The man to ask about O'Halloran is Supercooper so ant truth in this one mate!

06 Jan 2017 08:35:54
Supercooper why has he no left foot?

06 Jan 2017 22:01:02
Bongo i do know that moh is very disappointed that he's not started more games as he works his socks off in training. He most certainly is desperate to stay at rangers and make it work!

07 Jan 2017 09:45:00
Apparently MOH has asked for a move due to lack of game time. MW has said that he would let him move on but the board will not. Maybe they want him in the shop window to recoup the transfer fee paid. Sounds like they want him in the team but MW doesn't. That's what I've heard from a friend of the family. Maybe Supercooper will confirm this?

05 Jan 2017 20:52:48
how long is garner going to be out for? think were a bit light upfront. a lot of rumours flyng around about lafferty coming back who i think would score goals for us as we are creating a lot of chances but lack a natural goal scorer.

05 Jan 2017 23:56:47
I wouldn't say lafferty is a natural goal scorer tho

06 Jan 2017 08:35:33
He would atheist score the simple ones and gives is a big aerial threat.

06 Jan 2017 09:30:42
3 months

05 Jan 2017 20:21:32
Berahinio has not got the right attitude to play for our club. Look what happened with joey Barton. Let's move on and talk about more realistic transfers. If rangers get an offer for keirnan I hope we put the money towards signing John soutar. I really think this lad can go on to become an exceptional cb for club and country.

05 Jan 2017 21:34:34
Berahino would be the best player in Scotland. More chance of Rangers singing Sadie from bingo than Saido Berahino.

06 Jan 2017 09:32:54
We'll said Spoc, some people just don't get it, we don't have money at the minute, but we will, I just think it will be after Ashley is gone, and that could be another few yrs yet

06 Jan 2017 22:32:12
What happened with Joey Barton is an embarrassment. Shafted by the manager for having a go at Halliday! I wonder how many of our support are now starting to believe that Barton was right! Still wondering if it was Warburton's decision to get rid or whether he was just being a Yes man for his Chairman!

05 Jan 2017 19:41:08
Anybody know when the Red Bull Leipsig game is and if live on RTV?

05 Jan 2017 20:31:50
Gd game is Sunday 15th Jan, not sure if it's on RTV but can probably get a link for it through Kodi (or whatever streaming source you use)

05 Jan 2017 20:37:50
Fd 15th Jan, don't know about tv but heard we have sold 8k tickets not including overseas fans.

06 Jan 2017 10:55:20
Thanks guys, also received email from club this morning. RTV don't have UK rights for the game, sold to Premier Sports.

05 Jan 2017 19:38:46
Feeling so underwhelmed at the calibre of players we have signed or been linked to. When king got control of club he stated rangers will have to live with in its means long term but not short term because serious investment was needed in team to compete with Celtic but the investment is just not their or ever will be with king.

06 Jan 2017 09:34:39
When will people realise it's not the board that's holding us back, it's Mike Ashley and his pals, can people not see this

06 Jan 2017 22:35:00
Perhaps King should have kept his mouth shut rather than consistently promising funds for transfers that are not forthcoming! Perhaps he is now finding that the Three Bears are getting wise to him and they won't put any more funds into the Club until he either puts up or shuts up. He is more full of Bullshit than David Murray!

05 Jan 2017 19:32:44
So what's the update ppl.

05 Jan 2017 18:18:46
Yeah berahino would be massive to pull off, but if we where to get him and if he was to have a good rest of the season we could be looking at 20 million which I feel would be massive because, Celtic took a gamble with moussa and has paid off because of half a season he has literally had a good half season and look at his price now, I think it's a joke personally but if we gamble a bit like them it could put are funds right back up, worth the gamble if u ask me.

05 Jan 2017 18:34:35
Huh?

05 Jan 2017 18:54:53
there is more chance of 1 2 3 4 5 6 coming out in the lottery on saturday than there is of him signing for rangers as i have stated before quite simply we do not have the money to buy anyone i firmly believe that dave king is looking for a way out of ibrox and if he can get a half way decent offer for the club he will be off. i don't think he realised just how much trouble the club was in before he came in. i am sickened by what is going on and can see no end in sight soon.

05 Jan 2017 19:19:26
Headline from Tonights Evening Times (kid you not)

East End in lockdown as emergency services tackle source of 'smell'

05 Jan 2017 20:11:31
Jamesrielly Dave King does not own the club. He ownes about 11% of it. He has loans of about £3mill tied up in the club so he is still owed that money regardless if he stays or goes. The club can't be sold by anyone. It can be bought but only if the purchaser can buy enough shares. I don't know if many Rangers supporters actually understand about the structure of the club and the problems the current structure brings re investment.

05 Jan 2017 20:14:06
Lay off the shrooms.

05 Jan 2017 18:09:30
The young lad from Arsenal is apparently a very good player and I'm excited to see the creatitivity he's going to bring, however, I'm gutted it's just a loan deal! Celtic are bringing in signings to add to a squad better than what we have and it looks likely that they will be offered 20m+ for dembele which will be invested into first XI starters. King has to do all he can to end this Cashley deal and/ or get another investor ASAP. MW has zero chance of closing the gap and I strongly believe no manager could.
Second in league is best we can hope for in current situation .

05 Jan 2017 18:06:17
Why was there sports direct advertising at the old firm. I thought we were not advertising them anymore . We need to speak to EFL about him owning Newcastle and some of rangers that was supposed to be a wrong doing but not heard anything from that.

05 Jan 2017 19:23:44
Is it him or sports direct who own our shares? and would that make a difference to dual ownership rules?

05 Jan 2017 21:36:34
I think the EFL know Ashley has rangers shares.

05 Jan 2017 17:11:50
How many players will we sign in January? We Should be looking at long term rather than loans? I think a striker has become more needed but would still like to see 2 good defenders.

05 Jan 2017 17:50:49
I personally think we will sign two creative midfielders and a striker possibly on loan!

05 Jan 2017 18:09:51
One things for shure yous won't be doing a mo jo and getting our star striker this time lol bidding starting whell more than your clubs worth quite sad really.

05 Jan 2017 18:46:57
20 million straight into Peter *lawells back pocket lol.

05 Jan 2017 19:24:31
Yeah I'd agree with three. Two mf and a fw.

06 Jan 2017 22:40:08
If we are lucky we will sign one player on Loan and we might be really lucky and sign a player on a pre contract agreement. We need three players now, ideally at least one on a permanent contract and we could do with a couple of quality players signed on pre-contract agreements.

Deep down I reckon we will all be very surprised if we sign any quality players!

05 Jan 2017 16:20:16
Is he after a striker?

05 Jan 2017 15:16:47
Mark W is definitely out his depth very naive tactics and a totally unfit squad! Let's be honest these are "basics" if you can't get these right you have no hope! His purchases have also mainly been a total waste of money! The manks are beatable the first 20 mins they were on the rack but Appalling defencive schoolboy errors and running out of steam after 20 mins is a disgrace!

05 Jan 2017 17:06:44
Think we might have another troll.

05 Jan 2017 18:23:00
We are in the top 3 after being at rock bottom cumon a bit more posotivity! We were never gona milk it in 1 attempt, majority of us know that.

05 Jan 2017 19:35:00
It's funny how at the start of the season plenty of people on here were confident that we could give Celtic a run for their money now a lot of people seem to be backtracking. Same with the manager who said that 2nd is nowhere for a club like Rangers and now seems bemused why fans are upset about the big gap. Barton, Kranjcar and Rossiter were not brought in just to challenge for 2nd place. This season has shown just how much out this depth Warburton is and players like Tavernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Holt, Halliday, Forrester, Waghorn and Garner aren't even good enough for Rangers. While O'Halloran and Dodoo haven't been given a fair chance to prove themselves while others seem to be automatic picks. It's a sad state of affairs when your best players are a 38 year old and a 37 year old.

05 Jan 2017 20:41:46
What absolute load of tosh.

05 Jan 2017 10:49:50
Guys I have been reading the posts and replies that have been getting posted and I just don't get this hatred for DK or why people are screaming out for signings that will either be high wage bills, high signing fees or both.
If it wasnt for DK where would we be now?
DK is not going to invest while ashley is still in the fold and I don't see them getting any invesment outwith, while that money grabber owns our badge and retail.

We need European football and we missed our chance last year. But aslong as Ashley is in the fold, I can't see anything improving. Our fan base is HUGE the loss on retail must be such a drain for the club.

Would you invest?

Also while everything with him is ongoing I don’t think DK can say much as it could easily turn against him and become liable.
So if we can't get cash injections we won't be spending money. Spending money we don’t have is where we got into problems before and it should never get to that situation again. If we are stuck with only being able to afford loan players of free transfers then I am happy with that until we get rid of Ashley and start getting into Europe, even then I hope we don’t go silly with spending on players, but it will take time probably a long time.

I would just prefer IF any players do come in that they are young not players past there sell by date.

05 Jan 2017 12:03:46
Fintytint I agree but you're pissing in the wind trying to talk sense or remind some people on here.

05 Jan 2017 12:21:33
the problem is with david king he has made certain statements and yet to back any of them up with actions he would have better coming into the club and saying we are not going to invest till all off feild troubles where sorted and we would be living withing our means and our going to look to the acedemy for players but he never he said he would personally bankroll us to compete with celtic this season and next and that he wants european football if we do get it its pointless because with this squad of players we will strugle to get threw first qualifying rounds i do think the manager has made quite a lot of wrong signings so this will make david king wary of investing more cash aswell for transfers.

05 Jan 2017 13:25:28
I don't pretend to know much about this side of our club, but weren't there other people/ consortiums vying for control of the club at the same time as King?

I'm not having a go at King (I won't criticise what I don't fully understand) but am I wrong in saying if it weren't King then one of the other interested parties would've stepped in and perhaps, perhaps have put in proper investment as opposed to soft loans

I may be wrong but that's how it looks to me and is why I don't understand all the "where would we be without King" posts.

05 Jan 2017 14:20:09
I personally can't remember any other 'real' backers, there were plenty of pretenders, but I could be wrong.
I think people seem to be forgetting quickly about where we were before king appeared.
All the fans were crying out for someone who supported the club to take over. The only one who fell into that category and made an actual move for the club was king.

05 Jan 2017 14:25:17
Nobody is going to put in serious investment when the charlatans who used to run the club remain as substantial shareholders.

These people do not have Rangers interests at heart and will do everything possible to stifle DK and any other inver story that might come along.

SD could make much more money be renegotiating a kit deal that works for both the club and them but they choose to stick by the fraudulent deal signed by the Old board. why would they do that?

Once the contract situation is sorted and DK can issue new shares without offering to those with no interest in success, there will be more chance of attracting serious investors. until then, DK and the other board members will risk their £m's by handing over soft loans to keep the club moving forward.

Remember, if the club were to go down again, those soft loans would never be repaid.

05 Jan 2017 16:03:02
BR65.re SD why should he come to any agreement he is doing ok and if it wasn't for king's attitude to him he might have been more keen to deal. and it is only people on here that claim the deal is fraudulant. if it was i am sure there would be a lot more urgency to have it nullified by the oh so righteous board we have at present. i suspect and fear that the deal is watertight and will have to be honoured by king and thus no major investment in the near future.
Also if king has so much support why did resolution 11 fai?

05 Jan 2017 16:22:14
Completely agree BR65.

05 Jan 2017 16:37:51
I'm not going to pretend to know the ins and outs of all the business side of the club but one thing I will say is that so ft Dave king seems to have done what he's said he would, he's come in and not only saved our club but kept it run as reasonably as possible under the circumstances.

And as far as investing in players fans were told before the season that MW would have a budget of £5 million, and if you add up the outright money spent with the wages that these new signings have cost then I think you'll find it'd be about £5 million.

And yes he has every right to be asking for a place in Europe next year as we have debatably the second biggest/ best/ most expensive squad in the league, some fans just have to get behind the club and open there eyes to the good that DK MW and DW have done in such a short space of time.

05 Jan 2017 18:10:36
Johnny G

kings attitude to Ashley. behave mate.

Ashley the guy that tried to get King jailed when he arrived to have face to face discussions with him?

Ashley the guy that made sure we have the most outrageously unfair merchandise deal?

Ashley that appointed charlatans like Llambias and the rest to run us into the ground?

Ashley the guy that gave us 5 diddies from Newcastle reserves and made us pay for the privilege?

Oh yeah I really wish King hadn't ruined our fantastic relationship we had with him. He's got a lot to answer for that Dave King!

05 Jan 2017 18:13:14
Wasn't it the like of mcCoist who blocked King's attempts to issue more shares and raise cash?

05 Jan 2017 19:40:16
Doiger

Spot on mate mr mccoist couldn't be bothered voting for a resolution that would have seen Ashley's power diminish. As I've said before this imposter is no club legend and betrayed ever single Rangers fan with his inaction.

06 Jan 2017 12:05:43
The blame Kingers usually appear after a poor display as if it was he who had put the ball past the post from a yard out earlier. I think the retail deal was a blow the board didn't anticipate and a lot of calculations had to be redone and the fact that it's a Rangers board and not an unknown quantity who's never set foot in Glasgow, never mind Ibrox, is a fact some fans don't understand the importance of. I agree about focusing on the age of the squad and the need for European football and as much as I rate the heroics of Miller and Hill right now I can't get my head around the news of offering them both a new deal at the ages of 37 and 38. It says a lot about our squad if they're rated 2 of the best we have and it says a lot about our ambitions for next season.

05 Jan 2017 08:53:57
Ed, is there any chance we could have a Bhampot specific page on here. I just don't think his opinions are given the respect they deserve. A heading of 'Bhampot's Views' would suffice.

05 Jan 2017 09:46:02
With a page to follow.

Cullins naive rebuttals.

05 Jan 2017 10:21:54
I'd be up for that, but who the hell is Cullin?

05 Jan 2017 11:02:29
He not the vampire from twilight.

05 Jan 2017 12:47:33
You couldn't afford me😆. In my view 🤔.

05 Jan 2017 13:30:23
Crackpot is a bit of an enigma.

Most of the time just on here looking for a cheap rise but I've also seen some well thought and insightful posts from them.

I look forward to more of the later.

05 Jan 2017 15:38:36
Dawson, you spelled "enema" wrong!

05 Jan 2017 16:12:10
Och wind ups are just to get a cheeky wee bite, nothing in them. But as you say dawson, i try to be serious now and again, they posts are the ones that are genuine. I mean no harm, some folk just take the bait and some just join in, its all fair doos.

05 Jan 2017 16:42:13
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't susceptible to the odd bit of bait but I'll praise a good post when I see one regardless of which side of the Old Firm divide the poster's loyalties lay.

05 Jan 2017 18:16:11
As do i sir. We can all bite too, even with our own clubs fans. A good post is a good post. Most usually know when the wind ups are startin.

05 Jan 2017 03:44:44
The defence is a shambles how can players be clearly unmarked? What on earth is D Weir doing at the luxurious training ground? The team are "absolutely" unfit! De Boar - Mols - Needto bring in professionals!

05 Jan 2017 07:53:13
He wasn't unmarked. Wilson was marking him but got sacked in and tried to win the ball and missed. If he had won the header we would all be saying he did well. How the hell would de boer or mols help us?

05 Jan 2017 09:06:40
Pity he forgot you need to jump to head a ball. could have got a sheet of a4 below him.

05 Jan 2017 09:20:55
Cee

Maybe the poster was meaning Sinclair?

05 Jan 2017 03:10:12
First post! Analysis of Game and current situation First 20 mins RFC were top drawer however 1 School Boy defending 2 Obvious team R totally unfit which is a disgrace! 3 Solution! Stop buying dross! GET proper professionals in! BREAK the bank take ALL the money for all the recent signings most of which are a total waste of £s GET John Terry ( player manager ) to buy into this mentally! Why would he not want to play in front of 50,000 crowds? Get Frank Lampard in as joint manager assistant! Then watch what happens!

05 Jan 2017 07:00:49
What makes you think terry would be a good manager, let's be honest not exactly a sparlkling example for the younger ones either, lampard and him were great players but come on.

05 Jan 2017 18:15:07
Mate think you and John Terry should share some of your stuff.

05 Jan 2017 01:17:57
Is there any truth in these investment rumours, hope so this is a rumour page after all can't find news of this anywhere, everyone calling for a a decent defender this month I'm the opposite I'd take another striker for injurd garner we domonate most games with our possession but can't finish our dinner I'd happy lose a couple of goals as long as we've banged in another 5 in at 90mins.

05 Jan 2017 10:02:25
I doubt that anyone will invest while King is in control unless he is willing to match any new investment made. Why would any one give him investment when he has neither the vision for the future or, by all accounts, the funds to keep the promises he made to the support.
Perhaps he is really only interested in recouping some of his lost £20m if he can get a good enough offer for the Club!
