but I am also a football fan and I want/expect to be entertained and get value for my money. If people want to keep going simply to keep up this facade that they are fantastic supporters, despite moaning for 90 minutes about how bad it is and continue with their blind loyalty, then fair play to them.

I can't remember the last time I came away from a game thinking we had played really well. I'm sick of it and I won't be doing it anymore, it's a waste of my time and money.

WE DESERVE BETTER.

GRD

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fair post, no-one could argue with anything that you said.

I remember the last time I came in from a game feeling like that. Early 80's John Greig was the manager. John Greig, Rangers icon, hero to tens of thousands, Legend. Over the course a couple of seasons he became the laughing stock of Scottish football to the point that even his legendary status could not deflect the flak focused on him. The similarities are astounding. Sound familiar Ally?

Agree0 Disagree0

It truly is a sad state of affairs GRD and nothing you have said is anything other than the truth.
Really honest post and although things seem hopeless right now the future looks much brighter knowing there are supporters like you willing to tell the truth.
It is a sh1tey state of affairs and no amount of mindless chanting will make it any better.
It's about time we got together and told the club what we really think about the future of our club.

Deecee not only that, but When Whyte came in, Ally said "he could work with him" Again when along came Green "a great guy" maybe because at that time Green was promising 25 year contracts. Ally on Mather "I could go for a pint with him"
Ally is for Ally, NOT for the club or the supporters, he is pocketing £1m plus bonuses (although these might be less this year) Also what coaching ability does Durrant have?

Agree0 Disagree0

NO1, didn't the fans think whyte was the man and green was the saviour and he through ludicrous statements brought shame and a lack of dignity to ourclub so hindsight is a great thing after the event is it not BT

What's your thoughts on the game ally?

I don't like Charles green.

Why did you get beat today ally?

It's Charles greens fault.

Will you ever win any cup matches in your managerial career ally?

Eh, I hate Charles green.

Ally, enough is enough. Your not even good enough to be coaching the under 12s never mind the first team. No excuses, stop deflecting and just go. Please on behalf of anyone who is a rangers fan with half a brain, please do walking away!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Your last paragraph sums up your ridiculous rant, any rangers fan with half a brain? get a grip, as for charles green I agree with allys comments that man was brought back the day after a egm was requested and I would like frank blin to be appointed as his remit is going to be to go through all finances at rangers with a fine tooth comb and then finally we will get the answers and more importantly the truth we are all due and entitled to, pardon me for the rant. BT

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't walk and there is no money to pay him and his team off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must look after that salary and bonus.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally said, "The worst Team in history, the worst CEO in history, that's bad luck". what about the WORST MANAGER IN OUR HISTORY ALLY?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read on rangers website. Ally not blaming green, but the conditions. Certainly not his fault, but he is confident rangers will improve. I'm taking it that this is when he's gone.

Blueice

Agree0 Disagree0

Last season he blamed the players, lack of friendlies, acclimatising to the new league and just about anyone or anything except facing the blatant facts, McCoist is a total liability to Rangers and will never walk, its up to us to force him out, and I for one cannot wait to see that smug smile wiped off his face, when he is labelled the worst manager in our history and kicked out of Ibrox like the disloyal self serving charlatan that he really is.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 after yesterday's first round exit in a cup competition that could have earned more money for the club those of us who have not witnessed anything in Ally McCoist suggesting management ability are entitled to rant.
I agree Frank Blin with his background should be able to forensically dissect the accounts and see where exactly we are off the field. But on it we are out of yet another cup.
You do not need to forensically analyse Ally as a manager the performances and results tell you- nil points. And I don't apologise for the rant I pay for a season ticket every year not for McCoist, Smith, Green Mather Ahmed or any of these characters but because Rangers are my team. It is a curse and a disease I inherited from my Granfather, Father and uncles but I wouldn't have it any other way. Just whoever is in charge give us a team and a manager to bring us some success please

Agree0 Disagree0

BT, your are proving my point and listening to super ally again! We just got dumped out of another cup, this time by Forfar and you are saying that super ally is right! I apologise for using the term half a brain when you clearly have no brain! Wake up stop eating everything ally feeds you. I'm taking about football, not finances or boardroom trouble. Football, and ally is not the man. We get beat and it's Charles greens fault? Grow up.

Agree0 Disagree0

No8, if you want to read my post again I at no point blame green for yesterdays result or performances and I would like to think a fair minded fan would concede that all 8 signings will walk into that team and enhance it so the te to oust mccoist and co is when he can't get all of them playing proper football and if he can't I will be first to say goodbye and green is back to protect his money and all I wish for is real rangers people to take over club and let us progress forward, wishful thinking? Sadly probably. BT

Dear Fellow Bears

I am a HUGE supporter of Walter Smith. I get angered by many of the posters on here who constantly criticise WS for not telling fans what's going on and/or claim he's only interested in the money etc, etc. Why can't these people see the BIGGER picture.

Right now WS is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't in his role of Chairman. It's an unenviable position to be in and takes a very strong willed individual to take on such a role against the backdrop of what is still clearly a divided management team and business.

WE fans need WS to remain in position. NOT resign. as it gives McColl and whoever else in the latest Blue Knights incarnation their "inside man". as well as us fans.

I've read on here posts from fans saying how WS could /should leak information via his media contacts to prove he cares etc. Sure WS has a certain influence within the Scottish Press Corp but he now holds a position where he cannot risk such actions. He now holds corporate responsibilities and liabilities as Chairman and must adhere to a set of rules as outlined by the Stock Exchange. If he was to breach these undertakings, it could lead to criminal proceedings against him. For example. (and hypothetical of course)

The Daily Record run an "exclusive" story claiming only £5M remains of the £23M floatation and after all season ticket money has been amortised across the year there still remains a cash flow shortfall of approx. £650K per month. There is serious risk the company will be trading insolvently by Jan / Feb 2014 and thus risks re-entering a second Administration.

Now let's just agree for the sake of argument this was real (and perhaps it is). and the media get hold of the story with some well supported facts. once that's in the public domain, the share price will tumble. That is great for a Jim McColl or suchlike to come charging in and snap up the club for a song. but if it was ever discovered the story was leaked by someone on the inside, that person could become the subject of an investigation by the SFO (Serious Fraud Office).

So Bears, please trust Walter. He DOES care and he DOES have the club's best interests at heart.

My opinion. my guess. is if McColl's EGM fails to materialise and/or fails to get the required backing to remove the targeted Directors, WS will resign. We will know that outcome by the end of this month. If the worst happened and WS does resign, let that tell you we are in very grave danger of going to the wall (again)!

SPM

P. S.
And regards WS's salary, I think you will find non-exec officers of company's tend to receive a standard fixed salary which would range between £30K to £60K per annum. which is absolutely nothing compared to the ridiculous salaries (excluding bonuses) being taken by McCoist, Mather, Stockbridge and Traynor. These 4 alone account for £1. 6M per annum!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

UUmm if you have the potential story I bet the MSM have it. they jus need the b***s to print it.
Good luck with the return of Charlie Chuckles

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you Ally. and we do trust the cardigan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your loyalty to Walter is admirable but misguided. Your points about staying inside the tent are valid but you miss one point. Walter could easily leak information through a third party, something I believe he has done already, to inform fans of the situation at Ibrox. The shares are important but this seasons uptake of season tickets were the key. If the company burn rate is as bad as the mid season report suggested these were needed badly. Then there was the Malcolm Murray situation. After the disgraceful leaking of him to a tabloid the gloves should have been off. Walter should have backed him and threatened to walk. this would have let all fans know that something was very wrong in Ibrox. As for the latest 'Blue Knights'? why would they be willing to pay as much as five times the amount they could have got the club for ahead of Green? The whole club is a shambles in a business sense and Walter should get out quick as he will be dragged into the mess further should he stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

£60k out of a club who are financially insecure is still a lot of money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post and agree with almost all of it. I think also on balance although a lot of bears will question Paul Murray's track record - wrongly in my opinion there will be a majority wanting Jim McColl, Frank Blin and Paul Murray to succeed. Our problem with that is we will then have a playing legend as our manager who is in an even stronger position with the boardroom whereas even his strongest supporters in the fans are beginning to question his ability to manage. Being old enough to remember John Greig's unfortunate 5 years as manager I hope we will not have to suffer a similar period with Ally. John is a legend Ally is a legend but both are legends as players- management is something else.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 11:42:37
So Walter can't leak information to the press but he can pass on sensitive information to his pals from a rival consortium and act as their 'inside man'?

I don't think you know as much about corporate governance as you'd like us all to believe, mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

@op see if Walter and ally wer rangers men they would tell the fans wtf is going on but their silence is deafening and to make matters worse they are getting their share of the money and also if they really wer rangers men like the fans the real rangers men they would come out and tell everything regardless of the consequences just look at the green situation he leaves in may and the fans think all is ok because of ally and Walter then so buy 34 thousand season tickets and then two months later greedy green returns I honestly wish it was another club because I would kill myself laughing at this situation we find ourselves in

Do u think we were a bit quickn in getting rid of kane hemmings. I for one admit I thought the boy looked like a headless chicken when I seen him. But the bog scored goals at cowdenbeath on loan last season. he's now joined them permanently and scored a hat trick today I just wonder if rangers missed a trick with the boy. Maybe we played him out of position or is it simply he isn't good emough

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We played him as a lone striker which he can't do. Give him a partner to work with and he would have done a job for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

The formation Ally plays/played did not suit him. He needs a partner. Strange he scored goals for all his time but never in the first team?

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist must have felt he wasn't good enough but then he judged Kyle Mcausland not good enough to start yesterday after being a stick out in all preseason games. The evidence of his goals last season in Division 1 and again yesterday would suggest another poor decision by McCoist. Good management is about taking good decisions McCoist does not make good decisions. Move on please

Dear Fellow Bears

One must admire McCoist's modesty when ripping into Charlie in a sad, blatant, embarrassment of an attempt to deflect attention from the serious shortcomings of his own performance as Manager of our club.

To say it has to be. "unfortunate to be the worst Rangers team in history at the same time as having the worst Chief Executive (dig at CG) in history". was pathetic!

Now I am not a huge fan of Charlie but putting all his showmanship and playing to the media stunts to the side, as a CEO he DID perform. He raised the initial investment to buy the club's assets. He (along with Malcolm Murray) raised £22M and a successful share flotation on AIM after only 6 months. amongst other achievements. As a CEO and based on his "job remit" I has to be acknowledged Charlie DELIVERED.

So for McCoist to refer to CG as the club's worst ever CEO is quite remarkable. Not only does McCoist clearly fail to recognise his own, many shortcomings as a Manager but he has also just publicly slaughtered the club's single largest shareholder!

Regardless of my own feelings and contempt for CG, McCoist has well and truly overstepped the mark this time. If his performances and constant failings in cup tournaments don't get him sacked, this stupid statement to the press may just get him it!

It puts Craig Mather in a very difficult situation and the attention shoud now turn to see what - if any - action Mather takes to discipline McCoist for this outburst!

Charlie Green must be the worst CEO in Rangers' history.

Claiming he wanted to put Ally on a 25 year contract being proof of his stupidity.

Seriously welcome back Charlie. Please sort this mess out, you're prob the only guy capable of making the big decisions. Like sacking Ally.

Is Charles green not the only ceo in rangers history? :-)

The whole club is a f-@rse and should be closed put all the board and sally out on the street the support should turn their backs on this shambolic rencarnation of a oncr huge institution form a club of their own they can follow and br proud of because what green and hus coherts have botched together from the remains of rangers is only there to serve the money hungry spivs and to hell with the fans the best bit of propaganda spouted was by sally the don't do walking away nonsense was engineered to make sure thr loyal support continued to turn up and empty it's pockets in some sort of proud defiant stance we'll good luck because this rangers will never amount to anything because there will never be two directors pulling in the same direction and none have the supporters intrests at heart

Quite a few people need to get a grip

Fair enough Ally has to take some responsibility as the boss but what exactly would anyone else have done, he started out with the strongest team available to him, used his only striker up front and at half time moved Templeton up top to see if that would make an impact

With the amount of posts on here berating Ally for signing all these unnecessary players and not giving the youngsters a chance I think it's bang out of order that instead of realising the youngsters just ain't good enough there are more posts berating Ally

The quicker we get those unnecessary signings into the team the better and while we're at it get another couple signed up

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Erm, 1 up front against the mighty Forfar is as disgrace and ally should be chased all the way down edminston drive,
totally sick of this,
he is the WORST manager ever and is totally hopeless, get rid. NOW

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense, his one up front is a complete joke [not to mention an absolute pain to watch]. we are not playing against the cream of europe and the players we have should be winning in a canter. never belived I would get to this, but yesterday was my last game until Ally replaced.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist's ineptitude as a manager cannot be deflected by trying to blame CG.

Once again Rangers have been deprived of vital revenue that would've come from a good cup run by poor tactics and a blatant failure of McCoist and his staff to see that playing with one man up front against Forfar was a poor choice.

Whether it be CG or others, the fact remains that this guy cannot manage a raffle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think that they will be signed?

Agree0 Disagree0

We have just lost to FORFAR! Not Real Madrid. It shocks me how some Rangers fans still try and defend the incompetence of the manager. When will people realise the guy is clueless and needs to go. That's now 8 embarrassing cup defeats! How many more will it take!

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen mate he's not a manager never will be if u think he is then u know nothing about football end of get your head out ally's erse the signings where made for the future and a good cup run and that person couldn't keep us in the cup till after September its embarrasing if u reckon the guys out there yesterday ain't good enough to beat Forfar then your off yer nut the 11 yesterday should have wiped the floor wae Forfar
