I Wonder How Much £ For Liam Bridcutt, he's A Holding Midfielder Who Is A Sunderland Player But On Loan At Leeds The Now, Seems Like A Decent Signing For When We Get Promotion.

07 Feb 2016 00:06:47
He's a player I'd def go for! Reckon he fits magic hat profile too.

07 Feb 2016 01:05:27
Good call I would take him in a minute.

07 Feb 2016 09:20:28
Can't disagree with any of the above posters as liam bridcutt would be a very good signing for us in the summer, he still has his peak years in front of him and has the defensive midfield qualities that we're looking for when we step up to the premiership, he also has a fair bit of experience under his belt and looks to be a warburton type signing, would really like him at rangers.

07 Feb 2016 10:43:34
If we are to do anything in the top league next season then that's the kind of players we need. Will need to try and get some guys from championship in England or on loan from some of the top sides in England.

06 Feb 2016 21:39:00
There is no way Forrester should even play for rangers, he's rubbish. At least Mckay looks as if he can create something when he's got the ball fair enough not all the time but he's been good this year! Zelalem is too lightweight for me not the greatest but he is only 18. Danny Wilson he's also rubbish. I'd rather have big jig back at centre half than him and that's saying something.

06 Feb 2016 22:46:56
Has he even played 45 mins.

06 Feb 2016 22:50:51
I thought forester done well when he came in midweek and again today he's still getting up too speed give the boy a chance!

06 Feb 2016 23:15:40
Grambo, you are far too negative. Wilson done well and will get better. It was a clean sheet! Last week he saved us with a last gasp tackle. Zalelam is a good player, never hides gets on the ball and tries to be positive. Doesn't always work out but he is certainly a player, Forester got off to a poor start his first game but didn't look fit. He is getting better every outing. We pumped them and should have won by 4. Huge improvements at our club in my opinion and we should get right behind all our players.

07 Feb 2016 06:08:32
Grambo we have had 3 clean sheets in a row n u want Wilson bombed out. Heard it all now .

07 Feb 2016 11:56:09
Think though a strong centre half will need to be brought in during the summer both our centre halves could get bullied by a big physical striker.

07 Feb 2016 13:38:02
Wilson is poor and far too arrogant on the ball. Have been saying this for weeks. We need an experienced cb who can lead the line and help develop kiernan. Its a must for SPL or we will get found out.

07 Feb 2016 16:43:17
Forrester isn't good enough for rangers why can yous not see that? And as for the clean sheet carry on Boydy69? Do you maybe no think Dom Ball has had a big hand in the clean sheets getting kept? Sitting in front of the 2 centre halfs maybe that's what they have been needing. Certainly not because of Wilson that's me "heard it all now "And it's 4 clean sheets in a row aswell! At least coldo agrees Wilson is poor.

06 Feb 2016 20:48:51
I thought big Dom Ball had a good game in the holding roll today. I think he's going to be a great player at 20 year old he's been played in a couple of positions for us and looked decent. I'm not to keen on young Zelalem think he's a bit to light weight just now and our league might be a bit to physical for him. I would like to see young Jordan Thompson given a few games instead.

07 Feb 2016 01:00:31
What's the difference between Thompson and zalalem if zalalem too lightweight for the league and you want JordantThompson to play Iinstead last time I looked both about same size build etc unless it's an optical Illusion I'm confused.

07 Feb 2016 01:07:44
I like him but he is a defender not mobile enough and touch let's him down certainly not a midfielder.

07 Feb 2016 01:14:33
Yes your right give Thomson his chance to get moulded into the team after all we won't have zemalen next season, give young Jordan a go now also forrester it's a no for me, that time fell to him at box a wee knock to the right and may have been halliday and he would have a tap in oh well dominated again but need killer instinct kill teams when on top good luck East Kilbride from perth Australia follow follow.

07 Feb 2016 10:24:33
Jimbobgers, Zelalem looks scared out there. We don't know how Thompson will preform if he's not given time to show us. Let me know your thoughts on Zelalem?

06 Feb 2016 17:12:10
I know its early. But after seeing Forrester close up for the last few games. Can't for the life of me understand why he keeps getting on. Gives ball away every time he passes and hasn't went past a player yet. I know its harsh but in my opinion not rangers class.

06 Feb 2016 19:24:47
I disagree with u I thought he looked very lively when he came on, give the boy time, that's what's wrong with football fans, their to quick to criticise, judge the boy when he's had several games under his belt, not when he's had 3 or 4 games from the bench.

06 Feb 2016 19:30:56
Grado uk tottally agree mate he's more interested in chewing his gum and posing than performing he's more interested in how he looks than how he plays imo and looks like he's not interested watching him warm up at times he's just not bothered bout playing with his body language.

06 Feb 2016 19:50:33
Too early to say regarding Forrester but if he doesn't do the business I reckon we can be confident that he will go at the end of the season.

Today was a first chance to see how we would perform against a SPL Club, (and right now Kilmarnock are in a relegation play off place) .

We are not scoring goals which is a nonsense given the percentage of play that we have and the number of corners we secure. Indeed today we had only four shots on target while Kilmarnock had two.

Yes there was some bad luck with the woodwork hit twice but sadly we don't have anyone that can open a defence, (although hopefully MOH will add quality) .

I am not a fan of McKay, he lacks speed and against stronger defences he will struggle to beat his man; today I thought he had a lot of the ball but there was not enough end product.

The defence still worries me, I feel that we need a strong tackling fullback since, while both Wallace and Tav are quality going forward neither is particularly great defensively. In midfield we have some decent quality players but we are lacking at least one 'special player' that can make a difference and we don't have an out and out target man.

Zelalem is a good young player but in reality all we are doing is help develop a player that will sparkle in an Arsenal team long after he has left Rangers. He is too easily knocked off the ball, lacks dig and hasn't yet developed a knack of shooting when he has made an opening. Consequently, while I reckon he is a quality player of the future, right now I feel that he is a luxury for us and we would be better with Law from the start.

We should have beaten Kilmarnock today and we should beat them in two weeks time but unless we see the arrival of some exceptional talent in the summer then I fear that we will struggle in the SPL.

06 Feb 2016 20:41:51
Behave! Do you lot actually go to games? How can forrester be judged yet? Barry mckay is improving game after game, ues he needs to bulknup but had argubly been our best plyer lately, man of the match today. Personally of have gave it to ball or kiernan. We most definatley will not struggle next year. A few signings are needed of course but why all thw negativity? A defensive midfielder amd a goalscorer is what we need and we will be fine.

06 Feb 2016 21:42:00
Barry Mckay - no pace? OK then buddy, how much is gut rot these days? Give Forrester a chance and watch a match where Mckay plays.

06 Feb 2016 21:55:41
I think forrester needs to start a game so we can see what he has another puzzle what the manager sees in zaleelem in Scottish football perhaps in England where they get more time on the ball he will be a hit.

06 Feb 2016 21:58:37
Anyone who says McKay has no pace clearly doesn't go to games.

06 Feb 2016 22:27:55
Have to agree with some points TOM makes. We were up against a truly awful side and never really looked like doing much. Couldn't break them down and Waghorn was terrible again against a Premiership side. The side is at best average and unless serious money is spent in the summer we will struggle in the top flight. Today confirmed that we must win the league at all costs and not get dragged into the play offs.

06 Feb 2016 22:56:41
Couldn't agree more sounez Mckay has played out his skin and has bags a pace and Is only going to get better! some fans don't rate him it's all about opinions am fine with that but to say he has no pace then u must only see the odd TV game because that's a nonsense comment.

07 Feb 2016 11:19:39
Celtic 0 Kilmarnock 0 not long ago. Check the stats. Very similar to ours. Hope MW doesn't read these sites as he would be tearing his hair out - if he had any.

06 Feb 2016 13:23:30
Hey guys I know a few days old on this. But Warbuton was seen having dinner with Wenger last week. Now it gets fans thinking. Do we get Zaleam on the cheap or do we get more great young players for seasons to come in as lonees. Or is it both?

Thoughts?

06 Feb 2016 19:27:01
maybe they just get on well together, as both have the same veiw on how the game should be played, but u never know they could have more loans lined up for the summer.

06 Feb 2016 19:52:13
There are some better young players at Arsenal than Zelalem that I would have preferred to see at Rangers. No disrespect to Zelalem but he is a luxury right now that we cannot afford.

06 Feb 2016 19:41:00
Guys got to eat.

06 Feb 2016 18:44:12
As usual at ibrox today for our game against kilmarnock and thought especially after our 2nd half performance that we should have won the game, it was one way traffic in the 2nd half and for most of the game really, a special mention I would like to post here regarding our cb big rob kiernan who I thought was yet again diff class today before he went off injured, I hope he's not going to be out for long as he's the best cb at ibrox, at first I wasn't sure regarding big kiernan but he's absolutely grown on me and I'm now a big fan of his, he's absolutely solid most of the time and imo a very decent defender, getting away from my club rangers for a moment here because I'd just like to wish leicester city all the best in their pursuit of the english premiership league title, I really would love them to win it now, their manager claudio ranieri is a top bloke, it would be the biggest thing ever seen in english football if they do actually win it, the late, great big jock wallace will be watching down from above hoping leicester city win the league as he was loved down their when he was leicester manager just the same way we all loved big jock wallace when he was our manager, go on leicester city win the league for big jock wallace as much as yourselves!

06 Feb 2016 19:32:54
Agreed warbs big rob has been solid recently also 5 clean sheets in 6 games defo tightening up the back door, what we really need is a poacher, no disrespect to waggy but someone who stays in the box, but I'm not sure if that's the type of player the gaffer wants for his system, before I forget I think u can see davie weirs input on rob and danny now,

{Ed039's Note - Kiernan looks like a footballer now, apart from the header in the first half that we were lucky to get away with, I think he strolled through the game with Magennis in his back pocket. I hope his injury is just one of these things that clears itself up)

06 Feb 2016 21:01:59
WTF: Kiernan just has tightness in his calves.

06 Feb 2016 20:06:51
I agree Ed. Kiernan looked very comfortable man marking a very difficult opponent. Thought Ball also was very good and slotted in well at the back when Kiernan went off. Unfortunately the big fella didn't look too happy when he came off. Let's hope it's nothing serious as we would Defo miss him if he has pulled a hamstring or something.

{Ed039's Note - Absoloutley mate, I know he might not be getting tested where we are but I think for a defender he is young enough to improve and I believe he can get a lot better)

06 Feb 2016 16:59:22
On today's game we tried to break them down but I thought killie defended outstandingly they didn't pose much trouble up our end but I was impressed by their defensive display what annoys me about teams like that if they played like that every week they would be higher up the league but it's down to us to break them down the good thing is they might open up a bit a week on Tuesday but we're still in the cup so we roll on to our next game.

06 Feb 2016 16:21:14
I think we can see now from today's performance that we still have a way to go before we are competing for honours. Not our best display granted however, I would have expected us to beat them considering their poor form and inability to keep a clean sheet. Never mind, we get another bite at the cherry.

06 Feb 2016 20:10:47
I think that's a wee bit unfair pie and bovril. The guys pummeled Killie for most of the match and on another day it would have been three or four. Sometimes it just won't go in. Tell you what - comparing our performance to Celtic's in their last couple of matches - do you think the 2 teams are world's apart? I don't!

06 Feb 2016 22:32:36
Seeker

We are well behind Celtic and at this point behind Aberdeen and Hearts too. I reckon we would maybe scrape top 6 but that won't be good enough. Thought Kilmarnock were very poor and they deserve to be where they are just now. Today showed we need at least 6 first team players brought in during the summer and this team is currently not good enough to win the cup.

06 Feb 2016 23:05:22
Aye look I wasn't trying to sound like I was having a go, I said a few weeks ago that it would be interesting to see how far we had come when we played Killie. I don't even think it's about luck, it's about having the players that a good enough to make their own luck in front of goal. We are short a few good players and then we will see, but just now I think we come up a little short. I have to agree with biffo that as bad as Celtic are at the minute, they are streets ahead of where we are at this moment. We WILL get there though, I'm sure of that.

07 Feb 2016 01:15:09
Have to agree, we need major investment over a couple of seasons to catch up on Celtic.

07 Feb 2016 06:42:01
Better players will come in no problem. But we have to be in the premiership and offer european football before this happens. Small steps n we will get ther.

06 Feb 2016 16:01:52
Dominant again today but lacked a vital spark in their box same as has been for last 3 games now. We look a bit easy Sussex out now with teams happy to let us play out around the box. I personally think we would struggle against any top 4 team in the premier right now but keep going to the end of season and next it should bear us well playing the same week in week out what do think guys. Still in the draw.

{Ed039's Note - Easy Sussex? I can even edit that because I don't know what its supposed to mean? Easily sussed?)

06 Feb 2016 16:42:39
Sussed 😳 Got sussex in the brain ed lol.

06 Feb 2016 15:21:15
I was able to watch the game on SS1 today and as I rarely get a chance to watch Gers here's my take on the peformance. Firstly, we should have won 4-0. We were unlucky to hit a post, bar and then there was Waghorn's sitter! Standout players for me were Wallace, Mackay, Ball and Tavernier. Zelalem has bags of talent and was always looking for the ball but is very slight in build. He'll be a top player one day though. Poor were Halliday, Wilson and Miller. Others inbetween. Didn't think much of Forrester when he came on. Had we a really good goalscorer on the pitch we'd have won comfortably. Maybe Clark should have come on after the hour mark. We'll win the replay but must deliver these final balls much more quickly and sharply and we must get a goalscorer!

06 Feb 2016 15:41:00
Doiger- obv u have not seen them in a while, wi that effort of a post! Miller was not at his best but still posses a threat and we need him, but with forester your miles off the mark he's ready to explode into this team, but needs a run in the team, he will prove all critics wrong for sure. Ref Zaleem I agree he will be good one day but MW wants some return for him now, rightly so.

06 Feb 2016 18:39:26
Thought we played well but lacked the killer touch. We defo need a penalty box goal scorer. Too times again today there was huge hole in the box and no one there. If we have that poacher to occupy cb's, our wingers will take care of full backs. Full backs were backed up by cb all day because we have nothing through the middle. Also do we have to play a holding mid? Most teams play against us with one striker? Surely two cm's is ample, one sits one goes.

06 Feb 2016 18:48:43
Forrester did well today.

06 Feb 2016 19:38:43
Forrester just needs games, gutted that waghorn has went off form a bit, that's 4 games without a goal but I'm sure he'll score soon.

06 Feb 2016 20:13:06
Aye I think the lad Forrester has something. Remember he hasn't played for a while prior to coming to Gers. He is still building up match fitness. Let's give the guy a chance before berating him.

06 Feb 2016 22:06:14
If he hasn't played for that long why is he here? Its crucial we win this league and I think we should have got someone who was up to speed and ready to hit the ground running. Why let Walsh go on loan and bring him in?

06 Feb 2016 15:11:40
reality check time, typical cup tie, but i think we will win the replay comfortably. Hope Kiernan's injury isn't a bad one,
Also, I just don't see what Warbs sees in Zelalem. He is talented, but is missing a bit of oomph in his game. I would let Arsenal have him back with a "could do better" note to Wenger.

06 Feb 2016 16:02:13
Shocking display. Couldn't break down worst defence in SPL so resprted to pop shots from 30 yards only remember seeing Halliday trouble the keeper out of all the shots. We need to be streetwise and realise when teams are only trying to defend against us to be able to change tactics.

{Ed039's Note - I don't agree, hot the post, hit that bar, their keeper made a few saves and their were a few bodies thrown in front of shots, on another day the game is won comfortably)

06 Feb 2016 16:13:41
Can't believe that post. I think somebody is at the wind up. With even a little luck we should have won that 4-0. How was that a shocking performance. We were miles ahead of them all over the pitch.

06 Feb 2016 16:21:06
Some games the ball just won't go in. Killie very negative and got their draw. An embarrassment to the premier league.

06 Feb 2016 16:24:47
Unlucky today that poster is at as others have said it could have been 3.0 on another day the way it goes sometimes.

06 Feb 2016 17:29:19
Rangers looked like the SPL team today, not Killie. Another thing, I don't like Gordon Smith one of Sky's pundits on TV today. Sounded pretty negative about Rangers, just like his finishing when he was a player lol!

06 Feb 2016 19:40:06
Doiger Gordon smith was a great striker in his day.

06 Feb 2016 20:52:01
To each his own. I thought he was a lump a wid.

06 Feb 2016 15:05:59
Think it was just one of those games today, Killie were dogged in defence.
Think we'll blow them away when they come out a bit at home.
glad to see Holt back we've missed him.

06 Feb 2016 20:15:06
Let's hope the wee man gets back in the groove quickly. Maybe it's not a coincidence that Waggy hasn't scored since he's been out.

06 Feb 2016 13:28:05
I'm struggling to watch Zalelem and Wilson playing over the last few weeks. Both their distribution is shocking and Wilson looks like he doesn't care if we win or lose.

06 Feb 2016 14:30:45
Yes both frustrate me as well, wee Zaleem is getting better, but if he doesn't stick a foot in soon he is going to have doubts if he ever can, and I'm also not a fan of I don't give a **** face of Wilson either!

06 Feb 2016 14:43:19
Me personally I think Wilson is getting better but zelalem can go back to Arsenal anytime. Big fan of waghorn but felt Miller was better today and got hooked. Also a big fan of Halliday but i'm not sure if he's too used to playing DM but today he offered nothing going forward today.

06 Feb 2016 15:03:13
Wilson is great at playing out from the back, kiernan gives me palpatations every time he touches the ball even tho he is a solid defender.

06 Feb 2016 15:05:17
Zelalem was poor but McKay didn't impress either. Today showed that we still have quite a way to go to be capable of winning the SPL.

We need an out and out striker and a skilful midfield player that can open up a defence.

06 Feb 2016 15:13:07
We have a massive way to go to even challenge top 6 never mind win the spl, that killie team have the worst defensive record in their league yet we still couldn't score.

06 Feb 2016 15:43:44
Think it was just one of those days, completely dominated the game, a mix of poor finishing and hardlines, Ball played well, as did Holt when he came on, we could and should have win 4, killie maybe not the best of premier teams, but they did get a goalless draw at cesspit park, so we shouldn't be to hard on ourselves, we're still in the hat for the next round, confident of winning at rugby park, a nice we draw at home to EK give them a good wee payday. Btw lifelongGer hope the wee fella had a great day.

06 Feb 2016 15:53:58
We never scored and that happens from time to time but we r still clawing out wins with 1 nils, and the draw keeps us in the cup! We won't have an issue with top 6, Del Boy don't be ridiculous! But we do need an out n out striker that I agree with, also few players hiding today, waghorn wasn't seen till after 20 mins or do, AH struggles not playing as a DM now and BM is being doubled up on. How we fix it, have a plan B! I hate, I mean hate how we change things on the 57 - 60 mins! Yes change one over or at least have the nonse not to do the obvious!
