I read an article saying that the young latvian was trying to get more money than we were willing to offer so the deal was on hold. not sure if that is true though.

Defo think souttar should be signed up, the young boy was solid at CB over the last few years and showed maturity well beyond his age. Granted Utd are poor this year however with W&W coaching and bit of confidence I think the young lad would flourish. Having said that I do think that an experienced CB is a must. Kieran and wilson look lost at times and in the SPL we would be punished. Perhaps the summer would be best to look at that and see how kieran and wilson develop until then. A strong CF I think is a must also.
Don't know much about the latvian lad but his goals to games speak for itself. Breath of fresh air talking transfers who are exciting instead of wondering what has been's we'll be signing. Finally, just watched the agm on you tube. I think dave king, the board, W&W, the backroom staff and of course the players should get a standing ovation and the backing from us. They deserve it imo. We have a blueprint and a philosophy that should be admired. Yes the saga with fat ashley is a drain and the funding raised to pay him back will have the king doubters up in arms. Its not a lone saviour we need, we need to all stand together and work together (fans, board, staff etc) . I think king and co have proved beyond doubt that they will fight to defend our club.

Definitely agree with you Cee. He covers 2 position we need cover in at CB and DM, he is one of the best young Scottish prospects in the division and has over 2 seasons of experience at such a tender age. for me he should be a priority target for us as a club.
