first time user guys so be gentle after I say this but don’t you think Gordon Strachan would be a good shout because he’s a good manager and he’d be able to attract a good caliber of player

04 Nov 2017 22:13:43
Calibre. And no

04 Nov 2017 22:15:43
Good Saturday night noise up 😂

04 Nov 2017 23:27:35
For me He is a good manager but the fact he has already managed them it's just a massive no no no go lol

05 Nov 2017 00:19:12
I know that there have been Players that have crossed the divide but Managers I just don't think that will happen.

05 Nov 2017 11:36:07
Thats you been corrected. And told.

04 Nov 2017 20:34:02
Good to see Miller and Candeias celebrating together like best pals today. Candeias brought in by PC and Miller exiled by PC. Looks like the squad are relieved he's gone and are all playing with a huge weight off their shoulders. Credit to Murty for giving them the platform they need to go and play stress-free.

04 Nov 2017 20:52:40
100m% agree I worried last week at the hearts game when miller pushed candeias away after his second goal as I also noticed he changed direction away from Herrera who wanted too celebrate with miller but I watched closely at the end of the hearts game and seen them hug but today's celebration helped ease my worries about they two

but time will tell with miller and Herrera if miller is being off with other players then I would call for him too be dropped as now more than ever we need a togetherness and a new manager who comes in might not let this happen and will drop miller himself

Finger crossed I'm worried about nothing

05 Nov 2017 11:33:55
Miller hugged a Mexican, The Ranjurs are back! 😂😂

05 Nov 2017 11:34:46
Yeh your thinking too far into it mate. You could see miller was buzzing and just wanted to keep running and celebrate near the fans.

05 Nov 2017 11:44:44
I noticed the incident with Herrera also so here’s hoping miller was just caught up in the moment

04 Nov 2017 18:44:42
Really hope what i'm hearing is not true, please we do not need moyles.

04 Nov 2017 19:02:47
Cant see it mate, he wouldn't want the hassle plus he's got a cushy wee number on Radio X

04 Nov 2017 21:02:09
At least Chris Moyles is not David Unsworth size anymore. can't have a fat manager or joey Barton will be slagging us on talk radio. Yes, he's gone from being a fat w##@*er to a thin one has Chrissy boy. No to him, and no to tony the tiger face Moyes as well

04 Nov 2017 22:03:33
Tony the tiger face! 😂. give us Mcinnes and get wee Fergie in as part of the backroom and we’re good to go

04 Nov 2017 23:03:10
I Really can't see it being moyes I really can't and I really really hope it is not.

04 Nov 2017 18:03:09
Watched the full game today. Great 3 points and first half was tremendous. Second half fell away and again around the 65 minute point we really switched off and started to be second to every 1st and 2nd ball. Thistle were never going to win but the guys game management must improve from 60 minutes on otherwise better teams will really test us. We are still in touching distance from 1st/ 2nd with a stuttering start and loosing our manager, does that show how pish the league is or how underrated we are?

04 Nov 2017 18:29:57
The competition has definitely stepped up this season, it’s very close at the top half. Pity it wasn’t like that last season and they may never have went on a run as long as this.

04 Nov 2017 18:36:15
I agree with what you say TJBB, I watched it as well, and they just seemed to stop playing after the third goal and invited thistle back into it. A team with more quality than them might have taken advantage of that. Still its another three points, and I'm impressed with the way graham murty sets the team up, we just need to start playing that pressing game for 90 minutes.

04 Nov 2017 18:45:49
Was at the game and agree, that's when an experienced manager would make a change when things go slightly flat . Not critising Murty at all, just an observation . He did make changes however just for me a little too late to keep momentum going. Big Niko slowed things down as well but good result over all.

04 Nov 2017 19:08:10
When you’ve won the game early doors that usually happens. even the best managers/ teams in the world have the same problem when they’re so far ahead. we moan when we scrape by these teams and we moan when we blitz them😂

04 Nov 2017 19:23:43
SG34. Nobody here is moaning, read the posts. A better team may have pegged us back, i'm guessing you don't watch the games as its a definite problem for us at the moment. We did not blitz them, we should have blitzed them 5 or nil if we kept it up for the 90. You don't see top teams switching off at 60 mins, which is why they are top teams.

04 Nov 2017 19:24:20
If we were 2nd to the 2nd ball. does that mean we were 4th to it? 🤔🤔

04 Nov 2017 20:10:36
TJBB i do go to the games mate and if you’re saying top teams don't switch off when they’re well ahead then i take it u don't watch much football. i might have used the wrong term when i said “blitz” but we were 3-0 up after 47mins and its effectivley game over, its only human nature the tempo drops.

04 Nov 2017 21:51:37
There is a difference between switching off and letting a mediocre team take control of the game for 25 minutes at Ibrox in front of 50,000 fans. If you couldn't see the change in our team at the 65 min point in the last few games then I can't rely debate with you.

04 Nov 2017 22:08:25
Of course i seen it mate but we’re 3-0 up for goodness sake. look at the amount of games the mhankys have won 3 and 4-1 after being up and cruising. we’ll agree to disagree TJBB because i know we both only want the best for our team👍

05 Nov 2017 10:24:09
Absolutely my friend.

05 Nov 2017 11:26:08
Rsngets. Stop all the big name recruitement nonesense. Appoint Murty. If not Rangers will pay either a release clause for a manager or a big salary with no significant improvement under a new manager. Murty will do as well as anyone. Give him the job.

05 Nov 2017 11:29:30
SG34 the problem is those at the peak of their powers don't do that. If you're winning 3-0 after 47 minutes you should be chasing a 6-0 win to give your rivals food for thought and to build the confidence and arrogance a top team needs, especially when you are where we are right now.

04 Nov 2017 17:16:37
One thing that we may see more of whilst Murty is in charge is the use of some of our Development Squad albeit from the bench.

04 Nov 2017 18:19:49
The man is a breathe of fresh air. Comes across as a very likeable guy in his pressers unlike the previous idiot who felt the need to give the journos some embarrassing comment or other.

I'm confident Murty in his first three games will achieve what Caxinha couldn't achieve in seven months at Ibrox.

Three straight wins.

04 Nov 2017 17:09:56
Bears. For me we MUST hire a British Manger and I think that most would agree.
If were going for a Scot its either McInnes or Wright the other candidates for me are Coleman or Redknap. There are others that you could add to the list. McInnes and Wright are obvious choices and as for Coleman and Redknapp I feel that both understand just what Rangers are all about.
I really do think that Wright is sorely underestimated and its between him and McInnes for me.

04 Nov 2017 17:29:07
Tommy Wright? As in the Northern Irish Tommy Wright? I would have said he would be a good shout a few weeks back but I think the players and Murty have a mutual trust and respect with each other and I would happily see him in the role continuing.

04 Nov 2017 17:58:02
Seeing the westbrom fans booing and wanting pulis out if he does get sacked he would be a good appointment.

04 Nov 2017 16:20:26
I’ve thought of a few managers that I think could do a job and it seems to me now that Murty must get it because the guy has something about him and seems to be able to get the best out of what he’s got and if I’m being honest the only other guy I’ve seen do this is Walter Smith so in my opinion we need to forget about anyone else and give it to him

04 Nov 2017 19:26:55
I fear that if Murty got the job and the performances dropped then the board wouldn't give him time and he would be gone. He appears to be a very good coach whom the okayers resopond to. I think it would be better for the club that he stayed a coach, possibly moving to the 1st team, so we don't lose out on his ability.

04 Nov 2017 13:46:25
I've just watched murty presser. the more interviews I watch of him the more I like him. he holds himself very well and i can tell the media respect him also. it's totally different from the way they spoke to Pedro. now I'm not saying murty should be the next gaffer all I'm saying is he's a very likeable person who I think the players like him also. murty is a safe pair of hands until the club make their decision on who they want as the next manager.

04 Nov 2017 14:21:52
Alves on the bench! Talk abt Murty being his own man👏👏

04 Nov 2017 14:32:45
Alves out for danny Wilson what a joke I'm all for sticking with a winning side but Alves has to start with mcorie come on!

04 Nov 2017 15:44:09
Look like they need valves yet

04 Nov 2017 15:57:28
Murty is a future Rangers manager? Why not take a chance now? The players respect and listen to him. Ok we may not get all the results we as fans want but I would give him until the end of the season and see how he does. If he does well give him the job!

04 Nov 2017 20:01:39
why would it be ok for murty not to get the results we want when it wasnt ok for PC? strange comment

04 Nov 2017 12:07:08
Why is it that when someone on here claim Moyes is a rangers fan suddenly everyone thinks he’d be a great appointment for us he’s been managing for near 20 years and won nothing hate to keep banging on about big Eck but even he won a cup in England with i p**h Birmingham side knows Rangers and Scottish football inside out he should be miles ahead of Moyes in the running for the job and I think he should have MURTY as his number 2 show him the ropes for a couple seasons and the let him take over cause I believe Murty deserves a chance at some point just maybe not quite ready yet.

04 Nov 2017 12:32:03
How many trophies had Rodgers won and what was his win ratio before he went to the bin shed?

04 Nov 2017 13:00:10
If it was the Everton era Moyes then he would be a good choice but I do t think he has ever recovered from Man U.

04 Nov 2017 13:34:07
didnt big Eck rule himself out last time it was up for begs

04 Nov 2017 13:39:06
I would happily take Moyes. He might have won nothing but in England it's all about the league and resting players in cup competitions. Most years he had Everton in higher positions that most expected.

Saying that, I stuck a tenner on Graeme Murty as next manager myself this morning. 12/ 1 but that will likely be cut after a win for us today.

04 Nov 2017 13:40:51
moyes failed at man utd as well as in spain and he also got sunderland relegated

he hasn’t managed for some time now and his knowledge of SPL will be very limited at best

why anyone thinks he should be considered baffles me

any football everton did play under him tended to be long balls up to the likes of fellainin and for me was dire

just my opinion bears

04 Nov 2017 13:49:45
I don't get why so many people slate big eck. I. ll tell you one thing if big eck came back to rangers we would start to win trophies again. of that I'm certain. but it won't be him it will be mcinnes

04 Nov 2017 13:52:51
Rodgers nearly won the EPL with Liverpool and by the way has been in management half the time Moyes has but he doesn’t concern me, I want a manager with winning credentials not someone that’s won nothing and failed miserably at his last 3 clubs

04 Nov 2017 14:22:50
Nearly? Hahaha

05 Nov 2017 10:02:14
Highland Bear is a man who speaks a lot of sense. Eck won 7 or 8 trophies first time without anywhere near the money Dick got. He has won a cup in England and did really well with Scotland with a poor squad. And he is not working at the moment. Eck and the likes of Murty/ Rae/ Ferguson.

And he is still comparatively young and used to giving the dark side a doing on quite a few occasions. How people don't think all that stacks up is very difficult for me to comprehend. With the time rattling on I suspect that Eck will not get the job and whoever does get it will get my support. I just think we have missed the boat to bring stability to the club when it is crying out for it in favour of another hopeful appointment

05 Nov 2017 11:21:45
Nearly? You mean he didn’t

04 Nov 2017 09:13:14
If the press and rumours are to be believed then it's between McInnes and Moyes. McInnes will cost us 800k, Moyes nothing.
Moyes will demand a bigger salary and budget than McInnes.
Walter Smith heavily backs McInnes and Sir Alex did likewise for Moyes with Man Utd job.
Both have had some success with clubs and yet haven't set the heather alight.
Personally I think it should be one of these guys but I can't decide which I'd prefer. This next appointment may be one of the biggest in clubs history, it's got to be right, we are skint and the thought of Celtic doing 10 would be torture.
Thoughts guys.

04 Nov 2017 09:25:52
Moyes for Rangers and then mcinnes can take the scotland job!

04 Nov 2017 09:29:54
Its a hard 1 Scotty, i think Mcinnes is the “safer” option and we know he's built a good side at beating the rest at least. on the flip side we have Moyes whos managed at the highest level imaginable (epl&la liga) . and before anyone jumps the gun, Man U was always going to be a big ask after Sir Alex and Sunderland are a basket case of a club then he went and tried his hand and failed in Spain which is no embarrasment. so that's my case for both of them Scotty

04 Nov 2017 09:35:36
none of those two would stop 10 in a row, serial losers, we have to have someone with a winning mentality and not be frightened by the opposition as clearly mcinnes is with cetic it will end in tears with them two

04 Nov 2017 10:04:46
I'd go for Billy reid his Hamilton accies side performed well above their weight. Gus poyet mentioned this morning too great player would be interesting as a manager. Billy reid though knows the British game and now the Scandinavian game too done well everywhere, where mcinnes and moyes have not plus I know all three were rangers men, moyes played for them mcinnes has been snidey about us in the press over the last few years, Billy reid would jump at the chance. Let's face it moyes would make us hard to score against but equally as hard for us to score and very hard to watch, mcinnes is in two minds well we are not a club to be in two minds about we are rangers the most successful club in the world so go for the guy who wouldn't hesitate and would give us good football, known for bringing on youth and a rocket up the arse to those lagging. Billy reid all the way

04 Nov 2017 10:44:20
Van bronckhurst for me

04 Nov 2017 13:32:24
I would make an approach for harry redknapp brilliant manager and the only man that can take on Brendan Rodgers with the finances we have available

04 Nov 2017 13:41:13
Mcinnes all day. The sheep board gave him buttons to spend but look what he has done for them. With the right support, structure and finances behind him he will make a good job of it. He knows Scottish football and what we are all about and will be able to attract the likes of Moult, Shinnie, Maclean and others to strengthen the team in a short time.
