has anybody else noticed HITC calling Katic
Ryan Katic lmao.

04 Jan 2019 20:23:04
Not as funny as the idiots who read and repost the pish on it. Social media and click bait sites at their finest.

04 Jan 2019 23:28:44
Here we go again another ref having to call police because of threats made to him. What a crowd they are they cannot be dignified in defeat.

05 Jan 2019 03:15:02
Always cheated never defeated.

05 Jan 2019 03:40:57
I don’t remember this mass hysteria when Ryan Jack was fouled to lose possession and Celtic ran up and scored in the last old firm, hardly a mention. Brown should be cited for his follow through on Candeias and the only Morelos incident I thought was even worth looking at was when he “stamped” on Ralston. Only ralston will know how much weight was applied to his back but at the time I felt he had made a meal of it. I am biased though. There’s also the Calum McGregor handball where we could’ve had a penalty. I thought it was soft but no softer than 2 of the Morelos incidents. None of the Rangers related incidents being reported which is shameful.

05 Jan 2019 09:02:12
Jaws column also had to call police after st Mirren debacle.

05 Jan 2019 09:11:37
Heard big DJ talk about the 2 Christie kick outs at Norelos before he reacted or his blatant dives. As usual it is all one way.

05 Jan 2019 10:20:54
I posted that at the time, the Christie one eouldnt have happened if he didn't kick morelos twice after the whistle had already went.

05 Jan 2019 12:08:54
Fb I really don’t see the foul on Christie. Brown a talking to. Ralston naughty.
That twit Sutton’s says three reds and six games. If sent off for brown incident not there for next two reds.
I knew there was a reason not to pay BT money.

05 Jan 2019 15:54:06
Jboy21 I agree, the process would be looking to see if there is any suspension to be dished out, not how many red cards he should have had. Like you say if the Brown one was a red then a suspension for that, a player can't get 3 red cards in the same game just silly thinking.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, New stamp

04 Jan 2019 18:55:47
That's not a stamp!
The review panel say it was an accident 🙈.

04 Jan 2019 21:44:13
That’s now my WhatsApp pic. Just to wynd up my tim mates. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

05 Jan 2019 10:22:14
Belter mate, thought I'd post it up as it's doing the rounds on a couple of my WhatsApp groups.

04 Jan 2019 15:05:57
I do think there is more to the bournemouth / defoe deal than meets the eye. Its a lot of money for them to be willing to pay for quite along time. Would not surprise me one bit if they get first shot at morelos at the end of the season.

04 Jan 2019 15:15:02
So you know the fine details of the contract.

04 Jan 2019 15:19:57
Did i say that? I said I 'think' there is more to the deal than meets the eye. Not i 'know' there is more to the deal.

04 Jan 2019 15:24:30
Flinty
Your view is quite feasible, and it’s quite possible.

04 Jan 2019 15:30:04
Flinty, if they get first shout that's fine, whilst I don't want Morelos to go it will happen.

04 Jan 2019 15:51:29
Bourmouth buying solanke £19m so yeah there definitely is and I think Liverpool gave us a helping hand to get defoe up here.

04 Jan 2019 16:34:32
Clynn also heading to Bournemouth on loan, so no chance of coming here and perhaps less chance of Tav exit?

05 Jan 2019 00:21:30
Fintytint, you could have had a decent point there mate, as regards to maybe bournemouth having first refusal on our striker alfredo morelos, as part of the smooth way, they have allowed jermain defoe to move to us on an 18 month loan deal. Especially as bournemouth would still be paying the majority of defoe's wages, during his 18 month loan deal, which his contract then ends with bournemouth. That was a good shout up to about an hour ago because now bournemouth have had a bid accepted by liverpool, of £19million + add ons, for striker dominic solanke!

05 Jan 2019 00:24:36
Morelos will go and we would be mad not to take £13 million upwards that’s a great price of business and it’s long overdue we balanced the books. I would love him to stay but when we are in multiple millions in debt
You need to take a balanced view of risk and reward
Keep him till the summer to make a massive push for the league and then collect and invest for next season.

06 Jan 2019 00:14:06
Flinty why would they have to be something in it he’s got a contract with them so they would need to pay his wage and I’m sure we’re paying some of his wage so it gets that percentage off there wage bill so makes sense for them to pay less without something having to be in it.

04 Jan 2019 13:48:43
Not meaning to be all doom and gloom, but is anyone else a little concerned with the age of the players we are being linked with?

Obviously. if it meant stopping them getting 10, I would happily have a team filled with pensioners.

My only concern is that these guys will be keeping the younger, developing players out of the team for the rest of the season. If we don't make it this time around, how much will McAuley - 39-40, Davis 34-35 and Defoe 36-37 have to offer?

Just a little worried about the development younger players.

04 Jan 2019 14:42:35
Ye add mcgregor 36 and McCauley 39 and 5 others in their 30,s think we will only get a few seasons out of most of these players the progrative is you’ve got a team that will push Celtic whatever the age then bring younger players on in next few seasons.

04 Jan 2019 14:49:02
McCauley contract runs out end of year, Davis still an excellent player still captain of the national team and Defoe is still very fit he looks after himself.

04 Jan 2019 14:54:36
Another way to look at it could be they will help to develop the youth within the club . Little tricks and turns they've learned, the intricacies that maybe we the average fan don't notice . How to conduct themselves proper regarding the media and how to look after themselves off the field.

04 Jan 2019 15:00:51
If we’re not going on about the sell on value of players or finances of club now age concern kicks in everyone will get plenty of game time as manager has shown let’s just enjoy these signings as said before SG needs two windows before being judged be happy 😆.

04 Jan 2019 15:17:19
I’m not concerned one bit!

The experience these guys bring to the group is invaluable!

04 Jan 2019 15:32:06
87. We need the experience, with experience we bring stability and calmness in my opinion with the players concerned. If they both do as much as mcgregor we would be delighted.

04 Jan 2019 15:36:48
Defoe will be great and a bit help to alfie assuming he stays
All about stopping 10 for now then worry about bringing youth through.

04 Jan 2019 16:30:12
we have a young core to our team already so a few experienced players could really help this team out i have no doubt Defoe an Davis will be good signings.
I also think we will be scouting around to find younger players especially a striker and will sign them in the summer when we have more funds available.

04 Jan 2019 19:01:25
The mankies wanted Defoe and we got him that’s good enough for
Me 👍🤪.

05 Jan 2019 03:20:50
Look at the influence Gary MacAllister had on Stevie G and his young teammates at the time at Liverpool and you will realise how important the blend can be. It’s all down to their legs and if the legs are still here at this level then they both will be tremendous additions. Boyd and Miller do ok at this level.

04 Jan 2019 13:46:37
Defoe through the middle with Kent and alfredo as inside forwards, tav and barsic as wing backs! can't wait to see that. our team is shaping up nicely. Celtic will need to spend big or fall behind simple as that to get players of the quality of Defoe and Davis would require 20 + million.

04 Jan 2019 14:21:00
Sounds a great team. Davis and Defoe not signed yet. Until its signed and sealed, then i can relax.

05 Jan 2019 03:24:38
This will be a problem but a good one to have obviously. Unless there is a formation change then I think it’s defoe or Morelos up top unless Morelos can drop back into the number 10 role, I’d hate to see him wide in a front 3. And Defoe will only be used as a centre fwd I think.

04 Jan 2019 13:44:56
Defoe, Here is the thing. Is SG going to play him ALONGSIDE Fredo or in place of? . He will not give the same workrate as Fredo if played as lone striker. Could be dynamite if 1 is played just off the other?

Alternatively, could we be looking to accept an offer for Fredo?

Interesting couple of weeks ahead.

04 Jan 2019 14:24:00
Would love to see Defoe play along side Morelos but my concern also, are they going to cash in on Morelos.

04 Jan 2019 14:47:56
In previous years, jelavic for example, never played before the window opened as he was getting sold. I think the fact he played in the old firm, and his reaction at the end suggests he is staying.

04 Jan 2019 15:55:49
Money offered for alfie will determine if he goes or not
That is the bottom line.

04 Jan 2019 10:12:53
Don’t know much about Glen Kamara is he a decent player? He’s at Dundee that doesn’t say much tbh. Will he improve our squad? He’s a midfielder I don’t think we need or at least we can get better. just my opinion please tell me if I am missing something here and he is infact a good player.?

04 Jan 2019 10:39:14
Was high hopes for him at arsenal at one point mate. I think it might be a precontract and he will take coulIbaly place in squad next year, similar types of players.

04 Jan 2019 10:39:58
Nacho Novo was at dundee cannigia was at dundee. What's your point?

04 Jan 2019 10:48:59
^^ Dundee were a much better team back then than they are now and struggle to get those calnibre of players in the door nowadays. hence why I said that. But like I said tell me if I’m missing something here haha. Obvs Gerrard sees something in him and going by what I’m reading it’s a pre contract so could be worth a it.

04 Jan 2019 10:53:27
Southend Rangers

Think when both of them were at Dundee they were a far better side though.

04 Jan 2019 11:04:04
so was bomber!

04 Jan 2019 11:10:48
I think he means that Dundee are doing particularly bad this season and therefore Kamara is contributing to that. Novo and Claudio played in Dundee teams that weren't all that bad from what I can remember, so that's a bit of a moot point.

04 Jan 2019 11:31:51
Ye Dundee were a better side but so were we think he’s as good as coubally.

04 Jan 2019 12:02:19
Andy Penman was at Dundee too, for the older Bears fans on here!

04 Jan 2019 12:13:19
Now there was a player.

04 Jan 2019 13:05:38
how many Kamaras play football -seems like hundreds.

04 Jan 2019 13:12:31
Kamara is in my opinion a tough tacking, no nonsense type of midfielder, yes he's playing at one of the worst teams in the league but he can't single handidly win games for the team, he is good and I expect him to become a fans favourite, I have actually wanted him to come to us.

04 Jan 2019 14:31:32
My dad was at Dundee with the likes of Billy Steel and Bobby Flavell. They had some team then.

04 Jan 2019 15:51:56
Kamara is an exciting fast midfielder and is at ease with the ball at his feet. Loves to attack and take men on at any given chance. As a Rangers player in the current line up, he is exactly the type of attacking midfielder that sets games alight. Get him in 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

05 Jan 2019 10:25:52
U watching the right guy? I'd say he's more box to box, or even defensive minded. He's certainly not an attacking midfielder mate.

05 Jan 2019 12:41:14
He is listed to be a defensive midfielder but I've spent a few weeks watching his videos and he looks a very fast and strong midfielder. He takes men on and sprays the ball around with considerable accuracy. He looks a steal in my opinion and i think he would not hesitate to burst into the box with a shot at goal. Things are starting to take shape and SG's new additions are looking ideal for a league title challenge. 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

05 Jan 2019 16:01:03
What I like is we r getting players in, will make a difference for euro qualifiers next season.

04 Jan 2019 10:01:49
I see Ryan Gould linked with loan move to Hibs. Surely he could be worth a punt until end of season. Still not seen us linked with a creative midfielder.

04 Jan 2019 11:29:45
Rangers will watch to see how much he has improved and if he holds up well I am sure Rangers will then look to try and buy in the summer. At least at hibs it gives Gerrard and the staff a chance to see how good he is.

04 Jan 2019 14:02:52
He can't be linked with a loan move to Hibs he's already on a season long loan with a clause to let him out if the loan if a top club comes in to buy him.

04 Jan 2019 09:51:54
Not trying to dampen the enthusiasm re Davis and Defoe, but until I see them in our famous colours I’m ’ keepin the heid’
Eddie Howe refused to be drawn on Defoe’s departure this morning . SSN.

04 Jan 2019 09:37:00
Our first two league games after the break are away to Kilmarnock and Livingston on plastic pitches. My strong view is that plastic pitches should not be allowed in the top tier of Scottish football. Perhaps they could/ should be allowed in the Championship and below but if teams in the Premiership need financial help to replace plastic with good old-fashioned turf then surely the SFA and Scottish government can help with grants or loans? Plastic pitches are a great leveller and are dangerous as Jamie Murphy found out. What are your thoughts Ed? A happy new year to you by the way and loving the site.

{Ed001's Note - I do not like plastic pitches, football should be played on grass where possible. They are very damaging to the joints.}

04 Jan 2019 14:13:34
Ed
Is there any plastic pitches in any professional leagues in England?

{Ed001's Note - they are not allowed in the EPL or EFL unless they have changed the rules for this season.}

04 Jan 2019 09:16:19
Great positivity coming out of our club and we all deserve this, as we've all been to hell and back over the last 6 years or so! We've got a model professional manager, now at the helm and he will, i have no doubt, go on to become a terrific manager for us, let's go steven gerrard! The signings we're making this transfer window already, are all good signings and will most definitely improve our squad and starting 11 in general. Steven davis will be our playmaker from deep, beside our defensive midfielder, ryan jack! Glen kamara is a strong tackling midfielder, with good technique and will also be a good signing.
Kamara remember has had a good youth grounding at the arsenal. Jermain defoe signing for us, speaks for itself. He's a fantastic goalscorer and will finish anything that comes his way, into the 18 yard box.
Defoe as an absolute goalscoring assassin!
Even at 36 years old now, his signing could take us very close to winning the league title, this year. His goals will be crucial for us. Now onto the last of our 4 january new signings to date. Kilmarnock winger jordan jones. Don't get me wrong here, i rate jones a very good
pacey, direct winger, but this might be the signing that unfortunately hints to us, that we just can't afford to keep ryan kent permanently, beyond his loan deal, this summer! That saddens me, as although jones is good, kent is a class above and i personally, would have preferred us to keep kent, on a permanent deal! So unfortunately,
it does look like kent will be going back to parent club liverpool, at the end of his loan deal, in the summer! The leeds utd signing kent permanently from liverpool for around £4million, could be true, right enough! Kent is a superb winger and i'll be sad to see him leave in the summer! But overall, we've already had an impressive january transfer window.
We're coming!

04 Jan 2019 10:31:05
Supercoop, cannot help admire your energy and genuine feeling for all things associated with our club. You don’t half come up with some nonsense sometimes (Pedro the next Jose Mournho) but no doubting you commitment to the cause. A belated happy new year to you sir.

04 Jan 2019 10:43:32
Reign it in coops, not one is officially signed yet mate. Think if we get Jones we might see midfleton getting loaned out next year, to get more gsme time. so woulent read too much into Kent situation because we've offered a deal to jones.

04 Jan 2019 10:48:14
Not seen much of the lad kamara but he has been playing in the league so will no what it is all about i think he will be couliabalys replacement.
I also think the same regarding Kent that Jones will be his replacement.

04 Jan 2019 11:56:08
Jones will be a good replacement for Kent ( if that’s the case ) he’s young and talented, I’ve seen him play for NI and was impressed, Stevie G will get the best from him, and Jones has always wanted a big platform, well they don’t come much bigger than Ibrox with 50,000 fanatical fans watching your every move. If he comes that’ll be four current NI players at the club, although I’m disappointed with big Lafferty, personally I expected more.

04 Jan 2019 12:55:06
I think the most obvious scenario is kamara and Jones are squad players to replace coulibaly and grezda.

04 Jan 2019 13:20:46
Predict Grezda will emerge as real talent in second half of the season. He was shocked at not making the Celtic match day squad and will respond.

04 Jan 2019 13:28:13
Grezda? He’s no going anywhere lol boys Just signed.

04 Jan 2019 13:32:56
Is Grezda going somewhere?

04 Jan 2019 13:47:46
Grezda was injured for Celtic game.

04 Jan 2019 09:01:47
If the subject in Sutton ‘s column wasn’t so serious it would be comical, the man is just a bigoted individual when it comes to Rangers, he writes so much rubbish it’s him making a fool of himself again, But he’ll never wise up, he just hasn’t got the brains.

04 Jan 2019 09:50:43
He should be taken to task on his comments, freedom of speech is one thing. But his comments could cause serious trouble and he should know better having lived and played in Scotland. How he can have a job in the media is beyond me, nothing to do with who he played for. Just his comments and lack of class .

04 Jan 2019 09:52:16
Read the headline and laughed. Couldn't bring myself to read the article.

04 Jan 2019 09:56:09
The concern is that this guy is paid to give his views on football.
Morelos was very lucky to stay on the pitch, each incident could have been a booking if the laws were applied in the most severe way.
If a straight red card had been given for any, it would have been another successful appeal, as per the laws of the game. It's disappointing that pundits here just don't understand the laws of the game.

04 Jan 2019 10:20:20
Sutton is now getting out of control his views are so one sided and biased I can't recall this level of vitriol when brown regularly "assaulted"players on the park with no action at the time or retrospectively
Did Sutton have such strong views then? no exactly
Farcical and poisoned points of view on this issue.

04 Jan 2019 10:56:06
Who cares what he says or writes the only place he is probably relevant is his house.

04 Jan 2019 11:59:34
ArthurD
I think you just wind us up in this site, by letting on your glum? At a guess I would say you’re quite the opposite?

04 Jan 2019 13:27:41
The easy way to react to chris mutton, is to just laugh at his comments! 😂His comments are of a deluded, twisted human being. The guy is an irrelevance, who wants fans to bite, with his crazy, most stupid of comments!

04 Jan 2019 08:21:15
Would love a punt on the boy shankland, low risk could learn a lot from morelos and defoe, with our supply into the box he could score plenty, n wouldn't be too big a dent in the transfer kitty, got too be worth a punt bears.

04 Jan 2019 08:07:16
Well done to dk and his board for our current standing and the signings made, and the potential for the future. Also, SG and his back up team for giving us back our pride and the potential to take us further.
Now it will be down to our players to complete the season with style and bring the title home.
I am still not a dk fan, but after the over indulgence of the festive period, a bit of humble pie will do me no harm.

04 Jan 2019 09:32:02
Great post Billyb, well said.

04 Jan 2019 10:45:43
Pretry much posted the same on rumours page Billyb, definately earned a reprieve and some respect back from me.

04 Jan 2019 13:48:07
Fair play BillyB and FB. 👏👍.

04 Jan 2019 07:29:11
Haha did anybody see jim white's reaction on sky sports absolute class je was trying to keep it together but the excitement was too much.
