What was the reason we may not get to play in europe next season ?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

No audited accounts to SFA by 31 dec.

Agree1 Disagree1

Its the 31 of March -

Pete

Agree2 Disagree0

@Pete; the march date is for lodging your licence with uefa,the dec date is for getting your licence from your association.rangers missed the dec 31st date so have no licence to submit to eufa.

Agree3 Disagree2

@whoever see you in europe!./biggles

Agree0 Disagree0

B****cks and they can't submit due to the tax case or they would be false statements which the SFA know.

a wee question does anyone have a clue wether its in the rangers best interest to go into admin before or after the tax case? iv,e read a lot of tales regarding the tax issue what ive read into them is that it looks likely that we may well have to pay some amount of cash as a result. what does anyone think will benefit the club before or after or does it make any difference
jammydodger

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There will be money to pay anyway as rangers are appealing the penalties and interest.a win would mean a bill of around 4-7m

Agree2 Disagree0

Jammy - your asking people to speculate, your aswell as waiting to see what happens and take it from there.

Pete

Agree2 Disagree1

Ano pete but its blowin my trumpet hearing it every day everywhere you go if we can keep on performing as we have last few games chances we are making should keep the goals comming for whover we have up front , we can only support the guys on the pitch

Rusty the honest tim who speaks the truth here! You know Dundee utd are going to beat use by 2 goals.rangers have no football in them.there tactics,techniques and ability to see a pass or third man running is non existent!!ally in the papers today saying jelly belly never asked for a transfer,to me he's just trying to make other people out to be liars and is trying to look like he's getting shafted by people higher up.would you give mcoist money after the players he's signed in the summer?mr whyte is trying to save the club which looks like mission impossible and if your last owner spent what he had and not what he didn't have he wouldn't have to be tight fisted.the whole thing in a nut shell is the world is green White and gold and don't use forget it.... Neil Lennon a born winner. Rusty the tim

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Eh? Since when, considering we where on our knees last season. Sold our top striker. N still won the league. See if Celtic are that great, why u on a rangers site? Go on the huddle board n spout ur garbage. As soon as Lenny gets a haircut uz will drop points

Agree5 Disagree1

Dusty Bin, what can I say, your right he is a born winner. His pedigree as a manager is second to,oops sorry, ok he has sown up this years championship oops sorry again. You are a fud mate, your previous posts show your lack of football knowledge and to be honest your age to be about 15. Now go to bed like a good boy and let the grown ups talk.

Agree5 Disagree0

Neil lennon born winner???

ross county, braga, utrecht, ICT, league cup final defeat to rangers. 1 trophy out of 4 available to him as celtic manager....hardly a born winner eh?!

signings ...lennon signs cha, juarez n bangura for a sum in the region of 6 million combined.
ally signs bedoya, mckay n ortiz for a combined sum of 1 million..if your lucky. my question is whos made the biggest mistake financially with their signings??

as for style n tecnique?? you lot seem to think your style of football is soooo superior to any other teams. well let me remind you we have won 3 titles in a row n numerous other domestic honours as well as playing in a european final playing our way. playing good football doesnt often win titles ask mowbray, wenger n keegan. dont even mention barca. thats team is a total one off.

neil lemmon a born winner?? is that the same neil lemmon that your fair weather fans were wanting axed only a few weeks ago? the same fans who used to give him so much abuse as a player that his own father even refused to go back to the piggery?

Does anybody find it strange that Craig Whyte
spent a reported £3m on upgrades at Ibrox like
getting the screens sorted etc rather than spending
that money on the squad

Believable3 Unbelievable3

How many times/??the big screens were put in by the commonwealth comitee for 2014,not by whytes cash,any1 ever seen this so called billionaires cash?lol,

Agree3 Disagree2

Dont know if its true but heard whyte got a grant for the screens, something to do with the commomwealth games holding some events at ibrox.

Agree3 Disagree0

Nothing strange about the screens, commonwealth games grant paid for those. There has been other work done to improve the stadium that was not paid for by the grant, but I think it was a safety concern and needed to be addressed.

Pete

Agree3 Disagree0

What about the food stall upgrades? I have a feeling whyte has an ace up his sleave! The 24m etc could be hidden for admin and then returning rich with no debt. Sometimes you need a crook to get you out of an illegal situation scot free!

I cant pretend to say I like THEM singing songs about my my club , but if they were lifting trophies, playing good football frequently and splashing the cash well maybe I could understand their optimism. That mob again are hoping that Glasgow Rangers drop their footballing standards and let them take our title , it wont happen and our club will take the sweetest title we have won in a long time . Off the park will be settled and like others who know what really goes on in these situations, we will pay our entitlement and will watch with great scrutiny at others who have used these non- illegal pay transfers . Our club needs OUR support now to stand up against the derisory reporting between the 2 big newspapers that don't give a hoot about our club ,our culture, our history or our future. I and others still don't think the runners up have strengthened enough to take our Championship away from us and I along with Ally hope to see yous all again in May when the helicopter lands. I've been reading over the posts today about Lennon and I've got to say Ed001 they are hatred by both sets of fans towards the managers not just the Gers fans towards Lennon. My take on what Lennon said in the paper is the sports writers new that if they could get Lennon to mention anything about Rangers finance situation the we're on to a winner. This might be hard for all the Rangers fans to get their head round but is Lennon got asked a question and he answered it as truthful as he could.
What was he suppose to say? That he was gutted the way all things about Rangers has turned out? Don't be silly. You know yourselfs Bears that if the shoe was on the other foot you's would be gloating/winding up our neighbours. What you've got remember is the papers new what they were doing as did Lennon with his reply but he picked his words carefully.
It's the same as the headlines in the paper yesterday (McGregor & Thompson) can these 2 guys not go for a pint together without all the s**t stirring?
I just hope Thompson the alky (kidding) isn't leading McGregor astray lol. Stop buying the daily rags. They fill the pages with crap.

Agree1 Disagree1

Again - who gives two ****s what he thinks . It makes no difference, he lied when he said " for years we have been cutting our cloth to suit" Bellamy and Robbie Keane got the salaries paid to them by the board, both times we took the title. on the On 24/05/2011 Celtic raised a mortgage on Lennoxtown for an undisclosed amount. If this is cutting their cloth to suit, then they must be able to Mortgage it off every year. Lennon is a Rangers hater, he has every right to hate us because we hate him right back. He lacks class. is a bad winner and worse loser, but that's the Celtic way, always cheated never defeated, always someone to blame.

Pete

Lennon lacks class? What about mcoist tapping up other teams players constantly! Telling lies to his own fans! Whispering in peoples ears then running away! Oh real classy aint he! Hes a fat sneak!

The taxman would and will undoubtedly look for a deal in which he would receive some money. In the event of Rangers going insolvent all creditors would be paid off equally with HMRC not having a "preferential" status anymore according to company law they would not recieve anything near to £5-£8m, so a settlement would be the wise option. As for what counts as assets, its to my understanding that "players" are employees of the club and therefore are not regarded as assets. Ibrox is a listed building so its not an asset which could be sold. Murray park is an asset and at what it cost to be built it would be worth around £12m, furthermore the title deeds to Rangers FC could be worth money however i dont know how much. Any assets i dont know about would still not amount to anything near the "tax-bill".

There is hope ahead folks. We wont be going down without a fight, and i would safely bet against insolvency.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Think players are assets as there worth is carried on balance sheets? what has whyte secured the advance from ticketus on? that might be the key.green jhedi

Murray park is not owned by rangers it is owned by david murray !

People seem to think that Murray Park is worth millions of pounds, its only the land not Murray Park that would make any money, also its in the green belt, so it limits to what can be built on the land.

Lennon is entitled to his opinion, I suspect we would think the same of Celtic if they were in trouble.

HOWEVER ____

the newspaper headlines today are intimidating, irrational, over the top and most of all inflammatory.

It could easily lead to even more trouble in Lennon's mail etc.
The papers should all THINK TWICE when publishing tripe against either side of the old firm.

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Majority of journalists are scummy muckrakers with no moral compass whatsoever they sensationalise tripe to sell their rags and don't care whose character they assassinate in the process ,easy remedy don't buy them,avoid phone ins where same journalists are spouting their rubbish {Ed001's Note - I fully agree, they rely on you reading their drivel, if people just stopped reading it they would have to get a proper job.}

From a Celtic fan, well said. I feel sorry for your manager and the fans but your Robles are the fault of the higher management in the past. So when Lenny said it was mismanagement and your own fault, to a point he is right. Ally McCoist said the same pretty much. I don't think there was any malice meant to the fans or e manager but as usual the press stir it up. The same as the whole Alan Thomson and Alan mcgregor thing - a total non story and just trying to mix it up. Anyway, I do feel sorry for you the fans

Whyte, Smith AND McCoist are all con artists.

Bringing in trialists with NO intention of signing any of them - fraud

Putting in ridiculous offers KNOWING they were too low- deception.

Would all of you out there not have preferred to have been told up front- There will be NO NEW PLAYERS coming in. Possibly some going out.
It would have been honest and respectable, but instead we got lies, deceipt, some players ambitions shot to pieces, and on top of all that we got laughed at BIG TIME.

Agree4 Disagree0

Who knows?whyte wont tell whats really going on behind the scenes,considering it takes roughly 4 m a month to run the club,this money may be spent already,i firmly believe the money from the jelavic sale was needed to keep the club operating till the outcome of the hmrc case,even if rangers get of lightly or win the tax case rangers appear to still have very serious cash issues....who knows?its patently obvious whyte hasnt the financial backing to take rangers forward so why on earth did he buy the club?whyte needs to tell the fans exactly what the situation is instead of giving half stories when his back is against the wall,if the dr hadnt ran the story about season ticket sales would whyte have opened his mouth?

Agree4 Disagree0

The same rag of a newspaper made it a crime for Alan Thomson and Allan McGregor to have a pint together and also took the predictable stance of giving Whyte a platform to spout more lies just because it's rival scooped them on Whyte's activities. Now they say Lennon launches scathing attack on Rangers when all he did was answer a question and say what all right-minded people think. that way if Lennon receives more death threats and bullets they have created a story and will sell more papers. Edu

Aluko. Celik
Healy(lafferty when fit)

But ally will probably go 442 n McKay won't get near the team, but I think he should get a chance n obviously Bartley wouldn't b at right back if Whittaker was fit, not that he's been the greatest, I'd have gave McMillan a chance there but he's away

Aye we have heard for the last three years how good Celtic are, and uz have defo proved that haha. What have uz won? A Scottish cup. There's a long way to go yet, and with Celtic prone to s**tt*n there panties at the run in my money's on four in a row for the gers

Lee

Agree4 Disagree6

Agree0 Disagree2

Why does craig whyte not just admit that he can`t really do anything for the club with his finances.the guy has obviously done well for himself but not well enough to own a club like rangers.in this day and age a club the size of rangers needs a billionaire owner or at the very least a owner that has hundreds of millions so he can help finance the club to be successful.it is now very obvious that rangers are now going to struggle financially to keep a team that is capable of winning the league and putting up a half decent show in europe.a new onwer should be found and craig whyte could make himself a good few quid.craig whyte is trying to be the owner of rangers without putting a penny into the club,this cannot be done if the club is still to be successful.also he cannot think that the fans are daft enough to think that he will not get back every penny he has ever used to buy the club.the club needs a mega rich owner.

Basically all e has sad is that it is rangers fault they are in the mess and no one else's. To be air, ally McCoist says the same. It's just the press stirring as usual. Just like the an Thomson Alan cgregor thing

Agree4 Disagree1

Perhaps he should have simply said it's none of my business, instead he could not resist a little dig . Ed you can dislike someone without actually hating them , that's a very strong word to use against anyone that expresses an opinion that is slightly different from your own. {Ed001's Note - I understand that, but I have seen nothing on this page to suggest anything other than a hatred for Lennon. People would be dismissing the story if it didn't suit them, but because it appeals to their prejudices they are talking about how terrible it is. What he said was not even worthy of discussion, in my opinion as a neutral. If it had been said by anyone else no one would have noticed. That is the point I am trying to make. And yes, he could have said nothing, but he is entitled to give an opinion just like you are.}

Seems he can say what he likes but as soon as Walter/ Ally make a comment about septic he throws the dummy out...typical...At least Ally was professional in his reply...let's hope he puts it on the dressing room wall and it fires up the team ...as for Hartson and his comments well Tell him to nick down the bookies and stick a bet on....

Walter smith says in his book rangers and scottish football dont need a strong celtic and no mention of it.grow up. green jhedi

Sorry ed but I've another Q... you says we don't no the damage we can take without buckling if we lose the case due to accounts not been signed of with no accounts I gather no Europe so have we missed the deadline if so an we have no europe why ain't the rags jumped all over this an why does coisty never get asked about it.In short if we don't fold, have we got Europe next year. just confused masel even more writing this. macGER {Ed001's Note - that will be up to UEFA to decide, but the cutoff date is in March I believe, in order to be in Europe. I am quite sure the accounts will be submitted to UEFA in time, Rangers would lose too much if not.}

Thanks mate

March is the cut off for submitting your licence,31 dec is the last date for getting your licence.it looks like no licence has been granted so theres nothing to submit. green jhedi

Ok ed take your word for it . But their is not 1 gers fan out their that likes the winger . As a player animal arrogant clown he hates the rangers as much as we hate him . If you look back spitting on scarfs rude gestures to fans brings everything on himself Kingbilly boy {Ed001's Note - that is my point, you are immediately assuming it was bad because it was him, the papers play on that to stir up trouble. Then they can get even more copy out of the trouble caused and blame it on the fans, even though they stirred it up initially!}

@kingbilly boy.my god give it up!! you sound like a nasty bigot, green jhedi

Ed sorry to bother you . But ginger winger is in the sun newspaper (saying rangers deserve to be in this mess ) now if that's not rubbing our nose in it what is it . We don't need his sympathy we have a great club who is in a bit of trouble but we will get through this come back stronger than ever we will never go bust watp Kingbilly boy {Ed001's Note - the thing is that the rags just edit things to stir up trouble. He was asked some questions and then gave honest answers. Lennon did not set out to stir it up, the newspapers did. Your best bet is not to read newspapers, they will misrepresent everything that is said to suit their own agenda.}

How can you complain about anything anyone says, especially saying Lennon is winding up Rangers fans and then sign off with the name kingbillyboy.

Ed sorry if you been asked this but here goes... In your opinion mate if,infact no doubt when we lose the tax case what the limit of punishment we can take before buckling? would half the worse case scenario do it... say 20 mill. macGER {Ed001's Note - I really don't know, it is impossible to say without access to the accounts, which have yet to be signed off and revealed. A lot would depend on if the club can agree a long term repayment schedule, if they have to pay anything at all. Costs are being reduced massively, so it might just be possible the club can cope, which certainly wouldn't have been possible without the cost cutting measures.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Even when the asccounts are signed off, they only cover the period upto 30 June 2011, two months after Whyte took over. What has been happening between the beginning of July and now is anybodys bet.

Against all the odds, Rangers DO have agreat chance to get 4 in a row this season. Look at the Celtic 1st team squad. It has 2 Celtic supporters in it... Rangers? McShagger, McCulloch, Broadfoot, Whittaker, Wylde, Lafferty, Healy, Davis these boys WANT to pull on the famous blue shirt! It's one of the reasons we got to 3 in a row and now more than ever it will get us to 4! It's also the closest any of us will get to being on the pitch... if we all get behind the team week in week out we can help fire them up even more! So, if there is somthing pis*ing you off by all means have a gripe on this site or down the pub, but when the boys cross that white line get RIGHT behind them EVERY week and we can ALL be part of one of the best trophys in our great clubs history...

Ed - sorry if this is an old one but i only ask due to posts regarding bleeding the youth! does david murray get money if we play anyone produced at murray park? another reason i ask is cos huttons away on loan yet he played (very well) against man u in champs league, now he cani be bled into our league side?? ntbear {Ed001's Note - I don't understand why you think Murray would get anything from that? Hutton is sent on loan to aid his development, he wouldn't be playing regularly for the first team, so this is a chance to get him regular first team football.}

Does anyone think that healy will be able to replace Jelavic? i dont! and what happens if he gets injured along with Lafferty? we needed to get another striker in January if only for cover. But lets keep the faith-if we win the league this year it'll surely be the best one of all! Follow follow!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Has Jelavic ever scored 13 goals in a international campaign, including a hat-trick against Spain? No!
Healy needs to be loved by the fans, with confidence he can do a job for Rangers. This man is a lethal finisher but he needs confidence.

Healy is over 30 and on the way out of the game, whereas jelavic hasnt even peaked yet, no comparison there son

Morning fellow Bears, this is the worst period in the history of our great club Bears. We have snipers putting the boot in from every and any angle of opportunity, none more than fans of the Dhims and now theyre so called " manager ". Lets use this as as our inspiration and support the Rangers all the way to the title and then the cup in May. Lets shut them up, be loud, be proud and show them all how a family rallies when they are threatened. " RANGERS 'TIL I DIE " I believe, keep believing Bears!!....

Ed from what I've heard we seem to have little chance of winning the tax case due to apparent documents proving our guilt so as in criminal cases if you no your going doon you plead guilty as early as possible to get a reduced sentence as I've done myself so my point been if our lawyers think we will lose should we not have pled to the charge or are as I suspect tax cases different in cutting deals to save a trial. macGER {Ed001's Note - it is a different thing, HMRC are a different breed.}

I'm really puzzled at how some of you out there think we can still win the league/cup/even finish a respectable second in the league when we have ONE fit striker who is an total joke and only three senior strikers on our books at all.

Regardless of the tax case and administration, we are absolutely screwed for this season, at least.

We shipped a 15 point lead with this squad + Jelavic and now we have the same squad but without him (don't even bother mentioning the 21 year old unknown bloke from the Swedish league) I really don't see where any of you are coming from.

McCoist has to say it, as embarrassing as it is to see, but surely we can all be realistic about this and not make fools of ourselves pretending it's all ok.

I remember Season 2004/2005 - Celtic coming to Ibrox and winning to go 5 points clear with only 3 Games left. They had banners saying "we won the League at Ibrox" But they lost at Home to Hibs and away at Motherwell and the Chopper turned ...

Celtic had a far superior team than us, a much bigger squad with Larson, Sutton, Hartson and Uncle Dermot (or it is Desmond) paid Bellendamy 70K wages but it was all to no avail, We had wee Nacho .. that proved to be enough in the end as he got the goal that made the difference.
