Another leak, re Miller and Wallace, surprise?

05 Sep 2018 22:29:22
Looks like both players done nothing wrong lads why would your club shaft them both?

06 Sep 2018 08:13:38
does lawwell / mcclellan sit on that board? are we in dispute with them at the moment? are they the board that has a conflict of interest chairman? are they the ones that investegated rangers gave in a report then resigned regarding a granting of a licence 5/ 6 years ago? so they find miller and wallce didn't do anything? surprise surprise!

06 Sep 2018 08:48:21
No one has said they did nothing wrong, it looks like the disciplinary process was flawed and the employment regs breached. If that is the case someone at Ibrox is out of their depth in personnel management.

06 Sep 2018 10:06:51
Apparently the appeals board can only rule on procedure and not the actual allegations that the players broke club discipline rules, and by reading the reports it seems that the players said that there was no bust up in the dressing room and that was what they appealed on and won, That is why the club has said they are surprised and disappointed,

06 Sep 2018 18:14:42
Both players were represented by Fraser Wishart. Their union rep. Not lawyers at this stage.

05 Sep 2018 18:28:44
Gerrard himself was prone to injuries. later on with groin issues so I am sure roasted will get fitter and stay fit for years. Just hope he isn't the new Owen Hargreaves. He will play for the rest of the season come Christmas. Mind you he may find it difficult to find a place in the squad if all are playing well. Might just be a squad player but next season starter for me.

05 Sep 2018 19:59:32
Seeing rossiter is training and looking good?

05 Sep 2018 22:35:42
Wall84 - seem to recall people saying that last year?
If fit he is the best midfielder in the country.
HE ISN'T! !

06 Sep 2018 06:05:54
Jordan rossiter is a terrific young midfielder, if only we could root out the problem and get this young man fit!

06 Sep 2018 16:38:48
i have said this before but will say it again, Rossiters problem stem from him getting injured young as his body was developing. He will have this issue for another couple of years sadly until he is fully developed. has happened to many young footballers.

05 Sep 2018 18:18:31
Wallace and Millers appeal upheld by SPFL.

05 Sep 2018 18:27:40
Does anyone know who deals in our legalities? Every legal case at the moment is costing us a fortune, keep on like this the Europa league money will be gone by Xmas.

05 Sep 2018 20:00:35
Think it will be the legal team people.

06 Sep 2018 02:21:58
LMAO how can you disagree with think it'll be the legal team that deals with the legal stuff at the club?

06 Sep 2018 12:03:42
Do we even have a legal team? I don't think we have in house lawyers, we just you know - hire lawyers.

05 Sep 2018 17:55:24
I'll put my tuppence worth in and say shagger should be captain. Play as your captain does, fearless and heroic. Okay he kicked out but just showed he cares. Also no contact so nothing doing as far as I am concerned it's the same as faking a head push. We need a strong man with the band and I am am sorry tab you are a great servant but not captain for me.

05 Sep 2018 18:12:51
Didn't care that much risking going down to 10 men and then facing a few games suspension.

06 Sep 2018 12:49:34
Mcgregor doesn't need an armband to lead. tav conducts himself like a rangers captain. What we need is others in the team to be leaders too. I for one think our team is filled with them now in comparison to last season. The likes of Goldson, Jack. Arfield, Mcg, Tav, Lafferty.

05 Sep 2018 17:06:51
Am I alone thinking it was madness for McGregor not to get penalised for violent conduct? (and pointing out alleged fouls from Ajer doesn't excuse mcgregor) .

I am delighted he is not facing a few games ban but it has pretty much taken away any argument of terrible refereeing mistakes against us as it will be referred to time and time again now that McGregor got off.

05 Sep 2018 18:51:25
i agree, is not the first time for mccgregor either. look back in old footage he retaliated more than once. if that was any other keeper against us we would have expected a red card. it can't be a one way street.

06 Sep 2018 18:03:23
Was worse than the morelos kick out on mckenna anyway.

06 Sep 2018 18:06:33
Did anyone else notice at start of game When the team came on to the pitch A. McGregor's face was tripping him (wonder why) .

05 Sep 2018 16:43:02
Guys, regarding Tav. Some of you seem to be getting mixed up with full back and wing back. Tav is a great wing back in a back three, where he is playing further up the park in a back three. He is not, and never has been a full back. In my opinion he should be played in his better position of wing back. I don't think he is captain material. In my opinion it should be shagger or goldson.

05 Sep 2018 19:13:44
We've played 352 once this season and he was honking that game.

06 Sep 2018 10:22:24
Since he is played at full back in a back 4 all the time I would suggest it is our coaching staff who are mixed up. not the fans.

05 Sep 2018 15:24:10
Highly unlikely but a would like the captains armband taking off Tav and giving to either Jack or goldson.

05 Sep 2018 17:02:19
Goldson should have been the captain.

05 Sep 2018 17:26:30
Caw6 or Stevie Gerrard? think I'll trust gerrards opinion.

05 Sep 2018 14:00:44
I believe, Gerrard had told the team on the basis of the UFA game and Celtics sub-par performances of late to let them have the ball, and shut down only in the final third. Although scary to watch, the team coped reasonably well and got through that first half unscathed. 2nd half we were shutting down higher up and winning the midfield battles only to be let down with yet another 'honest mistake' from the ref.

Jack was fouled by Rogic. Simple as, and when the 4th official is shouting "foul foul foul", only to be ignored then i think we can count ourselves more than a little unlucky not to get something from the game. Then there's that Christie Foul, he cheated yet, I count at least 3 or 4 times Morelos "rolled" his defender only to be fouled, and it not being picked up on. Lads, Celtic are no great shakes, and while it was disappointing not to get at them from Kick Off, I still think if we did, they may have ran over the top of us towards the end of the match as we would tire. A good break to get the whole squad fit, and then hopefully a good run of games where we can get on a wee run.

05 Sep 2018 17:41:26
I hate to say it but they were far superior in ball retention and movement off the ball than we were. They won first and second balls always with an outlet. The game passed too many by without any real impact. Yes we defended and yes second half we did a little better.1-0 could have been more if it wasn’t for McGregor and the wood work. Whether we restricted them to shots outside of the box or not they still had shots and up teen corners.

We will get better and we will learn from this and at Ibrox in December give them a better game. yet again brown ran there midfield. is he better than what we have. NO. he is confident and and not scared to play. Once our team are buzzing we will wipe that smile off his Lego head.

05 Sep 2018 20:08:57
We were shattered . simple as that 4.500 mile trip playing no winning a european tie with ten no nine men. what do punters expect. We are human no robots . many top premier teams lose frequently to inferior opposition on the back of a european journey never mind playing the mankies to a full house of the baying smelliest . battle lost. war there to be won 👍🇬🇧.

05 Sep 2018 13:29:21
ED, could you please run a poll amongst us rangers supporters, regarding our captain james tavernier. I rate tav as the best right wingback in scotland bar none and have said as much, on here many times! His deliveries into the opposition box are exceptional and gives our team so so so much, going forward.
My poll would be-is james tavernier the best right wingback in scotland? Cheers ED, would be much appreciated!

James Tavernier Poll

05 Sep 2018 14:20:04
Instead of hitting the disagree post who you think is better.

05 Sep 2018 14:38:11
Can i ask the people who have voted no in this poll who is the best right wing back in Scotland if not tavernier because it's certainly not lustig and I can't think of anyone else close to tavs ability.

05 Sep 2018 14:45:37
If you disagree or voted no. Whos better then?

05 Sep 2018 15:56:46
Best of a very bad lot! Flanagan is best right fullback in scotland.

05 Sep 2018 16:19:17
I'll get slaughtered for this but Tierney (I know he's a LB) is a better RB than Tav.

05 Sep 2018 16:32:00
He is an enigma can be great going forward can supply great balls into the box BUT he can't defend he seems to lose his man too many times for my liking and it's costing us IMO he's the weak link in the last line of defence but then you need to ask pushing him into midfield who do we drop to accommodate him?

05 Sep 2018 17:01:31
Flanagan is a better right back in terms of defence which I believe is what it should be based on, a defender should defend.

05 Sep 2018 17:02:23
I think I have seen Flanagan once at right back so far for us and based on the absolute roasting he took against Ufa before being sent off I think you are just kidding yourself on if you think he is better than Tav. and I like Flannagan. They are just completely different types of full back, the reality is we severely lack creation and if we want a full back to stay in their own half and focus on defending we need to start creating goals elsewhere.

Windass was the whipping boy, now it's Tav.

We all know Tav was at fault against Motherwell, to many people ignoring as well though that the last minute equaliser in that game should also have been McGregor ball all day everyday.

Their goal on Sunday as well should have been stopped in the middle of the park with ejaria clipping Rogic and taking the yellow.

1 loss in 13 games - 8 of them European game. Aye it's the back 4 that's the problem.

05 Sep 2018 18:17:13
The first half of Jzer's post is the nail on the head. Yes he probably is the best in my opinion but the competition is pretty awful.

I will rephrase the question, as we rebuild the squad over the next couple of seasons would you say he will be good enough for the team? Say three or four windows of consistently strengthening the team, I would want him replaced by then.

05 Sep 2018 20:09:55
Tavs not bad going forward but terrible at defending, the other problem is 90% of his crosses are over hit.

The only time tav does OK is when candyman is helping him out, who rarely gets his cross pass the first defender incidentally.

05 Sep 2018 20:34:01
He doesn't even play wing back so even your poll is flawed. We play with FULL BACKS. Who's first job is to defend yes he is good going forward but his defending leaves a bit to be deserved.

05 Sep 2018 20:46:14
Totally correct fb, a loaded question.

05 Sep 2018 13:25:59
Premier league to start trialing VAR for 15 matches after international break. Would be nice to have all that sweat TV money for VAR, goal line tech and better training for refs.

05 Sep 2018 10:14:59
The usual rhetoric from Sutton and Harston imagine Hartson having audacity to talk about this given his history? they conveniently ommit the question of why Ryan Christie wasn't cited for a blatant dive but no that doesn't fit their argument
I've never hoped so much that we beat them at ibrox to see the smugness wiped off their faces.

05 Sep 2018 12:35:54
Fair point. I've been to many old firm derbies, okay I watched this one on my laptop but we were outplayed. Maybe fatigue from Russia but I didn't think the loanees were up to it and we were miles off the pace. Needed to attack and we didn’t.

05 Sep 2018 17:36:02
Dic7007 the two of them are not smart enough to be smug English and Welch twits.

06 Sep 2018 18:01:12
What about Lafferty then, he was 6ft in the air before brown got near him. And also, was Christie not booked for diving?

Review Of The Day 5th September 2018

05 Sep 2018 07:29:08
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 5th September 2018

04 Sep 2018 23:26:31
A 1-0 loss is not a disaster. If we had got beat by 4 or 5 then questions would of asked. I think we will do well this season. Stevie g needs time.

05 Sep 2018 09:42:38
I don’t look how many we get beat by we were lucky only get beat 1-0 I don’t why people keep going on it was only 1-0.what I hope Stevie g learned from this and hopefully be a lot better next time . they were tired leggy tactics wrong let’s move on and beat them next time.

05 Sep 2018 10:21:20
It was 1 going on 5! Thank to Allan McGregor the game will go down in the history books as a narrow win when the reality is we got pumped.
I agree that we will do well and I’m certainly not going to start calling for his head but the next 5 or 6 games must produce some serious points to climb that table!

05 Sep 2018 11:34:53
It wasn't 1 going on 5. They hit the woodwork a few times but they were hardly creating great chance after chance. It was a comfortable win for them but they were largely restricted to shots from outside the box and set pieces. As soon as we went up the park they picked us off and scored. The real problem was letting ntcham settle early on, if someone had got right on his early touches he wouldn't have been as confident and wouldn't have bossed the game. We sat too deep at times and nobody in a blue shirt could keep the ball.

05 Sep 2018 13:23:07
Is it not a goalkeepers job to stop goals? Narrow win or not, they only scored 1 goal!

04 Sep 2018 23:24:29
Having had time to reflect on the game on Sunday. I don't think there is any cause for alarm. At the end of the day we are off the back of a tough trip to Russia and a tough shedule for the start of the season, and we numerous injuries (namely coulibaly) who could of made a difference. Also it was gerrards first old firm game and after seeing what happened in previous games, I imagine he didn't want a repeat of what came before so he set up to defend. I totally understand where he was coming from. A 1-0 loss is not a disaster.
