Of course we want to beat sheep as well as two Celtic games coming up but I don't want it to mask the dire straights we are in with current squad as what happened last year when we beat them in semi. Why Warburton never addressed defense is beyond me. Anyway onwards and upwards.

Right Bears here's my team for Sunday:

Wes
Tavs
Wilson
Bates/ Hill
Beerman/ Hodson
O'halloran
Hyndman AM
Toral DM
McKay
Miller
Garner

So if Hill and Hodson are fit prob put back in as if we've any chance of catching Sheep we must WIN both games and they WILL be ready and up for it and experience will count in these games.

Always thought McKay would start to produce if we kept faith but if Caixinha was to put Forest or Windass in instead i'd be ok with in fact I hope to see more of Windass AND going to be keeping an eye out for Atayaki to be involved the lad is a Gem and think just cause we have players in abundance in his position he's being overlooked when I think Caixinha needs to promote immediately instead of persevering with current group.

Sure he wants to watch these guys play in his system etc BUT this lad needs ti make the breakthrough next season or I fear he'll end up going like Aird and Gassparota

07 Apr 2017 13:31:08
For me, kenny miller HAS to start against the sheep on sunday! His experience of playing in what is a powderkeg environment, at pittodrie, will be paramount! He's also very vocal and if he does start he'll be the captain! Quite simple, kenny miller leads by example! This is my thinking that he has to be a certain starter, on sunday! let's get into them! Take the smug smile clean off delboy mciness's hairy coupon!

07 Apr 2017 19:36:26
Hill out again, don't fancy Bates against them.

08 Apr 2017 21:47:00
Fod
Tav Bates Wilson Beerman
McKay Holt hyndman moh
Forrester
Garner

08 Apr 2017 22:18:27
O'Halloran? McKay? You're joking mate. Also Aird and Gasparotto were never going to be Rangers players. Your level of ambition as far as Rangers players goes seems to be severely damaged by the dross we've been fed for the past few years. But Atakayi? He's still a wee bit fragile, but he's already a better bet than O'Halloran and probably McKay to be a real player.

09 Apr 2017 16:03:51
Bluedrama warbutton never addressed the defence because we already signed the players in his daughters agency

06 Apr 2017 18:41:06
Thinking that we will see hyndman getting took off a lot over the last few games I think he is the best player we have tbh but against Motherwell if it was not for injuries Pedro was going to take him off at half time that was the plan then against killie he takes him off at half time

So I am thinking that as he is just a lone and we probably won't get to sign him next season he will make way for players who might be there so they are getting a bit of game time so I think we will see windass coming on for him or a youth squad player on for him in most games that's left

06 Apr 2017 20:51:00
Loanee or not Rangers are paying his wages abd we still have games to win. I want him match fit v celtic in the next 2 games. Its madness to only play your best player fir 45mins. Pedro has to realise the games v celtic are Thee games for us. Deny them treble AND end their unbeaten run.

10 Apr 2017 06:25:11
the manager needs windass to have gametime, can't see the both of them in the team together so hyndman is the player that need to come off .

no point bringing him on with 5 mins to go so your point makes sense jm123

06 Apr 2017 16:55:46
Would anyone else like to see John Fleck back at rangers? He's been here before knows what's its all about, still only 25, 16 goals in all competitions this season, a stand out player for Sheffield United! And most importantly, within our budget.

06 Apr 2017 19:22:22
Yes he's been doing really well this season think he would be a good addition

06 Apr 2017 19:39:03
Would be a good replacement for Hyndman.

06 Apr 2017 20:45:38
Yes and add Lewis McLeod and Jamie Ness too! The like of Bates and Beerman should have been blooded months ago by Warburton as should have Burt and Thompson. We have a decent goalscorer, Hardie, farmed out to Raith Rovers

06 Apr 2017 20:52:44
Yeah TrueBlue definetly. I think that he would smash it up here, always thought we needed a player like Flecked and by that I include his Stature and the guy can move so yeah think Flecked would be great up here!

06 Apr 2017 23:24:31
No chance he is mince Can't believe some people would be happy with that! people moaning saying we are shite yet come out with things like let's sign fleck, ness, Nickleson, jack, Hayes, Cummings and play young bates and beermen every game yeah let's do that that lot will take us to the title not!

07 Apr 2017 13:12:30
Fleck was dire with us before. He has reached nowhere near his potential. Only former player i would consider is aluko but he is too injury prone.

07 Apr 2017 13:57:37
If you don't rate Jason Cummings then it tells us all we need to know about your knowledge of football.

06 Apr 2017 16:17:15
The good news is we'll be going for 55 on Sunday. Might be 35 points behind Celtic and 12 behind Aberdeen but nobody singing the song last season actually defined what the 55 was.

06 Apr 2017 09:46:03
Caixinha really has his work cut out. Defense needs sorted, lack of strength and creativity in midfield, and no goalscorer to be seen. This won't be a quick fix.

06 Apr 2017 11:13:40
It won't be a fix at all unless we see some serious investment. At the present time we run more risk of being caught for 3rd place by St Johnstone than we have hope of catching Aberdeen for second.

The players generally are a joke! The ones that might make a difference, our goalkeeper excluded are either injured or out on loan! We might be fortunate with one or two of the youth players but in general, Warburton's signings are no where near good enough. They are Scottish Championship level at best and we need to be signing players that are better than those of the competition in the SPL.

I just hope that Pedro has a few Liga MX players lined up for next season because we are about six first team players short of what we need and that is before we start looking at the Squad!

06 Apr 2017 12:05:12
Brexit might make it harder to unearth some rough diamonds from outside the UK.

06 Apr 2017 13:47:14
If you think brexit will have any effect on the potential for the UK to tax a player making 1-500k a week you're uneducated. We will be able to set whatever laws the UK government decides is appropriate through the people we actually elect.

06 Apr 2017 14:19:32
It would make a nice change for you naysayers to give Pedro some credit for having a bit of intelligence.

Do you really think he had no idea how much he would have to spend before he accepted the job?

Do your really think he did not have an understanding of our current level of player?

One side of the debate is surely thick. Pedro or the doubters

06 Apr 2017 14:42:04
No one should be criticising the new manager; he has the biggest bunch of jokers that we have ever had in the SPL and trying to find eleven that are good enough will be far from easy. We can criticise Warburton all we want as well but at the end of the day the only semi decent money he spent was on Garner and while he appears to have wasted that I am not sure what quality of striker we could have unearthed for that sort of money looking in the UK.

My only criticisms of Warburton are that he didn't shop overseas and he didn't instil any fight in the players.

As for Brexit not helping, what rubbish! The only two things that will help are (1) Serious Investment (2) Good scouting

06 Apr 2017 15:40:48
Obviously Pedro was told how much money he would have for transfers.

Whether the figure mentioned is remotely accurate remains to be seen.

After all last year Dave King promised that he would 'overinvest'.

06 Apr 2017 16:59:35
According to Kings club statement where he was giving Warburton it tight after his alleged sacking, he said the manager was giving more funds for players, than the board had budgeted for at the start of the season

need to over/ overinvest just to catch Aberdeen next season.

06 Apr 2017 16:46:26
The biggest problem is we cannot create a thing.

06 Apr 2017 16:48:55
this could be a quick fix he could bring in 5 players and job done we don't know and i'd rather be positive about it as I've been too negative of late

06 Apr 2017 19:41:55
Nothing to do with tax. Non UK players will need work permits after brexit. Only players who have played enough percentage of games for their national team will be given a work permit.

06 Apr 2017 19:34:07
Brexit is going to make it more difficult to get Europeans as they will need Work Permits. Unless a player has a certain amount of caps they don't get automatic WPs. So it will, on theory, make it more difficult to get rough diamonds.

06 Apr 2017 20:44:40
If we bring in European players next season then Brexit won't be an issue and when we look outside Europe the answer is simple, sign international stars, not second rate third division England players.

06 Apr 2017 20:35:11
Brexit will have no effect whatsoever on player movement for at least three years, and maybe even then the restrictions will be minor. Plus Brexit means we are withdrawing from the EU, not the world.

07 Apr 2017 13:59:16
Yeah we are withdrawing from the eu so after the 3 years players will need permits. Obviously.

06 Apr 2017 09:28:39
A bit of an analysis from last nights game. I thought beerman did very very well. He's pacey, good on the ball and probably more of a winger, but acquitted himself well against the strength and experience of Sammon. Bates started slowly but built in to the game and clearly is quite quick for a CB as he seemed to fill in for Tab are RB when he went walkers as usual. Wilson was dominant vs Boyd and helped our Bates well. Midfield was woeful and we took of hyndman. Granted not his best half but easily the most creative midfield we have. McKay couldn't deliver a pizza, let alone a decent cross in to the box and that pretty much cost us the 3 points alongside having 3 strikers who couldn't score in a brothel. Waggie was dreadful, Garner is too aggressive and stupid at times and Miller was everywhere but the box. Without big Clint attacking the ball in the box our setpiece is a waste of time.

06 Apr 2017 10:38:13
A decent and fair summary. I was disappointed to see Hyndman off at half time and think Pedro got that one wrong. Man Utd tried Rooney in midfield without success and now we've got to do the same with Miller. I wish we'd stop this playing certain players out of position purely because who they are and at the expense of a decent one whose position it is. Same old madness.

06 Apr 2017 10:45:21
To be fair Kfraser, I thought Hyndman was having a quiet night, Miller came on and the link up play got a lot better.

06 Apr 2017 10:49:30
Well done to the two youngsters.

On a more negative note, when was the last match that Barrie McKay looked anywhere near a six million pound player?

I'm certainly not going to make any real judgement of Pedro just yet but nothing he has did so far has impressed me although he seems like a very likeable guy at press conferences.

06 Apr 2017 11:16:52
You can only use the players you have at your disposal and the signings made by Warburton are generally out of their depth. Not altogether Warburton's fault because if you are given pennies there is a limitation on the quality you can acquire. Four or five meaningful signings in the close season and we will be right up there but the question remains, where will the funding for this come from!

06 Apr 2017 11:43:59
Tomusa, we paid 1.5mil for Garner, Dodoo 250k, Rossiter 500k, Windass 65k, Crooks 65k, Alnwick 250k. We keep saying pennies or very little, it wasn't. Warburton had a reasonable budget and f***ed it. There was plenty of good players out of contract in the english championship we could have picked up and warburton didn't, he instead splashed the money on players (most of who work for the same agency is daughter works for) that are dreadful.

06 Apr 2017 12:50:13
Thought it was one of the best I've seen from wilson. Looked better last night probably as he needed to take some responabilty with young bates in beside him, something he rarely does.

06 Apr 2017 14:22:40
TOMUSA, EE o me that Aberdeen have done much better in the transfer market in recent years than we have. on the basis that you think we haven't spent enough you must have inside knowledge that Aberdeen have invested significantly more than us?

I would have thought its reflects more on the people making the decision on who to buy. Warburton in our case

06 Apr 2017 14:46:51
Why does joe garner get so many crazy bookings. Is it down to frustration because of lack of service from midfield or does he just fancy a day off every now and again. The tackle on the killie player last nite I mean what was he thinking off.

06 Apr 2017 15:50:04
To be fair, if you were Garner wouldn't you do the same? you are a poacher, nothing less nothing more, and you NEVER get service.

06 Apr 2017 16:49:13
sorry mate i didn't see one player in the rangers top have a good game they where all mince and should be ashamed of themselves as they let the club down yet again good riddance to whoever leaves the club.

last night was the worst game of football I've watched in a while we played better than that when we got beat 5-1 aff the manky mob

06 Apr 2017 17:10:02
Hyndman, did have a quiet game but he was still more effective than Halliday who should have been brought off instead and to think he was the Captain last night 😰.

06 Apr 2017 20:49:54
Halliday should be no where near a Rangers jersey, all he does is talk about how he loves the club and then when he goes on the park he is about as useless as a chocolate teapot!

06 Apr 2017 20:40:46
Tomusa there were more than 2,000 Uefa registered players out of contract last summer. If you drew names out of a hat you would have probably come up with ten better players than the dross Warburton brought to our club. Then of course he spent £3m on players, upped the wage bill by £2m and probably another £2m on agents' fees (aka his daughter's bank account) and signing on fees. His contribution to our club was 100% negative.

06 Apr 2017 20:40:20
Garner has done ok last couple of games but he is not the answer. In fact I think he has a screw loose. Some of the challenges he made last night were just daft.

06 Apr 2017 22:30:43
I thought the two youngsters where solid last night and these are two guys that hasn't had praise like wee burt has had so I'm expecting burt to be named in one of pc line ups as he could be a wee gem of a find for next season I hope he has taken notes from recent games to get rid of deadwood but also hope he sees something in most of the guys we have like windass and dodoo etc. These guys have a big future in football just hope they stay around so we see it hope rossiter gets fit too and honestly rangers we all know we are in need of a new back 4 and a dm badly but I'm sure pc knows what he's doing you don't get jobs at the biggest teams on each continent for no reason

06 Apr 2017 22:41:05
I actually thought as a team we played all right and dominated the match. I've seen better Rangers teams struggle there. We should have won the game. McKay was dreadful and has gone back into his shell as he did at start of season then Warbs left him out and when he returned he was brilliant.

That was a while ago and basically he is back to the standard that saw him loaned out to Raith Rovers. If we can get £1m for him sell him. Strikers let us down once again. Nobody seems to want to be a penalty box player even waghorn continues to operate wide and Garner should soften the aggression not loose it though but concentrate more on finding dcoring positions.

2nd place is gone but basically 3rd is as good in terms of Europe. Not much difference in prize money either. The young lads didn't look out if place and Wilson had his best game in a while. can't remember Wes having a real save to make and we should have had penalty.

05 Apr 2017 23:28:23
Tonight just shows the old saying you can polish a rubbish is so true feel sorry for Pedro can't judge Him till he has brought his own players in and I hope too god he brings some real good ones in or next season will be very painful.

06 Apr 2017 11:27:10
While I fully agree with your comments he will only be able to bring in quality if he has the funding to do so otherwise he will be another failure because we will not win the league or make progress in Europe with this bunch.

I can only hope that we are able to sell most of the players that were on show last night, (Foderingham and the two youngsters excepted), since not one of the remaining players comes anywhere close to being what I and many others consider to be Rangers class.

When Miller is our best midfield player in the second half it says it all really and McKay and our two strikers, if you can call them that couldn't't score if their life depended on it and McKay isn't even showing one good game in five.

As for the defence, at least we have two youngsters that can develop and Tavernier is good going forward but we don't have a centre back of any true quality on our books and as far as full backs are concerned, Hodson does nothing to improve the quality when he is fit.

We need to hope and pray for serious investment and some decent quality new sponsorship alongside a better Retail Merchandising contract as well as some decent income from selling Warburton's failures or the next few seasons are going to be extremely painful!

06 Apr 2017 11:47:53
I think it's going too be a long time before we ever see Rangers class again mate

if Dave king doesn't give Ped the ted money too invest then He should stand aside and let someone who will invest heavily in the squad.

You have too spend too gain that's not just a football things that's a life thing.

After watching last nights game you can clearly see kenny miller has lost his pace as you would expect at his age I think he has too be deployed as a central striker not running channels or that stuff he has the football intelligence that could score goals

As for garner and waghorn just can't seem too score I think they have both been very unlucky with some of there chances they also do a lot of work for the team garner I think sometimes tries too hard and picks up silly booking like the one last night.

The fully midfield needs changed as well as the central defence I like Wallace and tab I think tab is a better defender than people give him credit for
