A think murty on todays performance deserves a chance to put his name in the hat? Would Pedro C get that perfermance from the current squad? We would be promoting internally and saving cash = win win in ma opinion! What you think fellow bears? 🔴⚪️🔵

04 Mar 2017 23:52:02
I don't think we should be throwing our hat on Murty because we humped a honking accies side. only last wk everyone was slating him for bringing Garner on in the 91st min now we beat a really poor accies side 6-0 and we've got guys on here touting him for the big gig🤔

04 Mar 2017 23:50:48
Remember he said he's been getting assistance from someone though Bluenoze.

04 Mar 2017 23:16:31
Main thing I noticed is we finally put in a tea. performance twinned with a bit of luck wae ref decisions - But definitely major improvement since dropping the "main man (Halliday) " only my opinion, but any1 feel the same?

05 Mar 2017 00:23:48
Halliday has been rotten all season long and yes we played well in spells but still lack steel in midfield, also no garner for celtic so be same 11 but i'd like us to play with miller and waghorn closer together uptop (dont let them play from CBs) and mackay switching flanks (he gets stale whe constant left wing) he needs to drift across their back 4

04 Mar 2017 22:58:56
The big thing I noticed today was our effectiveness and movement at corners. What a change.

05 Mar 2017 00:35:11
Hamilton were poor defensively but we did try to mix it up which was refreshing to see! Although it should have happened all season

04 Mar 2017 23:43:04
We were more direct in general, Bluegenius, and as I've said so many times before, the stats that Warburton was so fond of were actually his problem. His possession stats were through the roof but with no end product. Now the possession stat is falling game by game because we're having more shots, more crosses, which create goals but naturally lead to less possession. Possession is totally meaningless. Goals count, nothing else.

05 Mar 2017 08:53:58
I was glad that Toral put in a great second half performance, but the midfield is also a HUGE area of concern. As much as i hate to say this, Broonie is going to bully them off the ball with ease. For me we have to put Halliday in for Holt against the tic for that little extra steel. I know he has been playing really crap recently. But i believe if you have both him and Toral offering protection the to defense and then Hyndman or Forrester offering the spark, we could get a result

05 Mar 2017 10:06:11
I wouldn't have Halliday anywhere near the team. Holt is not the answer for next season but he is young enough to improve. Halliday is a waste of a jersey, has a chip on his shoulder and will hopefully not be seen again in a Rangers jersey unless there is a fundamental change of attitude.

05 Mar 2017 10:32:36
Hey TOMUSA - i get your point, although I don't know where you have got the whole 'chip on shoulder' situation. He hasn't been playing well, but he has been playing out of position which has been obvious. Toral is also being deployed in that role right now, but with the mid 3 of Toral, Hyndman (who are 21 and 20 respectively) and the pint sized holt, We would be overrun in a heartbeat and kenny would be spending most of his time in the mid trying to dig in and help out. Halliday offers a little more bite and can offer a 'little' more experience in the middle of the park.

05 Mar 2017 10:53:55
I agree with you Teddy that if our midfield tries to battle it out with Brown we will lose but I also agree with TOMUSA in that Halliday is not the answer. He has played dreadfully for most of the season and was totally outplayed by Brown when we've played them this season. I'd stick with the current three but put Tav in with them and Hodson in at RB) . I'd also put McKay in midfield with them and Miller up front on his own. We're away to them so defend for our lives (nearly impossible for us I know! ) and either sneak a draw or a lucky win. If we try to match them reckon we"ll get hammered

04 Mar 2017 21:43:00
What if its pedro who is the myster advisor

05 Mar 2017 15:59:02
I'd personally have called Walter as he seems to be around Ibrox a lot recently. He's also been more vocal in the tabloids in recent weeks

04 Mar 2017 21:06:54
After today's game massive difference our passing and movement 100% better
Atleast we are now moving in the right direction just wish the tic game was three weeks away. I will be happy with a draw next week but over the moon with a win.

04 Mar 2017 19:39:25
Ok fellow bears, great result today, thought team played excellent today, Ok we were lucky not to get cpl of players sent off, at end of the day you play to what the ref decides, take the positive out of gam 6 goals our big signing getting a ha trick clean sheet, as a say stay positive, all will be good that am POSITIVE OFF,

04 Mar 2017 19:17:47
I would love for the team to keep this mentality and use the confidence gained from today.

Garner passionate as ever from what I've read, I missed the game as I was out in Oxford!

Brilliant result, I think we'll end up with Hibs in the semi-final.

04 Mar 2017 17:20:52
When is keirnans appeal heard? Is he available for celtic game or is it heard this week? i'd have liked to have seen wilson play today as I think he looks so unfit and we may need to use him against celtic! Just hope senderos doesn't come in.

04 Mar 2017 18:17:17
Perhaps he'll give bates a try?

04 Mar 2017 18:57:08
Doubt it! I like wilson but he's injury prone and he's type if he misses a few game he loses fitness fast

04 Mar 2017 17:05:07
Great result today! But more importantly a good solid performance. It's been a long time coming. Hopefully the team can press on now. Make up the gap on Aberdeen and try and get us a trophy this season. All is not lost.

04 Mar 2017 15:53:00
Anyone else think we are going to end up drawing hibs in this semi final its a certain too after what happened last time we met them at hampdump

04 Mar 2017 19:02:57
I just want another shot at the final

04 Mar 2017 19:41:49
I've been thinking the same Scott

04 Mar 2017 15:11:57
For the first time in a while the players all seemed to understand their individual roles.

I think this is partly due to Haliday not playing. Him running around the park like a headless chicken hasn't helped anyone.

04 Mar 2017 16:43:24
Watching Toral today he showed he is more disciplined than Halliday in the holding role and his positional sense and going with runners was far better. By his own admission it's a new position for him however he seems to be adapting to it well. May need to toughen up for next week a bit but things looking better for second spot

04 Mar 2017 16:55:52
Not only did the players understand their roles but there was more team spirit. A lot of this has to be down to Murty but Halliday's commission is certainly improving things!

04 Mar 2017 18:27:55
Naw we played well because miller went off at half time and couldn't give the ball away. It showed how much he stifles our play.

04 Mar 2017 19:59:11
Nope first half we were poor then miller went off and we started to flow.

04 Mar 2017 19:20:39
Need to replace Holt did nothing as usual and too easily knocked off the ball. Played well today but can't play the same midfield next week

04 Mar 2017 14:50:27
We won 6-0 and live chat is going on about we should be playing Crooks. I now believe there is a parallel universe in play.

04 Mar 2017 15:15:11
No one said we should be playing him as he's out on loan lol what I said was is murty might have been the man too give the guy a chance as I've noticed he has used holt toral and hydman in dm please quote correctly next time

6-0 was the final score but everyone seems too have brushed over the fact that Hamilton had dominated for about 15 mins before the penalty and we where lucky. It too be A man down let's not get carried away with this result next thing people will be on saying we can beat the mankys next week

04 Mar 2017 15:23:11
I think the team have mixed things up abit more last couple of games to our benefit, been more direct and moving the ball quicker! Dropping halliday has worked the three in midfield are much better ball players which is ok but we will need more presence in there in coming matches, that's where crooks could have came into play if he was still here! Still think celtic will bully holt and hyndman!

04 Mar 2017 19:29:11
Frustratedbear
How can you say we were lucky after winning 6-0, crazy. And what does "it to be A man down" mean?

04 Mar 2017 19:59:33
Sorry for the typo I tried too say "we where lucky not to be a man down"

the fact fod didn't get caught handling the ball outside helped us as we would have been a man down an we would have had too take a forward off for Alnwick

sorry seems like being negative and taking away from the performance was a good team performance Today and they can only play the game as it goes and for a change it went for us so fair play as there was a few well improved players in the team today

04 Mar 2017 19:49:06
My mate watched Crooks in a few 20s games and thought he was lacking in the courage department. That was the opinion of other onlookers too seemingly.

04 Mar 2017 13:30:40
Here's one for the conspiracy theorists lol, walter smith in the studio today, do you think he's just here as sky's guest or do you think there is another reason he might be at the game today? 😉.

{Ed033's Note - For you conspiracy researchers, our talk conspiracy site is back up.

04 Mar 2017 15:17:46
Really pleased for Graeme Murty going out on a high if that was his last game a decent guy who done his best in a thankless job.

04 Mar 2017 15:44:11
thought keirnan had a decent game today. even though hamilton didn't offer much against us
players look like they are getting confidence back as well
murty has nothing to lose and maybe is letting the players have more fredom to change it on the pitch themselves, i'm sure miller, hill, wallace can use they're experience to do this
plus barrie mckay playing in behind miller could be useful? . thought he found and used the space well?

04 Mar 2017 18:15:01
Why not ed? After all huistra was at ibrox on wed night and some had him odds on for a job😄

{Ed033's Note - My reply was not a reply to you, i was just stating our conspiracy site is now back.

04 Mar 2017 18:28:41
Well we got away with fods handball maybe that's the referees way of saying sorry for chopping a goal off and denying us a stone wall penalty on Wednesday.

04 Mar 2017 19:19:46
It was radio clyde on the way home from ibrox today, that walter smith clearly stated to the media that in his opinion rangers should go all out to appoint derek mcinnes as our new manager! Hugh keevins actually then said does walter know something here by saying this for everyone to hear!

04 Mar 2017 19:59:34
So garner scores a hat trick and u still want the pensioner up top?

04 Mar 2017 14:24:56
We don't need a new manager just get a director of football to work with murty till end of season! It has been a long time since I've seen such a display from Rangers! Loved every minute of that. Defending was first class. We looked dangerous in attack and scored 6 goals. The players are playing for murty let him guide the team until the end of the season.

04 Mar 2017 14:37:46
Certainly a better performance today, and a clean sheet. Next week will take care of itself, but hopefully after today's result, the team will start putting in better performances, and finish the season on a relative high. Not going to get carried away after one game though. Foderingham and Garner were lucky to stay on.

04 Mar 2017 14:43:25
It's not going to happen, murty will be replaced possibly Monday.

04 Mar 2017 17:01:23
A lot of the credit for the improvement has to go to Murty. He has the players fighting to secure results, there is a lot more team spirit and togetherness and slowly but surely the team is coming together.

He has also seems to be happy to drop players that are not performing and the removal of Halliday is having a major positive effect on the team.

Encouraging to see improved performances from a number of players.

04 Mar 2017 19:47:42
Agreed Murty needs to be given a shout. Team was a mess before. He has galvanised and with the 'secret advisor' in the go gor it. Give us time to get DOF in and proper planning. Pedro seems like a gamble. Canna afford that

04 Mar 2017 14:20:44
I really can't understand or get the slightest bit excited by the Portuguese guy that has been linked (heavily) to our managers job, we need to make a statement of intent and u don't have to spend a fortune to do so, but Pedro caixhina? really? . Out of the candidates mentioned, the one who I personally think would be the best fit for us would be Gary Rowett, he did a fabulous jobnot only at bBirmingham where he was disgracefully sacked but also at Burton Albion, living down in England and also following Fleetwood Town, I get to see a lot of football outside of the premier league and Rowetts sides have always played good, attacking, attractive football, his age is also a bonus as i'm sure if funds (remember them) are made available to the man given the job then they would stick around for a while because let's face it there isn't many clubs bigger and prouder than ours.

04 Mar 2017 14:44:37
Not very excited either but I will give him a chance, as will every other fan.

04 Mar 2017 14:07:55
If Pedro is to be new coach, I say we give him a chance and get behind him and the team. I don't know much about the guy tbh, I am reading on here that he only stays for 18 months / 2 years. I don't think this is an issue, If he can come in sort out our team and if he leaves after so long, hopefully he leaves a solid foundation for the next guy coming in! Let's face it guys, we can't get any worse!

04 Mar 2017 19:23:37
Fleetwoodbear 100% correct. Get Gary Rowett. Outstanding manager

04 Mar 2017 12:19:58
Don't know this pedro guy, but let's get behind him if and when he's appointed. don't buy into all this guff bout needing a British manager

04 Mar 2017 18:14:35
Our last manager took a team from league 1 into the championship and was a game away from the Prem League and we all wanted shot of him so success elsewhere or lack of success goes for nothing when you start a new job so let's get behind the new gaffer whoever he may be

04 Mar 2017 10:51:04
Baffled that dodoo can't even get in the squad. the guy is got allot of quality won us the game away to partick with 2 great finishes.

04 Mar 2017 11:39:54
Might have taken his foot off the gas in training, who knows? There are a few baffling things and they go back months and the absence of youth players who should be good enough for cover for our centre back and defensive mid are two of them. I accept that much of the squad is average but surely our development team could have provided a bit of hope.

04 Mar 2017 13:32:50
Play Dodoo and we will see goals

04 Mar 2017 18:41:28
He's rank rotten, one of our worst buys ever. Won't go near an opposition player and won't pass. Says a lot about him when forrester and moh are above him on the pecking order

05 Mar 2017 00:49:28
Rank rotten? aye Forrester is. its the managers that are clueless.
