since the souness era not many youth have been given the chance at ibrox and maybe that's been a problem all along & I know we had a chance to blood youth in due to circumstances we found ourselves in but here's the thing if we had blooded youth and they failed u can bet your bottom dollar we would've have had people on here saying we should've brought in experience.

I could have blooded youth and won the leagues! You have got to be kidding me, ally and sir Walter have been in charge of Murray park for long enough to have had at least three teams to play thru those divisions. Unfortunately neither of them would ever play the youths. Needs to go but all we do is moan about him. He has taken enough out of rangers. Something has to give to get ally out and rfc back to where it belongs!

Miller/Daly and Clark in the league
Gallagher and Daly in the cups?
Also think if mccoist won't play gasparotto in the league he should be using the cup games to give youngsters a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be a good idea to ask souness back in a advisory role or director of footall that would probably suit him he would sort things out ann kick macoist out the door

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe mccoist should give kenny mcdowal the cup games just like walter smith done with then we would find out mcdowalls strenth in running the team

I for 1 am quite happy to have miller back, but would like boyd also, its a good partnership. I just hope we can afford boyd too. I really wouldn't like to loose boyd to the likes of Dundee United or Aberdeen. I think that would be a good partnership and would score a barrel load between them, I think the likes of nicky clark and David Templeton would also benefit from having the around. Also been reading Miller saying boyd would like to come back
But can we afford this?

What do u think?i don't see how we can afford miller with the state of things unreal but it's what we have grown to accept

Rather like it myself. Clever piece of marketing too with the Referendum coming up and a big majority of bears going to vote No.

Will I be giving Mike Ashley my money though?

Another No for me.

we have signed miller I think he will do a job but it means we will still play high bal to daly nod down to miller alias hately and macoist but on the other hand it does not help building a team for the future or bringing youth through the ranks I know every lad tat plays through the youth set up won't make the first team but the way things stand none make it so either the youth set up is wortheless and we need to scrap it and either start again or the real truth of the matter is we have a manager who is both hapless and hopless and has an ego the size of the ailsa craig we are just into the close season and and every bear u speak to has grave concerns about macoist surely someone at board level must recognise his failings dinsdale and doug are local compared to rest of the faceless crew and must hear the mutterings about macoist surely the realise that he is no longer selling tickets the reverse keeping punters away myself included and for once they could actually earn some praise by getting rid of him and sell some more season books

Sadly, I'm not at all surprised by the signing of Kenny Miller. Don't get me wrong, I think he will do a job and will score goals. Any other Championship club signing him would be seen as a major coup regardless of his age. It's just that it sends out so many wrong signals and sums up everything that is wrong with our club and more so our manager. To sign a man in his mid 30's in the same week as a promising 19 year old steps up a level because he feels it will give him more opportunities is embarrassing.

Also, what does everyone think of the new 2014/15 third kit, featuring a Union Jack design on the front? Bound to split opinion!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I like the union flag on it, we are a British club.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 naw mate we are a Scottish club

Agree0 Disagree0

Scotland, which is a part of Britain, at least for the time being. We are every bit as much British as we are Scottish.

I personally like the top, however don't see the need for the controversy that the UJ will bring. Not so bothered about the outsiders as I am our own support, some of whom will be annoyed based on the fact they want independence.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's not true, we collectively make up 100% of scotland but only 25% of britain.

Heres a poll question for you ed

Do you think anyone who recieved 1p shares should be dismissed from ibrox? I use dismissed instead of hounded out :)

If not polled who agrees - disagrees.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate.}

We should not be signing the likes of Miller. We have had the 'opportunity' rebuild Rangers by promoting youth, and failed miserably!

What is the point of Miller - we can win the Championship without him. Will he still be there at 36 playing for us in the SPFL? Doubt it. Can he play in the SPFL? Doubt it - I don't really care! I do not want him in the team - it is pointless. He adds no value now or going foward to the next league.

I would rather Rangers went out and signed a 17 year old and a 19 year old.

Smacks of desparation - no it doesn't. It is desparation!

anyone think it should be
Bell
Halkett/Mcausland, Gasparotto, Mohsni, Wallace
Macleod, Mcculloch, Law
Mckay/Aird, Gallacher/Clark, Templeton

Agree0 Disagree0

Manager is clueless but he has signed miller so he has to play him with clark up front we know it won't happen

Agree0 Disagree0

This is an absolute disgrace! Telfer out Miller in proves what a lying rat McCoist really is yet again, I will never set foot in Ibrox while that person is involved with Rangers in any capacity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree that we should have used youth and shouldn't be signing players like miller but were like a broken record on this now! McCoist is going to keep with these poor decisions until he's out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeboy 12 that is near enough to what the teamsheet should look like but mr mccoist never gave the youngsrers the chance last season and I will be surprised if he gives any of them a chance ever following his teacher ws

Not a rumor as such, but does anyone know if we will be allocating squad numbers this season? It would be nice to see some names on the back of the shirt again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, we will have squad numbers again next season. Since the league reconstruction, the top two tiers, SPFL Premiership and Championship, use squad numbers and names on their shirts. Whereas before, only the SPL did this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deanomack it won't be hard to remember there names cause ide imagine our manager will use the same eleven in league and cup games lol

I for one am pretty happy Kyle Hutton has signed a new deal, still young enough to improve and I believe if given regular game he would improve.

I would have Hutton in midfield before Ian Black any day, however we all know Black will be first name on Ally's team sheet as usual.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, Hutton isn't a bad player, he hasn't had much of a run in the team since breaking through in 2010. He isn't spectacular, but he usually does the simple things well. I think a midfield three with Hutton holding and Law & MacLeod either side of him would be solid yet creative next season. He will probably just play back-up to Ian Black though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely nobody can expect ally to drop black remember he signed him and like walter smith he doesn't like to change players especially when he signed him hutten came through the youth system and that means ally won't give him a game unless somebody is injured but even at that ally has played players that were not fully fit cause he signed them

I am perplexed and astonished that Ally would stoop so low with his signings - Miller is not the way forward.

Play the youth we have - do not bring in 35 year olds!

I can accept Boyd - but no more underrated old men. At this rate we are going to have an average of about 30 for our main team.

If you looked at this from the outside looking in, you would think that the board are trying to drive the fans away? Nah - I am being paranoid, so I am. Am I?

I've always liked Kenny Miller and think he should be easily capable of doing a job for us in what despite the hype will be a very ordinary league next season football wise.

Saying that the signing makes no financial sense and maybe under Ally's management he'll do what just about every other signing has done. Go backwards as a player

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate miller will pull us out of the 1st div, daly not doing it and the team are poor a guy like miller is a stop gab to get us back to the top, see the point if we were going for the title but we have a long way to go and we defo need millers, cause or football is painful to watch

Agree0 Disagree0

Too many slating this signing. What about Kevin Phillips career down South? The guy has just retired @ 40 and was still being offered contracts to play. Miller is a decent player, especially for where we are as a club. Him and Boyd would be the strikeforce we need. Daly should be sold but more than likely we may see him drafted in to CB which is ridiculous. Black, Foster, Smith, Simonsen etc should all be moved on. Only my opinion. Peralta we have hardly seen as when played he is out of his natural position. I still believe we will see a battle for the ownership of the Club happen towards the end of this month into July. We as a support deserve something

Hi your forgeting the youths were still chasing the league title and cup, Gord Durie said as the time he requested that Ally did not field his team, and Ally agreed that as our title was in the bag he did not want to disrupt the push for silverware. Telfer wanted first team football, due to his position he would not have got that this term. I would be suprised if he walked into the Dundee United first team next season. But the boy was out of contract Rangers made him a good offer he decided to take a gamble with Dundee United for first team football. Ally would have had to have gaurenteed him first team football last year to keep him, no manger can give that gaurentee not even to experienced senior players. I think some people have become so obsessed with looking for things to crtique the man for since you learned what salary he was on some of you are looking for any reason to have a go at him. Ally McCoist stood by our club when others walked away. I believe the man loves this club more than his own health and you should stop being spoiled brats and get behind the man, judge him when he's in the SPL and has a budget. Not when he is working on a shoe string under a cloud of mystery.

my god do you not remember mccoist in the spl throwing away 15 point lead to an average celtic team, also got us put out of the champions league and the europa cup by 2 pub teams, the guy has not got it end of story, and let's be honest wild horses would not have got mccoist out off Ibrox he is driven by cash, I pray if someone buys the club the first job is to give this parasite his p45

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think any of the youth players are expecting guarantees but just a chance to prove themselves. It's called hope.

I can think of seven 1st team players who are however guaranteed their place under McCoist. My observation is based purely upon football and nothing to do with what the manager earns.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said nbts best post I have read get behind the manager and team and stop listing to media and the other mob if we beleived them we be dead and buired long time ago 2 down one to go
