Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

05 May 2018 20:56:33
Torres had tweeted his congratulations to Gerrard including the #Rangersfc could he be our first marquee signing

05 May 2018 21:14:06
Doubt it, would prefer Dominic Solanke who is being reported today, think he would tear it up up here. Truth is no one knows the transfer targets but I would expect far better quality than we have at present, at least 6 in, 2 x CB the priority as well as at least 2 midfielders, bring it on! 😁

05 May 2018 21:18:56
Torres is finished he has no pace anymore and that's what his game was built on pace

05 May 2018 23:47:08
His game was not built on pace. If that’s the case O Halloran would be worth millions. His game was built on finishing and scoring goals. You don’t need pace when teams sit in and defend against us. And I’ll guarantee he’s still faster than most.

05 May 2018 20:15:24
Shockingly sad to say I've not been to a game since December, just not been well enough. Been keeping tabs on everything going on and am improving. Hello to all out there. Tom.

05 May 2018 20:28:14
Health comes first mate. You've not missed anything. Get better soon.

05 May 2018 20:51:28
Tom get your health in order first the Gers will be there when your fit and ready mate.

05 May 2018 21:14:59
Thanks people, an overdose/ suicide mission that got me detained for a period of time on an acute ward. After group therapy with Hibees, Tics and others I am getting better. I will say here and now regardless of my fellow patients loyalties they were good people with their own individual problems, naturally I took pelters but when it comes down to health, we all won.

06 May 2018 00:39:01
Good lad Tom, 1 for beating it and 2 for having the courage to talk about it in here.

06 May 2018 10:51:02
Hope your back at ibrox soon pal keep fighting the good fight

05 May 2018 20:06:31
Thoughts and prayers for Alex Ferguson, god bless him and his family.

05 May 2018 20:15:29
He looked so well and relaxed presenting Arsene Wenger with his award at Old Trafford last week, A former Ranger and THE GREATEST manager of his generation if not ever. I hope he can recover and my thoughts are with his friends and family tonight.

05 May 2018 20:30:55
Hang in big Alex. Hopes and prayers with family.

05 May 2018 20:35:55
Gutted to hear about Sir Alex illness. Get well soon.

05 May 2018 20:44:48
My God shocking news, fingers crossed he can recover a true legend and the godfather of British football, get well soon!

05 May 2018 20:01:47
Get well soon sir Alex Ferguson hope u pull through big man!

06 May 2018 00:04:24
Watching sky sports news disappointed Rangers haven't made a statement about Alex Fergusons illness. With him being an ex player I would have thought we should have made statement.

05 May 2018 19:54:07
Thoughts with Sir Alex ferguson seriously ill in hospital stay strong.

05 May 2018 19:31:41
Another tough watch today, Stevie Gerard has his work cut out.

05 May 2018 19:23:55
With Stoke going down, chances are Stevie G might go for Charlie Adam. Former team mates etc.

I would have Charlie great dead ball although not so mobile. Good good player.

05 May 2018 19:28:49
Need better than Charlie. Slower than me and I'm 60!

05 May 2018 19:57:31
Think if Stevie g goes after any stoke player it will be Glen Johnson.

05 May 2018 19:58:54
Charlie adams about done mate anytime I've saw him this year he's looked like he's towing a caravan. 2 or 3 young boys at Liverpool I would love on a seasons loan

05 May 2018 21:09:42
Dont think Charlie Adam is the future for Rangers, over weight and over rated.

05 May 2018 23:28:37
I don’t think Steven G will be going down the ex player route I’m sure he will have his own targets

05 May 2018 23:44:22
Certainly not the quickest never has been though. He could sit at back of midfield and play quarterback. Great range of passing. Take the point he’s not long term, neither is a couple of Liver Loans!

Anyway here’s to a blue and white future.

05 May 2018 18:50:09
Stayed till the end watched Bates (our best defender) and Martin both applauding fans. Both saying goodbye. I think gerrard and allan have centre backs lined up for next season. Lots of talk about fresh investment coming in on monday! let's go.

05 May 2018 19:55:47
Should of kept bates bad mistake from the board

05 May 2018 18:30:47
If we don't come up with a song based round the ramones Blitzkreig Bop ie Hey Ho let's Go! Then we're missing a trick!

05 May 2018 18:51:08
What about ‘lets go go power rangers’. nah?

05 May 2018 17:57:53
First time post fellow Bears so please be gentle, I agree with CFBear, Bates was immense, what’s he thinking now watching the new revelation starting to unfold knowing he is heading for the German lower leagues. good times ahead!

05 May 2018 18:03:28
Probably thinking I can’t wait to get paid and valued correctly, only 1 person to blame for Bates leaving and that’s our Director of Football

05 May 2018 18:31:48
Let's see who we have in the position next season before we criticise Mark Allen

05 May 2018 19:31:22
The lad wanted more money, we obviously had other plans based on SG etc. The lad is promising he’s decided to go let’s leave it be.

05 May 2018 19:40:28
Presumably the Stevie G and Mark Allen have other central defenders in mind, makes sense especially if we have more investment coming in

05 May 2018 22:52:31
I like Bates but I don't think he's worth 10k a week.

05 May 2018 17:22:24
After seeing the way young McCrorie came on and got right in about it, I'm starting to drool at the prospect of Gerrard mentoring him and sharing his knowledge and experience and hopefully McCrorie will just keep getting better and better

05 May 2018 17:37:18
Pressed disagree by accident lol totally agree 👍

05 May 2018 18:13:31
McCrorie the midfielder is 10 times the player McCrorie the centre half

05 May 2018 18:22:47
Definately daz. I know he's still centre half but I think he's much more suited to that CDM role he seems way more comfortable in there. I'd like to see him n rossiter in there v hibs n the sheep give us a bit of cover n push Dorrans up further where he can influence games a bit more

05 May 2018 18:48:58
Totally agree, for me he is a natural cdm but can easily be a box to box mid, who knows, he might even surpass bazzas level

05 May 2018 18:52:25
Rossiter v mcginn would be a great battle. Would probably come off injured tho

05 May 2018 19:31:54
I've said it many times and got shot down screaming. The lad is a midfielder, not a defender. And a very good midfielder at that

05 May 2018 19:32:19
McCrorie definitely CDM

05 May 2018 17:15:11
Thought David Bates was immense today. Hamburg certainty now to be relegated. Do you think the big man has made a mistake especially now losing the chance to work with Stevie g. I can't blame him . at the time let's face it things didn't look good.

05 May 2018 17:53:47
I think he'll regret it but can't hold it against him given how things looked when he made the decision. Wish him all the best

05 May 2018 18:53:27
Stevie will bring in better than bates anyway so its aaaaalll good

05 May 2018 16:28:36
Seriously Morelos movement in the box is so bad we would as well have a centre half up there and just punt high balls in.

05 May 2018 18:06:09
I got slated a few times on here saying the same thing. He fakes effort and movement every game. He’s done well for a £1m player, if we get offered £2m / £3m for him in the summer we should take it!

05 May 2018 18:51:51
Hollow55, I agree as I don’t think he puts as much effort in as you think? He will be shipped out as he’s not good enough! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

05 May 2018 19:02:22
We got offered 11million for him. LOL.

06 May 2018 00:34:48
I seriously was hopin Morelos was going to be our talisman., but every week he seems to move further away. Thought he played well today . Win a lot of balls he gad no right to win but what shocked me was after the final whistle he was right up the tunnel while the rest of his team mates were clapping the crowd that were left. It was the last home game after all. The boy appears to have a serious attitude problem and it seems like he really didn't want to be here . unfortunately

05 May 2018 14:29:21
Gerrard is a legend
Scott Brown is a fanny
Gerard's wife's a belter
Rodgers snagged a tranny
The revolutions started
We're going for the big prize
Stevie G's in Glasgow
And we're going for 55
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

05 May 2018 19:33:55
Lol! Look out Stock Aitken and Waterman will snap you up!

06 May 2018 00:07:05
Try doing your talking on the pitch

05 May 2018 14:11:57
New gerrard song.

Steve gerrard gerrard
Here's going to break your hearts
Forget your 10 in a row
So let's go let's go!

05 May 2018 16:19:33
Don’t give up the day job.

05 May 2018 13:51:58
If Chelsea were to request musonda to return to Stamford bridge due to lack of playing time with Celtic, which I have seen quoted online, do you think there would be a place for him with us?
I know there may be a bit of controversy given that he has featured for Celtic but surely the days of players not being able to turn out for our club due to playing for our arch rivals are long gone, Miller Presley Johnson just a few examples.
The lad has enormous potential and i would love to see them spitting feathers if he were to showcase his talent with us rather than sit on a bench at parkhead.

05 May 2018 11:42:37
Hi Ed, A bit naive perhaps from me but wondering what peoples thoughts are on having a mangers name on the back of the shirt rather than a players. POLL? I would love to see Gerard's name on my back.

{Ed033's Note -

Name on shirt poll

05 May 2018 11:59:20
Damn right mate so so many will have that on their shirt

05 May 2018 12:00:31
In this instance it would have to be Stevie G on the back.

05 May 2018 14:26:57
nonsensical idea. The names are there for a reason. Ask any referee what he thinks too.

05 May 2018 14:41:53
Does your mum still dress you? Do what you want with your own shirt. You don't need a poll for such a conundrum surely.

05 May 2018 18:24:57
Usually say a player but there will be a hell of a lot of Gerrard tops neXT season.

05 May 2018 19:12:28
Thanks for the sensible replies. It was a genuine question as it seems odd to me to have a managers name on the shirt however on this occasion it would not look out of place, as SG was actually a world class player where most managers are failed players.

Ritchie2 - what are you on about!

Only a game - Jeesoh! I was just sounding out whether folks would do this as there would be a world wide market on shirt sales. I put on the back of my shirt what I want, same with my kids. Just wondering about others opinions.

05 May 2018 11:15:52
Woke up this morning with an increadable dream that the mighty Stevie gerrard had took over the reins at our club the mighty Glasgow rangers . ah well . can only dream . wonder what dross murts is puttin out the day?

05 May 2018 11:54:49
Mols, 32 years ago I had been out for a "few" beers and then headed home to a frosty welcome. At least my ex-wife left a pillow and a duvet on the living room couch. I woke up the next morning believing Souness was our new player manager.
Naw, it must have been a dream I thought, but it was true and led to a tremendous few years for us.
Trust me, the era that started yesterday will better what we experienced under Souness.

05 May 2018 12:52:50
I hope you are right guys.

Lets go!

05 May 2018 11:10:38
Still buzzing about the Steven GER-rard signing and moving on to today I think we will see a real hunger I hope with our players and can't see anything less than a 2-0 3-0 win but my question to my other fellow bears is what's the best result for us out of the other games? A sheep win? a hibs win? draw? Exciting last few games to see us to the summer and watching england getting cuffed. Have a great day guys and stay safe WRTP 😉.

05 May 2018 11:38:30
Us to win the sheep and manky mob 2.0 to draw

05 May 2018 11:49:11
Think it's better if Aberdeen win as if we win today and win Tuesday, it would almost guarantee us 2nd.

05 May 2018 12:57:42
Our task is simple regardless of the score in the Sheep v Hibs match today. We need to win the last three games and if we do so we'll finish 2nd. Simple as that.

05 May 2018 10:54:50
Could SG really have gone anywhere else after Liverpool after all he did grow up on the BLUEBELL Estate in Huyton

05 May 2018 10:13:35
Just watched the behind the scenes footage of Stevie gerrards day yesterday when he arrived. That man is proud as punch to be our manager. He definently gets it. Well done to mark allan for bringing this to dave king and dave for delivering. Already the. rangers tills have been ringing. As a club yesterday alone must have made thousands . We are everywhere on the tv papers everywhere.

05 May 2018 09:31:59
A Challenge to My Fellow Bears let's see if we can come up with some clean funny set of new songs to welcome our new Manager and move forward into the future, I get tired of hearing the same old tunes, Rangers have loads of old songs we could utilise, in the words of our new Manager "Lets Go".

05 May 2018 09:39:51
"BRING IT ON" might also reflect the good news

05 May 2018 13:24:42
the teddy bear song if you go down to Ibrox today your sure of a big surprise, if you go down to Ibrox today youll hardly believe your eyes, for stevie g and garry mac they will bring the good times back todays the day the TEDDY BEARS HAVE THEIR PICNIC

05 May 2018 09:14:54
Forgot yesterday to thank the man responsible for making the Steven Gerrard appointment possible. Thank you Derek McIness.
I was very much wanting McIness at the time. Now so glad he said no.

05 May 2018 08:44:52
I wanted Derek McInnes, I wanted Neil Warnock, I wanted Billy Davies. If I go months back to a previous txt and I did say, to be fair, that I would really like Frank Lampard or John Terry as per the Souness era. Apologies Mr Gerrard for not including you in this but it really was just a pipe dream. I never thought that we would actually go down this road. Football is full of highs and lows. If you don't have the lows then you can't fully enjoy the highs. When Souness (God) came we had, in my opinion, the worst Rangers team in living memory. This current team. God bless them. isn't much better. So now along comes Steven Gerrard. If I had a tail I would wag it. I am delighted. Credit where it is due Mr King. well done.

05 May 2018 11:33:44
the team graeme souness inherited would have wiped the floor with todays celtic lmao

05 May 2018 07:47:30
We need a man who will put down £50m and say another £20m to redevelop the stadium and not want it back. The cash from Parks etc is based on loans that they want back. Share issue I'm fine with but I just hope it's not a massive debt job. Rename the stadium the bank of China Ibrox for eternity is a price worth paying for number 1 spot again and a proper set up. Remember where we've come back from.

05 May 2018 08:18:00
There is NO one just handing 70 million to Rangers DREAM ON

05 May 2018 08:52:14
There's a rights issue happening.

I'm sure this is when some of these loans will be converted to shares taking the uncertainty away from some fans around payback.

This also allows fresh investment where funds go to club as opposed to just between shareholders.

Review Of The Day 5th May 2018

05 May 2018 07:14:04
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 5th May 2018

05 May 2018 07:12:56
I'm looking for a big reaction from players today. Your getting watched and judged now by your new manager believe me. No way SG will put up with nonsense or gutless performances. Time to step up to challenge or ship out. No time for passengers anymore. LET'S GO

05 May 2018 07:47:51
Looking for a reaction from the players 2 - 0 to the gers

05 May 2018 08:14:00
I really like that Jordan Jones boy killie have. Not scared of celtic like other wingers. Hopefully we get a few goals today and bash on to Tuesday. LET'S GO

05 May 2018 09:49:52
Jones is good if he gets space. Most teams sit in against us and deny us space. No for me a FAR better standard required to win a title

05 May 2018 10:45:09
For me younger than Murphy and has performed better against them. Would be able to sell on as well and prob cheaper.

05 May 2018 04:20:51
A don't think we need as much investment as all these pundits are going on about. We are terrible just now but celtic ain't much better 12 points it's not as big a gap as they make out.

05 May 2018 08:19:38
I think your underestimating them a wee bit. The last 2 games especially the last one, they pumped us rotten. They are a very good side. However I think they can be got at.
2 quality centre backs,
2 quality midfielders,
1 number 10
2 quality strikers
Along with some of the squad we have now and we can challenge.

05 May 2018 09:49:32
Ask yourself this- is the gap 12 points due to rangers? I think you will find it because of other teams taking points from Celtic. Good luck and let’s hope next season brings a decent challenge

05 May 2018 10:40:29
The gap is 12 points because of rangers horrendous home form. If we had managed to beat the lesser teams at home we would be right in the hunt. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous

05 May 2018 10:51:58
Bhoy1411 that's what is supposed to happen. It's not a league with 2 teams in it.
It's high about time the smaller teams recognise that at the start of the season every team has a chance to win title. It's not celtics right to expect the title. They have biggest budget and best squad but if you don't set sights high then what is the point competing?
Every team should try and take points of every team. It's a competition after all over the course of season.
Feel very positive Rangers will be very different next season.

05 May 2018 00:41:04
excited about Middleton mccrorie n Rossiter under SG

05 May 2018 06:34:55
Atakayi aswell

05 May 2018 09:57:51
I will keep saying it Steven Kelly, Docherty and ridden will progress as well

05 May 2018 00:31:17
Listened to every word Stevie had to say n his interviews and I must say I never heard one word out of place. a class act. maybe just maybe this is the time. instead of making do with other tried tested and failed more secure options our board have given us a chance of Valhalla. very very inspiring. Certain people . (. you know who you are ) shuld be ashamed and embarrassed at the lack of faith they showed our board. I for one want to unreservedly thank them . and apologise for the dross hurled at them recently
. let's get behind Stevie Let's go indeed let's go.

05 May 2018 07:27:38
"I am honoured to become the next manager of Rangers. I have enormous respect for this football club, and its history and tradition.
That'll do for starters son.

05 May 2018 00:14:00
I'd like to put an idea out there, just to see if there is any agreement from across the readership.

Can Rangers aim to be THE Scottish club? By that I mean the board should not only attract the best of Scottish talent into the youth set up, but also make it its mission to buy the best of the talent from other clubs. This is not earth shattering in its vision, but simply put- it would make a virtue out of necessity, and build a USP that would maybe rally support beyond the present fan base. It would set Rangers apart from certain other teams. Should there not be a Scottish Club, just as there is a Catalan, or Bavarian team that carries that hope in Europe?

I'm not saying that Rangers should never recruit from abroad, but perhaps make that the exception rather than the rule. Would that work? Imagine what the team would be like if most current Scottish international players were signed to Rangers; could they take on Celtic and win?

SG should target the obvious rising stars in the premiership, and do what McCoist should have done years ago- build an attacking team that can entertain, win, and even turn a profit.

05 May 2018 02:28:39
I really do totally agree with the sentiment, however why would in our current economic position a world club like Rangers be inward looking with regards to players, we should and hopefully will be casting our net to all corners of the globe attracting the best. Which I will admit the best is sometimes not enough, you have to be cut from something a bit special to succeed at RANGERS. Aye Ready or in scouse, let's go!

05 May 2018 07:04:36
Have yous seen the Scotland team recently? Ross county would give them a game!

05 May 2018 09:00:59
Sentiment is sound, but it's not practical. I would like a solid Base of home talent tho.

In terms of signings tho, there's no good Scottish forwards, and few defenders.

Mcginn is probably the pick right now.

04 May 2018 23:20:09
Seems everyone is talking rangers now Stevie g is in charge. Conte, klopp, rafa Benitez all talking about it in there press conferences today. First time in a long time anyone down south has paid attention to what's going on up here. Can only be a good thing.

05 May 2018 01:54:09
Aye, but what other footballing nation would define itself by how it’s judged by its neighbour? I think its sad that somehow we’ve ended up with such a poor opinion of our game that we look to the commentators of the English game to find value here.

Its a distorted way to see ourselves, and its only because Sky and BT don't do right by the Scottish viewers and put in equivalent funds to buy the rights to our game as they once did south of the border. Of course, our game isn’t worth it, is it? But if 8% (population pro-rata) of that fat fee was available to our Premiership, we’d see a growth in our game to redress the balance.

04 May 2018 22:42:46
The sleeping giants alarm clock has just gone off.

05 May 2018 00:39:20
Wakey wakey time for 55

04 May 2018 22:35:22
If any of the current squad think they have 3 weeks to prove to Stevie Gerrard tgey are worthy of playing for The Rangers then they are WRONG!

They have had a number of clean slates! A number of opportunities! A number of big games to and win! An endless amount of chances to prove themselves as individuals and as team players

Halliday ohalloran holt martin D. john Tavernier windass morelos Pena Herrera just to name a few could all score a hat trick and throw in world class performances from now and until end of the season and they still should ALL be out the door.

Our best players are simply the best of a bad lot. The jersey is too heavy. Away and linger in League 1 and championship where there's ZERO pressure.

Forget who Stevie G is bringing in!

Let's get this home dressing room EMPTIED! .

" LET'S GO ".

05 May 2018 05:28:51
Don’t see why o hallorens name is in that list the guy has never been giving a shot to show what he can do the guy who signed him never game him a chance fell out wit Pedro and murty only recalled him from his loan to not included him in most squads not seeing he’s going to end up a player but the guy at least deserves a chance to put his case to Gerrard I wouldn’t be writing off any of the current squad making a dramatic u turn not saying every player will but good chance there could be few players who find the next gear and shine under a new manger

05 May 2018 06:39:18
that guy doesn't give a flying hoot about our club never looks interested he's stole a living at our club and its time to put him out on his ass even on the bench when we're losing he's not exactly saying let me on I can change this game he's all smiles chewing his gum

05 May 2018 07:39:24
Give him a effing chance man is all I’m saying clean slate for every player at the club

05 May 2018 08:33:24
Bbg. OHalloran was laughing away when we were getting gubbed by Celtic. he's first out the door!

05 May 2018 09:16:55
Clean slate for everyone, but I think it's plain to see some will never cut it. 3 managers haven't rated ohallaran.

There's a lot of squad players who will go, and some first team.

Some players will improve playing with better players and better coaching, but in my eyes you'll not make the following into rangers players:
Martin, haliday, dodo, ohallaran cardosa, dalcio, Cummings, herrera, pena, hodson

Time to think again like rangers fans, and not accept mediocrity

04 May 2018 22:27:24
Mark Allen has been approached via 3rd party to be informed of the availability of John Terry who is desperate to be involved in new look Rangers for next season.
He's on £60k a week at Villa but contract expires at end of season.
He did earlier state he refused to play in Premier League against his beloved Chelsea so any deal wouldn't hinge on Villas play offs hopes.
I know Alves is old and his legs have gone but Terry was never graced with pace but reads the game as well as anyone and can put his body on the line, score important goals and motivate those around him, would be good signing on intent for me.

05 May 2018 06:40:03
Just hide your wife

05 May 2018 07:09:26
Terrys passion has gone he has just gone through the motions at Villa.

04 May 2018 22:20:35
I'm hoping last three games are an indication of things to come. Three wins cement second and basis for good European run highlighting SG means business.

05 May 2018 00:40:19
Wishful thinking we may very well lose all 3 games

05 May 2018 00:58:56
And we may very well win all three, Mr Doom.

05 May 2018 06:41:24
Hope Gerrard get a to talk to the players let them know they have 3 auditions for there job and he's said it he will be watching the games and analysing what we have

04 May 2018 22:19:41
Hibs boy is dying for gerrards autograph you can come to ibrox anytime you seem obsessed worry about your own club.

Like everyone ( well most on here ) I am delighted to have such a name come to our great club. Investment surely to be announced soon. GS and BK I wonder? And for Ryan Jack Greg Docherty Jamie Barkonas. Lads you are all young and have great potential. As midfielders you will be learning from one of the best ever to have been born in the UK. As for our Liverpool connection. KOP = King over pope . Let's go.
