Tim Howard's a better striker than Boyd and Novo put together! lol

Miko

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Hes got the same strike rate as healy this season lol

Agree1 Disagree1

Miko, whos scored more in scotland than boyd?
drumlad

Agree3 Disagree0

Henrik Larsson did Dumblad.Boyd is only the spl top scorer.Larsson played a season in the old premier division and scored more than him over all.do you watch football or just read stupid rangers sites?

Agree4 Disagree5

There are numerous players, even Sally McChins has scored more times than that donkey! I assume you mean who's scored more since the inception of the SPL?? No one!

However, he was surrounded by better players whilst at the club, he never scores against the top SPL sides and there's not enough creativity in that side to accommodate him.....simples!

Miko

Agree3 Disagree1

Hooper is just a small Kris Boyd

Agree3 Disagree2

Healys strike rate is good hes played 1 game nd scored

Agree3 Disagree1

That's Howard only 1 goal behind samaras for the season. Ha.

Agree2 Disagree1

He may be lazy but he knows where the net is and with out a doubt his goals helped get the leauge back from celtic

Got to laugh at some of the speculation on here, some of the chat really is nonsensical and harebrained!

Why would you want 2 former duffers back? Boyd is sub-mediocre, as reflected in his exploits since leaving. Novo is a bench warmer and technically diabolical! Why would you disagree?

HMRC will not be settling for £5-£10m. Seriously, you lot have to wake up because you're either half asleep or just plain old deluded. If I'm wrong, I'll take the pelters, don't think I am though!

On another point, went to the game last Wednesday and I have to say, yer wee captain Davis hid for the whole game, just not interested, Jelavic was non-existent and McGregor couldn't catch a cold!......and you expect bids of £10m each for these players? Ooft!

Hello, anybody home?!?

Malky Mackay wants Stephan Dobbie to go onloan for the rest of the season would be great loan signing! and be at us once before

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Stephen Dobbie is a very good player who is creative and can score goals, would be a good signing.

Agree0 Disagree4

Malky Mackay, manager of Championship Cardiff City, wants Stephen Dobbie of Premier League Swansea City to go out on loan? Bizarre.

Maybe check your facts before posting next time bud.

just to clear these rumours up we are 100% not getting these players so stop posting carp!

Billy Sharpe - going to English club Westham want him and he a home boy.

Dorrans - WBA wont let him go even on loan!

Foster - ABERDEEN would want 2.5m for him as they did in summer or more

riorden - wont happen if he comes home he will go else where

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Lol 2.5m for Foster, i think you made a typo there surely.

What a mess! It is now very clear that those who still support Whyte that he is clealy totally useless. In December it was announced that he and ally would have discussions regarding transfers. Last week it was announced that the meeting was still to happen, now they have had a meeting but another is planned.

Mccoist made it clear last week on tv that he would not sell jelavic. It is clear that mr whyte is not giving the manager his place. Next he will be picking the team, that is if we still have eleven players.

He has been proved to be a liar on several occasions, and it has to be asked if he is a suitable person to be in charge of any business, never mind an institution like Rangers.

Another concern is the two Honduran players which appear to the wish of Russell, not McCoist, this follows hot on the heels on the two Indian players, who were by all accounts completely out of their depth. What knowledge of footballers do Russell and Whyte have. It will be Ally's neck on the block and he is clearly being let down badly.

Wonder when Whyte will start bidding £200k for a £2m player as he did several times in the last window. He continues to make our club a laughing stock and I think it very likely, that Ally will walk away, and I think that he should.

Time we told Mr Whyte that this is not good enough.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Catch a grip captain panic merchant.if you werent in the meetings you dont know whats happening.some posters on here are just muppets.its like aah boydy is hanging off to see what happens with championship clubs and jelavic has only heard that liverpool want him and why has this youth player or that been freed.the belter earlier was the clubs youth coaches are deranged etc etc.what if the boy got caught sniffing lines in murray park with prostitutes? my point is that unless your in there or sitting beside a potential target you just dont know and all the rest is speculation.some folk on here talk as if they are fotballing geniuses,if that was the case, what happened to your career? why u not in murray park? ohhh cause your a plumber....
drumlad

Agree2 Disagree1

It seems that discontent and anger towards Whyte is growing. In my opinion we should give him until the end of the transfer window to see what happens. If at the end of it he has shafted us then by all means give him both barrels. Quite honestly though what does posting about it on here achieve? Surely if you feel that strongly about it organise a demonstration outside Ibrox. How many Bears on here would honestly attend that now?

Click agree if you would. Disagree if you wouldn't.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree6 Disagree6

Do you really think it as easy as them meeting up and Mr Whyte saying; 'Ohh hi Ally here is £10,000,000 go and see what you find and let me know.
They are not planning a holiday, they are heading a major company in a complete financial mess, in a seriously stripped economy. Do you think that they have a very large money tree over at the head offices or something like that?

Agree2 Disagree1

That is exactly what whyte said - £5m with another £10 m upfront if required. Think it's required. Everybody knew when the window was and still no clue or plan

Agree1 Disagree1

You are correct, he did promise a certain allocation of money.

My point is: Firstly, if Whyte has given McCoist the money to spend, broadcasting exactly how mush to our competitors would be completely absurd.

Secondly, half the people on here have far to high expectations of what we will get (especially if you calculate in wages)

Thirdly, the other half seem to have expected 15 signings with in the first week of the window

And finally, I for one would want to see our club financially stabled before we start spending any amounts of money again. Surely it is obvious that throwing your money around in the SPL is not the smartest of policies

I cant say I know Whyte or anyone connected with Rangers, but taking in mind this is Murray's mess, we need to give Whyte a chance. He could be a con artist or a hero, but until we find out I will not judge, as we are stuck with the hand we were drawn

Time for a wee rant so sorry in advance, but as a life long blue nose im at a stage where i have been patient enough.
We get told sod all.
do i blame whyte? not really who is he?
Do i blame mr murray? Yes s**t and fan come to mind here.... and yet nothing from the man himself, last thing constructive i remember him saying was " i will only sell to someone who can take rangers on to better things? then why sell to whyte? i have spent more on rangers this season than him?
If no reasonable signings are made this month and any of our better players go we should not be worrying if mr whyte drops the prices to watch lesser players next year as he should be worrying that we aint coming back till there is improvement in the product we are paying to watch cause lets not kis oursleves on right from the uefa cup run to right now has not been gr8 to watch yes thx for winning the league but hey nothing great to watch , no flair, no dig just grind grind grind which is ok but i cant put up with that any longer and a lot of my mates are the same.
so ffs someone at ibrox say or do something to put everything into perspective and pls dont mention the hmrc as old murray boy should have had this all sorted before he went, if indeed he has gone? i know i know on paper he has, but there is something fishy with everything in fact it stinks.
all i want is a rangers team on the park that can play good footie and i accept that on occassion this team can do that but very rarely good football?
i could go on and on but heyho, let me know what you all think.... im i wrong and if so let me know how?
Also let me know what you think is wrong fellow bears.
I,m not interested in the slightest about what any celtic fans think you just concentrate on your own Team because your p*sh as well.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

You are on the right mark, Murray has put in this mess, and he should be critised clearly and loudly. He put us close to administration and walks away Scott free. However I think Whyte is an absolute charlatan, a liar, a con man, and a complete waste of time. However we as fans should have made sure that no one man should own us. We the fans should own the club as we are the only people with the best interest of the club at heart, and not the desire for a quick buck

Agree6 Disagree1

Couldnt agree more ^^^^ the football at times has been dross and yes we won the league but it was dire to watch at times and if i have to watch players like broadfoot and likes for much longer i dont think i will last much longer going to ibrox and that pains me to say that as ive had a season tckt since 1989

just wondering why everyone is having a go at broadfoot all the time?....ok so the guy isnt any danny alves but surely it should be the likes of steve (invisable man) davis and jelavic they should be bringing to task over their recent performances, this rangers team is in desperate need of new faces but i fear it will be like loan players of similar standard.....pure pish!! why did mccoist sign ortis, mcckay and bedoya?,if i was craig whyte i wouldnt trust mccoist to spend any money either,
comparing the old firm i think only mcgregor, goian and possibly bocanegra would get a game for sellik,
it just shows how much we miss naisy
please dont bring boyd or novo back either!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

The likes of Ortiz were signings primarily to appease the fans I reckon. A signing for the sake of it and then justifying it as a bargain and him being a ''Versatile'' utility man.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jan 2012 20:11:31
With the demise of Jelavic and Lafferty , Rangers are lacking height in the forward positions . Fleck 5'6" , Healy 5'8", Aluko 5'8" , McKay 5'7" - Wylde and Bedoya are the tallest at 5'10" - hardly giants . With the pitches beginning to cut up with the weather - the ball "on the deck" won't be an option .

Believable1 Unbelievable6

How many games have we played ball on deck anyway?

Agree3 Disagree0

From the very start of the season Moterwell when our youth got a chance is the only game we played well all season, in my honest opinion. There might have been another one a couple of matches later but not sure. The only reason we dominated Celtic was they were atrocious, we still didn';t play well.

Agree1 Disagree0

This is the problem with Scottish football at the moment. People think that because players are bigger that it makes them better. IT DOESN'T! If anything it makes them worse. We want to play the ball on the deck. Look what happened when a defence of big defenders (Scotland defence) came up against one small player (silva). They were torn to shreads within 15mins.

Can someone enlighten me as to why the f*** people think that gary O'Conner would be a better option than Chris Boyd or Nacho Novo.....Boydy has 164 goals in the SPL...Wee Nacho is the 7th top ever scorer in the SPL, and remember,i'm not saying the guys are world beaters, but its the SPL we're on about here....people will say Boydy hasn't done this n that, O'conner never cut it in Russia, Boydy never cut it in Turkey, some might say Boydy never cut it in England....ok, O'conner was rotten at Birmingham and got freed by Burnley....Oh! and get this one Boydy who is the same age as 'ned boy' O'conner is number 1 all time scorer in the SPL as we know....164 O'conner having played the same amount of time, against the same teams '''isn't even in the top 10'', but guess who is? sitting proudly at number 10...above Gary O'.....WAIT FOR IT......''COLIN NISH'' Haahaahaaaa.........any O'conner fans left ?? if there are, the wee men with the white duffel coats, are on their way.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

O'Connor is a better alround player and can pass to a team mate and set goals up.

OMG never realised we had so much dross at the club

Alexander

Whittker, broadfoot, bartley, papac
USA dud, mckay, edu, ortiz
Healy, Hemmings.

Would this team make top 6?

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Wouldnt say dross mate ..alexander is a good keeper,, mckay not had a chance , bartley is decent ,,hemmings has been injured

Agree4 Disagree4

Just out of curiosity.....what's you're point... And wheres the other half of the team?

Rikkisixx

Agree0 Disagree3

Point us if Mr tight has his own way and sells all our best players, how would this team perform?

Agree2 Disagree1

So if he has his own way mcGregor, goian, bocanegra, Wallace, Davis, Fleck, Wylde, Lafferty, Jelavic will all be sold??

Well ever there is calling for the psychic profit of doom, you must be a shoe-in for the job....ya nutter

Rikkisixx

(P.s only one being sold is Jelavic, there hasn't been any conclusive proof that any team is interested in any of our top players)

Agree1 Disagree1

Celtic fan in peace giving an honest opinion.

Alexander is a decent keeper. Not as good as McGregor but could certainly step up as cover if he got injured.

Papac is a good player and good honest pro. IMO Izaguirre is the only better left-back in the SPL.

Bartley IMO is a childish thug but certainly has potential as a centre back and has a lot to learn...a bit of aggression in his game won't do him any harm if a lid is kept on it.

Whittaker is good going forward but defensively suspect...don't see why he's always played as a defender.

Can't comment on Bedoya or McKay as I've never seen them but my guess is they're not getting in the team for a reason - they're poor players or there's poor management afoot.

Agree6 Disagree0

That team would easilly be in top two, they all can play if given the chance.

Agree2 Disagree2

Aye you are quite right mate. Long standing gers season ticket holder and Bartley's antics with brown in the tunnel last week was embarassing. He should do his talking on the park and for me has yet to prove himself. Your mob have a strong squad but we will be back on top by the end of the season

Agree2 Disagree2

If you are a supporter surely you would be aware of the players at the club.
I don't understand, half of the players you mention have played the majority of games in the Spl and were on top until last week.
Papac and Edu should be in the team any way as both are good players who are usually undervalued by people like you.
You forget that Papc marked Messi out of the Game at ibrox?I've said in the past would be first player on my team sheet.
He has transformed his game since being here and has the required attitude for me.
Edu has all the qualities to be a top player, it's just that some have not got the footballing knowledge to see it.
Yes, some haven't performed to their best this season, but this nost of this lot have been part of the last 3 championships.
Don't normally reply to silly posts like this but i'm sick of the negative remarks about some of the better players in our team.
You can fill your boots with Ortiz but McKay has never had any sort of run in the team and signs are that Healy could step up to SPL level.
I like the rest would love several top quality players brought in, but lets face it, It probably won't happen.
Your entitled to your opinion but it's wrong in my eyes.

Am i the only person that thinks mckay should be gettin a game. I think he should have a chance to see what he's like rather than people judging him on 1 on 2 games. and think he should stay need as much back up with players as possible

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Ally needs to look at the play on Saturday then maybe he will give McKay a run as his style would suit in any case the guy needs a run to prove his worth

Agree3 Disagree1

I agree,do you remember big hateley, could not get going, looked like we signed a pup,the rest my friends is history,so lets be a bit more patient ffs,the players need time, even the good ones. One Club,RANGERS.

Agree3 Disagree3

Mckay won't get his chance at rangers while mccoist is in charge. that was made clear on monday when as he put mcmillan at centre mid and kerkar left mid when the game was done. surely 3-0 up at ibrox was the ideal time to play mckay and see what he's got.
johnger

Agree0 Disagree1

Ally seems determined to play his pals MCCULLOCH EDO WHITIKER DAVIS they have been poor 90% of the games they have played.
He just refuses to change unless he is forced by injuries as shown against the Motherwell games home and away. We had Perry Macmillian at Motherwell and Healy and Fleck at home all played AS GOOD AS HIS PALS. He needs to be showing the young ones a bit of faith and give them a chance.

Fellow bears relax..... We are sitting 2 points away from were we need to be. Celtic have hit a run of form early on which i dont think they can keep until April so theres plenty of time for 4IAR. As with the tax case.... if you remember from last year one of the only reasons Whyte bought Rangers is because he had seen legal reps who told him Rangers would win the case. (this is the 'big' case im talkin about) So at the end..... wether Celtic win the league or not... all this penny pinching and 'ring fencing' will come to an end and we will be debt free with nothing hanging over our heads.... just the football to concentrate on.... and a few quid put away to which im SURE will be used to strengthen squad. THE TIME FOR PANIC WAS NEVER HERE NEVER MIND OVER!!

Believable6 Unbelievable12

You clearly have no understanding of Rangers finances.

Agree4 Disagree1

Relax! wow you must drunk.do you really think HMRC knocked back 10m not sure if they were gonna win? we will be hammered probably to administration.thats 10 point minimum deduction and a three year euro ban to add to the 10m black hole mr whyte told us about.a really bad decision on the tax case could set us back 5-6 years.how do we make that money up?

This weekends the perfect time to have a look at guys like McKay and Bedoya. Also give Perry a run out to let him gain more experience and push on with his development. Healy and Fleck are our only real options up front and after the weekends performance they should be on a right high. I can't think of any better time in the near future to get these guys in and have a look.
I would like to see McMillan but he hasn't been seen since Fir Park for what reason i don't know so this would be my team.

Agree3 Disagree0

Didn't we try that approach with Falkirk, history has shown the folly of underestimating anyone, it has to be our strongest team and nothing else.

Why would it be off? Have you checked forecast? Weather not too bad at weekend- typical as I am a fisherman.

Just saying, this site, infact all of the rumours pages are just daft. No one knows anything, maybe one in ten have got something close to correct. They are nothing more than dream pages for fans to bicker about who would be good to sign. None of this "I know someone who walks someones cat to the nearest gold fish for Craig Whyte" rubbish is doing no one any good. What's the point in all this lying? Know what I HATE the most? When wee arrogant, smug idiots put "FACT!" at the end of a post. It's not fact, it's never been fact, nor will it ever be fact, unless we are lucky enough to be graced by the presence of Coisty himself, when actually, most of the signings he went for in the summer he never got, so he isn't even reliable. Thanks.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

You have no standard in football if you thought the Motherwell game was good to watch.......Where did you see it? It could only have been highlights on TV if you honestly think that was good football. Some OK moments but a terrible game, in particular the first half.

First things first Happy New Yaers to the EDs and the regulars FF81,Gerry The Ger, Germinator, Govan FR C-Bear and anyone else i've missed hiope Santa was good to you all. This is the first chance i've had to get on since Xmas and New Year. Regarding the Old Firm I dont think we deserved anything from the game apart from the Wallace goal which to be honest I thought hit the post until I seen the replays. So there is no chance the ref or the linesman can notice that. Apart from that Iwe never created much which was disappointing
The weekends game was much better I thought some good stuff played maybe the reason was Jelavic wasnt playing so there were no long balls. Was he injured? Who knows. Sorry if this is all jumbled up can only see halgf of what im writing because im trying to hide it from the boss haha

Here's hoping so Billyboy1. Cant wait to see the end of this transfer window though and stop all these nuggets from posting pish about players etc. Only Ally and Whyte know what the funds are available and whose coming in our going out.

Personally a dream window for me would see a decent fee acquired for Jela, maybe move Edu on if there are any takers and release or sell some fringe guys, Kerkar, Bedoya, Healy, Clubfoot, McKay if it turns out he is wanting away, Weir ( been a great servant but all good things come to an end). Bring in Templeton, Eremenko ( I thought he was a standout last season, really creative). Boyd (yes i would defo take him back on a free) Novo (would be a great impact player from the bench). Bengston and Claros are highly rated and if they had the same impact as Izzageezer would be a bargain. And pick up a RB from somewhere. All would be relatively cheap or free.

Will it happen though? I've got my doubts lol. FF81, Billyboy1. Who would you like to see brought in? Sensible one's though lol. Nae Messi's and Iniesta's.

Forgot to add my name to that last post.

I would like to see Templeton, Rhodes, McArthur and Xavi. Can't see it tho. Murray and Brown would have scanned the world for unknown gems lol.

because of the lack of hieght in the team on monday against motherwell, we were forced to play the ball along the ground instead of the high ball up from the back.

I think we can all agree that this was much more pleasing on they eye and seemed to work really well.

For me Fleck has to start getting a run in the team as i think he may be one of the answers to our creativity problem, and with him playing we can start to play eye-catching football aswell as get the results.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

If u think long term having healy in the team instead of jelavic is good your kidding yourself on, that 11 that started against motherwell are nowhere near good enough to win the league.

Why are Rangers looking at Airdrie players! Ross County have a whole host of players who would get a game for rangers just now, Scott Boyd, Richard Brittain, Iain Vigurs and dare i say it Michael Gardyne, i know he is an ex tim but he is creative, quick and changes games single handedly, definatly more craetive than edu. Wake up Ally and look north!

Thank God we can put one 'mince' rumour to bed......Wilson has gone to Blackpool on loan.
So lets leave that one alone now please.

I see Swansea have signed Iceland boy Sigurdsson on loan. Not that we would have been in for him, but he would have been a tremendous signing for a loan.

Wilson and Kevin Thomson got forced out do Walter could get jelavic, anyway was he meant to knock back Liverpool?

Ed, maybe so, however the boys head was clearly turned. Although what has Fleck been rewarded with for showing loyalty?

What is Rangers class then?

In Walters 1st spell he had a squad with the likes of Ally, Hately, Durrant, McCall, Gough, Brown, Robertson, Laudrup, Gazza, Ian Ferguson, Goram ect.

In Advocaat's time we saw the likes of Numan, Barry Ferguson, Reyna, Albertz, Tugay, Gio, Porrini, Amoruso, De Boer ect.

Even McLeish had players like De Boer, Arteta, Ferguson and Prso at his disposal.

Would any of Rangers current squad be good enough to start ahead of any of these players i have mentioned? NO. But these current player have won us 3 titles in a row. We have based our success on being a team rather than relying on some exceptional individuals.

So if anyone who claims current players/potential signings aren't Rangers class then please let me know what you are gauging your opinion on?

Sandaza/O'Connor/Templeton/Hately/Allan have all been mentioned on here and guys are hitting us with ...awww their no Rangers Class!! Well they certainly aren't on a level with De Boer, Prso, Durrant, Laudrup, Gazza ect,ect...

J1985

Believable4 Unbelievable2

U just answered your own question !

Agree1 Disagree1

I understand what your saying, but I think when people say 'not Rangers class' they really mean they are simply not good enough full stop.
Sandaza out of your list in particular isn't good enough for ANY club, he is God awful!

GDog
WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure he`s scored only 2 less than jela in the spl with 5 goals against the old firm
no bad considering he`s not rangers class eh, did he not get 2 against us in 1 match

Agree1 Disagree0

Answered my own question? well that would mean we compare potential signings to the likes of prso, de boer ect, ect. if thats the case then some fans need a massive reality check. no player with that level of ability is available to rangers...fact!!
personally id have sandaza, what have we got to lose by signing him? wouldnt cost much n i dont imagine wages would be an issue. if it doesnt work out then fine but we'll never really know unless we take a punt on the guy. but if fans compare him to prso or de boer then hes fighting a losing battle from the off.
j1985

Agree1 Disagree0

Again I agree with what your saying in principle. However why take a punt on him? Why not take a cheaper punt on Boyd? ( I personally wouldn't on both) but surely he would be better served as less of a risk, he knows the team the pressure etc.. I dont think you should underestimate being a large fish in a small pond scenario, making the transition sometimes just does not work for some players. Sandaza was in a far better squad for Dundee U than he currently is for St.J. and he didn't set the heather on fire. Perhaps he is better suited to smaller clubs?

GDog
WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree GDog sandaza`s done well this season but maybe thats just form, he`s on a free at the end of the season, id rather see us get o`connor in he`s a goal scorer and has a work ethic and a point to prove, could be a good partner for laffs, or boyd if he returns, this rangers class thing is beyond a joke to buy class costs, laudrup, gazza, albertz, big amo, bjorklund etc etc all cost getting on for £4m a shot, we`d do owt now for just £4m to spend in a window that would be great! nevermind 3 and 4 players at that price! you shop in the places you can afford, otherwise your window shopping,
id be very happy with a player that works his socks off each game, plays for the team that would do me, a goal or 20 would be nice 2!
stg

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair point about the Sandaza/Boyd thing GDog. Although i think Boyd would struggle in this Rangers side as he would have to up his workrate with our midfield lacking creativity. No miller beside him to do all the donkey work. Sandaza is in good form at the minute and i'm only saying he would do a turn for that reason alone, he's scoring in the SPL- we want to win the SPL and in theory he should score more in a team that gets more chances infront of goal like we do. However, i know this isn't always the case.
stg I agree with O'Connor. I like the big fella and again he is used to scoring in the league, his workrate is good and i think he's a better player now than the player he was when he left for Russia a few years back. That's only my opinion though. Could see him doing a turn and out the 3 mentioned is probably the best option atm. Lets be honest though...WE JUST WANT SOME SIGNINGS!!!
J1985

Agree1 Disagree0

I would certainly prefer O'Connor, he could do something for us I'm sure.

Edu and broadfoot should get sold never rangers quality! Players coming through the youth are 10 times better and more commited! Why was murray park built if we wont use it? nowles

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Broadfoot on his day is a quality player and so is Edu. Team is thin on the ground as it is without ripping holes in the starting 11 and regular squad players.

Agree0 Disagree1

Broadfoot will never make a footballer as long as my sphincter points down the way, he cant even take a shy properly. Edu does a lot of work that those who have never played the game don't realise.
