McKay will be a massive success. He was a player in amongst journeyman when he was with us. That can do terrible things to a player's confidence and consistency; and affect even those with a great attitude/ appetite for the game - the area in which, I suspect, BMcK needs most managing. I watched Davie Cooper suffer in the same way in the early eighties.

Those of you who are on here saying he is rubbish, I understand why, but have to totally disagree; to me, it shows you are looking at football in a completely one dimensional way, and failing to understand the dynamics of what is, after all, a team game. No one player can make a team. It is an outrage that we sold him and something that will always irk me. He was sold by a man who brought in Dalcio, Cardoso etc. Enough said.

Seeker, mckay was shocking for us why can't you understand that. Some players just can't handle playing for us. Just because he plays well now and again for another team does not mean that he would have developed into a top player at us. Its no that hard to get your head round. Will never be good enough for us👍.

Duffy, great post and thank you for the Davie Cooper reference. When we mention Cooper it doesn't mean we are comparing the two. We are simply pointing out that wingers can't perform in every game. I'm old enough to remember fans round about me giving Davie absolute pelters when he was having a poor game. What chance does anybody have when fans criticise a legend so badly? And Pedro? coldo I rate Makay highly and I know i'm not the only one, he will be a regular for Scotland and a stand out in the EPL. He was neither " dreadful" or "shocking" for us!

Just watched the manager interview there and right away a major improvement. He is going to freshen team up for Sunday. How long have we been watching the same players every week get a game when they have been keck. He's going to use full squad here the way it should be. No free loaders guaranteed a game superb.

With the amount of games we have early doors rotation is a must. Defence will be the same but I think 2 or 3 changes will be made. Possibly Middleton for Kent, McCrorie for jack and Murphy for candeias. Speculation of course but changes are necessary.

I'd leave out Kent and Ejaria and start Murphy and Arfield. We need to be careful with rotation, any more than a couple each game and you lose rhythm. And in this game, Jack must play.

I would like to see Middleton unleashed on someone and us give him the ball, maybe not specifically this game but I just feel for all of his hard work on Thursday I can't remember Kent beating his man and against the sheep we will need someone to be relentless I think Middleton could do that, Jack and Arfield should start for me, Ejaria might look a good ball player but flicks and tricks at 0-0 are a no go for me, not to say i don't like flicks, tricks and skillfull players but there is a time and a place.

I cannot believe Maribor possess a 100% record against Scottish opposition

Not going to take anything away from these guys but hopefully now that changes We SHOULD be a better team than those guys!

However, I do fear one thing and that is we may come short upfront We probably should be playing first game at Ibrox with more than just Morelos up front

We definately need a few players yet

A clinical finisher for sure as we only have Sadiq as backup 2 proper strikers in total!

A creative midfielder and another centre back we can also do with.

Paul is correct. However, Maribor have actually knocked Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs out of European competitions in the past. So the record isn’t fantastic against them.

The amazin thing King pulled off (and I’m led to beleive the judge ruled in our favour) is the fact the fat man cannot just willy billy find out what the other top offer is and has to offer blind. No doubt he’s hanging on to try and get a worm in and find out rival bid and will prob drag this out to another court call. I'd take what dodgy Dave says about the kit and everything else to be honest, with a pinch of salt. Pleased with how things are looking on the pitch but off the pitch? Mad. Dodgy dave announced last season he'd paid off the fatman. Cost? £3m. In the week before the start of premier league, we're in court against the fatman and then have to settle out of court. Costs? £500,000+
We still can't buy our new strips. No doubt Dave will release another bullsh*t statement next week.
