I'm going to be the first to say it.

Frank Lampard!

06 Jan 2017 21:55:21
I'm going to be the first to say Naw

06 Jan 2017 22:03:01
Ill be the first with, messi
Sounds ridiculous as well eh

06 Jan 2017 22:10:19
You're not though lol

07 Jan 2017 04:49:23
Just wanted to give my opinion on Dembele, fair enough the lad is a good player and apparently West Ham are thinking about a 20m bid. Now some tic fans say he's worth more, I dunno about that, you've git to remember the standard of teams he's playing against AND we need to ser if he can sustain this form. All in All even if he does 20m in my opinion is the ceiling, I think he will take a dip and when he does go it will be around half that. Again he's playing Accies County Killie and if they had any sense they would take a bid of 20m, look at what happened to Bitton. Again he is a good player but c'mon now be serious plus they better watch how they handle the player, West Ham and other Prem teams will be offering the guy 60-70 poss 80k a week!

07 Jan 2017 08:15:57
Lampard is clearly looking for a final swan song after his comments on tv last night . Maybe we could tempt him to 6 months clearly won't be for money just his love of the game.

07 Jan 2017 09:40:42
Maybe we could offer Lampard a Player / Coach role. We need someone to teach our midfield how to play!

07 Jan 2017 14:42:00
Sorry andy1872, but dembele is worth 20 million, the money they spend down south is crazy, so Celtic should hold out for top dollar, I just think the way Celtic are run nowadays is superb, and i wish we could be run like them when we get rid of Ashley and co, their signing policy is first class and they have took in 50 million in player sales the last couple of years, but we must bide our time and take the pain as it's just their time, swings and roundabouts, we will rise again but it won't happen until the fat man is gone.

06 jan 2017 21:41:35
totally shocking

06 Jan 2017 21:15:15
Does anybody know if there are any leipzig tickets available from the ticket office?

06 Jan 2017 22:04:15
Not sure about office but some going around on twitter

06 Jan 2017 22:31:57
I'll gee the ticket office a bell tomorrow. Me and a mate fae work are planning on going if we can get tickets. Cheers anyway stmonkeyrfc

07 Jan 2017 14:43:21
Good on you yogi, I hope you enjoy yourself and have a good time, stay safe buddy.

06 Jan 2017 15:50:22
I would start MOH central with garner being out as he had success at saints playing there

06 Jan 2017 18:06:38
yes very prolific just what we need 12 goals in 70 odd games would only be an asset if we were counter attacking!

06 Jan 2017 19:04:36
Nearly 130 senior appearances, 18 goals. No.

06 Jan 2017 14:35:29
Wish everyone on here would stop preaching about Hardie, Burt etc being the answer. They may be in the future but at the moment we need better than what we currently have and they certainly aren't that.

06 Jan 2017 15:17:29
People might be suggesting them because of our lack of finances. Personally I have no idea about there standard as I've seen very little of them.

Maybe they are worth promoting, I have no idea.

06 Jan 2017 15:34:00
Well said Rutherglen.
If there are young players that are currently good enough to blood in then brilliant but the management team clearly doesn't think this is the case so let it slide.

06 Jan 2017 16:22:16
Burt is ready to be introduced into the first team. Only the undroppables and an intransigent manager are blocking his path.

06 Jan 2017 16:53:04
Nobody on hear knows if there good enough because there not getting a chance. There will be no young players getting a chance because the manager would rather play the same old faces. Put it this way hardie are any other youth striker would score as many as garner

06 Jan 2017 17:04:29
Our team has too much youth. We need 2-3 battle hardened pros to gel everyone together. dm especially he tried last year with eustace and this year with barton if he gets his dm right the team will be a lot safer going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if we scraped enough together for diguaraga he might be the answer who knows.

06 Jan 2017 17:26:52
I'd rather have a bout of diarrhoea to be honest. Think we seem to have dodged a bullet when he went to leeds.

06 Jan 2017 17:42:24
If they are not better than Halliday then our current young midfeld players must be bad

06 Jan 2017 18:16:28
Hardie is definitely no better than the strikers we have at present. If he was then he would've been more than a bench player with St Boo and wouldn't currently be at Raith. I'm all for giving youth a shot if they're good enough but clearly the management (who see these players day in day out) don't think they're ready yet. If we were 19 points clear like that mob then I could understand bleeding the youth in but we're not.

06 Jan 2017 18:18:23
Spot on tom

06 Jan 2017 18:41:02
Rutherglen gain totally with you mate spot on

06 Jan 2017 18:55:07
Surely Burt can't be any worse than Holt who just seems to run about creating and achieving very little

06 Jan 2017 19:09:25
We were well in front last season and no youth was blooded.

06 Jan 2017 19:58:53
Exactly hooly that's my point. Last season we were in a position to do so and we never, albeit a few cameos from Burt. We've had 4 seasons to blood youth in and have done nothing about it. That was our chance, now we're in no position to do so, we missed our shot.

06 Jan 2017 22:00:04
Rutherglen bear
I agree
Soup or Ally didn't gave the kahoonis tae give the young guys a run when the league was one going for an unbeatable season great player but a disaster as a manager!

07 Jan 2017 11:05:42
We have the 2nd oldest squad in the league, how can that be too much youth

07 Jan 2017 16:08:20
Before commenting on the garner vs hardie debate i would like to have seen the lad have a run in the team to see what he can do

I know most will say Warbs watches him train and doesn't think he's good enough, but does anyone honestly think if hardie played 18games for us he'd only have scored 3?

Also attacking mid as cover for niko is important, but if rossiter's injury is serious, we need a strong def mid asap as we don't dominate the middle of the park enough with holt and halliday. Pleased to see windass making progress - he had cple great passes on 31st which cut their defence open hopefully he can get an injury free run and establish himself

FORZA

06 Jan 2017 14:18:15
The squad we have is enough to get us 2nd place and that includes using players like MOH and HF and I would expect to see Rossiter back soon the January window is a waste of cash we don't have

06 Jan 2017 18:45:44
We might be good enough, but only just. It's going to be a scrap. We could easily finish 3rd. We are crap, with crap players and poor management. All those ingredients guarantee us nothing!

06 Jan 2017 14:16:52
Why did Warburton let Hardie go to Raith whilst he doesn't have a replacement for Garner?

06 Jan 2017 14:53:02
Because he is clueless.
Paying £1.8 mil for Garner as a goalscorer tells you that

06 Jan 2017 16:26:17
If you mean someone who plays up front and centre, we have Waghorn, Miller and Dodoo - and maybe also O'Halloran - all in front of Hardie. If you mean someone who is a non-scoring headless chicken, then Hardie still isn't the answer. Seriously though, Hardie is nowhere near ready for a run in the first team.

06 Jan 2017 17:50:31
I find it hard to believe that these young players are not considered worthy of a shot at the first team when you consider some of the players that are given a game week in week out.

We will struggle to secure second place if we do not bring in players of some quality in January and retain MOH and Crooks, both of who, IMO, should be in the team ahead of Waghorn and Halliday.

Right now we are a Premier League Club with too many Championship players.

Without an influx of investment, (and it won't come from King)!, or the promotion of some decent quality youngsters then we will soon be going backwards!

06 Jan 2017 20:58:23
Warbs should at least be putting on the youngsters he has on the bench if we find ourselves at least 3 ahead with 20-25mins to go! Not sure who we've been putting in the squad tho but if they've shown enough to get in the squad then do it anxious let the fans see through youth coming through! What do u think Bears?

07 Jan 2017 08:51:23
Andy1872

3 ahead with 25 mins to go? Your dreaming mate to my knowledge we have only scored 3 goals once in the league in 20 games

06 Jan 2017 14:02:46
when king and co came into power we were sold on the idea we would ign players who could be turned into potential money earners by getting good resale ees so far by mind that has not transpired barry mcay i the only player worthy o commanding decent fee he was already here we have dodo rossiter thompson forrester crooks windass then we have the no hoper senderos hill miller 2 o which are our better players tavernier and waghorn the jury is out compare that to signings at parhead there is no coparison so where do we go rom here

06 Jan 2017 16:27:18
The good thing is King might rein in his BS about 'over investment' etc etc as many bears have realized it's all just talk.

06 Jan 2017 16:27:38
The jury has returned its verdict on Tavernier and Waghorn. Guilty of being rubbish and need to be set free.

06 Jan 2017 17:54:48
King has until the end of the January transfer window to prove that he is nothing other than a 'Bullshitter". We are falling further and further behind celtic and there is no sign of things changing in the foreseeable future with this guy in charge!

06 Jan 2017 19:13:37
Disagree, tomusa, for the simple reason that in the January transfer window there's nothing of any real quality to buy. It's the January sales as other clubs clear out their rubbish and we don't want to get caught up in that again, dishing out three and four year contracts to unsuitable/ unstable/ unfit/ untalented players. We'll know by the summer what the real score is.

06 Jan 2017 22:16:11
Early January is the time when you start to pick up quality pre-contract signings for the following season, (and we should be combing the quality leagues for players that will make a difference for the coming season. Arguably, last season we could offer much more than SPL football but we should be able to offer European Football for next season! Of course there are no guarantees but if the manager is backed to sign the three players he wants then we should secure second place.

Let's see how good McParland and Warburton actually are at signing quality!, and let's look at how far King is willing to back his manager!

07 Jan 2017 01:25:12
Pre contracts are a different proposition from hard signings tomusa. There's never much in the way of quality in January that would enhance a team, that's why clubs are not only prepared, but are dying, to let guys go. We have no idea what three players (if indeed he actually wants three players) we wants to sign, and as far as pre contracts go, I doubt if I would let Warburton sign any, going by his track record. He signed a lot of players already that he believed would capture second place and the majority have been unplayable/ unfit/ unstable/ untalented. But he will be in charge until the summer at least, it seems, so I'd let him bring in one or two loan players and see if he can do enough to get us into Europe. As for the rest, I'd be keeping my hand in my pocket and waiting until things unfurl at the end of the season.

07 Jan 2017 13:24:41
The problem with Warbs going is that, unless we see investment, we will end up with a lesser manager, someone like the Aberdeen manager or, God forbid, Davies.

Celtic upped the stakes with the signing of Rodgers, a manager with a decent pedigree in the EPL. The timing of his removal by Liverpool was perfect from their perspective and they had a decent enough team and gave him funds to improve what was there.

If we are to challenge them for the title and establish ourselves as serious contenders for progress in Europe then we equally need a quality manager and we need to provide them with the funds to progress. Right now our better players are either injured or in their 30's or both! We don't have a decent quality team and the longer it takes to secure proper investment and better players the greater the problem will be. We need as many as five or six quality players to walk into the team and that assumes that Rossiter and Krancjar ever are fit again! On the basis that McKay signs a new contract and Windass develops that is about it in terms of midfield and attack, (excluding the raging Miller) . None of remaining players in those roles, (other than the names mentioned and our youth players), are good enough.

In defence and while open to debate we need a right back, cover at left back and at least one centre back and that assumes that Hill plays on for another season and either Wilson or Kiernan can come good when paired with a top quality centre back.

We won't raise much if any funds on selling any of the players not mentioned!

06 Jan 2017 13:30:38
Mr warburton if u read this page could u please give moh a shot as the main striker would like to see him in this role and think he would do better than waghorn and be a good replacement for the injured garner

Kind regards scott87

06 Jan 2017 14:04:19
MOH is heading back to st johnstone according to reports a really hope no cause the boy needs to start for us cause he is lighting

06 Jan 2017 14:23:06
Agree that he is worth a shout as out and out striker. His pace is not being utilised properly. Perhaps a mix up now and again with himself and McKay in attack. Although a lot of teams play that deeply against us, it might not work effectively. Anyway, we definitely need more options.

06 Jan 2017 15:36:49
Take a leaf out of big ecks book when he turned Lovenkrands into an out and out striker in season 05/ 06. He was arguably our best player thay season and pulled us out of holes. Remember a game at Ibrox against Falkirk that December he was scoring so many goals his confidence was through the roof taking pens and free kicks.
Sorry to preach, basically it's worth a shot haha.

06 Jan 2017 16:34:15
Lovenkrands was a striker who was played out of position on the left wing - he'll tell you that himself. McLeish merely restored him to that position when he had his highest scoring season at Ibrox. I think O'Halloran is more of a natural winger.

06 Jan 2017 17:41:43
We always seem to scream out for the player that's not playing to come in and change our fortunes and when they do get a chance we all hound them when we get a bad result as it happened with crooks, halliday, holt, dodoo now everyones screaming for MoH then when he does get a chance and we get a bad result we'l want someone else to be the saviour. I've even seen people wanting Hardie, Burt etc. wheres the evidence that those 2 boys can come into the 1st team and change things?

06 Jan 2017 18:04:04
Bluedie, if players never get given an opportunity, how can they prove they are up to it? People are asking for more options. Surely more ideas are better than the one dimensional style we currently employ.

06 Jan 2017 18:23:24
They did get an opportunity Cullen72,after that mob beat us 5-1 we all screamed for Halliday and Holt to get back in and now ther in everybodys sayimg ther both not good enuf for the step up. Crooks was built up to be some sort of messiah because he came with a decent rep from acc stanley then he got slated on here after he played at tynecastle, Hardie aswell got game time under Mccall and hasn't exactly set the heather alight on his loan stints. Burt is the only 1 that hasn't had a proper chance and he's only 17 so i wouldn't get to carried away abt him just yet

06 Jan 2017 18:59:07
I don't recall everyone screaming for Halliday and Holt to be restored after the first old firm game. Plenty of people on here also said that Crooks would need time to prove himself.

06 Jan 2017 20:51:58
Well u couldn't have bn on the days after that game Stewie25 as i can remember people saying how we missed Holts energy and Hallidays dig and that Barton/ Krankjar wer to slow to play in the same midfield

06 Jan 2017 20:54:31
Are u kidding? Ppl wer on wanting Crooks to be the Centre Half when nobody had even seen him play then the boy came out himself and said Centre Mid was his best posistion😂

06 Jan 2017 22:22:28
Blue die, I agree that people were wanting Holt back, based on how he had performed in the Championship but you will not be surprised to learn that I for one did not want Halliday back! I reckon that most people were hoping that Crooks would be better than what we had and ignored the fact that he had been out for such a long time. I still reckon that he has the potential but not at centre back and it will take time but he needs the game time which he isn't going to get! As far as the rumours of Crooks and MOH being moved out on loan it will be more to do with releasing funds in the hope that whoever comes in is better rather than anything else since the King promises are now becoming "Murray Moonbeams"!

06 Jan 2017 22:53:03
I thought you quite liked Halliday TOMUSA😂im the same mate I've never really rated Halliday as i think he's to 1 paced and gets caught in possession far to many times. i'd like to think in the long run that Rossiter will be our No1 DM but the more the season goes on i'm actually starting to wonder if we'll ever see him getting a run of games

06 Jan 2017 22:55:04
U must admit TOMUSA that a lot of fans on this page wanted Crooks in at CB without even having seen the boy play

07 Jan 2017 00:19:30
Yea, Bluedie, Crooks was seen as the answer to our centre half problems by quite a number which I couldn't understand since he was primarily a midfield player. I like you would love to see Rossiter as our number one defensive midfield player and my Liverpool supporting pals all said the same thing; a quality youngster that would be one of the best if we could get him fit and keep him fit. That seems to be the major issue for us right now and his absence is hurting the team.

I just hope that he can come back fully fit and be a mainstay in our team next season. If that means nursing him back slowly so be it but I just wish we were given an honest update on both him and on Crooks.

07 Jan 2017 01:29:32
I'd be surprised (but happy) if Rossiter played again for us this season. As for his future I think that is very much in the balance.

06 Jan 2017 13:22:47
I would like to just condemn the morons on some other rangers site who were mocking young Jay beatty. May I speak for us decent supporters, this is well out of order we can take the piss get annoyed with each other, but when it comes to a kid who is less fortunate than ourselves that is the butt of humour then we all should speak out to me this is even worse than the bigotry that is spouted by both sets of fans.

06 Jan 2017 13:54:23
spot on gary mate, we all enjoy a wind up and bragging rights etc but people like that need a good kick in the plums, i'd find them then lock them in the room wi the parents, see how tough some of these keyboard warrior fannies actually are, i know what i'd do if anyone said anything like that about my son

06 Jan 2017 13:56:14
Friendly banter and taking the piss out of each other is part of football but some people go too far and its no longer banter and to direct this a crap too kids is bad

06 Jan 2017 14:05:41
Here here I have had the privilege of meeting young jay and he is a brand new wee guy honestly

06 Jan 2017 14:46:00
Shocked to hear the wee guy jay is getting mocked on a gers site. They must be a shower of scumbags to do that the wee guy is an inspiration and I wish him all the best.

06 Jan 2017 16:28:57
Well said everybody!

06 Jan 2017 16:54:27
The true Rangers fans speak. Well done boys 🖒

06 Jan 2017 17:46:01
Those keyboard warriors aren't even football fans and don't even deserve to be spoken abt or take up inches in the newspaper as that gives them even more sick pleasure

07 Jan 2017 14:41:20
Put the c###s in a room for 5 mins with wee jays family, scumbags

08 Jan 2017 08:35:07
The true football fans stand up and are counted respect

06 Jan 2017 12:23:45
If we are to let any players go out on loan, we should try to send them down south. This way if they do well potentially we could get a sale and bring in some money

06 Jan 2017 12:52:00
while i agree with sending them down south there is virtually no chance of the players going down there if they can not get a game for rangers then teams down south are not going to pick them as the can just got to chelsea arsenal man u man city ect and get a better player on loan from them or from the smaller prem clubs in england

06 Jan 2017 21:14:53
Always wondered why we never loan to 2nd division Dutch teams I know Cheeses can loan to teams in top lge but I think even getting youngsters a shot in 2nd division in Holland would be so much better than teams here in Championship maybe not for everyone and down South would be better too. What's your thoughts and opinions on seding our lads to Holland Bears?

06 Jan 2017 10:30:54
Also - any news on Jordan Rossiter? seems to be out for ages! just watched the highlights of his debut game against Livingston when he came on for JB, as expected he looked fantastic, I really hope he is able to fulfill his potential at the club, could be a future legend!

06 Jan 2017 10:11:00
See Scott 'the RAT Alan ' is now unwanted at the mighty Rotherham! Now there's a boy that backed the wrong horse!

06 Jan 2017 10:16:15
He backed the right horse alright, he just hasn't got what it takes to get on the saddle.

06 Jan 2017 10:40:51
Bhampot

As you said he wasn't good enough for your starting 11 and was never going to play so by choosing Celtic he did back the wrong horse. Had he signed for us I'm sure he would have played most games and might have developed as a player. Now he isn't wanted at Celtic and after 2 unsuccessful stints down south I doubt very much he will be back there. Options may be limited for a player who had a lot of potential but made 2 bad choices

06 Jan 2017 11:06:46
he may have backed the right horse in your opinion but he's left picking up the sh*ep at the rear end now.
Another good scottish talent wasted.

06 Jan 2017 12:26:01
PB1 you are so right when you say another good Scottish talent wasted. He is one of many in a long line who overrate there own ability at the age of 20 yrs old. Guys like Feruz. Allan, Fyvie, Wilde, Ness, Fleck, Wilson, May and possibly even Ryan Gauld have all moved somewhere too early instead of developing and learning their trade so that they could maximise their career.

07 Jan 2017 11:19:29
Not one shred of sympathy for scott allan whatsoever! He could and should have waited to sign for rangers in the january but no he deemed to know better. Look where its got him now! Hell mend him, for turning his back on the club he supported and professed to love! He'll now never wear the glasgow rangers shirt and no what, its all his own doing. Don't need him or want him now! Have a nice career scotty allan! The hoops treated you well, EH?

06 Jan 2017 10:04:44
unfortunately it looks like loans and free agents will be the only signings we can afford (if we even can that is)

Id like to see the back of senderos, absolutely rubbish signing.

looking at the free agent market and a few spring to mind that would improve the overall quality of our squad, don't shoot me down obviously the likely hood of any of them happening are slim to none but here's a few I would definitely like to see in the squad.

Alexander Buttner, LB, LM, LW - 27
Fabricio Fontanini, CB - 26
Claudiu Bumba, AM - 23
Samba Diakité, DM - 27
Manoel, ST - 27

06 Jan 2017 10:50:17
Would you really trust the manager with money? Garner has been a complete waste of money at £1.8m and O'Halloran at £500k. He has spent far more money on players and wages than Aberdeen yet there isn't much between the 2 teams. Funny how Warburton tries to justify being so far behind Celtic by talking about the gap in financies yet doesn't mention why we aren't miles ahead of Aberdeen with a much bigger budget

06 Jan 2017 14:03:46
Spot on, Stewie.

06 Jan 2017 18:01:38
Whether we should trust Warburton with a serious transfer budget or not is irrelevant. No Rangers manager is likely to see any serious transfer money while King is in charge! What is more, if Warburton leaves then we are liable to see one of King's pals, like Davies, taking the managers job!

The sooner the Three Bears force King to sell his shareholding to a serious investor that is not just full of Bullshit the better.

06 Jan 2017 09:49:02
Garner injured so Warburton let's Hardie go back out on loan. How stupid is that! Surely he could have been given a chance now?

06 Jan 2017 09:56:25
I may be mistaken but wasn't Hardie sent back out on loan before Garners injury.

06 Jan 2017 10:18:18
When will people realise that Hardie is not good enough right now or the answer right now.

06 Jan 2017 04:10:33
How many of the current team would get in a Walter Smith team.

i say heehaw. I know smith had more money to spend.

ok ok maybe LW and BM.

06 Jan 2017 06:22:40
none of them

06 Jan 2017 08:33:20
Erm. Lee Wallace, Danny Wilson and Kenny Miller did play in Walter Smith teams! and a young Miller also played in Advocaat teams which were packed with top class internationals.

06 Jan 2017 08:35:07
Lee wallace, barrie mckay obviously danny Wilson who played for Smith lol! How many of Celtics team would get in? Roberts, brown, dembele?

06 Jan 2017 08:47:33
Which Walter team are you are talking about the one after PLG left it's unfair Walter was given a transfer budget of £15mill to sort the team out we just don't have that sort of money even if we did transfer prices have went through the roof due to the TV deal down south and it wouldn't buy much so we now have to accept where we are and stand together

06 Jan 2017 09:27:59
Sorry but a god few Celtic players would get into that team, it's ok to say they have good players cee

06 Jan 2017 10:56:51
So name them?

06 Jan 2017 11:29:53
For everyone that has named lee Wallace as playing in a Walter smith team, correct me if I'm wrong but it was McCoist that signed him after smith left was it not?

06 Jan 2017 14:11:35
Forfarger

Your right Wallace was signed by McCoist and never played under Smith
